The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver

I just stayed here one night in January and I really enjoyed my stay. Ver nice rooms with a nice view over the harbor. It is in walking distance to the city center and you can walk along the waterfront to get there, very nice walk. The hotel room was spacious, clean and in a very good condition. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. The restaurant had a nice selection of dishes and I remember they had a good selection of cocktails that they present in a nice travel book style, pretty cool idea. Would definitely book this hotel again the next time I‘ll be back in Vancouver. I took roughly 20min by car to get to the airport which was totally fine. Overall a really nice hotel that I can absolutely recommend.

A group of us stayed here for a weekend dance convention and had a great experience. We were on the second floor with a pool-facing room, which turned out to be the ideal location. The convention area was easily accessible by stairs, so we didn’t have to deal with elevator wait times, which can get busy. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we had no complaints about the room—it was clean, well maintained, and surprisingly nice for an older room. The service was excellent, from the warm bell service welcome to how smoothly our special requests were handled, including a microwave, cutlery, extra towels, and access to the Peloton studio. The pool and gym had a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. While the hotel restaurant and coffee bar are quite expensive, we came prepared with our own food and snacks. There are also plenty of fast-food and restaurant options within easy walking distance if you want to step out for a meal.

We wanted a memorable experience to enjoy Vancouver BC for our first time. Nice hotel! The service we were given in the bar deserves a very honorable mention! Kira made some amazing beverages for us! We came back the next day and Zoe made us some more great drinks. We wanted to try high tea here but booking well in advance is highly, very highly recommended or you won't get a table. We also enjoyed a libation in the H2 restaurant with Chris who was equally amazing too. Thanks to all we will def be back in the future for more!

This was our first time at the Westin Bayshore and it was a very nice stay. Our room was nice and clean, we opted for a room without a view and boy... did it have no view 🤣 it overlooked a small, inner courtyard but the view really didn't matter. Staff were super friendly and helpful. It is a lovely hotel but it is really only close to Stanley Park and the convention centre. It's about a 30 minute walk to places like The Vogue. Would absolutely stay here again.

The Westin Bayshore Hotel is fantastic. Everything about my 5-night stay was great. Comfy room, great food, spectacular views, and excellent service. I didn't get a chance to use the heated outdoor pool or the saunas, but other guests really seemed to enjoy them. The complimentary bike rental was such a nice treat, and it allowed me to do some incredible sightseeing along the water.

Was in town for 2 night for the Eric Church concert and my boyfriend and I got the king size room with marina view. We got there early - so they let us check in our bags before our room was ready. We went to nearby pub. Check in went smoothly - the place is very stunning and clean. The room was great, had nice view ( too bad it was mostly raining tho). The bed - omg I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this bed was the comfiest - it was like sleeping on a cloud. The tasting lounge in the lobby was great - tons of different cocktails to choose from and snacks. Great atmosphere and staff. I didn’t get a chance to go in the pool cause of the rainy weather unfortunately. I’d love to come back in the spring or summer to check it out. One of the classiest places to stay in Vancouver. Loved watching planes flying in from my balcony .

Nice location - lots of things to do in the area; ideally for a walk or run along the water; only a 15 minutes walk away from shopping areas. Here some details: Arrival/reception: Checking starts at 4pm; checkout by 12 - latest 1pm means you get less than a full day. The staff was friendly and provided the basic information. Disappointing -and a bit late to hear - that in January there’s no breakfast buffet!!! I wish I would have known this before- I would possibly not have booked breakfast. Rooms: The rooms are relatively small - but I’m sure they match what’s on the website. Having the clothes storage in the bathroom isn’t a great idea because of the humidity. Furthermore the space here is limited. Small coffee machine and empty frigobar. Air conditioning/heating worked well. Great to have windows/sliding door to open - which allows to let some fresh air in. Gym: Kind of disappointing for a Westin: No lockers!!!! Relatively small space limited number of different machines Located in the same area but separated with a glass wall from the indoor pool. Has a separate peloton studio with some bikes. Indoor pool and jacuzzi - ok but also no lockers here in the area. Outdoor pool: had a defect and wasn’t as warm as it should have been. Sauna: 3 barrel saunas - the one I used had aprox 65C which was kind of “lukewarm” for a sauna. No sauna rules - sweat on the seating; disgusting! No shower seen outside. Hygiene??? Restaurant: As mentioned - no breakfast buffet in January. The à la carte breakfasts were ok; aprox $120 for the breakfast for 2 adults in case you would not have booked it! Over all an interesting neutral and partially disappointing experience - lots of room for improvements. I felt that people just did their jobs and have not noticed any passion or any attitude that would have been above and maybe a bit beyond among the associates.

Booked an Christmas vacation and choose to stay at Westin Bayshore. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is right next to the bay, the Stanley Park and walking distance to local eateries. You can take a walk along the shore as well. The room is nice and clean. We asked for extra sandals and they got delivered before we arrived, which is very nice. The restaurant on site is called H2 Kitchen and Bar. We got both the Christmas dinner and Breakfast as well. The food was ok. Service honestly could be better and price is arguably has long way to match up with the value. The bill already included 18%service fee and they still ask for tip, without mention the service is barely there.

