Google
Great (great!) burger. Arguably best value in LA. $4 for a single. $4 for fries. $2.50 for a drink. $10.50 (ish) for burger fries and a drink? Basically In N Out prices, for a steakhouse quality burger. Let’s go Win-Dow!

Omar Aniff

Google
Pretty solid breakfast burrito with crispy potatoes and a slightly spicy taste. Wish it had a side salsa to dress every bite. Otherwise a good option but not on the level of the greats in the city.

Cordero Roman

Google
Well I’ll be damned…a delicious no frills burger in LA that doesn’t cost $47?! If you’ve ever been to a small town county fair, this is the smell and taste of The Win-Dow. Double cheeseburger costs $7.95. The seating area SUCKS though. It feels like a McDonald’s ball pit of kindergarten classroom stools. (Please just invest in a few shitty IKEA patio tables / chairs.) But I guess that’s on me…the place is called “The Win-Dow” and not “The Win-Dow with Ta-Bles and Ch-Airs.”

Jasmyn Isabel

Google
The burgers and chicken sandwich are solid. Always fresh. Always good. Always comes to mind when I’m thinking of what to eat. I’ve gone in person and have had it for delivery, always hits.

Aaron Gribben

Google
The BEST burger you will have in LA hands down! Plus, their customer service is top-notch. I recommend the Cheeseburger and an Arnold Palmer.

Jay Bakenhaus

Google
I got a double cheeseburger and two large orders of fries. There weren't a lot of fries for two large orders. The burger was good. I liked that it didn't take long for the order to be ready. The bench seats on the street seemed a bit lame. I ordered that small amount of food and it still cost me 20 dollars. Things cost so much more in California.

Alex Xander

Google
I'm glad I finally stopped by to try The Win-Dow The burger is solid and such a great value for the price. Soft pillowy bread, juicy patty, cheesy, and crisp pickles. The vanilla milkshake is outstanding. It's flavorful, creamy, thick, and actually rather light. The fries however are the only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review. These fries are horrible. Soggy, cold, bland. In N Out fries are better

Avedon Arcade

Google
I figured this place would be all hype given how this city likes to exaggerate or gas up the most basic of places. But I was so wrong. Why go to any other fast food joint when the quality and price here beats any other spot in town? Burgers are delicious and the fries are done right. They also have some other options like salads and a chicken sandwich but it’s really about the smash burgers here. Fairly simple menu so you don’t have to waste time. That and the shakes. The S’mores shake is worth checking out! I never liked In n Out or Shake Shack anyway, I’ll stick with the Win-Dow!

Yelp
So affordable, delicious. Good vibes all around. Under 5 dollar cheese burger is almost unheard of. It wasn't the typical smash burger but it definitely beats for the win and other burgers I've tried even at a lower price. Will come agian.

Yelp
Good food (I've ordered from this location no less than 10 times) but their service is an issue. Also, the fact that they haven't responded at all to the community outrage speaks volumes. If they come out and correct the record I'll gladly update my review.

Yelp
nasty food i got food poisoning they feed ice agents do not support this business go get a better burger somewhere else silverlake deserves better

Yelp
Preface: To 5 smash burger joints I'm comparing to based on Peacock's "Call Bullshit" offer on June 7th for Emmy nominated Poker Face. So this review is solely on a two bite comparison. Burger did not live up to the hype. Overly sauced burger like they were overcompensating for something. Plus, service wasn't great... I corrected at the pickup window that it was To-Go and he just sloppily put it in a bag. Literally just dumping it in.

Yelp
The Win-Dow might be my favorite burger so far in the Los Angeles area. However I wouldn't classify it as a smash burger since they have pretty thick patties which make the perfectly cooked patties juicy and meaty. I got the double cheeseburger($8). I love the texture of the melted cheese with their house made sauce and the pickles which cut the greasiness of the burger, I also just really love how melty they get their cheese which was different from other burger locations I have been to. For the price and quality of the meat I truly think this place is a steal. The meat quality was tender and almost melt in your mouth in addition to the super soft potato bun. Their fries are also perfectly crispy almost like a better McDonald fry.

