Google
Love this place. It's usually quiet enough to get some reading done, but also a great place to meet up with friends. The barristas are great and serve phenomenal drinks. They often do a special latte, and they are impossibly delicious, especially with Oatly. Expect to hear a Morrisey song at some point.

Google
Nice cafe. Plenty seating options inside. Coffee tastes good. Can recommend the mini butter croissants. Would wish they have a bit more pastry selection

Google
Specialty coffee shop conveniently located next to Memorial Park. They also serve local pastries from Love Croissants. Food: Iced Vietnamese coffee was solid, but the cortado was just OK. Flavor profile from the espresso beans were fruity, light, and acidic which I don't prefer for espresso (typically more dark chocolate, nutty, etc). Maybe will try a flavored iced latte next time. Ordered the chocolate croissant which, while pricey ($8.50), was indeed very tasty! Flaky, crunchy, and delicate exterior with nice soft interior. I don't regret trying it, and may have to come back to have it again. Vibe: simple industrial chic, good number of seating options. Cool area for sampling the artisans teas they have which look very interesting.

Google
Totally amazing place for a stop after a run at memorial park. They even serve taco deli breakfast tacos. I ordered a decaf latte, egg taco and almond croissant. My daughter ordered the mint tea. All were served with class like your at a high end coffee shop. They’ve got out door seating and games to play while enjoying your coffee. I truly enjoyed my breakfast after an intense run with my daughter!

Google
Coffee was ok. Not great in my opinion but not good. The tacos were very good and delicious though. When I went apparently they were a new addition to the menu. Tortillas on them were buttery and great just how a breakfast tacos should be. Staff was all friendly and there was a good amount of parking available.

Google
Found this place because I learned that they serve croissants we like (Love Croissants). We have been here a couple times and like the coffee. Today we had a matcha tea latte and an iced black tea latte as well as savory croissants. Everything was great. Relaxing and pleasant atnosphere and friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back again.

Google
This cozy spot near the Heights in Houston is perfect for coffee lovers. I visited on a Sunday, and it wasn’t very busy, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. They offer an impressive selection of pastries and teas, though I was disappointed they didn’t have matcha available.

Google
Spacious cafe a great place for studying or meeting up with a friend! The interior is cute and I enjoyed my coffee. The matcha was not too bad either.

Yelp
Quaint little coffee shop. Some counter seating and tables for four. Not much noise isolation or distance so everyone can hear everyone's conversations. Coffee is decent at a normal price.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick coffee on a weekend morning. It's located on a small strip plaza with its own parking lot. It was very chill when we walked in, only a few people were inside studying or chatting. It's pretty spacious and clean. Friendly service with two people working behind the counter. I was surprised to see Viet iced coffee on the menu. I wanted something a bit strong but wasn't sure if it was a good idea to order Viet iced coffee. I took the leap of faith and ordered it anyway. If done right, the taste should be rich and creamy. Instead it tasted very watered down and quite bitter even if I mixed it with sugar. I couldn't finished it.

Yelp
Iced brown sugar latte - 8/10 - $5.80 Stopped by at this cute coffee shop a while back for a caffeine boost. The barista recommended their seasonal brown sugar flavor. The latte was good but this is one of those coffee shops that have more stronger coffee than sweet so i recommend it for anyone who likes stronger coffee. This spot is also great for studying!

Yelp
I have been making my way to different coffee shops in the Houston area, and I stumbled across The Yellow Cup on the Yelp map. I hadn't seen anything about it on social media so it was my first time hearing of it. The shop itself is easy to find and had ample parking on a weekday midmorning. There is plenty of natural light and various seating options. Wi-Fi is provided, which makes it perfect for a place to catch a cup of coffee and get some work done. I had an iced latte or mocha beverage that was made based on the recommendations of the staff. It was delicious! There were several pastry options and quiche for a quick bite. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and organized. I will definitely be returning in the near future! I can see this being one of my go to coffee spots.