This place is fabulous! Perfectly clean room . Good food . Nice staff . What more can you Ask for ?

Dinner, for the prices in their main dining choice. Terrible. Asked for undressed salad, came dressed. Steak not steak, dry and cold. Salmon not dressed as stated and overcooked. Wait time for salad 30 minutes and order of foccacio bread! Unacceptable!​ H Tasting Lounge. Don't go! Service bad..when I asked to send dinner back. Blamed me because I ordered med well steak , it wasn't med but we'll done dry,cold!

Great location overlooking the marina and mountains. The hotel is definitely not new, but is well maintained, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Front desk service is excellent. We enjoyed a couple of meals in H Tasting Lounge, the lobby restaurant. They have a limited wine list and menu, but seem to have covered all the bases, and service was excellent.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. We got the top corner room facing the water and it was huge and had a second bathroom we weren't expecting which was a great bonus. Views both day and night were worth the cost alone. The heated pool is gigantic and worked out great on a cold day and there was a wood sauna right by the pool the kids really enjoyed. There were large amounts of heated towels available. They gave us $50 food credit which we used for coffee and pastries in the morning. Overall very convenient location and beautiful hotel- would definitely book again!

Service at this hotel is terrible. I arrived after a long flight to a long line up at check in with no recognition of my Bonvoy status. Only one staff working!!! Eventually got my key but had to rush to a meeting. Arrived back at the hotel to find both the bar and room service were closed for the night at 11PM. 11PM! The service attitude here is very poor. My room was clean and had a good view. Good wifi. I won't stay here again and won't recommend it.

My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway from Washington and really enjoyed ourselves! The view from out room was spectacular, the staff was very friendly, and the hotel is very close to a lot of little restaurants, coffee bars, a park, and the docks. Definitely would come back here!

LOCATION & DECOR: North side a Vancouver near Marina Bay. Elegantly designed and royal. This place was like a hotel on the Vegas strip as far as its decor. Gold & wooden accents, and wide hallways. Greenery and large windows that provide lots of light. FOOD & DRINK: Full buffet breakfast with everything you can think of. An omelette station, scrambled eggs, bacon and turkey sausage. French toast and a waffle station. Cantaloupe, grapes, oranges. Coffee and orange juice to drink plus more. Everything was phenomenal. All the produce was ripe PRICE: $$$ For this place you think you'd be paying an arm and a leg, but come here on the right night and you'll get a room comparable to any place around. Stayed in a room with the king bed under $275 a night on a Friday night with a same night booking. SWAG/AMENITIES: Swimming pools, hot tubs, outdoor saunas, winter domes on the patio that seat 4. A few restaurants, buffet breakfast, fitness center with wall to wall pelotons and another with a matted floor for aerobic type workouts and weights. STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Everyone was super accommodating. Staff was professional and kind. We had to book a same night booking because our Airbnb didn't work out for that night and we were able to get in.

I just had a wonderful stay here for a conference I was attending. This was my first time in Canada & service was beyond my expectations. Every interaction I had with staff was golden. The bellhop Thomas was the nicest man I've ever encountered at a hotel. Not only did he give me suggestions on things to do in Vancouver but he also helped me figure out what gifts I should bring back to my family. After coming in from dinner, he stopped me with a little bottle of maple syrup & said "For your husband!". I had been struggling trying to find a thoughtful gift for my Virgo husband. This was beyond sweet! I truly appreciated the hospitality & would recommend The Westin Vancouver Bayshore to anyone!

Location was fantastic. The free rental bikes were clutch for bopping around the waterfront and Stanley park. The firepits outside were nice and the outdoor musicians were really good. Housekeeping went out of their way to secure us a humidifier (pretty sure they ran to the store to buy one for us) which was above and beyond. Only heads up is I would recommend having a room that faces the courtyard as opposed to the marina if you plan on sleeping in. The sea planes running constant routes to Victoria start early in the morning and are LOUD!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin Bayshore. We got upgraded to a room overlooking the marina, so it was fun waking up to all the beautiful yachts every morning. Thankfully, our floor was very quiet, so we didn't have an issue with sleeping. The only thing we didn't like was the bed, which I know Westin touts as their "Heavenly Bed." We just don't care of the softness of the bed, nor do we enjoy flat feather pillows. Other than that, we thought our location was perfect: close enough to everything we wanted to do/see, but not smack dab in the center of the busy, bustling city.

I visited the hotel with my family recently and used the female restroom in the lobby. The male janitor had placed a yellow horizontal stick blocking the restroom entrance door to indicate that he was about to clean the restroom. Thus, we could not exit the restroom and the male janitor just stood there and avoided my gaze. We needed to duck below the obstruction that he had placed at the doorway in order to exit the restroom. We had never seen this at other hotels. A more sensible alternative would be the usage of a yellow floor cone, or the janitor could have removed the obstruction when guests needed to exit the restroom. I was appalled at the lack of training for the cleaning staff and the absence of courtesy. Staff should always yield to guests. I did not expect this unprofessionalism from Westin. We feel discouraged to visit Westin again.

