"The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar just celebrated its 15th anniversary in Tustin. The wine country-inspired menu includes flatbreads, steaks, short ribs, and best of all, the roasted butternut squash and potato dauphinoise. The California-centric wine menu includes pours of the Boyz, a red wine blend from Paso Robles that was created and bottled by the restaurant’s three co-owners: JC Clowe, William Lewis, and chef Yvon Goetz who are nicknamed “the Boys.”" - Jenn Tanaka

"The Winery has existing location in Newport Beach and Tustin. Its 7,000-square-foot space at UTC includes a spacious dining room, bar and 1,300-square-foot wind-protected and heated patio. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant’s menu of California cuisine, from executive chef Yvon Goetz and executive chef Daniel Garcia, follows an upscale steakhouse format, with a la carte steaks, mix-and-match sides, and deluxe seafood options as well as wild game specials. The UTC outpost has an ocean bar, where fresh seafood will be stacked onto seafood towers, and chef’s tables that look into the glassed-in kitchen, where diners can order tasting menus. Two climate-controlled wine cellars, incorporated into the restaurant’s design, hold over 600 new and old world selections as well as private wine lockers." - Candice Woo

My wife and I had dinner here for the first time. I like the ambient. It's good for private conversation between family. Our waitress was super nice. The entrée was fine, but not as good as I expected. We ordered lamb rack with sautéed mushroom and slow toasted beef shortrib. The waiting time between soup and main courses was a little long. The ribs was really good, juicy, tasty. The lamb was somewhat dry in my opinion. The mushroom was the problem. It was toooooo salty. I drank two and half glasses of water to handle it. Hope it will be better in next time.

Went for a quick drink and appetizer before a movie. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of wine and charcuterie board. My friend had allergies to gluten and the bartender was accommodating and served us an additional side of cucumbers. Great ambiance. Good quality wine and food. Prices were reasonable. Friendly staff. Parking varies on day and time.

I had such a great experience at The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar! The food was excellent as well as the service. The staff consistently checked in on my group to make sure we were always refreshed with drinks and/or anything we needed. Donnie the manager was always making his rounds to double check on everything and made our experience a one to remember. I’ll definitely refer this place to my family/friends and be back to enjoy it myself.

We went for Thanksgiving and enjoyed the meal thoroughly from the appetizer to the main and the dessert. The salad (without the blue cheese) was excellent, while the short rib was a real standout. Definitely on the pricey side, but really the service was great and the overall hospitality was outstanding.

Overall very good food good taste, only bacon very salted to me maybe not Saki for you . But ok I try different food. If you like something talk good about it support all servers and all restaurants have good food keep them around. When they have support they will keep the door open for you to come back. Be grateful and be generous never out of style. God bless you and your family abundantly.

I had lunch here today and I must say it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the carne asada tacos. They were absolutely fantastic - the meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. At $20, I think it makes going out for lunch affordable. The restaurant's decor was also a feast for the eyes. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful blend of rustic and modern elements. The music was like lounge R&B at nice volume. I'd make it a bit more global but it wasn't bad. The staff was attentive and professional. I was told that wine tastings are not available any longer which is disappointing. I am hoping to come back and taste some of the other dishes. Perhaps during happy hour. Thank you for your hospitality.

Google
All around a great dining experience. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We mentioned it was our anniversary, and several staff members came by to congratulate us through the evening. Several great menu options, I went with the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and covered in a delicious herb butter. The white cheddar Mac and cheese is incredible as well. Didn't feel rushed at all, plenty of time between courses. Can't say enough great things about this place.

Google
Fantastic evening. I ordered the rack of lamb with asparagus. Rack of lamb is good but the asparagus with the balsamic drizzle made it the best asparagus I have ever had. Wife had the short rib and she loved it. Great evening!

Yelp
I received a gift card for this beautiful resteraunt. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner on Saturday, June 8th. Our server Sienna was professional, sweet, helpful and just a delight. I cannot emphasize how beautiful the location is and delicious the food and wine is.