Yelp
Yellow Cup = top tier coffee! I'll keep it short and sweet-- Although I never remember to check in, the hubs and I get lattes here weekly and they never disappoint. This is a compliment and speaks to how quickly we're in and out when our order goes in on Clover. (We always order ahead) Yellow Cup also has great, fresh almond croissants. Trust me!
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
The cappuccino I had here was pretty good. For those who are lactose intolerant or on a diet, they have milk alternatives (oat, almond, soy) available in case whole milk doesn't cut it for you. My order did take longer compared to most coffee shops I've been to. So if you're in a rush to get somewhere after this, consider a different location instead. There also isn't much parking space available. It's competing with other places like Rush Bowls and Finley's Barbershop for parking space. There is a parking garage available, but it seems like this is intended for apartment residents. I just so happened to luck out and find a parking space, but you might not necessarily be so lucky.

Yelp
Pretty cute place. I am really in between 3 & 4 stars. I got a vanilla latte and it tasted kind of odd. Not like a normal vanilla latte. The flavoring was off and it just wasn't as good. Which is hard to make a vanilla latte taste different and bad. I also got a chocolate croissant and a ham and cheese croissant for my friend. She also got a drink. The total was $36!!! I'm sorry but that's insane. The croissants are like $10 each wtf!!! The prices are not written anywhere and I guess I should've asked but they are never that expensive anywhere so I'm just so shocked and was kinda angry at how expensive it was I mean the croissant was delicious at least thank god. And the staff was super sweet. The aesthetic is on point as well and they have indoor and outdoor seating which is great. But wow overall no thanks!

Yelp
Very much enjoyed the flat white, thank you barista for the suggestion. Quiet place on Washington Ave., easy parking. Their ceramic mugs are so wonderful, I plan to buy a couple for the office. See below pics of my buddies' elegant coffee servings. If you're bored you can hang out and play tic tac toe.

Yelp
Ordered a green tea "for here." I'm staring at the bar waiting for my drink to be prepared but only noticed orders "to go." After a little while I got up to check on my order to find out that the order was placed in a "to go," cup and had been sitting for a while. I let the impersonal barista boy, Nick, know, that it was supposed to be "for here." He said nothing. Literally, not a word. $5.71 for a cup of tea and this is the type of disregard you can get. Laughable. Will not patronize them again.

Anessa S.

Yelp
Quick and easy and delicious! The croissants are just like the ones in Paris. So many tea options and yummy seasonal flavors of coffee

Yelp
This is a place that popped in my search for a coffee shop on the way to downtown. Loved the fact that it gives good coffee and also had some great food options. A lot of people were recommending tacodeli breakfast tacos. Got the Jess special and was pleasantly filled with eggs, jack cheese and avocado. I also got a coffee and elected to do a French press, since a V60 was not possible. The French press is a slow coffee option for a reason. However it took a little long - my receipt said I ordered it at 9:05 am, but I didn't get it back until about 9:34a. Not a bad thing considering the taste of the coffee was well balanced, lots of fruity l plum and milk chocolate notes. However it worked out since I was staying there that morning. Otherwise the service was friendly and attentive. However the coffee came out quite slowly. Glad to find another great coffee place!

Yelp
Was looking for a cute coffee shop before my errands and this was perfect. No problem with parking, clean, spacious, friendly staff with great recommendations. Definitely will be back for that tasty banana nut muffin!

Yelp
It was super busy this morning at 8am so I had to wait ten extra minutes after my mobile order because they had only one employee show up! She was extremely professional and attended to everyone as quickly as possible, she was also super nice. New espresso tonic is absolutely delish as well. Ambiance as always is relaxed despite it being busy.

Yelp
Decided to try a new coffeeshop to study and was not disappointed! Yellow cup is quieter than other coffeeshops I've been to and not crowded at all so was the perfect place to get work done. Got a chai latte, which was very flavorful and bigger size than what I'm used to for the price. Very cute place to work or meet up with a friend, also love the open natural light.

Paola M.

Yelp
The Iced Chai Latte is amazing! Full bodied and not too sweet. I will definitely be back to try more.

Yelp
Nice cozy coffee shop to study, work, or just hangout! The customer service is great, there's plenty of parking out front, and the space is neat and clean. I didn't like the drink I got on my first visit, but I'm sure they have a good matcha latte that I'll have to try next time
google avatar

Karina N.

