The White Rabbit - Review - Old City - Chiang Mai - The Infatuation

"The White Rabbit is the cocktail bar in Chiang Mai to prioritize. The drinks feature things like lanna, a spirit made from jasmine rice that’s local to Chiang Mai, and it feels like like any cool cocktail bar you could find in any city: a smallish, very dark space with large comfy couches and a DJ playing Fergie remixes and other early 2000s pop and hip-hop. There’s also the fact that you’ll have to walk through a trippy room with a creepy doll to get to the bar. That not only makes the place memorable, but it’s a hilarious juxtaposition to the relatively polished interiors. Come here after some stewed pork over rice from the Cowboy Hat Lady, which is just a four-minute walk away. video credit: Carlo Mantuano" - Carlo Mantuano

Chiang Mai: Where To Eat, Drink, Stay And Play In The Cultural Capital Of Northern Thailand

"One of Chiang Mai’s coolest cocktail bars, this second-floor hideaway near the city’s north gate is a stellar spot for a drink after dark." - Craig Sauers

Strictly a cocktail bar, the White Rabbit has a nice vibe and an interesting set-up as it's down a short alley and up a couple flights of stairs. There's a whimsical sense of mystery combined with delight once you enter the chill and well-appointed lounge. Staff is old-school polished and friendly without being obtrusive or snooty. Attired nicely with the manners of a Presbyterian minister, they provide excellent information on their creative concoctions. They are consummate professionals. I had an interesting variation on a Dirty Martini and followed it with an Illusion, a bourbon based drink that is a bit Manhattanesque. It won. They have great AC and play excellent music. It's relaxing. It's a top-flight bar anywhere. I've been in thousands of bars including some Esquire Top 50 spots. The White Rabbit is up with the top 20 or so in my estimation. You should go!

A true hidden gem near Chiang Mai's North Gate. The White Rabbit is an upscale, intimate cocktail bar that feels like a secret find. The cocktails are artfully crafted and delicious, and the service is elegant and attentive. If you're looking for a quiet, sophisticated spot for a drink, this is it.

Consistently great cocktails over the years every time we visit. Super chill, not pretentious place. If you want high-quality drinks tailored to your palette, this is the perfect spot.

A luxury speakeasy hidden in a cute little building and has absolutely amazing drinks. A must visit in Chiang Mai. The drinks are tasty and well profiled, and include Thai elements. I got the dirty martini. It is a savory twist on a dirty martini - as someone who doesn’t love spirit forward drinks but strays away from super sweet cocktails, this hit the spot.

Felt like im going on an adventure when entering because of the dim and secluded entrance and narrow staircase leading to the bar HAHA Drinks and service were awesome. Place is chill and they have a good choice of bgm. Snacks were refillable too. Drinks we tried: 1. Sesame sour - Whiskey is strong and aftertaste is a bit spicy. 2. Make Me Invisible - it was their menu signature. Aftertaste is a bit milky 3. Memo Rice - One of their seasonal drinks. Made with black sticky rice and sesame. aftertaste is nutty and pretty easy to drink. 4. Summer Pornstar - a Gin based drink. As the name suggests, its very refreshing and easy to drink.

I was a bit unsure how to find the place. At first I thought it was an abandoned building with the creaky old floors🤣 but the ambiance was 5/5. Good music and good vibe. The snack served was also quite addicting haha. The cocktails are a bit on the pricey side but the drinks really hit the spot. A must visit here in Chiang Mai