Yelp
It was our first time there. We were celebrating my friend's Birthday. The ambiance was amazing. I really appreciated that they paid attention to the notes placed in the reservation and placed us in a booth as requested. Our server was a young man named Austin and he was absolutely amazing. He made thoughtfully recommendations and it felt like he literally anticipated our every need. He was so attentive and personable and really added to the amazing experience we were having. The food was so good. One of the dishes he recommended was the Lobster Risotto and it was absolutely the best we had ever tried. Hats off to the Chef!! All food was very well thought out and pairs with amazing sauces. The pork belly appetizer with the beans we could not get enough of. We could have had a plate of just the beans alone. We were divided on which wine to order and William, one of the owners, assisted us and found a wonderful medium between our varying tastes. Overall from beginning to end it was one of the most positive and enjoyable experiences we have had. We definitely plan on coming back again and would recommend anyone go there.

Yelp
This was a weird experience. My bill was about $600 for 6 people, plus tip. To start off, the hosts were incredibly nice. I made a mother's day reservation and it was a smooth process. Now, onto the actual food and experience. Our steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature. The main problem, was the chicken. My grandfather ordered chicken and part of it was raw! Not slightly pink, actually raw. Not only that, our server did not inform us a bottle of water was $11! My grandma dislikes iced water but for a $11 bottle, she would've taken out the ice lol. We haven't gone to many fine dining restaurants, but the one I did go to was clear about their prices. This restaurant was not. The ambiance was fine, a classical dining place. Honestly, I would not recommend :(.

Yelp
OC Restaurant week offers great plates for trying new dinning choices. The Winery team trained well in fine dinner service. The management greet all tables. The food, scallops & shrimp were juicy, not rubbery. The steak cooked perfect medium. The beans with pork belly were slowed cook to melt in your mouth. Fine dinning at its best. We'll be back.

Yelp
Waiter took forever to take my order. When the fish finally arrived it was smelly and over salted. Sent it back for a steak. Wasn't full at the end. Tried to order more food, but they took so long to take my order the kitchen was closed by this time (9pm) and I left hungry.

Yelp
Very nice and fun place to enjoy with friends. I would definitely go back to try out more.

Yelp
Nice place for lunch or dinner, happy hour, or to sit at the bar. The Tustin location is convenient if you are shopping in the area, seeing a movie, or live nearby. But parking does get crowded especially on holidays. Luckily it's a huge lot and there is valet. The inside is decorated festively as it is winter and holiday music playing creates a cozy ambiance. The staff here is attentive and friendly despite it being a busy restaurant. The bartender provided suggestions drink wise and food wise. They have a great holiday menu list. Several of the cocktails sounded delicious. I enjoyed a holiday martini called the dirty chai latte tini. Lunch menu had several options that looked good but I opted for the corkscrew pasta as was recommended by waiter. I referred to other Yelp reviews that raved about it and decided to give it a try. It's flavorful with decent quality chicken, pasta, veggies and pesto sauce. Plenty to take home for leftovers. I would recommend this for a nice meal with friends and family or to treat yourself while running errands.

Brianne L.

Yelp
I have been here a number of times, once for dinner and a number of times for happy hour. Every time I've come it's been great. They have valet if you wish to do so, or it's a large center (with some difficult parking, but you will eventually find something) For the dinner, we had a number of dishes, all which were great. We did have a minor issue of an undercooked steak, but it was quickly corrected. The sommelier was fantastic and recommended some great wines. I highly recommend this restaurant. I would definitely come back with friends, family or colleagues. The service was great.

