"The Westin Bayshore has been a local landmark since it opened in 1961. A true child of the 1960s—in a mid-century architectural way—the Bayshore sits proudly on a plot of waterside real estate, surrounded by Stanley Park on one side and rusty, seafaring businesses on the other.
