TL;DR : Keep your curtains closed when you're naked because EVERYONE in the elevator can see through your window. You also might get mistakenly charged $339! Have fun!
For the love of all things pure, let me preface with this:
DO NOT KEEP YOUR THICK CURTAINS OPEN WHILE YOU ARE UNDRESSED.
For context, the elevator has windows at a near 360 with the exception of the doors, and you can see Los Angeles and other hotel rooms as you go up in it. I can not tell you how many naked women I have seen on this trip in the four days I stayed here, each with no idea that there hotel room was completely visible from the elevator. I can not stress enough that without the curtains closed, it is literally see through. I always went to the room they were in and let them know that you could see them just by passing by in the elevator and to make sure their curtain was closed, and immediately they were grateful I told them.
In the photo I included of the inside of the elevator, you can see in the bottom left corner that even the thin curtain they have open is see through. I could see in the room completely, so make sure to close the thick curtain. Please keep this in mind!
Additionally...the hotel charged me $339?! I noticed upon my second day that this random charge had appeared within my bank account and went to the front desk to ask what the heck it was, in which they said was "for parking". Huh? I had only parked here for three nights, and that certainly didn't add up to $339. The woman said it was because they had included the extra $200 as "spending credit", and that whatever I didn't use was refunded once I checked out. Yeah, alright. I just went to my room and figured I would call if it wasn't.
Few days later, I notice the day after checking out that my security deposit was refunded, but not my supposed "spending credit" from the $339 charge. Not only that, but I also had a $161 charge added!
Called again, the male on the other side said the $161 was for parking. I thought so, the total added up correctly. I told him about my exchange with the woman (because I guess the $339 wasn't for parking after all), and he said it was a mistake, and I would be refunded the $339 in a few business days.
How do you mistakenly charge $339?! I didn't even spend that much in any other service at this hotel! That is insane. How does that even happen?!
Also, the lady lying about it?! Huh?
Apart from this, lobby is nice. There was one lady at the Starbucks in the lobby all the nights I stayed, and as I went there for an ice water, she was so sweet and apologized if I had to wait. The male there was nice as well, but I did not have the same amount of experience with him as I did her. So polite!
Additionally, about 20 minutes after checking out I had realized I left a rather expensive item in the room. I had gone back to the lobby to ask if I could run up and grab it quickly, and they let me do that once I provided an ID. I appreciated that more than I could express!
Overall, hotel could do better. Leave a sign in each room letting them know the thin curtains are see through, and that you can see into the rooms in the elevator! And please don't mistakenly charge nearly half a grand and then be okay with one of your employees lying about "spending credit" or whatever. Kind of weird don't you think?
Oh, and please include a microwave in the rooms and get a better mini fridge. That fridge was about as powerful as someone blowing on hot soup.