We recently stayed at the Westin Bayshore. We have stayed many times and it was lovely! We were engaged there and also were married there in a beautiful penthouse two years ago. our recent stay was nothing like the past. We were continually woken up early to construction, this was on a Saturday and Sunday. When we let management know they apologized but just switched rooms, gave a very small credit and the noise continued with construction and the hallway of our new floor with loud maintenance worker, again early in the morning. We let the hotel know but nothing was done. A security guard was rude, nothing was done. The noise continued and we let higher up management know. They said they were very concerned. Days have gone by with no response. I no longer would recommend this hotel after almost 100 stays. Management is not good, no sleep and no response for the terrible stay.

For gold elite status this hotel offers a standard room next to the elevators and paper thin It's definitely outdated compared to other hotels, feels like a courtyard inside. The design of the shower is awful, no door and it's not like I was aggressive showering, but water splashing onto the floor and soaking the foot towel and bathroom floor each time, also made for one person. For how close the vanity is to the shower and toilet, it might be a slipping hazard and maybe a lawsuit down the line! Also windows are transparent, everyone outside can see you! Pretty sure there is no turn down service, the only thing different we noticed in the room was our bed sheets were pulled up, they didn't bother to throw away the old coffee cup or touch the towels hanging around the room (there's only one bathroom hook). walls. 3 stars cause the view was the best thing even though it was only for standing. Location is great, next to Stanley park and Denman street. You can watch seaplanes land and takeoff. And it's close to the bridge for easy uber across access. The restaurants are good, and so is the outdoor area where they have entertainment in the evening. I think this hotel just needs a facelift. If you're going to take the main spot on the Harbour, make it worth the cost!

I don't know where to start. I booked this hotel due to a housing emergency, my place became flooded. I looked online for reservations and found a good deal. I like talking to people so I called the reservation line. Side note online and telephone reservations are the same rate. Unfortunately despite the online saying they have rooms, the person on the telephone said "no rooms" and tried to direct me to their sister hotel for a room twice as expensive. I said no thanks. I went back online and booked our room. We were given a nice corner suite with a semi ocean view which is pretty cool. The ac is what I love and sadly it isn't very strong so we get a nice warm 22 degrees and not 18-19 which I like. The indoor pool is heated, and the outdoor pool had a nice vibe. If you don't mind walking 5-10 minutes you can get some amazing ramen around here.

Absolutely wonderful staff, great view, but ...our room itself was not in the least Westin level. Leaky shower, cheap-minimal cable TV choices, stuck sliding door, broken toilet handle, etc. and the worst of it...chinsaw-like mechanical sounds off inside the walls mixed with a blinking WiFi box light that we were told "Just couldn't be fixed." We had a lousy sleep every night because of the lights and sounds. I have stayed at many Westin Hotels around the globe...this was the worst room by a long shot. Never again.

This hotel is perfectly located. It is close to Stanley Park and within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. The staff were courteous. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We were in a room that overlooked the marina and the mountains. The room was well-sized with a very comfortable bed, a sofa chair, a desk and an ottoman. It had a big bathroom. Loved the room size. The room had a coffee machine and a Starbucks on location which is convenient. One can also get a bike for 2 hours (at no cost) which is great because Vancouver is very bike-friendly. The breakfast buffet was elaborate and worth $39 if you want to splurge on yourself. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very warm rooms in October had to open windows to cool it down. Doesn't go past 60f. But doesn't feel like it. Was really busy in October. Room were nice bathroom not really great.

A very busy Vancouver fall weekend was anchored in beauty and the bountiful fall colors and water scenes surrounding the Bayshore Westin. Service was excellent from the bell stand, front desk, wait staff to housekeeping. This hotel was extremely busy, with lots of movement in and out during my five day stay, but every request was met quickly and with good ole fashioned service. The location was perfect for my needs. Just a short walk to the convention center, with taxis queued at front door for a quicker journey. Utilized Uber and taxis during this stay and both were great. Hotel is walking distance to high end and budget friendly shopping and dining. Hotel rates were not as expensive as NYC and service provided much more grace and serenity. Kudos to the staff of the small bar area off hotel lobby, who mixed a great Manhattan for a friend. This gent is a worldwide consumer of this libation and and declared it "one of his best". Ice block were embellished with designs and the bitters combo with a chocolate touch were added benefits. These interesting touches reveal the ideology of this beautiful destination and hotel. I've paid more per night and received much less. Well worth the trip. Thank you Vancouver, BC. You've made the list of places to return.

From the daytime doorman who got my wife and daughter their bikes ready to the waitstaff at the breakfast buffet (Juliana you're the best!) Everyone was very friendly and pleasant; they all went above and beyond during my stay. We will definitely be back!