Yelp
The Winery has several locations but I go to the Tustin location since it's closer for me. Anyway, I have been here a few times with my recent visit being right before Christmas. I had a party of 6 and our server Marize was just fantastic. I set my expectation that we were going to order a bunch of items to do more of a family style. I know...a bit unorthodox for American restaurants like this one but Marize totally understood. For drinks, I ordered the a raspberry mojito. It was a refreshing twist but I prefer a regular one. Unfortunately, I don't drink wine so I apologize for the lack of feedback. For food, we ordered a bunch: * Bread and Butter - the loaf of bread is pretty good. It was nice and warm and pretty soft. * lollipop pork belly - this one I thought was alright. The pork belly looked like it was deep fried but it was more on the fatty side for me. My clients did enjoy it though. * house salad - this was pretty solid. I knew we would be eating quite a bit of meat so needed some greens to balance my palette. * Shrimp and Scallop - this one I enjoyed. I mean shrimp, scallops, and risotto...what a great combination!!! * Braised Short Rib - this one is solid. The meat is really soft. * 16 oz Ribeye - we had it cooked medium rare and this one was my favorite. * Dry age New York - so this one was on the specialty menu. I do love the flavor on this one but I prefer the rib eye over New York. * Chilean Sea bass - this one was cooked in miso flavor and was considered a new item on their menu. The sea bass is fresh and cooked nicely. I just felt it was too sweet for me. * Brussel sprouts - we did not order many slides but I always love Brussel sprouts. * Crème brûlée and Key lime cheesecake - these two were fantastic. This ended our night nicely! The combination of the solid food, excellent service, and the ambiance of the restaurant have me rate this restaurant as a solid 4. This a perfect place to wine and dine your significant others or in my case, business clients. Tips: You have the option to valet but you can just park near Whole Foods area. It's a parking plaza with a bunch of parking spots. By chance, I found a Costco deal for their gift cards. $200 gift cards for $150 so I was able to leverage this offer.

Yelp
The sommelier was the best part of the whole evening. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. Crystal our waitress was nice and liked to de- decrumbed the table. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. Not sure I would come back.

Yelp
My partner and I went for an early dinner. Our server was Austin and he was so kind and attentive to our needs. Our toddler came as well and he was so accommodating. We started with two drinks. My husband got the La Rosita and I got a mocktail that was whatever special the bartender made. It tasted like pineapple with some mango or orange juice and it was yummy. My partner's favorite was the 8oz filet with potatoes and a garlic cream sauce. My highlight was the tahitian vanilla crème brulee, I was so full but ate that right up. Recommend this spot for a nice and chill experience. Great service and everyone was so kind.

Yelp
Came for Valentine's Day. Made reservations for an early dinner (4:45) because we wanted to avoid the crowds. It was perfect! We checked in and our table was ready for us. Our server was very attentive and took the time to make suggestions and told us the specials. We didn't want to drink too much so each ordered a cocktail: Apple old fashioned and a Berries mojito. Both were good. So here you have to pay for the bread basket and other than the butter being brick-hard, the bread seemed freshly baked and flavorful. For our main entrees, we ordered the duck and the herb crusted chicken. The chicken came with a tomato based sauce that reminded me of a tapenade YUM! Has some potatoes in the sauce as well but the flavor was a little overpowering the potatoes itself. Regarding the duck... well, I like my duck with a crispy skin and cooked well so it's easy to cut. This duck came with a delicious citrusy marinade, roasted beets, gnocchi and roasted broccolini - pea pods and everything was spot on... except the duck that had a rubbery center (couldn't eat some parts) and the skin wasn't really crispy. I don't know it's the fact they slice the duck to serve it but it was not the best duck I've had, I won't order it again. For dessert we had an "huckleberry apple crumble for two" : de-li-cious! The ice cream on top melted and all the flavors worked together as a perfect end of the meal. Loved it. While this dinner was not what I expected of The Winery, I would definitely come back to check out their cigar terrace and have a steak.

Yelp
What can I say? This place is great! It has been our go to restaurant since they opened. It had been a year since our last visit and this time was better than we remembered. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!

Yelp
The Winery is located at the District with plenty of parking! We came during the week and it wasn't overly crowded nor was it empty. Everyone here is friendly, our server was especially attentive, giving suggestions and mentioning his own faves. We ordered the crispy kurobuta pork belly lollipops, the gentlemen, razzleberry mojito, Slow Braised Angus Beef Shortrib, steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I LOVED the shortibs and the gnocchi!! The sauce was full of flavor and savory! The ambiance is warm and inviting with plenty of seating! Felt like a queen eating here!