Yelp
I came here yesterday with a friend and had a really great cup of matcha! It was the perfect stop before our walk! I definitely recommend them and I'll definitely be back. Extra points for the heart in my drink! :)

Tasjah H.

Yelp
I have notice this a couple of times now.....it happened before and so I needed to address..... I ordered lavender latte.....the guy was not personable, lack a lil customer service and not sure if this is toward people of color because he showed different interaction to the other person that was not a person of color. Latte was not drained properly so it had the lavender herbs inside of the drink....this is not suppose to be so I told him and he seem to have attitude about it and he prepared the drink. SMH..... please address this....

Yelp
The Yellow Cup is getting better; stocking and brewing exclusively Onyx coffee, their pour over quality is increasing noticeably as time goes on. I'm excited to see where this well-hidden gem of a shop goes next.

Amy F.

Yelp
Ok ambience, but small and not particularly cozy or inviting. Coffee was fine, but I tend to expect and prefer a more stout cup when I order an Americano. I also had a southwest style quiche, which was tasty. I think i'd visit another coffee shop before returning here.

Yelp
Local place by Memorial Park and the oat cap had a nice sweet, medium body flavor and also good size. They also have Tacodeli and I had the vegan taco with bean and avocado and it was very good. Nice and relaxing morning. Ample parking in lot. Seating available outside too. Reasonable pricing. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute and easily accessible spot just off the roundabout and part of a larger strip mall. Ample parking in the back for free for any patrons. The interior is cute with plenty of indoor seating, and was not very busy on a Sunday morning. Iced matcha latte was quite good. The baristas were quite nice, although my friend had a rather brisk experience with the cashier so I took off the star. As a cute added bonus, there are many potted plants inside that are all for sale with labeled price tags.
google avatar

Tyra T.

Yelp
Really chilled spot. Nice for work or coffee dates. Area is also very convenient. Aside of that the coffee was bomb!
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
Surely a large amount of teas to choose from in the cutest *yellow* tins. Organic, artfully mixed together. There are certainly main options. Coffee wise, it looks like there are a variety of in house syrups to choose from. I went with a lavender latte... half sweet. Per the baristas recommendation. It was exactly that, bold and captivating with a hint of sweetness. Cute design on top 10/10. Durable and large sized cup. Worth it! Walking in it's quiet and airy. Somewhere I'd dream of studying at in the prime of my undergrad degree. Seating is ample and comfortable. The music is not distracting like it could be at some coffee shops. I think this may be a cute place to meet someone for a date maybe? Yes, perhaps a second date!

Marrisa M.

Yelp
just recently moved to the area so trying out new matcha and chai tea places. we got a to-go iced for both. the matcha latte tastes like straight milk i cannot taste the matcha at all. as for the chai latte it was okay but tasted heavily artificial. although there was friendly service. but i would not return.
google avatar

Yelp
Wait time was average. This place seemed quiet but not too quiet. It has a good vibe. I like the little bar areas. My lavender flavored flat white with oat milk was tasty. Decent spot for coffee
google avatar

Victor H.

Yelp
Right on Washington Avenue, it's a more modern coffee shop with a friendly staff and quite a bit of options. There's an abundance of flavors, milks, and styles to choose from. Went with the Vanilla latte with 2% milk which hit the spot. Although a bit pricey, my beverage had nice consistency and taste to keep me awake. The staff is eager to have indoor seating again but are following the COVID results closely before they decide to implement what places used to have. I hope to experience it soon as this would be a fun spot to chill and sip coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
They need more employees/faster employees. My biggest gripe here is it takes ages to get your coffee at a busy time. There's currently a line of 5 people at 8:46am as I type this. If you're willing to wait, it's a great spot. Delicious coffee, I love the tacos, lovely tea selection. Really everything is nearly perfect. I'm just hoping they can hire more staff soon to help with the demand. It's a great place!!
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
Coffee was good. Muffin was okay. Pretty dry to be honest. Cute little place though. Great to go lounge and work if you are looking for a place like Starbucks. I was a little disappointed because they only serve the hot breakfast tacos on the weekend so you only have a few pastries and a quiche to choose from during the week. They have little toaster ovens they heat the food up in.
google avatar

Oghosa A.

