What To Eat At Spice Bridge, A New Food Hall In Tukwila - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Theary Cambodian Food’s noumm ka ri is another pastry that lives in our minds rent-free. This super flaky dough comes stuffed with a meat and vegetable filling and topped with herbs, fried garlic, peanuts, and dollops of their homemade chile oil (that’s also available for purchase). While it would be easy to eat four noumm ka ri and call it a day, you shouldn’t miss their stuffed chicken wings or lemongrass paste spice chicken patty/meatball combo platter. Both come with fluffy rice wrapped in banana leaves and a side of tangy pickled cabbage and cucumbers." - carlo mantuano

Tukwila Food Hall Spice Bridge Highlights Immigrant and Refugee Businesses | Eater Seattle

"At Theary’s Cambodian I’d expect a range of Khmer dishes from som law ma hew kroeung (tamarind-lemongrass soup) and bi cha kroeung poong tia (Khmer-spiced fried rice with a crispy fried egg) to slabb monn bouwk (stuffed chicken wings wrapped in bacon) and a burger topped with chicken pate and mango salad, with diners able to customize spice levels using homemade chili oil." - Megan Hill

Google
This was my first time trying Cambodian food, and I have to say — I WILL be coming back to support this business! Food was spectacular. Flavors were out of this world. Pricing is fair for the quality of ingredients. Plates are shareable. Me and my partner tried the no. 8 and the no. 13, with pork and beef skewers. We added a beef curry pastry as well. Everything was extremely savory, spicy, aromatic and smoky. We could feel the care the chef puts into the food they make. 10/10 🖤

Google
AMAZING. Don’t think twice. Eat here. Get the combo plate, it has the amazing rice and the hits as far as the meat goes. 100% can feed two or one lucky person who wants leftovers. The stirfry chicken with rice is dreamy. The chefs energy and support of her food is beautiful, this is soul food! The flavors are off the charts, uniquely diff than Thai, Laos, Vietnam and surrounding cultures. Don’t pass over the house made chili oil and accompanying veg, herbs and pickled goodies, they all goes toward making these explosive bites w the rice and meats. We will 100% be coming back, telling everyone we know and eating here again. We did takeout and it made it home perfectly. I’m dying to try the pasty and all the skewers now!

Google
Walking in, you are greeted by a huge menu on display. This establishment has a small dining area. I would consider it intimate & cozy Khmer beef skewer-2.99 10/10, the meat was tender and juice and had so much flavor, you can tell they marinated it. It also came embedded on top of a pickled fresh cabbage salad Worth every penny. They also offer a dish with the skewers on rice. I ordered the combination plate - The rice was delicious, it had a nice crunch to it like fried rice. The boneless stuffed jumbo wing was stuffed with noodles and aromatic spices. The meatballs were delicious and had a lemongrass flavor to them. You can tell they were hand rolled. The coconut quarter chicken had crispy fried skin and could taste the coconut flavor throughout the meat. It was perfectly cooked, and extremely juicy. This dish also came with that delicious cabbage salad and some spicy chili paste known as “demon sauce”. It wasn’t too spicy, it was perfect. As I was eating she was frying a pan of vegetarian egg rolls for a catering order. This item was not on the menu. After I finished I stayed and talked to the owner. She was very friendly and accommodating. I will be back to try more of her dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Google

I ordered this for to go but I couldn’t wait till get home so I just parked my car on the side opened it and ate it!!!!!! Their food looks so beautiful and tastes amazing. Also they are very kind and friendly. I’m so impressed !! I definitely recommend this place. Thank you for make me and my tummy happy 🙏✨✨✨

Google
What an incredible experience 😊🇰🇭 I got to speak with the owner for a short time and she told me a bit about the history of the Khmer people which I really appreciated. The food was excellent. I was so full and had plenty of leftovers to take home. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. Keep in mind that this is a small family owned business so be patient as they work through their orders. Enjoy!

