Our dining experience was fantastic, thanks to Maria! She was incredibly patient, ensuring we never felt rushed, and her extensive knowledge of the menu helped us make the perfect choices. Her warm and professional service made our meal even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be recommending this to others!!

I used to love it but I think it's losing some of the charm. I found crock roach in the bathroom, there are spider web and dust around the restaurant. Every time I asked for a special request never get satisfied. Plus one afternoon there was only one type of Sunday roast available. I think the best part is the food, still good, especially the beef.

Amazing value the rooms are really cosy and nicely decorated with premium toiletries. Much appreciated after a long flight. The staff were very welcoming to me and my dog and offered bowls and pet beds on arrival, they also helped me into my taxi with my heavy bags whena I left. The pub is lovely, amazing location on the common, open fires and a delicious Sunday roast. Honestly couldn't ask for any more I will be back and telling friends.

This review is long overdue! Our stay at The Windmill Clapham was truly unforgettable, and there’s so much to share about this wonderful establishment. My wife and I stayed at The Windmill for seven days during the Christmas holiday to New Year’s, celebrating our wedding and honeymoon. We also had a friend stay for two nights to attend our reception, along with many family members and friends who joined us. The hotel was incredibly accommodating, providing ample space for our reception. The communication and service in the months leading up to our event were timely and concise, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. The value for the price was very fair, considering the number of people attending and staying on-site. The food at our reception was piping hot and delicious, served promptly and with care. Throughout our week-long stay leading up to the big day, we enjoyed a complimentary hot breakfast every morning. We tried everything on the menu, and every dish was served fresh and tasted amazing. Afternoon drinks at the pub were also a highlight—whether we were relaxing in the snug or at one of the cozy pub tables. Ordering food and drinks via the Young’s app made the experience even more convenient, allowing us to enjoy service directly to our table or room. A special mention goes to the entire staff, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality truly made our experience memorable. We originally chose The Windmill because of its great location and the unforgettable sticky toffee pudding we had tried months before—and we’re so glad we did! The reception went better than we could have ever imagined, and we’re incredibly grateful to The Windmill Clapham for making our special day so perfect. TLDR; Great service, amazing food

On vacation in London and was treated by friends to a lovely afternoon of drinks after walking the common. What a gem of a pub. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. Thanks Maria for such cheerful service. Wish we lived closer Can’t wait to visit again.

We had a party of three with a baby for Christmas lunch and it’s a lovely pub inside. Service was fine and attentive, the food was a good four stars but not quite at five. They were very accommodating with the baby and the pram too which we appreciated. A good pub and well worth a visit

This was our second stay at The Windmill and we will definitely go back! The staff were awesome and I know that’s an over used word but they really were. From the minute that we arrived early )an overnight flight ) to the minute we left they couldn’t do enough. The young man in the front desk pulled out all stops to get our room early . The room was lovely and cosy and very clean. The food excellent especially the fish and chips and venison pie! And we had more than a few of those Passion fruit cocktails! We especially love the vibe. Families and dogs are made to feel very welcome and please don’t ever change that part!! This is a great hotel and pub close to Chelsea and Battersea and we love it! Shout out to Nagi who got us a minicab when our Uber left us stranded at 6:30 am !! Well done everyone you made our stay a wonderful experience!!