Yelp
I got the oatmeal cookie iced latte which is an oatmilk, cinnamon, and chocolate latte and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced and blended. I didn't make any modifications to the drink at all which is rare. The drink also tasted absolutely delicious from the first sip to the last even when the ice had melted. Definitely recommend and I'll definitely be back
google avatar

Alberto M.

Yelp
Coffee was good. Seating was okay. I wish the bar stool table was a little taller so it could also be used as a standing table. Enough outlets but not an abundance. Plenty of parking outside. Good news is that it doesn't seem to be overrun with people working so you can easily find a table to work at. There's nice outside seating as well for chatting with a friend or taking a quick call. Bathrooms were clean. Also, I feel like the drink was bigger than I receive at other shops, which is a huge plus. It was overall a good experience. Small downside is that they do close on the earlier side. By the end, they were playing awesome Spanish music classics which I was a big fan of, haha! (Cumbia's mostly).

Yelp
Here's an update! I'm glad to say after almost a year of not returning to this establishment, The Yellow Cup has improved! I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and honey. It was excellent! I've ordered it about 3-4 times already. The matcha is good quality and well-balanced. Customer service needs to improve a little bit. Sometimes the workers are not welcoming. A simple smile or greeting can make a big difference to someone who can become a regular.

Dillon l.

Yelp
Great coffee and tea. However they advertise to be pet friendly and when asked if they served a "pup cup" the person taking my order said no and then proceeded to mock me for even asking if they served a "pup cup". It's completely fine if it's not an item that is served but if you're going to make fun of a customer do it where they can't physically see and hear you.

Yelp
Great quiet and airy space for working! Replicates the modern start-up office vibe. * Coffee Quality: good! A little pricey but nothing crazy. Very good Latté art which I love. Not as many signature lattes as I'd like to see but still great and reliable blends. * Interior / Vibe: Clean and modern. Not a huge space but it wasn't crowded when I went. There are barstool seats and handful of tables. My only critique (and reason for 4/5 stars) is because this place isn't the coziest - it is bright and airy but it doesn't really have much character in my opinion. They should add some more art and color. Also - the chairs aren't super comfortable (hard plastic) - my suggestion would be to add some comfier lounge chairs or padded seats. That being said - the clean airy atmosphere here is GREAT for doing work. It's super quiet and not very busy so it really recreates that modern-start-up office vibe for you. Last note - there are parking spots in front and in the garage - however it fills up quick! Get there early Overall - highly recommend!

Yelp
This is a really cute coffee shop! I had the fall special pumpkin spice drink cold and it was pretty good. There's also a lot of parking up front. This store itself isn't super big and I would say there are 3-4 large tables and another 3 smaller tables with bar tables around the perimeter. I think it would be a cute place to study if you like a very "modern" or "clean" area. I personally prefer somewhere that feels more "homey", so it wasn't my cup of tea, but I think it would be a good fit for a lot of people!

Yelp
High expectations for this place but it ended up being very underwhelming! - Lavender Oat Milk Flat White: got this based on the barista's recommendations and it wasn't very tasty :( Very subtle lavender & not much caffeine, but overall creamy and rich which was good. For something that was over $5 that was less than 12 oz, I wouldn't get this again. - Mother's Latte: very distinct & rich maple flavor which I enjoyed. It tasted more like milk than any other coffee flavor though. Parking is limited. Would recommend parking across the street & then walking over. Plenty of indoor seating; due to the beautiful weather we opted to enjoy a spot outside. Service was meh. Overall lots of hype but lack of delivery! Hoping others has a better experience.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at the Yellow Cup. It was a positive environment to work from and the staff was attentive and made bomb recommendations.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a couple years now. It's always been adequate - solid drinks and good muffins. As of late it's been hit or miss. I usually go with the viet coffee, but mix it up occasionally. Sometimes it's great and other times it's just undrinkable now. The service is also kinda going downhill. A couple of the male baristas are really sassy (like, relax bro sheesh). The last time I went there I ordered an iced vanilla matcha latte. Like other people have said, often times they just put your drink in the counter and don't say anything, so I just had to guess if it was mine. I asked the sassy barista boy if it was my drink and he said yes. It looked kinda weird (darker than it should've been), so I asked if it was an iced vanilla matcha, and he said "no, you asked for chocolate." I've never had that in my life and didn't even know it was a thing tbh. I told him it was supposed to be vanilla and he rolled his eyes, grabbed the drink, and said "I'll remake it." I offered to pay for another one, but he insisted on having an attitude. I'm willing to overpay for a mediocre drink and decent service, but if I have to have a mediocre drink and deal with beta male sassiness, I can just go to Starbucks tbh.

