Hands down some of the best cookies super fresh. And don't get me started on the pulled pork Irish sandwich. I eat thier bagels religiously. Just so much TLC goes in every thing that comes out of that kitchen..... the best must try

A hidden local gem! Very nice staff. I came for lunch and really enjoyed the Thai peanut chicken wrap. There are many sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, and sweet breads to choose from. Ask for the "lunch box" deal. Samples of their made-to-order baskets are all around. They do cookie cakes, cupcakes (lemon, red velvet, wedding, chocolate, chocolate mint, strawberry), bars (lemon, brownie, fruit, chewy coconut pecan), and breads (banana nut, blueberry, lemon, cinnamon pecan, strawberry). There are only 3 bar stools for seating and no bathroom, so don't bring a crowd to eat in and order out instead.

Great customer service. And wonderful sandwiches. Can't wait to try my cookie...

Was supposed to pick up the last king cake they had....was on my way to get it after getting another flavor from another place....got to Wooden Spoon and someone sold my cake. I was on my lunch break and didnt have time to go back to the other place and get one i would have gotten there if i hadnt committed to pick the one up at Wooden Spoon ....Duane asked what he could do to fix it. I jokingly said he could go get a cake at the other place and bring it to my work....he was like...ok....and that's exactly what he did...wow...dont get that kind of customer service everywhere. This was my first dealing with Wooden Spoon but wont be my last. Very impressed.

I had one of the best sandwiches of my life from here! The B52 has incredible flavors and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes flavorful food! It’s a small place so I recommend planning for takeout, however they have everything you need for a great picnic, even baked goods and local honey!

Superb customer service and AMAZING sandwiches. I got the Cuban and my husband got the pressed Italian - both phenomenal!

This is the best place. They stop serving sandwiches around 2:30 so make sure you order or go before then. They have the best Cubans, home made pickles and I have yet to get a cookie from them that isn’t anything other than amazing. I can’t say enough good things about them.

The team at the Wooden Spoon are the best! Their snickerdoodle cookies are the closest I can get to my Nana's recipe. They also offer awesome baskets for my clients.

In town for a week for business and got tired of fast food chain food. Found this little "sandwich shop" a little off the beaten path and I'm glad I did. I was met by the new owner (just purchased it a week ago) and he explained that he only had a temp lunch menu. I asked if the club sandwich was on the temp menu and he indicated it wasn't but he had all the ingredients for it and would happily make it for me. While he was preparing we had a chat about the place and he said he wanted to experiment with the layout of the sandwich. It turned out great. Plenty of meat, right amount of cheese and toppings. The ONLY thing I'd change is the bread appears to be toasted on a buttered grill. I'm a little old school and would have preferred standard toasted bread, but that alone would not stop me from going again. Best of luck to the new owner and if you're in town, the extra 3 minute drive away from the main part of town is well worth it!

I love this place. Truly is a hidden gem. I got the Cuban sandwich and potato salad both times I have ordered from there. The potato has some dill and bacon in it, simply delicious. The Cuban is on the freshest bread and it tastes like the condiments and pork are truly homemade and the effort shows. My only criticism would be that if you are ordering online it seems like the menu varies even though they have the food available if you call. Second, I dislike that they are closed on weekends. It's the most opportune time to get food from there. So it's delicious when you can get it.

I have eaten at the Wooden Spoon for 6yrs and over the last year or so the food has went downhill. A couple of months ago I ordered a Chicken Salad Sandwich, it tasted terrible and had bones in it. This last Wednesday I went over and got 2 cookies, the Pecan Sandie had a soured taste and the new Lemon Krinkle was so oily and it just seemed old. This place has always been so delicious and such a neat little place but it's declining quickly!

I got the turkey and Swiss boxed lunch and It was good. Meal came with pasta salad (can sub it out for chips or potato salad), cookie, and a drink for a total of about $11. Here's a breakdown: Customer Service: 10/10 like they were so patient and helpful because I really didn't know what I wanted at first lol Presentation: 10/10 Taste: 8/10, it was pretty good but I want to go back and try other sandwiches out. I'm pretty sure they have some real good ones. Plus I just wish they used real avocados on the sandwiches.. they use guacamole & it's ok. (I went home and cut up an avocado & added it. that was so good lol) but yea it was a good experience overall & Their cookies are sooo bomb definitely 10/10

Delicious cookies and the best lemon bars in Shreveport-Bossier. I ordered a basket for my parents at 10am and it was delivered by 12pm! My family loves The Wooden Spoon.