We stopped by to get out of the unexpected rain and ended up having some drinks. Our bartender was nice and super helpful. Gave us some great food recommendations in the area. My partner had a couple of the Westin 60th anniversary pilsners and I had a great sparkling Rose and another wine the bartender recommended. We didn't eat but had a chance to look around at what everyone else was ordering. Looked delicious. It was a great vibe and really nice looking hotel bar.

The hotel is within walking distance to Stanley Park and Robson street for shopping and restaurants and has convenient amenities. The hotel room with the garden view on the eighth floor is not worth the $400+ price tag if you are a light sleeper. The music from the restaurant across the water sounds like a night club. Conversations from the outdoor dining area are clearly audible. It all looks great during the day but when it is time to turn in you can forget about falling asleep for a few more hours. Apparently I read the wrong reviews because they were mostly positive. The hotel room with the garden view isn't worth the high price tag. If you need peace and quiet then this hotel cannot provide that to you.

I had the best hotel deal ever!!! One night I random ly checked hotel rates in Vancouver for the end of March and noticed a Deluxe King Room, Harbor view, in the Main building at Westin Bayshore Vancouver for $27 a night! $27 for a 4-star, category 5 Marriott hotel! I could not believe it so I checked Expedia, booking, hotels.com and they all clearly listed $27 a night! I know I cannot let this deal pass! I immediately remember that Westin belongs to Marriott Bonvoy so I went on the Marriott app and booked directly there! The same room was listed for 34 CAD a night which was around $25 USD at the currency exchange rate! I booked two nights (check in Friday night and check out Sunday afternoon)! Two days before my reservation, I was able to do advance check in! That's when I noticed I was upgraded to an Executive Deluxe King Room, Harbor view in the Tower Building! I thanked my silver elite status with the Marriott! I was able to request amenities and other things on the app prior to my arrival! I came to the hotel late as driving from Seattle to Vancouver in the afternoon was crazily busy! I arrived at 6pm and was given a room on Floor 7! I wish I received a room on a higher floor but I know I should not be too greedy! Thanks to Marriott Silver Status, I get free internet in the room as well! The only down side is that their valet parking is $45 CAD a night! My boyfriend joked that he cannot believe I paid more for a cold small parking slot in the garage than the actual warm nice hotel room!!! The view from our room faced the harbor view so it's very beautiful! I wish the room was newer! It was quite outdated but location wise, it worked perfectly for uBest trip ever!!! I don't think I will ever come across this hotel deal ever again! Hahaha

We used to live right next door to this hotel many years ago. So we were familiar with it and would walk by it all the time. But we never had a reason to stay there. Until recently when we finally made the decision to cross the border since before covid. It's a great hotel! Super nice employees. Smooth checkin experience. Our room wasn't ready so we gave our bags to them to hold while we went and got something to eat. They texted us about 90 min later to let us know the room was ready. The room itself though? Man. Kind of disappointed. I got a bigger Junior Suite since we were to be there for 4 days but the layout of it was so odd. It was a corner unit and corner units are usually the best IMO. But the layout had the couch looking out the sliding glass window with the TV on the wall to the right. So sitting on the couch to watch anything comfortably was out of the question. It didn't really matter anyway, the Samsung TV's and the software to watch TV, rent movies etc was very outdated. No way to stream Netflix or any of the hundreds of apps you use at home. No way to mirror your devices to the TV as well. And the WiFi is unsecure so can't really do much on your devices and stay safe. There was a balcony but it faced so many other windows and it looked old and dirty. Lots of mosquitoes flying around. I don't know why hotels do this, whether it's an old or new trend but the bathroom door was a sliding door. No lock. But why? Why is not wanting privacy a thing? So easy for someone to accidentally walk in on you, not to mention see through the gap it leaves since it doesn't shut flush up against the wall. So weird to me. We tried out the pool one day it was sunny but if you don't go at the right time, one of the towers blocks the sun later in the day. So everyone attempts to occupy chairs in the sun while you're in the shade freezing. And the pool itself desperately needs resurfacing. You can tell it hasn't been touched much in the last couple of years. Big highlight I think was the coffee shop downstairs. Very convenient. Food was decent. Coffee hit the spot. And the baristas could run circles around some of the baristas at Starbucks. They worked fast and efficient and did it with a smile. In all, nice hotel. Initial vibe was that it was a party hotel as it was packed with a bunch of bros when we first arrived. But once the crowd started checking out, we had a nice convenient stay in Coal Harbour.

Great location. Probably the closest hotel to Stanley Park and located right on the water. Was able to get a room at a decent rate for new year's eve. This place is just a few blocks away from some good Korean restaurants in Vancouver. There was a very entertaining party that took over the lobby, bar, and restaurant area. We enjoyed the people watching before kicking in the new year. Rooms are very spacious had a great view of the bay. They thankfully placed us in the tower away from the lobby so it was much quieter that evening. There is supposed to be a renovation this spring to update some of the decor. We'd like to come back in the summer to use the outdoor pool. They have umbrellas and bicycles that you can borrow. Unfortunately it was a cold and rainy day so we didn't use the bikes. We did however use the very practical umbrellas. Had breakfast down in the main restaurant downstairs. Had a buffet style breakfast which was very good. I can see us coming back soon to enjoy more of the outdoors and head over to the park next door.