Yelp
4.5 stars As many times as I've been in this plaza, I never noticed The Winery here up until last week. Initially wanted to stop by for a weekday lunch in Newport but noticed that location is dinner only so we went to the Tustin location right inside The District. Parking surrounding is valet only but there are so many parking spots outside the valet area that is shared with the rest of the plaza. No wait on a Wednesday afternoon as the host brought us to our table right away. Our server, Steve, came by shortly after with specials of the day and the alcoholic beverage menu. Berry Mojito ($14): It was mid-week during lunch but it was 5 o'clock somewhere :) I can't remember the name of the mojito exactly but according to the menu, there were several fruits infused within the drink. Unfortunately, I only tasted the cranberry (juice?) mixed in with the rum. It was okay but maybe sticking to a wine at The Winery makes more sense! Mahi Mahi ($40): This was one of the specials Steve had mentioned that sounded particularly delicious. Jasmine rice with chunks of pistachio, lightly grilled mahi mahi (perfectly cooked) with a plantain chip and fruit compote to top. Surrounding the rice was a white sauce that was creamy with a hint of seafood flavor - paired extremely well with the rice and fish. Our favorite dish of the day. Roast Beef Dip ($23): Slices of roast beef, caramelized onion, gruyere cheese, and watercress on a toasted baguette served with thin cut french fries. Normally comes with crumbled blue cheese as well but I asked for it on the side. At the end of our meal, Steve brought a complimentary chocolate mousse with fresh fruits on top. Excellent service all around. Spacious indoor seating and nice private rooms as well. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Used our gift card for a last minute dinner last Wednesday at The Winery. It was a wonderful experience all around. Great service from Victoria. Everything she recommended was on point, and everything we ordered was excellent. These 3 stood out though: 16 oz Double R Ranch ribeye with their signature herb butter Heirloom tomato, watermelon & burrata salad - so refreshing and really, really goooood Black truffle mashed potatoes - for someone who is not really a mashed potato fan like me, this was such a delight. Potatoes were whipped and the black truffle was very mild. Highly recommend these 3 dishes!!!

Yelp
First time here. I don't frequent these high end restaurants but it was a celebration. Two orders were of the filet mignon and the guys cleaned their plates. I had pork ribs and couldn't finish them. Drinks were great and the service was excellent thanks to our server "David". I know people who frequent this place for happy hour and appetizers. The bar area had plenty of high tops and was fairly busy at dinner time. Oh yeah, my goat cheese and beat salad was excellent! I'll bring the wife next time.

Yelp
If I could give one star would do it .... Made reservation for 2 through OpenTable on sat at 6.15..... front house was a mess and they made us wait 15 mins to even seat us. Once the server lead us she told us tht there was no space for us and proceeded to seat us in an empty patio with us as the only guests! Upon telling her tht I had a reservation for the main room she told us tht they had no space inside and we could seat at the bar if we liked! I told her we had reservations but she was unable to honor the same... requested to meet the manager on duty. We were again made to wait 10 mins when the front lady came and gave us a card as she was busy!! Absolutely horrible service ! Will never go again

Dani S.

Yelp
Really beautiful restaurant, huge inside. The food is pretty standard for a high-end type restaurant. Service was very nice. Came here for happy hour one afternoon after doing some shopping in the area. Got a table by the bar and it wasn't too busy. Their happy hour menu has some variety, but the portion size was extremely tiny. We ordered a couple of things to share. The food was pretty good. The small portion size. Service was very attentive, and very nice. The ambience is very classy and elegant. Parking was very easy in the lot. Bathrooms are very clean.

Neluta G.

Yelp
Great food service and ambiance, they have a great selection of wine, ran out of A French one I like but they had a nice replacement. Pork belly amazing so was the bacon wrapped shrimp. Also the shrimp and scallops dish executed very well. Great job chef!