Google
We were visiting from Florida and stumbled upon this beautiful place while walking the area from our hotel. We’ve never had Cambodian food so wanted to give it a try. The owner was amazing, so patient with our questions and gave her recommendations for first timers. She explained also the traditional ways of their cooking and doing it homestyle to honor those who taught them and how they grew up. So to the very few comments of a long wait; good things take time. She also made on site fresh cucumber water. The food was amazingly seasoned. The heat was balanced out with fresh cucumbers and pickled veggies. Omg, yes, that was another great part that everything was fresh! The quality, portion & sense of community was mind blowing

Google
Wow. This food is so delicious, and the menu is so interesting! I've had the chicken wings stuffed with noodles, the Khmer sandwich, and the #7 noodles. All have been so tasty, and I look forward to having everything they offer! They also sell jars of the wonderful sauces they make

Google
The owner was so warm and sincere! The food was absolutely incredible and the portions were super generous. We would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone loving Cambodian food!

Yelp
This is one of those restaurants where I am so blow away that I wish them all the success. We happened to come across this spot because for a pit stop and someone commented they drive 40 mins to eat here. Fun tip, it's walking distance from a Tesla supercharger for those who care! I don't often have Cambodian food so I don't have much of a reference point but each dish is full of flavor and the owner is so friendly. We loved all the dishes. The skewers had such tender and juicy meat. The soup was hooked up by the owner and felt like a home cooked dish, it was great! The assorted plate with the chicken was well done and the stuffed chicken was so unique but also reminded me of a Vietnamese dish. My wife loved the meatball and the crispy rice added nice texture with the pickled onions. The demon sauce was good and a must, I wish I had more because we added it with every bite. The curry beef pastry reminded me of one of my favorite baos in Seattle. If you have to charge your car, this spot is perfect because she is a one man show, from chatting to you, taking your order, making the food, and delivering the food, so it will be a bit of a wait but it's worth it! Her hospitality truly feels like you're being welcomed into her home and she's cooking from family recipes. We definitely will be back!! Thank you!

Yelp
Most incredible meal I've had in months. The number 4 is big enough to split and still have a little snack left for later, and every bite is absolutely magnificent. So good, in fact, you're not gonna want to share. Super friendly and kind service as well. A pleasure and a privilege to eat their food.
google avatar

Yelp
Theres not of lot of places to get Cambodian food in WA so I was super excited to go ! This is a hole in a wall spot that serves super delicious food. The stuffed chicken was divine and it reminded me of my grandma's cooking ! We got combo #4 and combo #13 ; both were so yummy. The crunchy rice added such a nice touch. It's a small restaurant so not a lot of seating. Service can be slow because they are short staffed ( only one cook when I went ) but I say the food is worth the wait !
google avatar

Volha A.

Yelp
A little hole in a wall that will not disappoint if you're into authentic food with bright flavors! The owner is so sweet and friendly, she took the time to introduce us to Cambodian food and explain about the ingredients that go into making it. The food was so beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. I really enjoyed the kmer spin on the papaya salad, and the beef skewers were so tender and beautifully seasoned. What a treat!

Yelp
Always a great time being back at Theary's. The owner is extremely passionate about Cambodian cuisine, offering the freshest ingredients and the most flavorful Khmer dishes I've ever had. Every bite is packed with flavor, with unique ingredients like lemongrass also known as Kreung. I got the cha kreung which is fried rice with lemongrass and chicken, it was so good and chicken was so tender. The kouy tiev Khmer noodle with meat and broth was like a stew noodle soup, there was so much meat, combination of sweet and salty, the perfect balance, it was absolutely delicious. I recommend this authentic Cambodian restaurant and it is definitely worth the drive!

Rob W.

Yelp
Great history. Great food! Greta people. Across from Tesla charging on our way to Bellevue to visit family. We eat veggies and fish and they are super accommodating with wonderful flavors and spices. Looks like for the carnivores - you wouldn't be disappointed.

Yelp
Came into today with my mom to try this restaurant and we left feeling full and delighted with the food we tried. We both haven't tried Cambodian food but we were pleasantly surprised with the choices we made. The portions were on the bigger side & can be shared between two people. It did take a little longer for the food as it is made to order, however the food was worth the wait. It is a smaller restaurant with only 3 tables for seating. We definitely will be back to try their other dishes.

Johnny K.

Yelp
I had their Kroeung meatballs with sticky rice and it was amazing! The rice itself was flavorful and everything down to the pickled veggies complimented each other so well. Will be back to try more dishes.
google avatar

Connie B.