Best nights rest in many months of travel. Wow. This is truly the best hotel I have stayed in in years and I stay in lots of hotels. Where to start? How about with my arrival ... As my cab pulled in the door was opened by a Westin, idk what that persons called? Anyway he was polite and helpful. Checking in was a breeze and I was upgraded to a beautiful view of the harbor. The bed was so nice. Lots of pillow and snug sheets/blankets. I got in then went dark for eight hours. Yes, eight hours. Normally I'm happy with six. The lobby restaurant, H2, had a great breakfast. A cappuccino and hearty breakfast. I didn't have time to look at the other services. Next trip for sure I will pas extra time.

Is there such a thing as over service? Stayed at The Westin Bayshore for 3 nights during a quick visit to Vancouver. We got an upgraded room on the 17th floor with a view over the skyline and the mountains. I've stayed at a bunch of great hotels in my life but this one had by far the best view I've ever had. We spent the first half hour just taking it all in, it was magnificent. We decided to go green and declined room service, for that, we received 1000 points to our loyalty card. We also received breakfast vouchers for the cold buffet, with the possibility of upgrading to the warm one for $7 (CAD) per person, which we totally did and it was extremely worth it. Usually I am not a fan of hotel breakfasts as 90% of the time the taste is unnatural and I'd rather starve. This buffet was incredible! There is a chef making omelettes on demand with whatever your heart desires. The eggs benedict and the smoked salmon were amongst my favorites. They also have a bunch of assorted pastries baked in house, so please grab a muffin, you won't regret it. As of more healthy stuff, they have you covered, from oatmeal to yoghurt, fruits and granola. We had room-service two nights as we were hungry and too lazy to go out, and surprisingly the prices were very reasonable, food tasty and service fast and impeccable. Everybody was very friendly, courteous and went above and beyond to offer a great service. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and I cannot wait to be back.

Came last winter before the border was closed and the hotel is on the waterfront, so a bit away from downtown Vancouver, but there are lots of restaurants that are walkable from here. You can either pay for hotel parking or you can pay for self park in the garage that is close to the hotel. You can get either a city view or a water view. The hotel has an indoor pool and a gym. Overall the staff were great and the room was nice. Biggest downside is the cost for parking.

Comfortably tucked in between the park and the scenic harbor. This hotel is probably my favorite type of hotel on the world. Heavenly beds, tea tree soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotions. I totally get geeked when I stay in a Westin. Really nice lobby,, very spacious, walks into a bar if you keep going straight. Make sure you make a left if you want to check in and receive the key to your room. The rooms are pretty good,, very spacious. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, heavenly beds are pretty much the best in the industry IMO. The closet is in the bathroom tho, which was interesting to me. In there was a few amenities you can use. Shoe horn, a robe and even an umbrella to use just in case it gets rainy out. Theres a toilet that flushes, if I recall correctly I had a walk in shower that was sublime and wonderful. There was also a sink and faucet combo with a giant mirror in front of it. I definitely enjoyed staying here. Peaceful and quiet, yet not that far from all of the action. Plus the staff was wonderful. Thank you so much for reading my review. I stayed here as part of a company event in April 2023. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location on the waterfront next to Stanley Park. Since the hotel was booked by my company, I didn't understand that the hotel was "pet friendly", so I asked for a pet free room due to my allergies to dogs. The desk staff assured me that the room was being deep cleaned so I checked in and hoped for the best as I started taking antihistamines. The first night was ok, with some congestion and I was able to get through the night so that I could attend my meetings and events. By the third night, my eyes were red and swollen to the point that I had to sit out of several activities, and I wasn't able to sleep since I was constantly sneezing and having trouble breathing, even with the window open. The front desk changed my room, but I found out that the housekeeping staff was using the same vacuums and cleaning supplies, so they were essentially cross-contaminating all the rooms in the hotel every time they came into the room. I would have really loved to enjoy the amenities of the hotel, but because I felt sick the whole time I was there, I wasn't able to, and wasn't able to contribute to the company event in the ways that I had hoped to. I've had allergies all my life, but this is the first time that I've had such a bad experience with a high end chain hotel. I would like to come back, but unfortunately won't be able to to preserve my health.

To begin, the carpat was wet throughout the room. There was no soap in the bathroom. The food from room service was cold and very low qualiTy. The coffee machine had the previous coffee pods left in. The track molding above the bathroom door fell off. The maintenance department said they would send us a complementary bottle of wine and asked what kind we wanted, we said a Cab or Red Blend. They left us a Pinot Noir which we don't care for. we called customer service who refused to fulfill our order with the wine we like. This is definitely NOT a 4 star hote. Please rethink booking here. The price you pay for the room you would think you would have some quality but it's very very cheap.