Ingrid L.

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of The District, this restaurant leans toward meat specialties. Despite that, the prawns and scallops were impeccably cooked. The service was attentive and helpful, but the chef struggled to craft a creative off-menu vegetarian dish.

Kelly E.

Yelp
Went on Mother's Day. Had a reservation at 130 were not seated until 2. We were originally seated outside, the acoustics are horrible, there was a very large party and we could not hear ourselves talk over them. Sat there for at least 10 mins before we were event greeted (this should've been my warning sign to leave- mind you there were plenty of open tables) once greeted we requested to move inside. Took another 10 mins to relocate us. Finally made it inside, much better ambiance. Our server was nice, but slow. Had to ask for items multiple times and didn't check in with us like I had hoped. Since it was Mother's Day we had the prefix menu. Way overpriced for what you get for two courses $79. Kids meals were $30 and again lack luster for what you pay. Our entire time there was close to 2.5 hours and very painful. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Anhvy D.

Yelp
Happy Hour is so good here! The pork belly lollipops, pizza, and meatballs were all flavorful. Also, we ordered two rounds of the Tito's Lemonade...refreshing! The restaurant is beautifully decorated for the Xmas season, and our server was extremely attentive. Will definitely return to eat in the dining room.

Summer C.

Yelp
We came and ordered 3 ribeyes at $60 something each. I would NEVER order steak here again. Not sure if the chef forgot to season but the steaks were BORING (and I was shocked). I love a good ribeye that's seasoned and has a nice crisp sear on it. This had neither. The salad, soup and sides were good but avoid the steak unless you want the most basic steak you'll ever have. We literally had a few bites and took the rest home. Luckily I ordered med rear. So next day i seasoned it up and pan fried it on my cast iron and it was delicious! Service was very good. Ambiance was better than usual because of Christmas time. I usually find the Tustin location to be a bit sterile and overly lit. I was in a booth and felt like I had a spot like on me. They need to turn down those spot lights and season and sear their steaks and it would have been great.

Terry K.

Yelp
Came here for a late valentines dinner. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees and a side. The pork belly lollipops were delicious. Short rib couscous dish was flavorful and tender. Brussels sprouts side. The steak was NOT worth the price, don't order this unless you want a plain flat piece of meat. The our waiter and servers were friendly. The music was super loud for a classy restaurant. The ambiance was not like the Newport location. The food presentation was nice but it didn't impress me for a restaurant like this.

YC W.

Yelp
We reserved a private room to celebrate my birthday as well as my father's 92nd birthday. The person who was coordinating with my husband to put this together was very helpful. We preordered some amazing appetizers; one of the Charcuterie & artisinal cheese boards, a fruit platter, and the Gruyere pizza. We ordered drinks and bottles of wine. Everyone ordered a different meal and seemed more than satisfied with their choices. Our wait staff, Alexis, and busser, Julio, were on top of everything. They definitely made our celebration much more delightful with their attention to details and friendly demeanor. It's been more than a month and our family still raves about how delicious the food was. My husband has already said he'd like to return for our wedding anniversary this year. Thank you to everyone who helped us put our celebration together and made it special.

Joy C.

Yelp
Came here for Restaurant Week, great way to try a restaurant with their pre-fixe menu. It was easy to reserve a table using the app, theres plenty of parking spots in the lot. Ambiance is ok, server was very friendly and food was very good. I really liked the pork belly, it was so tender and juicy. The scallops and shrimp were very good as well. I was looking forward to the creme brulee but there was something amiss with it. The vanilla bean tasted like the liquid extract, versus a real vanilla bean. Also they had a chocolate brownie/cake on it, which had a hard texture.

Erin H.