Yelp
I absolutely love The Win-Dow! I first discovered the one on Rose in Venice and the Silver Lake location is closer to me so I come to this one more often. I originally fell in love with their kale salad (pecorino romano, golden raisins, onions, pine nuts, lemon vinaigrette), but now my go to item is their grain bowl. Their grain bowl is oh soooo satisfying and I'm happy I get in a nice dose of veggies with their serving size. The soft boiled egg compliments the grain and the veggies add a nice bite. Their smash burgers are definitely a hit. Sweet bun with a patty, cheese, pickles and grilled onions always hits the spot when I'm in the mood for a burger. They are on the smaller size so if you're hungry, try getting two lol! Fries are crispy, a little on the saltier side but it compliments the burger. Chicken sandwich is super crispy as well! The slaw ties the whole sandwich together. Perfectly seasoned. I really wanted to give this place five stars, the only thing that held me back is that the kale salad is slightly different at this location compared to the Venice location. They consistently add wayyyy too much pecorino romano which ends up masking all the other beautiful fresh flavors. Twice now it was so heavy that it was hard to get through. The Venice location makes a beautifully balanced salad and the kale tends to be more massaged, overall a more pleasant experience. Interestingly enough, the burgers actually taste better at this location! Customer service has always been smooth, they do tend to have large rushes of crowds to order, be ready to wait a bit or just order online. I would honestly suggest trying everything on the menu, might need to come multiple times or just share with a group of friends!

Yelp
I got their Impossible version of the Smash Burger. The burger was tasty but smaller than the Smash Burgers I'm used to. I would need to return to one of their other locations and order the beef version of the same sandwich to see if there's a difference. BB

Yelp
My daughter and her boyfriend like this place for their burgers, so they wanted to treat me to dinner. I'm ALWAYS down for free food!! The Win-Dow had quite a long line that evening. Apparently, that's normal. Since I couldn't find parking, I decided to stay in my car and park illegally like the others. I had to move my car about twice while waiting for them. By the time we got home with the burgers and fries, it wasn't that hot anymore. I should have nuked it for a few seconds. Maybe that's why I wasn't that impressed with it. The size of the smash burger was good. I didn't see anything red which I was happy about. The fries were plentiful, but the ketchup made it taste better.
google avatar

Denis S.

Yelp
What's the best way to make it clear that you're not kid-friendly? Refuse to serve burgers without onions. Is it because the patties are cooked with onions in them? No. It's just because they want to make it very clear that your children and people with children, are not welcome. At least they're not located in a community full of young families! Oh wait, no, they're in Silverlake. Oh well, I guess we'll just take our money to one of the other ten smash burger spots within a 3-mile radius.
google avatar

Keilab A.

Yelp
This is my #1 smashburger spot in LA. First of all the price is unmatched for the quality and taste. The patties are seasoned so well with a nice buttery crust. Just a simple cohesive burger. Their fries are perfectly salted. They just get it here.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Some influencer said this was the best burger place and ranked it higher than in-n-out so we were just curious. We got the double-double and fried chicken sandwich and fries. The price was pretty cheap and decent, and when we got to try it, it was better than we expected! However, we're biased, so we can't rank it higher than in-n-out . Maybe if they included lettuce and tomatoes, it would complement the burgers greasiness! Also their fries were good but not amazing. There's no real seating, they did have a kind of a ghetto set up, so just come with the expectation that you'd sit on crates under a canopy. Probably not ideal for larger groups Overall, if we were in the area and wanted to grab a quick bite, this is a decent place!
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
I requested drinks with no ice and the staff were angry and refused to remove the ice from my drinks even though I mentioned I had an allergy. The service is terrible, the staff is rude, the ambiance is subpar. If I could give negative stars this business would receive -5 stars.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
I can't speak for the place itself or the customer service. But I had the burger at work when the doctor ordered some for the staff, and it was one of the best tasting burgers I've ever had. This is even better than In-N-Out. I enjoyed every bit of it. Too bad it goes quick. I swear four bites and it's gone. Can't wait to finally check out the actual place and grab another.
google avatar

Victoria B.