There are too many places to stay in the beautiful city of Vancouver to even consider staying here. The lobby is beautiful but rooms are dated and old. We were not notified their staff was on strike. There was NO room cleanup the entire time were were there (five days). All restaurants within the hotel were closed. The noise from picketers was deafening. From 7am to 7pm they chanted! You couldn't drown them out. They only compensated us for one night. The staff was nice enough except for one women named Kim who worked the front desk. She not so nicely told us our only recourse was to go somewhere else. Just like that! Nightmare!! We were directed to our first room which is pictured below (never had that happen). Then to another room with rumpled bedding.

Great for an easy but fun family getaway. Easy walkability and able explore Vancouver.

Absolutely loved our stay @ the Westin Bayshore! A few days before their experience team contacted me via email personally to help make our stay wonderful. I booked a Liquid Yoga class in advance as well as arranging a surprise for my partner. Getting to this location was fairly easy - from Burrard skytrain station hopped one of many buses headed to the North Shore and got off @ Cardero. Walked the rest of the way into the hotel. Upon arrival I noticed all front desk staff made their guests feel welcome with personalized attention. Gold recognition was good and we got upgraded to our room with a beautiful view of the water and downtown Vancouver. A hand-written card, chocolate cake, bottle of Perrier was waiting upon arrival in the room which was much appreciated. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The closet in the bathroom could be considered odd but I thought it was fine given the tight hallway area going into the room. Standard Westin white tea amenities but they were reformulated and wasn't the same ones as I had come to love. Liquid Yoga ended up being an hour earlier than booked as apparently the schedule had changed from summer to fall. No big deal - it was a private class and the instructor stayed behind to help me Yoga it up on Sunday morning. Chose from one of many breakfast places in the area and returned for an afternoon dip in the pool and soak in the hot tub. Late checkout was provided due to status and was great. On our way out I saw the specially branded bikes you could borrow for Stanley Park and also some nice places to walk around. I will definitely be back for another stay. First time staying here at the Westin Bayshore, I have to say what a beautiful location. This Westin is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It is close to access restaurants, walking/jogging trails, pier, we are very fortunate to have stay here. Kitty was the one who checked us in and she is very friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and we appreciated her and the information she gave us in enjoying our stay. This hotel also has a Starbucks and very close to cool shops. The bathroom is perfect and the shower head i was ready to take it home. I felt so refreshed and I will definitely come back. The heavenly bath towels were so soft that the fabric was hugging my body! This is our home away from home. Only knock off on the star was the valet gentleman he literally thought we weren't guest at the hotel and treated us like nothing, and our bed was wrinkled upon entrance like someone slept on it ( review my picture) Other than that the stay was great.

Stayed here on October 27 after my wedding. The groomsmen and I checked in around 2:30 pm and we got changed in the hotel room. First thing I noticed was the view. It's a beautiful view of Stanley Park, marina, and the waterfront in general. We had one of our photographers with us so it was a great area to get some pre-wedding shots with the other groomsmen. After the wedding, my wife and I arrived to the hotel to be greeted with some chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling wine. It was a really nice gesture that I didn't expect but thought it was so thoughtful. It's a once in a lifetime event and I was really grateful for Westin making it a memorable evening for me and my wife. They put us in room 1888, which has a symbolic meaning in Chinese. Kudos for them to think of that. Overall, the suite was clean and the room was quiet. We were able to get a good night's sleep after our big event! Would definitely recommend staying here - even if you're a local or a visitor. It's so nice being a stone throw away from the seawall. It's rather a peaceful area that gives a calm feeling.

Stayed here on points+cash, which was a great deal as cash rates were CAD380+. My top notes below. Poor sound insulation : you could hear neighbours, corridor, and seagulls outside at 4am. Very loud and clear. Even the toilet bowl filling woke my wife up. Avoid if you are a light sleeper. Free bike rentals : great value as an equivalent 2 hour bike rental nearby is CAD18. Bikes are basic but good. There are 4 adult and 1 kids bike. They are very popular, and there is no waiting list. So it is pot luck. Location : great for Stanley Park, denman and Robson Street. Not so great for anywhere else. Either taxi or bus to everywhere you need to go. Alternatively sign up for car2go. Wifi: fast and reliable. Taxi from airport : should be a flat rate of CAD35. All taxis have to accept card payments. Beware drivers trying to cheat and charge extra. No Uber in Vancouver yet. Rooms: dated but well maintained. Worth trying to get a harbour view room. It is literally at the waters edge s the best view possible. Is it worth CAD380+? I would say it isn't, but I also understand there is a shortage of hotels in the summer in Vancouver.

The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and the views (if you have A Room With A View) are *excellent*. That said, there is no Club Lounge (which is a bit of a must for business travel), and that can put a crimp in your style if you're expecting Platinum Amenities... So yeah, I'll probably stay at the Sheraton Wall Center the next time...