Yelp
We booked a reservation for valentines dinner and on the website they had marketed it as a special night with chef specials. I called ahead to confirm that vegetarian options were available before booking and the hostess told me yes absolutely they had vegetarian options. I even asked again, are you sure? Because I really don't want to be stuck with nothing to eat. She assured me, so I made the reservation. Valentine's Day comes, we're sat near the kitchen it's loud and kinda weird but okay. Then the menu comes. It is the REGULAR menu, no special recipes, nothing valentines themed at all. Literally just the regular menu but a la carte and it was NOT cheaper, prices were still expensive. I look and there is no vegetarian options. NONE. There are some small salads, some sides, but no vegetarian entrees. Our waitress comes over and I ask her about the menu, why is it not special when online it states it is? She cuts me off and says "well I haven't told you the specials gets so how would you know?" Ok very rude but go off I guess. My husband then interrupts and mentions the lack of vegetarian options. The waitress says, yeah we don't have any. I mentioned calling ahead and she does not apologize, she just says "yeah the hostess has no idea, we have nothing". At this point I'm ready to leave. There is nothing for me to eat, the waitress is rude, our table sucks, I was done. My husband asks if anything can be made for me and she eventually says they could do a risotto with a side of asparagus. I want to leave but my husband really wants to stay so I settle for my little makeshift entree ($17 for this tiny side of risotto and $17 for grilled asparagus). Overall this was probably one of the most disappointing dinners I've ever had and I definitely will not be returning. The food was overpriced and the lack of communication caused a huge mishap, not to mention the rude server. Not vegetarian friendly.

Ryan P.

Yelp
5 star service and outstanding food. Got the daily short rib lunch special and it was amazing. My drink was refilled about 4 times in a hour lunch. The soup of the day was celery bisque and it was so delicious.

Nancy C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after painting at Pinot palette's. We came without a reservation and we're seated very quickly. The service was phenomenal! Our waitress was so incredibly nice and attentive. I ordered the mahi mahi and my mom ordered the salmon. Both of which were delicious! The mahi mahi was so flaky and tender. Absolutely delicious! It went so well with the fruit chutney that it's served with. Would definitely come back just for this dish.

Michael L.

Yelp
Honestly great service but the food was just poor, the food lacked a great deal of seasoning and the menu is pretty mid. The Mother's Day brunch is not a just purchase for the quality of food provided. Great place to have a drink but nothing else.

Fran L.

Yelp
The best service and probably one of the best steak house in Irvine/ Tustin is in the District Mall near the Whole Food. Loads of fantastic selection of seafood, shrimp, Ribeye and NY Steak to choose from. They don't have a live entertainment but fast and responsive service with excellent sommelier service. I recommend that you take your own wine. Their corkage fee is reasonable $25. Their wine lists are higher price than the average steak house. The Ribeye was fantastic and NY Steak was seared to perfection. My friend had seafood Cioppino but had little food reaction to mussels. Their side dishes are generous with portions but not outstanding. I love the ambiance and extremely good service and quality of their food for the price. I recommend them highly.

Esther L.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday a while back, and everything we ordered was so yummy, like finger licking delicious. My husband made a reservation for us to come at 5:45pm on a Friday, and we were seated right away. We ordered half a dozen oysters, duck wings, belly lollipops, truffle fries, duck breast, and lobster tail. Everything was prepared so well. Our lobster tail and duck breast were cooked to perfection. The duck wings stood out to be in particular. It was savory, and the meat fell off the bones. They also gave a free dessert at the end of our meal as well. Shoutout to our server, Kelly, for giving good recommendations and was super friendly.

Moises G.

Yelp
I'm extremely sad and disappointed at The Winery Tustin. On 2/15 I went to this location for dinner with my wife and another couple, our best friends, and after having spoken so much about it the experience we have was nothing less than an absolute disappointment. I had made a reservation for dinner days ago and called ahead of time to confirm the reservation and inquired on the menu, and I'm sad to say that after no one having said any about them not having their regular menu tonight, even after I had mentioned my wife was looking forward to their claims linguine, to our surprise and disappointment out waitress said they were only offering a limited menu which didn't include any of the dishes we had inquired about over the phone. This experience was not pleasant at all and matter of fact it ruined our night and made our wives completely disappointed at us. From the food to the service, or lack there of, our so waited for night was a total disaster and sad disappointment. And despite asking, a manager never came to our table to speak to us. Expected more, did not feel appreciated at all!

