"Wiltons has been open in some form for more than 280 years. In restaurant terms, that most definitely counts as ‘a hot minute’ and should be all the proof you need that you’re in safe hands for a winning oyster experience. The business was originally a fishmonger that has morphed into London’s ultimate old-school seafood restaurant in St James's, and the servers take everything from shucking to presentation very seriously. It’s on the spenny side, but worth it for the opportunity to gobble up a slice of London dining history alongside your Loch Ryan natives. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and found the atmosphere to be charming and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive, though the service was slightly slow at times—perhaps due to being a bit understaffed. I ordered the fish and chips, which were decent, but the batter let it down. It was a little too soft and doughy inside, lacking the crisp finish you'd hope for. Still, a nice spot with good vibes, especially for a relaxed evening.

Excellent food, disappointing service. Food was great and I’d recommend anything. We went the day after Boxing Day and the lady serving us was not in a good mood. They were out of quite a few dishes on the day. It was disappointing but wasn’t a deal breaker for us. Yet the server gave no grace for your brief moment of disappointment, getting edgy about late deliveries and lack of options. I imagine if I went on a different day the service would be as good as the food and I’d be giving this a 5 star.

If I could sum up this place in one word, it would be: amazing. I’ve been here multiple times now, and its consistency is what truly sets it apart. Every visit has been exceptional, and it’s easily one of my favorite spots. The food is incredible. The sticky chicken thighs are to die for—an absolute must. On steak night, the onglet is always perfectly cooked—tender and full of flavor. And the sticky toffee pudding? Arguably the best I’ve ever had. What truly elevates this pub is the people. The staff are fun, kind, and outstanding at what they do. Michaela, in particular, is a delight—so helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere ties it all together. Cozy and warm, it feels like home. Every moment here is a joy, and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Ordered a leg of lamb got lump of fat. Food served cold. Roast potatoes like stones. Three young women working had no interest in serving or experience. Its not a gastro pub. Avoid one can do better for the money.