My bf surprised me with a stay overnight here at the Westin by the water and it was such a great experience! We shared a room with our friends who we were celebrating our birthdays with. The location is really great because there are coffee and bubble tea shops within walking distance and a great view of the harbor. It's also a few minutes drive away from Stanley Park. The room was fully equipped with high quality toiletries and bedding. I also appreciated the lavender oil that they provided for a better night sleep. I also learned that the Westin has a feature where you can pay $5 to borrow work out clothes and shoes if you want to exercise in the hotel. Check in was easy and smooth, the only downside is that parking in the nearby garage is about $45 per night.

Highly, highly recommended! Amazing views. Gorgeous pools. Centrally locates. Free bike rental. Huge rooms. Couldn't be happier.

Great Hotel, with walkable access to Robson, Stanley Park, Coal Harbor walkway, Canada Place, Convention Center and more. There are two main restaurants H, and H2, as well as a coffee shop and gift shop in the lobby. The outdoor pool and saunas looked inviting, but the weather was still too chilly to brave the elements. We had a nice view of the harbor, and the room was clean. I'm not a fan of the barn style door on the bathroom, but that's just a personal preference. The people next door had screaming kids one morning, but clearly the rooms are pretty well sound proofed. Self Parking and a $50 daily food credit was included in the package. The two restaurants have different hours, so when only one is open it gets crowded. Do yourself a favor and make reservations after you check in or expect to wait. We had difficulty finding a dinner reservation at any of the nearby restaurants. The food and drinks we had at dinner and at breakfast was good, albeit somewhat expensive for what it was. We would've loved to eat in the "domes" outside, but there is a $300 minimum and there was only three of us. All of the employees were friendly and provided good service.

It was our first trip to Vancouver so we were not sure what part of town to stay in. As with most things, location is everything. Thankfully we were making the trips with friends and they recommended this place. The location worked great for us. While it is not right in the heart of downtown, it is within walking distance or a quick ride. It is, however, right on the water and that has its advantages of course. It is also very close to Stanley Park. The room was fine. It was average sized and solidly appointed. The best part of the room was the views of the water. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but workable. There are a couple dining options on site. We did not utilize them, but they seemed like ok options. We did have a couple drinks at the H Tasting Lounge. They had solid wine and liquor choices. Our only issue was the patio closed earlier than we would have liked. Likely to control noise for guests, but disappointing anyway. There is an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. We did attempt to use the indoor pool but the second we opened the door we turned right around. It was quite clear because of the drizzly weather all of the kids in the hotel were utilizing the inside pool, and quite loudly at that. Our interactions with the staff were all pretty good. There is also a small shop on site which came in handy when we wanted water or snacks. I struggle between three and four stars for this. The reason is the cost. For the price it likely is closer to a three star. If I take price out of the equation it is much closer to four stars. I landed on four because while there were some drawbacks, ultimately we had a good experience.

View: 10/10!!!! WHAT A VIEW! I can definitely say (after living in Vancouver for 10+ years) this is definitely a top location to feel tranquility. Rooms: 3.5/5 our room had some defects - broken shower faucet & peeling wall. Facility: 4.5/5 NOT BAD, mini fridge with Starbucks coffee & a big TV to stay busy. Room service: 5/5!!!! Plenty to order off the menu!

Love this Hotel! When we arrived by the bus full we were all taken care of pretty quickly. Our rooms were very nice and clean. The location is perfect for touring and seeing the city. Great restaurants in the area. Didn't get a chance to try their restaurant but I did hang out by their beautiful pool and have a cocktail. The pool was heated and it looked very tempting. Will definitely be back

Normally, we somehow end up at the Hyatt in downtown Vancouver or the Rock Creek casino (for the awesome bed only). We thought we would mix it up a bit and decided to stay here. It was a great location right on the water and there is a great walking trail right outside. We picked the marina side and got to see a few sea planes landing. The hotel seems geared towards large conferences, or at least looks that way with the expansive lobby floor space. The bed was firm but comfortable enough. The pillows were great. The room has plenty of space. The down grade of stars comes from a few things that happened. I had asked in my online reservation to be on an upper floor, we were on floor 5, that put us pretty low and could hear people on the trail if we stood out on the balcony. The balcony is enough to step out onto, not sit, but still okay enough. They put us next to the elevator, which was a mix of good and bad. It wasn't like we heard it all night and it was close to jump off and get to the room. There were times we did here it though or people at the elevator. There is no bathtub in the king room. I was really disappointed about that and called down to make sure there wasn't another room we could take with a tub, they told me you had to book a double room to get the tub. The showers have no doors and I figured whoever designed it must have figured out how the water was not going to soak the floor, well, let us just say they need to rethink that. The floor was wet every time we took a shower from the open concept. Neither of us were a fan and my husband was on the zero care meter for it, but after having to donate a towel to the wet floor cause, it hit his radar. The parking for the building is across from the hotel, it was a LONG walk to our room from the garage. Parking is not cheap, however, I highly recommend booking through the AAA deal, that is on their website. It got us free parking and free valet, which is $42 ca. That said, we didn't use Valet, and I would have just because of how far the walk was up to the room. The breakfast buffet was a solid 5 star hit. They have a huge selection of foods, and I was impressed with the oatmeal bar, the cold cuts and fresh bread loaves, fresh fruit and made to order omelets. It is $20 a person, if I remember correctly, my husband was taking care of it. My husband went to get the car while I was checking out, they had given us a parking ticket despite us having registered it. They took care of it quickly, but he had to stand in line to get back to the counter, which took a bit. I am not sure we would stay here again but it would definitely be in the running and whether or not we could get the free parking with AAA, that was a deciding factor since we were here 2 nights.