Yelp
Delicious the pickled veggies were flavorful, the stuffed chicken wings were packed and full of flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked and the service was 10/10. Friendly and worked very quickly! They are providing an inviting and welcoming restaurant bringing cultural foods to our community, but also helping families back home with donation and event opportunities. They build real connections with their customers a long with providing great meals. Will be back very soon!

Yelp
When I think of places to eat that has Cambodian food, it is honestly hard to name because there is not that many in the greater Seattle area. This restaurant offers more affordable, fairly delicious Cambodian food in Federal Way, amongst a plethora of Korean restaurants nearby. I drove specifically to eat here, and trust me, it was a worthwhile 1 hour drive down from Seattle. My friend and I shared the combination meal and Noeum Banch Jhok which was way more than enough food. Technically, the combination meal ($28.99) is enough for 2 people, but I was extra hungry and this was my one and only meal for that day. Combination meal features #1-3. The lemongrass beef and chicken meatball is my favorite of the 3, followed by the jumbo stuffed chicken wing. The baked lemongrass coconut quarter chicken is good but not as outstanding as the other two. I really love their extensive and generous use of lemongrass, my favorite herb, and the owner also mentioned that their Cambodian cuisine leverages more lemongrass and less of coconut, which I absolutely do not mind at all. The Noeum Banch Jhok was a noodle dish that is intentionally served lukewarm, with lemongrass and coconut combination. The noodles here are not really vermicelli but still fairly thin, which soaks up the sauces well. There is a hint of fishy flavor with chicken, which is how the ingredients stacked up. This was a great unique dish that I wouldn't really see it that common around the area, so I am happy with trying it. Service is okay (could be better with water served with the first round). Food came out quickly, and the owner is really friendly as we had a nice conversation after our meal as there were no new customers at that time, and there was heavy rain when we concluded our meal. I definitely see myself coming here again, since of the few places I went to that serves up Cambodian food, this one is most affordable and fairly delicious.

Yelp
-Yes it is small -Yes it is wait -YES IT IS WORTH IT! First time here and walking in I was discouraged because it was small and full. But because it was full we took a chance and stayed ! Menu is limited and the prices are worth the serving size (besides the $10 per angel wing ) We ordered Mee Ka thang, cha kroueng monh, and banh xeo ! All were delicious! Especially the banh xeo omg so blown away !! The owner is the sweetest and every bowl is made with love that's why they make time a moment to come out but shows every dish is prepared specially. Reminds me of my childhood restaurants back home in Fall River , MA. Theary made it very welcoming and homey.

Yelp
We placed a mobile order for pickup, looking forward to trying their food for the first time. Unfortunately, my experience with the pickup process wasn't the smoothest. Due to heavy traffic, I arrived about 30 minutes late, but surprisingly, my order wasn't ready. On top of that, they forgot one item, which I had to point out before leaving. That being said, once we got our food, it was absolutely worth the wait. We ordered the combination plate with one skewer, and it was plenty of food given the generous portion of meat. I really appreciated the variety--it's great to have so many options in one meal. The flavors were spot on, and everything was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Plus, for the amount of food you get, the price is very reasonable. Despite the pickup hiccup, I'm definitely interested in trying more from their menu. Hopefully, the ordering process is smoother next time because the food itself is fantastic!

