At The Wharf, enjoy laid-back American eats and seafood paired with stunning views of Jamaica Bay and the Manhattan skyline, perfect for a sunny brunch.
"Located on Jamaica Bay, The Wharf is a cash-only restaurant with a noteworthy outdoor deck, right on the water. It’s a perfect setting for brunch with the family or a drink at the shaded outdoor bar. The best place for a group is on a covered portion, which extends even further out into the water, but the bar area is where you come for a long, leisurely drink with yourself or one other person. And if you need a bite, they’ve got classics—benedicts at breakfast, burgers and the like—as well as some seafood specials, like fish and chips and a pretty sizable lobster roll. "For water views, The Wharf (Beach 114th) is right on the bay, so you'll get this 'tropical vibe'."
"Located on Jamaica Bay, The Wharf is a cash-only restaurant with a huge outdoor patio that’s perfect for brunch with the family or a drink at the bar. The menu is made up of the classics—benedicts at breakfast, burgers and the like—as well as some seafood specials like fish and chips and a pretty sizable lobster roll. The ideal place to sit with a group is on the covered portion of the deck that extends even further out into the water, but the shaded outdoor bar area is where you come for a long, leisurely drink with yourself or one other person. It’s the low-key, but lively corner of the restaurant, full of friendly regulars, where you can grab a frozen Arnold Palmer cocktail and watch the ferry come in against the backdrop of Brooklyn." - Neha Talreja
"Officina, the three-level food hall restaurateur Nicholas Stefanelli is erecting at the Wharf, is now projected to open this summer. That will give the owner of Michelin-starred Masseria a few more months to build up the collection of amaros he’ll feature at Officina’s coziest bar; perfect the grab-and-go dishes served at the spacious ground floor market; and choose the most glorious “hunks of meat” to be placed before diners at the casual restaurant. The ambitious endeavor was originally scheduled to arrive this spring, along with other members of the Wharf’s roster of rolling openings; that list includes neighboring Rappahannock Oyster Bar and rum-focused Potomac Distilling Company. Stefanelli tells Eater that construction is coming along but that there’s still plenty of little details to fill in. He says he’s working with Jimi Yui, who also helped designed the original Eataly in New York City, on making the multi-purpose space flow as most efficiently as possible." - Warren Rojas