Yelp
This place is down the street from where we live and we love stopping in! They're always nice and quick! Great coffee shop with lots of space to sit!!

Yelp
I was in the area after an appointment and looked for coffee nearby. I decided here since they had food other than pastries. I had a vanilla latte and a taco. After I ordered I went to the bathroom really quick and figured my coffee would be done while I was using the restroom. I come back out and the barista is working on a drink, but it was for the girl behind me. I've never been to a shop where I'm skipped over so I was a little annoyed by that but just waited while she made hers instead. I left and ate in the car. The tacos are from another company but was disappointing. The tortilla is melted on to the aluminum foil so I didn't have much to work with. It wasn't appetizing and I didn't finish all of the coffee no matter how hard I tried. I more than likely won't be returning.
google avatar

Lorena T.

Yelp
We are a little bit picky about our coffee, specially when we're traveling, and yellow cup hit the spot. A casual spot with plenty of expresaos and cappuccino options. My husband had a blueberry scone and I did the Texas thing and got a breakfast taco (bacon egg and cheese)... delicious! I was adventurous enough to try a splash of lavender in my cappuccino and it has delicious . I only wish they had a more welcoming setting for hanging out and enjoying your coffee... it's a bit plane and cold. I will definitely come back for the coffee!

Thao P.

Yelp
Love their coffee. Love the service. Highly recommend their Pop Oat Iced Coffee. Not on the menu but so refreshing and delicious!!!

Yelp
It was mid Monday morning ,not a soul in sight. I crept to a parking space, there were so many to my delight. I parked and walked up to a sign on the door, no coffee no mask, need I say more? I strolled through the door, and to my great relief, there wasn't a soul, not even a peep. With the floor to myself, to the menu I gandered, selecting a cold brew, which is my new standard. Less than 5 minutes, my coffee in hand, I waved farewell to my new friends. Excellent service and coffee to boot, give it a shot, you having nothing to lose.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick coffee on my way home from lunch downtown and The Yellow Cup delivered! Although I learned it has been here for a few years, it was my first visit and I am glad to know if a solid coffee option near Memorial Park. The Yellow Cup's commitment to quality was evident in my cortado. It was not a fast cup and the barista shared his recommendations for other coffee shops in the city as well. Thank you yellow cup for the quick boost
google avatar

Cynthia V.

Yelp
This is such a cute place! I have had The Yellow Cup on my list of places to try for a while now and I am sad it took me this long to get here. The space is beautifully decorated and has a light, airy feel to it. There is a good number of tables and seats for people to enjoy their coffee/tea. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and blueberry danish - the vanilla latte was perfectly sweet and smooth and the danish was so fresh it may have been the best I've ever had from a coffee shop. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that my latte came in a gray mug....what about yellow cups?! Only kidding.... I came around 9:30am on a Saturday and had no issues with parking. However, by the time we left at 10am, the lot was filling up.
google avatar

Alissa K.

Yelp
I really want to love this place because it is so close to my house. The ambiance is nice with some decent parking and out door seating. Pastry selection and quality is decent. I think they need to work on consistency with their coffee. It's usually VERY hot and texture is pretty variable. There is no water station which means baristas have to stop what they are doing to get that for you. It's always at least a 15 minute wait for coffee even when there are 2-3 people in the store. Just needs some smoothing out and I think it will be good.

Daisy Z.

Yelp
Love this place! The lattes are so yummy, mommas maple latte is my favorite. The croissants are also so good. This place is always clean, quick and not too loud.

Yelp
Stopped here in a whim because we had some time to kill and was very impressed with the coffee! My dad and I both ordered a vanilla latte and it was very good! Will definitely be coming back here if I'm ever in the area :). The latte art was beautiful too!
