I hosted my baby shower here, booking out the back half of the bar for about 50 guests. Mark was really helpful with answering my questions about ordering food. Joe worked during our event and was friendly and helped make all our guests feel welcomed and taken care of. Would 10/10 host an event here again. Thank you!!!

The Winslow is one of my favorite spots in New York, period! Incredible cocktails, unreal selection of gin, delicious food, and top notch events - from Gin Club to bottomless brunch to NYE to your own private events. Mark, Emma, and the rest of the team are the best of the best!

My friend and I seen that they were open and they seen we were about to come in and the bartender came from out the bar and closed and locked the door in my face!! Mind you I have never been here nor did I drink anything yet!!! And there were a bunch of ppl she was still serving at the bar

I love this bar. The bartenders are all amazing. They're the biggest draw- they're fun to be around, and I've never had a drink they poured that wasn't delicious. Ambiance is also great, it's never too crowded, and the happy hour gin and tonics are varied and always an excellent deal.

This is long overdue! I organized my office holiday party here and if I could give more stars I would. We had around 40 people and had the whole middle room to ourselves. It was perfect and roomy. Not expensive at all and your money goes a long way here. The service was unbelievable from accommodating all the requests, like our champagne toast, and just being on their A game the day of the event. The space is so warm and lovely. The decorations they do for the holiday season are stunning. We didn’t have to add a thing! The food was so so good! We all were very impressed because it was all the type of casual food you’d want at a party but restaurant quality. Not your typical bar food at all. Everyone left so happy and full and was talking about it for weeks! I’m not a review person but it really was an amazing experience. Thank you thank you

My friend and I hosted our birthday party at the Winslow this past weekend, and it was absolutely phenomenal. All of the communication leading up to the event was efficient and easy. The party itself couldn’t have been better. We rented out the hightop area, and it was ready for us when we got there. The food that we ordered ahead of time came out quick, and it was delicious. Our server, Taylor, was fantastic handling so many orders and even keeping us posted regarding how far away we were from hitting our minimum. The entire staff was wonderful, the atmosphere was cool, and we will definitely be back! Thank you for making our 25th memorable!

Extremely disappointing experience — I won’t be returning. I visited Winslow today and was shocked by the lack of professionalism. The staff seemed completely uninterested and had an odd, almost dismissive attitude. The red-haired waitress walked away from the table while I was still in the middle of ordering — more than once. I ordered a vodka soda, but the lime juice was so overpowering it completely ruined the drink. When I explained I didn’t like it, instead of offering a solution or showing any concern, she simply brought me a lime wedge to taste, which honestly felt passive-aggressive and unhelpful. The food was just as bad. The wings were dry and tasteless, and overall, everything we ordered was disappointing. As someone who owns a bar myself, I can confidently say: if this kind of service and quality continues, they’re going to lose a lot of customers. Hospitality is about care, attention, and making people feel welcome — none of which we experienced here.

Held a ~50 person surprise engagement party here for my fiancee and everything was splendid. The catered food was excellent, people enjoyed the cocktails (especially the Jessica Rabbit), and the service was quick and hospitable. The administrative staff was timely in their communications during the planning stages of the party and wonderful to work with. I would strongly recommend The Winslow to anyone looking to host any gathering, and look forward to revisiting in the near future.

Had a party here the first weekend of the new year and the staff could NOT have been better!! Our private bar tender (Joe) was INCREDIBLE and so so kind. Not to mention the life of the party (and remembered guests' names) - he was the best! HIGHLY recommend hosting an event here whenever you need to find a space - they're so accommodating!! THANK YOU x 1000!!!!

We had our company holiday happy hour at this venue. The service is excellent, as are the drinks. Large space (which can be hard to find in NYC), and good bar food. Definitely recommend for a work happy hour if you're in the Union Square area.

I hosted a get-together (~20 people) at the Winslow and had the best experience! Catarina responded to my request very quickly and was really nice and helpful. They blocked off a great portion of their space for my group so we had plenty of seating, and the minimum spend was super reasonable. We had Kareem taking care of us for the whole time and he was warm, friendly, and really on top of it. Everyone had a fantastic time. The drinks are also awesome - as gin fan, definitely one of the best selections in all of NYC. Probably the best when you combine it with the great vibes. Highly recommend coming in for a drink or booking your event here. Love this place!

