Where To Go For Drinks And A Light Bite - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Logan Square has a lot of dark bars and sports bars. But if you want something different in the neighborhood, you should know about Young American. This small spot has plenty of windows, neon lights, and is even bright enough inside to keep some plants alive. The food and drink menu includes ingredients like leek ash, activated charcoal, and CBD - a lot of trends from two years ago. But the cocktails are great, and they’ve got some tasty dishes like Goth Bread (served with a garlicky “smudge butter,” whatever that means) and small plates like pickled okra with popcorn grits." - adrian kane

Big Kids, Logan Square’s Fun Sandwich Shop, Will Close After Three Years of Partying | Eater Chicago

"A short-lived 2019 placeholder concept in the corner space that experimented with offbeat offerings like 'goth' bread and CBD-infused drinks; the project ultimately could not survive the challenges posed by the pandemic." - Ashok Selvam

The Best Bars and Restaurants in Chicago for Valentine’s Day | Eater

"This Logan Square newcomer, has already made a name for itself with its playful menus. The newest transformation at Young American now includes a Filipino food focus, with dishes like the Filipino pimento cheese and the “Not Cacio e Pepe,” made with spicy ramen noodles from Sun Noodle, shiitake stock brewer’s yeast, and chili crisp. The other menu standouts that got all of Chicago talking, though, are the cocktails. Order a spirits-free one, like the pineapple shrub, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, add a CBD tincture to it." - Vox Creative

My daughter had the great pleasure of taking a week's camp and loved it. My family and I attended both shows and the staff as well as the kids were so awesome. This organization is very organized, precise, caring and in sync. The dances and singing were off the charts! Way to go Young Americans! I love how young americans involve EVERYONE!

I can't wait to hopefully begin college here in the fall of 2022. I am so excited. This is such a wonderful group of people. I love how everyone is accepted for who they are. Here, we are all a family. I love you guys. Can't wait to join you. If you see this, please let me know if there are going to be any summer camps in Tuolumne or Calaveras County of California this year. I miss you guys!!!! <3 <3 (:

Was back with my Grandson who was a Young American. He wanted to take a tour down memory lane after 7 years, since we are from Nebraska visiting in California. He loved it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this non-profit performing arts group. Each and every one of them are living examples of everything that is good in the world. Besides being college educated through The Young Americans College of Performing Arts, they are also the most heartfelt, transparent and talented young performers you will ever see. They tour world-wide with a mission to 'inspire the world through music' and their signature music outreach programs foster connection, hope and self-worth in the lives of young people everywhere. I only wish I would have know about them when I was younger!

Best variety for chilaquiles. Very authentic tastes from the various regions of Mexico. You can even request 2 different styles of chilaquiles if you can’t decide on just one. Service is above par. There may be a wait but it’s worth it.