Food was great. The place only has three spots if you are planning to eat it there. I had the Monte Cristo, in which they put the grape jelly in the sandwich. I would have liked it deep fried but overall a great experience.

This is what's left of the dozen cookies after my office staff quickly swiped them! Out of all the treats I bring to the office, these go the fastest! Super friendly, fast service at this place makes Wooden Spoon top of my list when it comes to getting goodies for anyone or a quick bite to eat for lunch! They have healthy deli options or savory options that hit all the right tastebuds! They are simply one of the best places in town with many years of wonderful customer service!

They are now serving lunch and I was craving a Cuban sandwich and they have a very good one on the menu, more of a to-go lunch spot but they do have a few chairs so sit. The Cuban was very good and next trip I will try the Reuben!!

We had some great sandwiches. Hubby had a ruben, which is why we ventured out here. He said it was one of the better ones he had in this area. I had the cuban it was really good too! Great flavor. We will be back there!

I had the chef salad for lunch today. It was the best I've had in some time! Their lunch menu looks great and I am looking forward to working my way through it! Great service and online ordering was a snap. I definitely recommend it!

Ordered a "We Care" cookie basket. It was filled with all kinds of soft, fresh cookies and mini-cakes. Everyone especially loved the oatmeal raisin cookies! Makes a great thank you gift. It's a large, impressive basket that's charmingly accented with the company's signature wooden spoon and over-sized bow. Great value considering how much you get in the basket and how great it tastes!

I'm new to the area and I was looking for a good sandwich place for lunch. I tried TWS out today and it was muy delicioso! I had the veggie and my son had the grilled cheese panini! I look forward to eating there again and trying their other options. The pasta salad was also really good. The worker was very sweet and polite as well. I love good food and good workers! Try it! You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the monte Cristo sandwich and it was awful, look like you just slapped the ham and turkey, the bread was Saggy it was not toasted, and for 9.00 I was not satisfied, threw the entire sandwich away. Not satisfying at all but there lunch is really delicious that's why I was shock

A huge thank you to the Wooden Spoon! My daughter was traveling with her school group on her birthday. I wanted to have a special birthday treat delivered to her hotel for when she arrived. Every place I called couldn't make it happen until I called the Wooden Spoon, their delivery person was already out for the day, but when they heard what I was trying to do the woman on the phone (so upset that I didn't write down her name!) said she would deliver it herself after work. This mom, who didn't get to see her daughter on her birthday is eternally grateful! My daughter and her team from school loved the treats! Thank you so much for going above and beyond!

Nice little out of the way place which had the good idea of mixing tasty sandwiches and cupcakes. I couldn't pass up the mint chocolate chip. Made to order and hot, it's not fast food but well worth the wait.

Since I am a vegetarian it is quite hard to find a place that is willing to offer a vegetarian options or even change the menu slightly to accommodate me. My wife and I tried the wooden spoon and found it to be quite delicious and extraordinary place if you're looking for some vegetarian options. Upon arrival I ordered chicken grilled salad in there able to pull the chicken off of it for me which I found to be quite courteous of them since many establishments won't even offered to do that. We ended up Paying way less than what we thought. Which is also a great surprise since we are always on the search for a good meal at a great price.

Called in an order, told 20 mins by the staff. Showed up early and the order was ready. I had a grilled cheese plate. Oh my! The combo of the different cheeses, fresh sourdough bread with pesto was delicious! I only ate half and was stuffed. My wife loves her wrap as well. Will be back. Well done.

Went here for lunch and got the Nikki sandwich with a side of pasta salad and 2 cookies. It was SO delicious and very reasonably priced! The cookies were so fresh and chewy! The employees are so nice and gave great advice as to what to order. I will definitely be coming back! My only suggestion is to call your order in so you can just go right in and pick it up rather than waiting to have it be made. There are a few bar stools that you can eat at, but it's more of a grab and go type place. Definitely recommend!