I highly recommend this bar especially for private parties. We utilized the private back room space, it was enclosed and perfect for our needs! Our server, Taylor ensured we had everything we needed in terms of drinks. We also ordered some platters, the pigs in the blanket were absolutely delicious. I most note, as well the cocktails were extremely tasty especially Practice what you preach!:) Everyone especially, Catarina the manager ensured we had everything we needed. The bus boys also made sure everything was cleaned up in a timely matter. We were so pleased with the entire experience. Highly recommend this place!

I came here again for a Sunday Buffalo Bills game and had such a fun time! Fantastic game day bucket special, delicious bites, pretty decor, great crowd, kind staff, sound on the TVs- I'll be back!

The Winslow staff was extremely easy to work with and super helpful on the day-of. The space we booked ("The Nook") was a perfect size for our party (less than15ppl) and the staff even kept our cake over night so we didn't have to run back to our apartment late in the evening. Highly recommend The Winslow for hosting an event!

Lovely spot for a happy hour after work! They focus on gin here, so of course I had to make gin and tonic my drink of choice for the night (only $8 for happy hour!). The specialty drinks are also nothing to turn your nose up at. My one friend had the soju cocktail and said it was pretty good (imaged as the most right glass), thought it is pricier since it's not part of the happy hour. We also had a burger, fried chicken sandwich and shepards pie. Classic pub food- can't complain! Our waitress was very accommodating and the music playlist was genuinely top tier! Definitely another convenient and well priced happy hour spot for me to add to my ever growing list.

If you're looking to plan a birthday party or event, The Winslow is a great spot to celebrate. I came for a friend's birthday, and while I did not drink or anything, I had a great time. It wasn't overwhelmingly crowded at about 10 PM, but I imagine it gets pretty hectic a bit later. While I didn't have any drinks or food here, I just want to give a shout-out to the staff for being SO attentive. Seriously, that was some of the best service I've gotten in NYC. They checked on us so often, and it was either the owner or just a very experienced server, but his attentiveness was impressive. One of our group had a minor medical moment, and after notifying the server, I was honestly impressed by how attentive he was. I'll be back some time to give their drinks a shot, appreciate the neat bar decor, and tip my server well--thanks guys!

Good for happy hour! The drinks and food are delicious! I had this lavender gin cocktail which I can't recall the name of but it was tasty. If you're like me and don't care for egg whites on your drinks, I promise it's mild. Definitely try the Korean style duck wings and the cheese curds. Both are packed with flavor and come in a good portion size. I will say the happy hour drink menu isn't great as it's very limited. I don't believe they have happy hour food specials which would also be nice. I wanted to give them five stars but the bartenders and servers were not attentive at all. We had to get up from the table several times to get their attention.

I hosted a birthday party here in the banquette and middle pillar area. It was roped off from the rest of the bar and we had our own waiter. Everyone could do separate checks and we easily met the bar minimum. Some people ordered food as well. This was really the perfect space to reserve for this type of gathering.

Our food was perfect, we kept it simple (for us) - chicken curry pie for me and fish n chips for her. And we had the scotch egg (reminded me of my mum's! Service - top notch, they keep the water coming and my beer was still bubbly when they served it (hadn't been sitting on the bar for an hour). We like the feel of this place too - it feels comfortable and vibrant, you can get lost here or you can have a blast with friends. And it's a convenient walk from nearby hotels - we were at the Marriott across from the iconic Flatiron building!

Happy hour was a great price and the bartender was very friendly. Drinks were strong and the location is great across from UCB and between two train stops. Beer taps seemed a litttttle old, but bottled beer was great, so no complaints!

Such a solid gastropub in East Village area. This place specializes in gin and has an entire menu of gin cocktails to choose from! Their other drink selection is not as strong, but they have the basics and some beers on tap. They have a gin flight if you want to try some different options. The portions of the food here were massive. We had five people and were able to essentially share four dishes. I wouldn't expect to come here for a life changing meal, but it's a place that gets the job done if you're looking for something like this. There's plenty of seating and a standing section in the back. The service here is also pretty attentive, but essentially a no frills situation.