Yelp
Honestly SO good!! We were in LA for a concert & my friend said she knew a good burger spot. We were not disappointed. I don't really like onions but you honestly can barely taste them & if anything the cheeseburger was really good. The prices are also affordable and worth it for the food that you get. I got a cheeseburger, fries and tried their vanilla bean shake. The fries were alright but I really enjoyed the shake. Such a good meal before the show & we would definitely come back next time we're in the area. Another thing to note, there are seats outside but it's just like little chairs. We decided to eat in the car instead.
google avatar

Raymond V.

Yelp
No frills, no complaints. Only been getting it through delivery whenever I've got the random urge for a burger or a quick bite. Delivery always quick and everything is always packaged nicely. I've loved the kale salad (!) and the grain bowl with a side of the chicken. Everything is well balanced and well seasoned and the ingredients are well sourced and you can taste it. The burgers and the fries are perfectly fine, no complaints. Price is good for what you get.
google avatar

Yelp
Currently on a mission to find the best smashburger in Southern California. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Line moved quickly and we ordered the kale salad, fries, two plain doubles and a single. Burgers were some of the BEST smash burgers we've come across - meat had a nice crunch and bread was super fresh. The fries were great, but the kale salad!? WOW, so much flavor and so craveable.
google avatar

Danni L.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. The service is always timely even though orders are made to order. Sitting on a convenient corner, the environment is urban. There's only outside seating under a tent that adds to the city vibe. The burger is always cooked to perfection; not overcooked, and perfectly smashed with crispy edges. Easily one of the top burger joints in Los Angeles.
google avatar

Elise B.

Yelp
Ordered online for pick up- such a smooth process. They text you when the order is ready, but the online will estimate a time frame for you, it's usually pretty quick. When it's time to pick up you go to the pick-up window and show your order & they give you your food. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich & fries for lunch. The sandwich is crispy & it's a great lunchtime meal!
google avatar

Raya M.

Yelp
I live in studio city and the drive here was not easy on a Saturday, it took 30 minutes of traffic @5pm. This really is a to-go spot, they have a bunch of plastic chairs and no tables. Not so great in the winter because it was freezing but we knew the food would not be great if we waited to eat it at home. I will say that the food was delicious!! Some of my favorite burgers in La, the pickles on here are perfect. The chicken sandwiches are also delicious and borderline better than the burgers. Fries are average but still good. Their sauce is wonderful and I know it's difficult to nail the sauce. I do want to try the kale salad next time. As much as I loved the burgers, the traffic and time to get there was not something I would do regularly for this. I hope they open a location in the valley, I would definitely visit that one often.
google avatar

Hani J.

Yelp
The burgers and fries? Delicious. Double cheeseburger with everything on it was served piping hot and delicious. Wouldn't change a thing. Fries were perfect. Crispy, salty as can be, and perfect temp. Red stripe was available next door so we made sure to snag one (open container not encouraged of course) The seating area was super basic and didn't really have any frills, just some stools and a sun cover. Plenty for shoveling down some burger and fries. Service was simple, it's a burger window, don't expect much and you can't be disappointed. Can't wait to grab a burger here again soon!
google avatar

Tamara H.

Yelp
The burgers are good but the kale salad is what I would go back for. Ordered a single and a double burger with two orders of fries and a couple of kale salads on UberEats for pickup. That's the way to go. Parking was a problem because there was a farmers market going on. It was a Tuesday. There is also a farmers market on Saturdays according to a sign we saw. Didn't have to wait long for my order. All app orders are picked up from a window next door to an ice cream shop. There's another window if you're placing an order at that moment. The burgers were good. Fresh and a solid tasting burger. Fries weren't anything special. They're like McDonald's fries but they were not particularly fresh or hot and they were dry. I would pass on them if I came back. The kale salad was delicious! Great dressing on it and the croutons and golden raisins were tasty in it. Next time I will try their dipped soft serve ice cream cones. They look yummy but a lot with the burgers. It's a walk up window. Ambiance is whatever is going on on the sidewalk at any given time.