Our Son and his family live in Benton and we wanted to get a Valentine's family gift to them from our home in Jacksonville, FL., but of course hadn't planned in advance. Via an Google search my wife found The Wooden Spoon and called. They said yes they had a great basket with all kinds of goodies, and best yet, they could have it delivered that day! Our grandkids are still raving about the quality, quantity and great selection of goodies! Fantastic service from a great Shreveport-area business. Next time we visit we're going to stop into The Wooden Spoon and get some goodies for ourselves!

I don't usually favor sandwich places and this one is no exception. Unlike some other sandwich shops, this place is not a sit-down place. It is more of a take-out place in an industrial area. While the location does not offer much in the way of parking, I didn't feel unsafe there. Walking in, you order at a small counter. There are 4 bar stools to the left where you can sit and wait for your order after ordering. I think it would be best to call in your order or ordering online prior to getting here so you're not surprised that it's take-away only. Lots of patrons in and out the door but most, if not all, of them know to pre-order and just come and pick up. The sandwiches and sides I ordered (and noticed going in and out the door) were pretty average and nothing really to urge me to crave the place or food. I recall sandwiches I've had at Jersey Mike's, Lenny's, or Firehouse more than I recall what I had at The Wooden Spoon. The locals seem to love it more than I (a transplant). The staff is friendly and courteous. The food is what you would expect from a home-grown sandwich shop. The location is adequate. Meh...*shrug...

I got a sandwich meal from here. It was amazing and came with a sandwich, chips, cookie, and a drink. Very delicious and reasonably priced too. I will be coming back

The food is good but the wait time when you get it at a remote site is ridiculous. First they tell you a time and when you check back in and it is still the same amount of wait then it's not worth it. We were at a charity event but they knew the number of people to expect. Highly disappointed.

I took a 3 hour long exam next door at the prometric. I was famished and having a massive headache. I walked in and a very nice gentleman at the counter helped me out with two Advils and a glass of water. Thank you so much, kind sir! I also ordered a lunch box of Ruben and potato salad. For dessert I got a chocolate cupcake. Everything was flavorful, delicious and exactly what I needed after a brutal exam. The restaurant is nice, clean and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely return.

My sister is having her first child today (a girl) and I live far away and I wanted to send her a cookie basket. The lady I spoke with (Susan) couldn't have been more polite, sweet and helpful! She was very professional as well! Thank you so much for providing such an excellent and courtesy service! My sister loved the basket and we're expecting baby to arrive anytime now! Thank you again and will definitely recommend to everyone and will use you guys again in the future! I'd give 10 stars if I could!!

Good lunch sandwiches, fresh and decently priced, with a fairly short wait time for your order, maybe 5-10 minutes.

The food is so good they sell so many different and delicious stuff like sandwiches, cookies , cakes , full meals. The wait actually IS NOT that long , but you have to consider everything is made from scratch, the dough , the sandwich bread , the cookies and the meat that goes in the sandwiches. The store is also a veteran owned business and gives a pretty good military discount. The employees are extremely nice and welcoming. All the gift basket are all handmade and delivered by them. There employee count is only between 5-6 and they do a outstanding job despite all the stuff they have to make. And finally their also hooked to the waiter app so you don't even have to leave the house to get their food

I randomly found Wooden Spoon online when looking for a non-chain sandwich shop, and have been a loyal customer ever since. I always call in my order on the way home from work. Their salads and sandwich boxed lunches have all been really good. They're really friendly and prices are very reasonable. They always have treats in their front area and I usually end up picking up extra cookies or cupcakes to take home, because they're so good. I only wish they were open on Saturdays!!! Please consider.

I too live far from Shreveport and The Wooden Spoon has helped me with gifts for my Shreveport relatives for years. Great bakery - great food - awesome customer service!

Oh so good! I am all about finding the best local restaurants, this place makes my list. It was easy and convenient to grab box lunches to go. The sandwiches and potato salad were delicious. The red velvet cupcake is a must! I was also very pleased with customer service, very friendly and helpful. I don't give 5 stars very often, but felt this bakery was deserving. I will be back!