"Your above average gastropub" Being in the neighborhood I have gone here several times over the years. It's a good place to grab a beer, some food, watch a game or enjoy a casual night with friends. Gin is the main attraction here. They have a whole menu of Gin drinks and daily specials. Their gin drinks overachieve! What's to cheer - prices are reasonable - Ambience: festive but not too loud - food: good bar bites - Service -- very good and fast What's to jeer - Crowd is quite boring, hoi polloi - Happy hour is a little more expensive than the rest of the neighborhood

Celebrated my 32nd birthday here and had an amazing experience thanks to the Winslow team! Catarina responded quickly to my inquiry and provided all of the relevant information needed about the venue and the different types of spaces we could book. We ended up picking the private back room, which was the perfect size for our 25~ guests and the food options were fantastic (everything disappeared the moment food was served). If you're looking to host an birthday in the East Village with excellent drinks, appetizers, and a large space, I would highly recommend picking this bar for the drinks options (it's a gin bar, so expect a wide variety of options to try out) and great service. We'll absolutely be back soon!

I came here for happy hour on a Friday. Our server was very friendly. They offer an $8 happy hour gin & tonic special. The flavor of the day was grapefruit. The cocktail had a dried grapefruit garnish but otherwise, the flavor didn't really come through. To eat, we had the veggie chili nachos. They were loaded with bean chili, cheese sauce, sour cream, and pickled jalapeños. The tortilla chips were thick, house style and held up well even with all the toppings. It was hearty and a good portion size. We added guacamole for $2 extra. We also had the mac and cheese with jalapeños. They used shell pasta. The jalapeños were fresh and crunchy but they weren't spicy at all. The dish was topped with buttery bread crumbs that added nice texture.

Our junior board for Catholic Charities has made this our home for our mixers and quarterly events. And they always hit, even amidst large crowds and new friends. Normally, heading this downtown harkens back to cheap street eats and the diviest of bars. But The Winslow is pretty good choice right in the middle of sports bar and corporate happy hour. Book their private, glass-encased room for some intimate conversation.

My partner and I were in the neighborhood and saw this spot had some pretty interesting cocktails (as well as great reviews on Yelp), so we decided to check it out, and we were so happy we did! We ended up actually getting two rounds, with our favorite cocktails being the Jessica Rabbit and A Walk in the Dark. The real star was the cheese curds though (we were hungry and wanted a snack) - they were some of the best we've had at any bar! Service was friendly as well - and we will def be returning some time in the near future (potentially for one of their HHs).

I hosted my 30th birthday party here. I am very glad I found this place! Such a hidden gem. It was the perfect balance of wild fun / private intimate gathering. There was another 30th birthday being held at the same time in the main bar area, and I had the famous "back room" reserved for my guests only. They were allowed to arrive and leave anytime during the alloted time slot reserved. Catarina was super responsive and helpful in organizing the event leading up to it, and our host and server Joe was very attentive and hospitable. He was super friendly and made everything stress free. The DJ was AMAZING!!!! He played all the best songs for the crowds of two 30-year-old 90s babies, haha. There is a TV in the back room so I brought my laptop and bought an HDMI converter to hook up to the screen to display a slideshow of old photos/memories, which was a huge hit with my guests. The drinks are obviously all gin focused, but they had several different options and all were great! They let me bring my own cake for a fee. No fee to reserve the room, just a food/drink minimum that was easily reached by the end of the night. The remainder of my party wanted to hang around after our time slot to chill and catch up more, and we were able to extend the reservation an hour later than intended no problem. :) The only negative thing I can think of is that the lighting was REALLY dim so the room had a really dark vibe. We asked if the lights could be turn up more, but they had reached their brightest capacity. All our photos taken came out very dark/blurry... :/ You also unfortunately (but understandably!!) can't tape anything to the walls because of wallpaper, so we had to be creative with decorations on the 2 glass windows. Nevertheless, a lot of wonderful memories were made with my closests friends that I will cherish always. I will definitively consider booking a party here in the future, and you should to!!!! One of the best deals in the city, and such a friendly caring team.

We went to this bar after dinner. The bouncers were incredible. They were so fun to talk to and banter with. When we got in there was a decent crowd but it didn't feel too crowded. Their music was amazing. They made my espresso martini the way I loved it. The drinks were affordable so much that I was so shook by my bill. I would 100% come back to this place.