Yelp

Yelp
I have been wanting to try the win-dow's famous smash burgers. Parking is near nonexistent in the area unless you illegally park in the market nearby. I ordered 1 burger with no cheese, 1 cheeseburger, 1 fries, and an ice cream. The order was ready within 10 minutes. The burgers were delicious. The patty was crispy and flavorful. The bun was soft and fluffy. The pickles gave a nice crunch and lightness. The thousand island sauce made the burger taste less dry too. It was probably one of the best smash burgers I had. The fries were nothing special and not worth it. They were crispy but mostly hollow of potatoes on the inside. The second star of the meal was the ice cream. Biting into the crunchy chocolate covering with a sprinkle of nuts along with the soft serve vanilla underneath was just delicious. Best part was that it wasn't overly sweet. I was able to taste the chocolate, vanilla, and nuts all at once. Overall, the smash burgers lived up to my expectations. The ice cream was a nice dessert to finish my meal. They are pretty reasonable for their price. I also loved the area the win-dow is located since there was a farmers market event being held right in front too. I am definitely coming back whenever I want smash burgers.
google avatar

Lovella A.

Yelp
Win-dow is literally a window (booth) serving up your classic smashburger. The food itself is a-ok but I rated it a 4 for the price point and their simple yet quality ingredients. It's also not too messy compared to other burger spots. They also offer a fried chicken sandwich, kale salad and grain bowl. Nothing too fancy but good alternatives if a burger isn't your thing!
google avatar

Bayan M.

Yelp
Got the cheeseburger and it was 10/10 especially for the price!! It's only $4.25 and hits the spot. I've tried the fresh lemonade before as well and it's super yummy. It's a hole in the wall so you order from outside. They have stools in the front to sit and eat at and the service was quick! Only downside is that it's hard to find parking.
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
I'm currently on the search to find the best smashburger in LA/OC, so of course I had to try win-dow. The price is definitely affordable, especially compared to other smashburger places, but I felt the taste and quality was somewhat lackluster. The best part of the experience was sitting outside on red stools eating my freshly smashed burger, which made it feel like a genuine "street food" experience. ------ Smashburger ranking: Taste: 4.5/10 Price: 7.5/10 Vibe: 5/10
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Burgers are mid. Too much ICE in the drinks. Over priced, parking sucks. Waste of money. Won't ever support this business again
google avatar

Brenda G.

Yelp
This place is terrible. service was awful, burger was salty, line not worth it. nasty! don't spend your money here. horrible place

Dalia E.

Yelp
The burger I got was ICE cold and soggy. The service was not the best. Do better for the community.

Yelp
the win-dow supremacy! having tried goldburger's and for the win on my quest to find my go-to smashed burger in la, I can safely say this is my fav smashed burger so far. i like the casual outside seating with red stools reminiscent of street vendors in asia. the service was succinct and quick, the cheeseburgers came out hot and ready and the ketchup packets were refilled as we got our order. parking is metered + street, not sure if there's a bathroom. curious about the milkshakes despite having mild lactose intolerance and i hope to return soon :)
google avatar

Laken B.

Yelp
The consistency of everything in the burger was on point. Seems to be a busy/ popular spot. The cashier wasn't the friendliest. She rushed our order. However, the burger was great. Street parking available in the area. Cute little hidden area.
google avatar

