Yelp
TLDR: A corner window-service spot offering hearty, delicious smash burgers, a solid chicken sandwich, and a few standout sides. Reasonable prices, slower service than In-N-Out and seating can be challenging, but the food quality makes up for it.
The Food:
-Double Cheeseburger, $7.50, 5/5: Two patties, two slices of cheese, greasy, hearty, and packed with flavor in all the right ways. For its size and price, it gives In-N-Out a run for its money.
-Fried Chicken Sandwich, $7.35, 4/5: A well-done chicken sandwich. The cutlet is crispy, the chicken is juicy, and the slaw complements the flavors without overpowering. Not as indulgent as the cheeseburger, but still satisfying.
-French Fries, $3.95, 5/5: Straightforward, skinny fries that perfectly complement the burgers. If you're not a fan of In-N-Out's fries, these might win you over.
-Shaved Kale Salad, $7.95, 5/5: Perfectly dressed with a balanced flavor profile. This salad adds a healthy side option to your burger meal and is big enough to share between two or three people.
-Strawberry Milkshake, $6.00, 2/5: The milkshake was too runny, and the strawberry flavor--while locally sourced--barely stood out. Topped with freeze-dried strawberries, which were interesting but not enough to redeem the drink. Wouldn't order again.
-Sauces, $0.60 Each: The house sauce is fine but unnecessary, as the burgers already come with sauce. The jalapeño sauce is creamy with a mild hint of jalapeño--nothing groundbreaking, but a nice alternate flavor if you want something extra.
Would I Return? Definitely. I've been here several times and will likely come back. I'm curious to try the Green Bowl and have also been told the Beauty Burger is worth checking out.