I've been coming here lately and the atmosphere is always good, the foods not bad not a huge menu but I like that, has the usual staples and they do a pretty good fish and chips with skate,

This was my second time stopping by the Winslow, this time I made it for happy hour which I was very excited about! I got the blood orange gin and tonic (their happy hour tonic rotates daily) while my partner got a beer on draft. BUT the real star of the show is the cheese curds... they were just as good as I remember. Not on the happy hour menu, but a generous portion for sharing and absolutely delightful. Probably the best cheese curds I've had. Just sayin.

My fiance and I had our engagement party at The Winslow, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was the perfect location in their back room, where we had enough space and privacy but still had the atmosphere of a fun bar. Our host/waiter was extremely attentive and had such a fun personality to add to our party. We pre-ordered some food for our party which everyone loved. All in all, this was the perfect spot for our engagement party and it was everything we could have asked for. We will definitely come back for another event or just a night out for drinks. Would 100% recommend!!

I love The Winslow! The vibe is always great and the bartenders are super friendly. Happy hour lasts until 8pm so you don't have to rush out of work to get a fairly priced drink in the city! Happy hour deals consist of $7 wines, $6 beers, and $8 gin and tonics. Perhaps the most fun thing is that the gin and tonic happy hour rotates daily so there's always a fun new one to try. There are also quite a few screens inside if you're looking for somewhere to go and catch your favorite game!

This is SO delayed but I held my birthday party in their private room and it was fantastic. No room rental fee just a reasonable minimal spend with everyone having their own tabs. The service was incredible and everyone loved being able to have our own space on a crowded night (mid-December). Highly recommend!

I had my 30th Birthday party here. I had half of the room and had about 40 guests. Michelle was the waitress helping us and was so nice and professional. So was Cat, she was in charge. The food was delicious! Will definitely go back!

Came here with 4 friends, one of my friends had a first date and she met us here too with her friends. Fun bar, amazing Service, super good nachos, good drinks. What's not to like?

I had my goodbye party at The Winslow and had an amazing time! Catarina reached out in the days prior to plan out food platters/drink minimums, and everything was ready and so well organized by the time we arrived. We got the BEST service from Maya, who was juggling more than one big party and was a superstar! The thing I love about The Winslow (besides their amazing gin drinks) is that with the way their space is laid out, they have several sections that can be booked together for one huge party or separately for smaller ones. It's a pretty clear delineation, and their minimum was really reasonable to me. No need to spend thousands on a more low-key event/get-together. (Call ahead for events, though, as they get booked up!) The food platters were fantastic, as well. Would 100% book an event here again.

I hosted a business event here, and it was a great experience. The team was so responsive during the planning process, and our server was fantastic during the event. It's so hard to find good event venues in NYC, and I would highly recommend the Winslow as a place to host your next event!

Hosted our high school reunion here and it was perfect! We had an area reserved just for our group and had a private waiter-- Joe who was amazing! Everyone ordered separately and Joe kept up with everyone's tabs perfectly! We had a table as well as standing room for mingling and all in all the perfect location to host our event!

I hosted a large group of ~20 people here on a week night for happy hour. The high tops area is great for private parties. The service was very friendly and attentive and the drinks were delicious. Don't sleep on the cheese curds!

I came for a party and for that this venue is perfect. Spacious interior with a cozy pub vibe, friendly and attentive service, plenty of TVs to watch the game on, and bonus points for being a gin bar. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling my cocktail or much of the food. Fries and chicken tenders are solid enoug. The pulled pork was gross, not edible. The strongest item is the Mac n cheese, if you pay extra you can add bacon and jalapeno. The shells were properly al dente, the bacon crispy, and they top it off with breadcrumbs for texture. Unfortunately the side salad it was served with came with warm lettuce, really unpleasant. Overall an average bar that's great for events.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a combined celebration at the Winslow. Great service! Highly recommend.

