Yelp
The Wine Kitchen is not-so-hidden gem of Leesburg.
The Small Comfy-intimate inn-style dining area will have you relaxing into your meal, as the decor keeps your mind waffling back and forth between medieval flights of dancing, and the Griffendor Break room. Quaint is NOT a passive-aggressive insult here. It's a Badge of beauty and appreciation ..
The service was friendly albeit a little curt at first, but quickly warmed up.
The food was delicious and the bartender made a pretty good Old Fashioned cocktail.
Cons:
The seating here was a little tight. Not too much so, but If you are an Obese, tall, or LARGE person, you will not likely be comfortable here, as it is position for efficiency and not to accommodate all situations.
As a person of color, I do feel obligated to mention a dynamic that is seldom mentioned, but frequently a variable discussed in a persons experience...
*ahem*
I will remind you that this is Leesburg.
As I, my wife and sister sat ... we did get bombarded with many undecipherable looks that were not aggressive, but definitely condescending.
This establishment does attract locals and the area has a reputation for fostering the financially and pigment-elitist types. Even a few Karen's ..
For me, I am always "aware" but seldom bothered by such trivialities, especially since I always carry and dress myself for the occasion and make sure that I adequately represent my family and station in a self-respecting light.
However, if you are sensitive to the looks of others, you will need to be aware of such things.
This establishment staff had no such behavior, and the LOCALS where the only ones that seem to take issue.
With that said...
The only Energy that would be negative here, would be the energy you bring with you.
It's worth a visit...
It's NOT for large parties...
It's NOT a sports bar environment...
It's IS great for a date, friendly meet up, ... or casual cocktail during g a short visit.
Hope you enjoy...