Cheryl C.

Yelp
I'm in love with this place. Fine dining with great ambience, food, service, and a cigar lounge. We had the chance to meet the owner, Will who was very personable and has great taste in music. They do events, so we will definitely be looking to host an event here. Also great for networking. Oh and I did say how good the food and service was. A plus!

Sandi M.

Yelp
Presentation and atmosphere was nice. Happy Hour beverages were good but then dinner happened. Food...not good. No one at our table of eight thought their meals were good. Two ordered the special "28 day aged bone-in New York" one was over cooked and sent back, returned ONLY after we spoke to a manager because we were all but done with our meals. The other tasted as though it was a day away from being rancid. The clincher...$95 a plate à la cart . We were compt one meal. Still, will not go back would not recommend Sorry Sandi

Yelp
This is the $60 ribeye I ordered on Wednesday night, I ordered it medium rare. I'm not sure how anyone who worked there thought this was acceptable.

Yelp
I picked this spot for a birthday dinner with my family and it was...decent. Right away, it was frustrating to hear upon arrival that they didn't allow a stroller at our table for our 5-month-old infant because it was a "fire hazard". It wasn't obstructing the walkway and we've been to other (smaller) restaurants that were able to accommodate this without issue. The manager ultimately allowed it though begrudgingly so, so I suspect it was an attempt to keep infants out of the dining room and minimize disruptions...not a great start to an otherwise joyous occasion. Luckily, our server, Austin, quickly offset the initial vibe took excellent care of us throughout our meal. Regarding the food, the appetizers were actually the stars. We thoroughly enjoyed the super thin and flavorful YG's Alsatian "pizza", robust duck wings, and plump crispy calamari. While I appreciated the absolutely massive portions across all the main dishes, the actual execution was variable. The Maine scallops and jumbo wild shrimp's freshness was average, the rack of lamb bland, and my rabbit 3 ways a bit of a mess - the meat appeared raw inside, prompting me to send it back to the kitchen. Oddly enough, Austin told me they were redoing the dish yet left out whether the meat was actually safely cooked or not... Ultimately, I received rabbit that was dry and over cooked 3 ways. At least my parents' Kurobuta pork ribs were meaty and tender. Overall, I still had a great with my family despite the iffy hospitality and a mixed bag of food quality. I'll be looking elsewhere next time.

Yelp
Just got out of Easter brunch here. The food was well prepared and the service was very upscale, as I would expect from a place of this caliber. We ordered two Americanos (essentially espresso diluted in water, but makes a really strong coffee). What they delivered tased like a weak cup of coffee- not what I would expect from a place of this caliber. Most Italian restaurants or wine restaurants pride themselves on 'Italian' coffee (or the like) which is often very bold. I asked for a regular cup of coffee and it tasted stronger than the espresso. Told the waitress and she said maybe their espresso machine needed servicing (I doubt it; maybe). Between the 2 americanos at almost $6 each, and the cup of coffee at almost $5 each totaling around $17 alone-- would recommend you just get water or juice and then hit a Starbucks or something after. Over all, not an exceptional experience but was good- will eat here again but will try an Easter brunch someplace else next year.

Yelp
Unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse here. Service was extremely slow and after we placed our food order, it took 50 minutes to get a burger and salad. Wine was refilled. The burger ordered medium rare came out well done, and for $30 that's unacceptable: my salad was good, the wine here is always good. The bread and butter was good. Took another 25 minutes to get our check after asking for it -