Yelp
Theory puts great thought and enthusiasm into her dishes. She is passionate about sharing her culture's cuisine while also providing healthy food for her customers. If you have time, she'll happily share her goals with you. The freshness is undeniable, and the staff is always kind. Pro tip: You can order ahead to save waiting time, as most dishes are prepared fresh upon order.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Cambodian cuisine, look no further. Theary offers Cambodian dishes packed with traditional, fresh and unique ingredients. Once you arrive, ordering skewers is a must. I mean for the price of $2.99-$3.99 for two, you really can't beat it. The meat is flavorful, tender and full of delicious spice that will leave your taste buds going for more. The skewers definitely brought me back to my childhood when I would get so much of it during Cambodian New Years. I also ordered the Chicken Khmer Fried Rice which was extremely addictive. It was spicy and fragrant. The texture was crispy, yet soft and the meat was tender and delicious. Don't even get me started on the portions. Probably meant to be shared amongst 3-4 people, but since I have such a large appetite, it was perfect for me.. and my girlfriend LOL. The portions were perfect to say the least. I couldn't recommend this dish enough. The service was noticeably on point. My partner and I were the only ones there on a Thursday afternoon, but the staff were just extremely friendly and attentive. I felt right at home when I dined in. Keep in mind that the restaurant is small because they are a small business, but I have hopes that they will grow into a large and successful restaurant very quickly. Although this was my first time coming here, it is definitely not my last. I'm going to make it a goal to order everything off the menu. I wish that more people knew about Theary because this restaurant deserves so much more recognition. As a Cambodian, I do love the food of my people. Experiencing Theary was surely love at first bite. Mark this at the top of your foodie bucket list, you will not regret it.

Yelp
This is such a hidden gem! The food was wonderful and the lady working was very nice! Didn't expect to find something like this in the area but it was a great little spot for lunch!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was delicious and beautifully made. The stuffed wings and papaya salad were exceptional. Plus the owner was so sweet
google avatar

Yelp
If you're a true foodie, you should appreciate it when I say Theary's feels like an Anthony Bourdain-esque find. If you don't get the reference, that means it's an authentic, hole-in-the-wall, flavorful, unique, fresh, cooked with love and sincerity kind of place. Although quite small inside and very unsuspecting from the street, we had wonderful service from the jump. The owner clearly takes a lot of pride in what she does and it shows. My apologies for not in including photos, we were enjoying ourselves so much I completely forgot. If you're adventurous, I would encourage you to give this place a try and ask Theary for her recommendations. You won't be disappointed.

Levi C.

Yelp
Picked up a beef sandwich and it was really great. Similar to a banh mi in certain ways, but a different flavor profile. Would highly recommend.
google avatar

Maxine T.

Yelp
Theary is a magician in the kitchen! I always try to stop by when I'm in federal way. The quality and thought put into each dish really comes through in the flavor.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant today (7/25/24) for lunch and dined in. Greeted Sister Theary as she welcomed us kindly! Spoke to her briefly while she was being attentive to other customers. Ordered the Pork Skewers, a plateful of Wide Noodles with Beef, pickled veggies, broccoli, eggs and Hot Pepper! Very flavorful and tasty! Also got the noodle soup with curry. Received great customer service and ample amount of portion size for our food. For our drinks, got a Coconut drink and Cokes. Got some food to go as well. We even had a chance to try out her Egg rolls as a complimentary appetizer, which was pretty good! We know Theary and are great friends with her, so we always get treated kindly and in an amicable fashion. She treats everyone politely and in a respectable manner.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Theary for many months now. Ever since I saw it pop up in my Yelp searches, I kept telling myself to go. Well - today was finally the day! My fiance and I stopped in and were greeted by the owner herself. She was so friendly and made us feel right at home. When we ordered our food, I got the BookLaHong Khmer (#8) with coconut chicken to go. In total, I paid around $24 for a huge portion of food. The food came out quickly, and I was so excited to chow down. The papaya salad was so vibrant with various colors and had a lot of unique ingredients that balanced each other out well. You can tell the ingredients were fresh, and I couldn't stop eating it. The coconut chicken was cooked well, as the chicken was juicy and the outer skin had a nice flavor of coconut. There was also this chili sauce on the side that went well with the dish. It had a spicy kick and also a bit of tartness, which was refreshing. Overall, I really enjoyed this dish and would love to come back to try the other foods.

Brian H.

Yelp
Huge tasty portions! Excellent food and service. But momma needs more help. Took over 30 minutes to get the Khmer goodies. Put your order in and wait. It's worth it!
google avatar

Colrain F.