beautiful hotel, great location, unfortunately could not sleep both nights as the seagulls and other birds all around the hotel keep you up all night. beautiful place however for this reason would rather stay in a not so upscale hotel and be able to have a good nights sleep.

The Westin Bayshore is an excellent hotel choice. The rooms are clean and the waterfront views are beautiful. Self serve parking fee at check in.

Super busy today... we checked in and I thought immediately of Vegas. That's probably wishful thinking. The concierge was lovely and gave us a great harbour view even though we booked a regular city view. The whole experience has been great even though we are lower mainland residents

The worst WAFFLES I have ever eaten were served at the breakfast of the WESTIN Bayshore hotel, these were served from industrial frozen products that give the feeling of having a porridge in my mouth that you can only spit out! A shame for a hotel of such standing as the pastries (cake croissant, chocolate bread) are already at 9am quite soft and without any puff pastry..... (still manufactured elsewhere than at the hotel...) No cereal bread either... I go on to the shot of chia punding with mint or the cook had the absurd idea of putting cinnamon in it that goes very badly together... only the omelette home made is very good. The head of the restaurant (invisible in 4 days) will have to test the food he serves to his customers. On the other hand, the redecorated hotel is more than perfect for a quiet stay in front of the sea or Stanley Park. I highly recommend it but leave the hotel for your expensive and bad breakfast... and lunch or diner apparently....!!!

Well hello again. This is my second time at this hotel, first with my fiancée, and it continues to be a standout in regards to customer service. That in itself, makes this place a wonderful home-away-from-home. It was a busy, Boxing day specifically, and there were a lot of people in town, from the amount of time it was taking to get checked in... but even before that happened, the person in the front handling Valet, was super helpful and welcoming. He allowed us to leave our car in front for a moment, while we checked in. We managed to get checked in, which was a smooth albeit long process, just due to the number people coming in. While checking in, the person registering us noticed we had been in line for a while (of course we were the last in the long line... per the usual) and provided us with an accommodation for the wait. That was really nice of them. Getting to our room... (let's rewind, Boxing day is also my Fiancée's Birthday, and I mentioned that to the hotel when they sent their "let us know if there is anything we can do for you" email)... it was clean, spacious, with a decent view of the water, and lo and behold, there was a something special for her. A sweet treat, card, and something special to enjoy together. What a great customer service experience.. kudos to them for that. The room was quiet, and the curtain was nicely blocking all grimaces of light from the outside. The bed was comfy, supportive and lovely. I thought it was perfect. The bathroom was equally nice, and the "White Tea" bathroom items were great. Mild yet inviting aromas, yup, I smell like a Westin. Morning of Day 2, I realized I didn't have any workout clothes... eek. Not to worry, they can lend you a set of laundered workout clothes, and shoes... socks for $5 CAD, oh you can keep the socks. All New Balance gear. Sweet, and it worked great with the workout facilities downstairs, with a few treadmills, elliptical machines, a single workout bike, a spinning bike, and two weight benches, one set of free-weights, towels, chilled towels, and water dispenser. There was a pool there also, but I stuck to the running machines. The only things you should be aware of, it's a few minutes to the shopping areas on Robson, which means self-parking is a little expensive. Breakfast options outside the hotel are not all that interesting, with the exception of a few nearby Brunch/Waffle joints and White Spot, it's just little bakery cafes. There is plenty for lunch or dinner, but breakfast options are just okay. Even the baggage folks were super helpful, thoughtful and generous with being helpful. This place was customer obsessed. When we requested an electronic water kettle, it magically showed it. They staff were constantly offering their services, to carry things, move things, and it was really kind of them. So there are plenty of options, and maybe cheaper... but in the end, the hotel worked out perfect for us, and I think you will probably enjoy it too. Highly Recommended, and I'll be staying here again.

Beautiful hotel!! I was given a huge corner room in the main building with views of the water. The pool was great as well as happy hour at the bar. I recommend the Smokey Old Fashion :) We were in walking distance to Stanley Park and approximately a 6 minute walk out of the hotel to the sea wall. My only gripes are I preferred a bathroom with a bathtub, and the far trek, through traffic, to and from the airport.