Just wow! I came across The Winslow looking to host an event for our committee volunteers and this space was perfect for our group of 20. The owner/Manager Catarina was very responsive to all of my emails and phone calls. When she was out of the office, there was always another staff member ready to answer any of my questions. The process was fast and easy to book the space. They were prepared with menu and drink packages for our event within a very generous, flexible budget. Prior to the event, they allowed one of our staff members to swing by to check it out to make sure it met all of our needs. On the day of the event, they kindly allowed us to arrive an hour early to set up at no additional charge. The event was supposed to end at 8:00PM and they staff were so patient with us allowing us to trickle out until 30mins after our reservation time. We had the pleasure of working with Maya and Tanya on the day of the event. Tanya was very attentive and she constantly came in and out of space to take our next round of drinks order in addition to ensuring we had everything we needed (plates, napkins, drinks, etc.) What I loved most about Tanya is that she also kept us on track to meet the minimum spending amount encouraging our guests to utilize the drink tickets instead of individually paying out of pocket. Very thoughtful, Tanya! I look forward to working with them again in the near future.

We hosted a private event here and could not be happier! We had a section sanctioned off and a staff member dedicated to us that did our tabs and drink orders. Myles was very accommodating and made sure our drinks were filled! We also pre ordered apps which were perfect finger food. Everything was great and the vibes were exactly what we had envisioned! We had so much fun dancing, Thank you again for making our wedding after party so much fun and so special! I would highly recommend booking a private event here.

I came here for a double date and thoroughly enjoyed the food here! The bar was very cute/not busy right at noon on a Saturday so it felt pretty private. We got Cheese Curds for the table and Duck Wings. For my main, I got Ham Eggs Benedict. The cheese curds were very yummy and the duck wing was definitely different. My boyfriend thought they were a little salty, but flavor was good. Overall, food was pretty quality!

In April, I celebrated my 35th birthday at The Winslow. My wife booked a space for 30 people in the center section of the bar. The Winslow team was really great to work with. They were fast to respond, were organized around details like how to order catering and answered all our questions. Big thanks to Catarina for all her help!! The party itself was great. Friends gave us great feedback about the food and the drinks they ordered. There were two other events happening and the Winslow team had dedicated servers for each group, which made sure we weren't waiting long for anything. Great atmosphere, reasonably priced, great for a party!

Booked a section of the Winslow for my birthday party and it was so easy to plan and very reasonably priced. High table section had tons of space and easily fit my party of 30. Service was so good.

I hosted a holiday party at The Winslow for my friends. We had a semi-private space in the middle room which was perfect. Organizing the party beforehand was a breeze and service night-of was fabulous. Would 100% host another event here!

Such a great place to host a private event! Best minimum spend in the area, I scouted a bunch of spots that all wanted me to spend thousands for less than 20 people. Food and drinks were delicious. We went with the banquette seating section so our group of 16 was able to sit and enjoy brunch. They had several setup options to select for our needs. We reserved a private area, but with a 12pm reservation we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, which was nice. Our server Joe really hustled and provided amazing service, was even able to keep track of separate checks which was also unheard of for any of the other private spaces around. Will definitely be coming back for a meal, drink, or private event!

I used the middle area for my Halloween party and it was perfect! We had an assigned server who was so attentive and remembered all our names and drink orders. The vibe is great here and it's decorated so well for Halloween! Reserving the space and all the logistics around it were literally so easy. They also have great drinks! Couldn't recommend this more for an event!

Service was good and food was edible, but the 1 star is for the fact that they charge 3.5% if you use a credit card.

Great happy hour spot near union square. $8 gin and tonic and 6$ draft beer specials during hh which goes till 8pm on Thursdays! I like that they put dried orange and petals in the gin and tonic, makes it feel classy. Friendly staff!

This is the 3rd time I had a meet up of about 15-20 at the Winslow. In the past, we were seated at the banquettes, but this time we lucked out to get the private room in the back. Joe, our server was super friendly & attentive. My burger hit the spot, & the drinks were great, from mocktails to wine to gin drinks.

I had a 30th birthday event in the back room and it was amazing. They allowed us to bring in decorations including balloons and a fringe curtain over the door. The server did an incredible job taking care of us 25+ people (remembering names, taking care of tabs, bringing drinks). She even had candles and brought a cupcake of ours with the candle. Overall they were professional, efficient, and gracious. Would definitely recommend a private event there!

Choosing The Winslow for my party was the perfect choice! We had wonderful service, the atmosphere was incredible, and were very nice to let us decorate. highly recommend for any party you may be planning.