Yelp
I was SO excited to see a Khmer place where I could pick up to go food!! The lady up front was super sweet and offering to explain anything to me, stating she and her mom tried to keep the most traditional recipes they could, full of different complementary flavors and mouth feels. She was careful to explain all the different veggies in the Papaya salad I had, but was very uncertain if I'd be ok with the fermented tamarind/fish sauce. I reassured her that I was very familiar. I don't think she believed me. The textures were GREAT. Lots of crispy, crunch from the fresh eggplant, Granny Smith apple, toasted peanuts, kale, and broccoli! I wasn't asked about how much spice I wanted, and it was a very mild pleasant warmth. The beef and shrimp and chicken kabobs were very very tasty! My plate was beautiful, with a variety of kabobs. I also picked up some of the ready to eat sauces including the chili paste, garlic sauce and the fermented Tirk Prohok. Super excited to try them! Go support them! We don't have enough wonderful Cambodian/Khmer places, and as the lady I spoke to said, they have only been there 4 months, and it takes a while for Westerners to catch on... let's keep them open! (My own bias.... It's not Mitapeap, and Sarim and Rina can't be replaced, BUT it was really good in its own right!)
google avatar

Yelp
I have a soft spot for Theary because it's Cambodian food. With everything the country and their people had gone through and now thriving and surviving, it touches me when I see any Cambodian restaurants in the States. When I learned of Theary was at Spice Bridge and that they have opened their own standalone restaurant, I couldn't be happier for them. (FYI, they have permanently left Spice Bridge.) The menu is limited. They have a focus on catering as well as simple store front cafeteria style type of sale. Expect minimal service and to take-away only. The Food: Combination Plate, $26.99 1 Jumbo Stuffed Chicken Wing, 2 Lemongrass Beef & Chicken Meatball, and 1 Baked Lemongrass Coconut Chicken Quarter (bone-in). The dish come with a side of traditional vegetables pickle, sticky rice, and topped with fresh chopped herbs, Theary's chili oil paste, and fried garlic. This thing is huge! Unless the person has big appetite, it is plenty sufficient for two people. Every component was very flavorful and delicious.
google avatar

Sheart F.

Yelp
Yummy- great combo dishes. Good portion. Unfortunately it could be too cold to dine in.
google avatar

Simon H.

Yelp
I got to try a noodle dish w tofu and veggies, and the sauce and flavors had a great tangy kick to it. Their roasted chicken is so good, it may be my favorite dish here. They've come to a few Skyway festivals and bazaars offering free meals, and they always take care to put together a great dish, even for these events. Go try them out!

Denise M.

Yelp
Food are excellent. The combo plate is enough for 2 people with stuff chicken wing, coconut chicken leg, meatballs & papaya salad & sticky rice. The noodle soup is excellent too. You don't find pieces of meat in the chicken soup but it's full of collagen. Their home made chilies is the best
google avatar

Sandra L.

Yelp
Seriously, this is the most authentic and delicious Cambodian food I've ever had here in the States! I'm so glad I stopped on Theary's last day at Spice Bridge. Sadly, by the time you're reading this, Theary will be closed until further notice. The owner was so sweet and explained how to eat the dish and the flavors that go perfectly well together. She plans to reopen elsewhere to pursue her passion, so stay tuned on Instagram to see where she goes. If you ever get the chance to try Theary, you'll be in for a delicious treat! To the reviewers who said the meat is dry, I didn't think so. I ordered the Stuffed Frog and Lemongrass Coconut Chicken Leg Combination Plate ($26.99) and all of the meat was perfectly tender, moist, and flavorful. The plate was huge and it was more than enough food for two people. I wish Theary the best of luck in the near future! Please support this small woman-owned business!

Yelp
We were looking for good protein after our hike at Dash Point State park. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu. Very flavorful and really hit the spot! The cute tables and various decorations were also pleasant to sit amongst while enjoying our meal.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try this place since a lot of people have been posting about it. Yesterday, we finally got to try this place! It's I side the Spice Bridge Food Hall. We got the combination plate, which has sticky rice chicken, stuffed chicken wings, meatballs, and papaya salad. It was a good dish, but in a little disappointed that the chicken was over cooked and turned out pretty dry and hard. The flavors were good, but we're slightly lacking. The redemption item was the dessert! It's similar to the Filipino and Vietnamese dessert with jackfruit and bananas, but deep fried. It was super yummy and I'm still dreaming about it! I would still love to go back and try their other dishes and of course get that dessert item!
google avatar

Dennis D.