Jenny G.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great burger spot, no frills, simple menu, definitely check out this place. I had the single cheeseburger with fries and it hits the spot! Prices are super reasonable, single cheeseburger is $4.35 and the double is $7.50. There are beef burger and chicken burger options. For dessert, they have various options for shakes or dipped cones. Order at the window and eat outside. Quick and friendly service!
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
Smash burgers are usually small and well overpriced. I expected this place to be no different, but the prices were super reasonable considering where this spot is located. The flavor of the burger was incredible, the pickles were perfection (and I'm not a huge fan of pickles in burgers) and the house sauce took it to the next level. The burger is small so you may want to consider getting a double. The fries were aight. They did the job. They were crisp and golden brown. The lemonade was pretty good and the shake was decent, but I only got vanilla. I just wish they would add better seating. They had these plastic stools with no tables so you're sort of hunched over the stool eating. I noticed some people take their food to the benches of eateries down the way or to the benches outside the closed bar across the street. Also it's just street parking so good luck!
google avatar

Janelle O.

Yelp
Pretty much obsessed with these smash burgers! They are SO yummy and everything about this place slaps- the fries are tasty, the prices are FAIR ($4.00 burger hello) and the service is quick and friendly. Style of this place is walk up, you order and pick up outside at the window. There is no indoor seating or facility for guests. The only seating is some plastic stools outside. In the daytime they put a pop-up up so there's a little shade! Parking is a little scary, street parking in the hilly neighborhood behind.
google avatar

Nary T.

Yelp
I'm writing a review because I LOVE their kale salad!!! And I thought I would never say something like that haha. Don't skip out on it! I only have photos of the said, because I enjoyed it that much! I have tried their double cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. I definitely like the cheeseburger more than the chicken sandwich. However, they are both worth trying! I just prefer smash burgers. This location is tuck inside a neighborhood. Parking is possible, but it can be a bit hectic; All street parking. Have yet to order at the location and sit down to eat. I usually do to-go orders, but looks like there are plenty of outdoor seats. Overall, the food is delicious and the price for it is great! I definitely need to try their desserts one of these days!

Yelp
Food- 4.3/5. FIRE SMASHBURGERS. I was surprised as pictures online seem more intense with the thickness and sloppiness of a smash burger but turned out to be a manageable portion where you feel satisfied. *Get a Double Cheeseburger. You will be happy getting two instead of one as the meat patties are thin! * Fries were good. They taste just like Burger King Fries where they are long, a little thick, and has some crunch factor to it. So if you like your fries well-done, you'll like these. Service- 4/5. They are very busy and forgot my requests for water two separate times. Had to wait for the water as they were busy putting burgers out the Window. Ambiance- 2/5. The chairs scattered all over is an interesting concept and kinda gives the place some charm but I don't enjoy eating hunched over. You have to use multiple seats to create a table and try to comfortably eat. Nah...next time I'd rather eat in the car or go someplace else. I enjoyed eating my food but across the street there are a group of loitering, drunk men that shout and holler random slurs and/ or jokes cursing people out which ruins the atmosphere. You will need to park in the neighborhood and walk over to Win-Dow. I'll come back for the burger as I really enjoyed it. I would describe it as a runny, saucy, and wet burger.
google avatar

Yelp
The Win-Dow is like if someone decided to make McDonald's food really good. Now, we all know that McDonald's has excellent fries. They are crispy and well-seasoned. Same here. These fries are terrific and you need to get them. One order is probably sufficient for two to share. McDonald's burgers are wretched things with gray "meat" patties. No thank you. The Win-Dow burgers are definitely on the smallish side but the bun is soft and really wonderful, the burger is well-seasoned and has beautiful crispy edges, and the pickles add great texture and flavor. I had a single burger but a double patty is probably the best move here. Finally, the chocolate shake was luscious. It was thick and very flavorful. The parking situation is atrocious, possibly the worst in all of Los Angeles. Come here with a friend and drop your buddy off to order food while you drive around in circles. That is my parking advice.

Yelp
This is a great smash burger if you can't get to For The Win. Priced right and tastes good.
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
Food was amazing!!! Definitely worth the wait! Customer service was great, Especially Zack!!!!!!
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
A much different experience than my first one there. The double just came off the grill, the meat patties were hot and delicious, the cheese was melting just right all over the patties and their special sauce was fresh, light and delicious. The crunchy pickles added an extra touch to this umami of a meal. Very satisfied! These burgers are great!