Yelp
This place is like a hidden gem. Placed in the middle of a busy shopping area, stepping inside was a nice calming surprise, like all the busy-ness of outside went away and we were ushered into a very nice calming private club. The environment was so chill and the playlist was AMAZING! It was almost a copy of my chill playlist on Spotify. I honestly felt represented. Now to the real star...the food! It was delicious. I had the New York steak (bone in) with lobster mac n cheese. We also ordered bread (I wasn't happy that it didn't come with the food automatically) BUT after we tasted the bread, I understood why they aren't just giving out and wasting that goodness. The bread was nice and fresh, that was some good bread lol. The business owners and staff were very nice and friendly. The only downside is that the seating is a bit close and the guy sitting next to us was loud and we had no choice but to hear his entire random conversation. He was like the third wheel on our date. But we were able to look past him and still enjoy our evening. All I needed was a blanket and remote. I was very relaxed. I would definitely recommend and plan to visit again.

Yelp
If you are looking to try out a business place to meet. Come for their happy hour between 3 to 6 pm. I think it is a good place for someone with a business budget. Food was good and good selection of wine. The waitress, Crystal provided a great service when I tried it for the first time.

Yelp
Writing this review just for Kelly our waitress. Came for the Valentines special with my bf and had a splendid night. We came a little bit early but they were able to seat us right away so that was really nice. The food was amazing, we got the 3 course meal: - Veal Osso Bucco Ravioli - Main Lobster and Saffron Bisque - Seafood Playter for Two (extra cost, but why not, it's Valentine's Day :)) - Cocoa-Espresso Grilled Venison Striploin - Citrus Cured Duck Breast - Pastry Chef Selection of desserts We got our appetizers early on and we were enjoying our meal, Kelly always checked up on us and was super friendly/social-able. When it was time for our entrees, due to all the order from it being a Valentines Day, it seemed the orders were all backed up. I didn't time how long it took but it definitely was a long wait. However, Kelly was honest with us and continued to update us on the situation that we didn't even have to ask about why the food was taking a while. It was really nice to have a waitress always checking in and updating us and we felt we were well taken care of, so thank you Kelly you're the best! Her recommendations on the drinks and food was superb!

Yelp
I travel to this area in the OC for business a lot. The restaurant choices are slim at best. My first experience at The Winery about 2 years ago was spectacular. Great service and excellent food. I guess inflation and labor shortages have taken their toll. We went there Thursday night, it was fairly busy but not slammed. The service, while friendly, was slow and very inattentive. The food quality has also been cut - and my meal was overcooked = inexperience in the kitchen. The party of 6 next to us sent 4 of their dishes back to the kitchen. So for the price point this place is absolutely no longer worth it. You might as well deal with the less expensive but predictable food options that are around. There is zero experience or value here anymore.

Yelp
We came here for restaurant week and it was $60 for 4 courses (mainly 3, but they added a chef's amuse bouche before the appetizer). For myself, I ordered: crispy pork belly (4/5), beef short rib (4.5/5), and the creme brûlée (3.5/5). Austin, our server, was great. He had a lot of tables and did his best to check in on our table as often as he could. Without the restaurant week prices, the normal restaurant dish prices are a bit on the pricey side. The value is definitely great during OC restaurant week if you've been in wanting to give this place a try. My table also ordered the steak and shrimp and scallop risotto. Both are also great options from the restaurant week menu. Great flavor and seasoned well.

Yelp
Great food and wine selection. I had the scallops and loved them. My wife loved her food also, so we will be back.

Yelp
I don't recommend this restaurant at all. We were there last night for my wife's birthday and I didn't want a controversy to arise, swell filet mignon. 5 minutes on each side (150°-160°F/ 66°-71°C But they brought a very rare steak and when I wanted to change it, they took the same steak from my plate and burned one side completely, which was not even edible. We threw $240 of our money into the occupation bucket and returned home hungry but clean and nice area

Yelp
The management that is running this place is top notch. We came in on a Friday night with a group of 4. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out was amazing. The host was so sweet. The server Damien "so attentive, so knowledgeable, so prompt, & honestly just amazing" I would request him again! We had the pork belly, beet salad, and calamari to start. The bone in pork chop, the special dry aged ny , scallops and shrimp, along with lobster mac, Hands down one of the best meals we've all had in a long time.