Yelp
My friend & I came here for a cheap, post workout meal because I've been seeing it all over social media and REALLY wanted to know what the hype was about. Well, 3 words: I get it!! We both opted for the infamous kale salad with different proteins. She got the patty while I got the chicken. PSA: I am NOT a kale salad girly and never have been BUT I don't know what they put or how they massage the dressing into the salad to leave it so crunchy and flavored but we could not stop talking about how GREAT it was. For balance, we also shared some fries which were crisp and paired well with the jalapeño sauce. My lemonade, salad with chicken, and fries with dipping sauce all came out to $19 which I think is pretty good compared to many other LA locations. Some extra bonuses were plenty of seating and street parking for a Saturday afternoon - line can get long but goes by pretty fast!
google avatar

Dana S.

Yelp
Delicious burger, fries and fresh lemonade. The burger patty itself was not remarkable, didn't taste very seasoned, the flavor came from the sauce/spread. Grilled onions were a nice touch. The fries were actually the star. Equivalent to in-n-out's well done fries, but I didn't have to special order them that way. Fresh lemonade was good, tart but sweet at the same time. No seating area, everyone takes it to go, the small stools aren't really conducive to sit and eat. Parking was a bit of a challenge. You're competing with the neighbors for street parking and sadly, many people cannot parallel park. Ordering was fine server was helpful but quite a wait to get my food. Overall good smash burger, but the trophy still sits with GoldBurger for the best ever.
google avatar

Lynn L.

Yelp
Been driving around LA with my husband trying smash burgers. This is up there with For the Wjn. However, these fries were ao good! And the mint ice cream was delish too! Smash burger was great. Chicken sandwich was okay. Wouldn't order it again. However, for the price - this might be the best smash burger so far.
google avatar

Huda K.

Yelp
I don't like kale but the kale salad here is so good, especially with chicken. I order from here a few times a month. Parking is very difficult but totally worth it. I found it easier to order delivery.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and it was decently crowded. However, the line wasn't too long. Got a double cheeseburger, chicken burger and fries. The fries were great. They tasted like McDonald's fries. The chicken burger was perfectly crispy on the outside without being too thick on the breading, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Double cheeseburger was decent, nothing too extraordinary. It's good for the price but portions are not enough if you like to eat a lot like me. I can't complain though, you can't find these prices in LA. There's an outdoor seating area with plastic chairs, but no tables, however I loved that vibe. Must visit!

I ordered from here via UberEats recently. It's been on my to try list, so I was really excited to finally get a chance to try this place out. I ordered some fries, a chicken sandwich, and a burger. It's literally a basic burger, but they do it right. It's pretty good and hefty. Would I say it's my fave burger? No, but it really is a solid choice for a an easy no frills burger. My highlight from my order was the chicken sandwich. I really enjoyed the crunchiness from the chicken mixed with the sauce they had. A good burger spot to add to your list for LA burgers.

Yelp
Like any LA restaurant service can be iffy. I witnessed someone ask for salt and the cashier be very offended by this. The ordering window is mysterious and hard its to hear each other. Other than that the burgers are well seasoned and you really can't beat the price in this economy. The lemonade tends to be on the less sweet side, but I am a little nervous to ask for sugar so I leave it be. Parking is street only.

Yelp
Had way too much ICE in all their drinks, terrible management. Don't eat here or at any of their other locations in LA. In-n-out is better and cheaper

Yelp
This place is better than easy st burgers!!! Please give this place a try. I have been putting all my friends on this place ever since I tried it because it is so good. The fries are like mcdonald's fries if they were perfect. If you know what I mean. So flavorful and crispy but soft on the inside. Burgers are the perfect smash burger, the sauce really brings out the flavor. Service was amazing, the guy at the window was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable even though we came a bit late. Left a good impression on me because it was a great, hearty meal. Only thing to note is the parking. Its street parking in a packed neighborhood so be prepared for that frustration!