Yelp
It's a small shop in Federal Way in a strip mall. Takeout only. Service, promptness, and attention is all on point and perfect. I had the combination plate, and it is EXCELLENT. Very large portion of food. The chicken leg is seasoned perfectly- spicy and delicious. And it's authentically done too. The stuffed chicken is also excellent. The sticky rice and chilis are awesome. Cambodian food is very well represented, so this place definitely does stand out. I'll be back for more!
google avatar

Andy N.

Yelp
I got a combination plate to get to taste a bit of everything! The different meats were really flavorful especially in the first few bite. Unfortunately the flavors started to meld together and ended up getting too salty. I highly recommend an extra order of their rice to keep the flavors from becoming overpowering. Other than the flavoring, the meats were a tad bit dry for my liking, but the flavoring and sauces balance it out. Overall solid spot to try out some Cambodian food.
google avatar

Sea P.

Yelp
My first time here hopefully it's crackin! The owner is nice and bubbly and she knows my brother, butyour wallet better not be on a diet when you come here we ordered the combo (#4) $28.99 and the papaya salad plate with coconut chicken (#9) $22.99 . The owner said most of their customer take out but there is some seating here. The chicken was old and hard but the flavor was there. The sticky rice was mush so no guuch. The meat balls were super stale . The papaya salad wasn't it. Idk I was just expecting baamb. I probably won't come back
google avatar

Chiefy S.

Yelp
Theary provided excellent service and the food was great! A true hidden gem of Federal Way... I got the chicken cha Kroueng, beef sticks, pork sticks, shrimp sticks and the beef curry pastry.

Yelp
My family loved their takeout. The stuffed chicken was a hit. We'll be eating from here again
google avatar

Marlo I.

Yelp
Come here and support a small business! The food is delish. It can take a sec for the food to be ready, but they seem to make everything fresh. Order ahead to go beforehand and take some good food home with you if you are more in a rush. The service is usually sweet, the owner if you catch her will talk to you about all the food. You can tell she is so passionate about sharing the culture. The vibe is laid back and pretty relaxing. So far my favorites are the meatballs (tons a lemongrass flavor), and the stuffed chicken legs (great size, and you can tell it's a labor of love). Also love getting the ginger green tea (comes with fresh ginger, and no sugar) iced. Very refreshing. It is a little warm inside, so prepare for that if you get overheated easily. Just something to keep in mind.
google avatar

Sabrina H.

Yelp
Authentic Cambodian food is pretty hard to come by and this place is so incredible. I sat in an hour and a half of traffic to get here and while I was grumbling on the way down, it definitely was worth the trek. The spot is takeout only, and I probably would recommend ordering online beforehand through their website. Cambodian food is a true labor of love as it is super labor and time intensive. Everything from the sauces, pastes, kroeung is made completely from scratch and just from a quick Google search on how to make Cambodian stuffed chicken wings, I am so impressed with the dedication the chef has to her craft. I ordered the combination plate which allowed me to sample a little bit of a lot of things and this is what I would recommend for anyone wanting to try! It is loaded with coconut chicken, sticky rice in banana leaves, homemade pickles; all this to say an excellent introduction to Cambodian cuisine. I also got the Noeum Banch Jhok which had this really rich savory broth and a heap of vegetables. Finally, I also got the flaky beef curry pastry which was also equally delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here and I am counting the days until I can come back! The Cambodian food is so delicious and I have not found anything else that comes close in Seattle. I cannot say enough good things about how good the food is or how kind/ generous the owner is. The owner is so patient with explaining what goes into her food and you can just really tell the love and care she has for her customers. Please come out and support this amazing establishment!

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place being that am cambodian ... but boy what a disappointment! Yelp
Our kitchen is remodeling and we eat out every day. Meanwhile, my hubby found a Cambodian food and tried first time without me. He liked the food so much that he took ordered for our dinner a week later. My impression was that the amount of meat in the combination plate was awesome and the flavor of the garnished vegetables was refreshing and good taste. Unfortunately the beef jerky was a little tough. I want to try the oxtail soup next time.

Yelp
Wow!!! The flavors were poppin'!! And Chef Theary is so kind to help explain the various options offered. The stuffed chicken wings are delicious. I'll be back to try more.

Yelp
Definitely try this lil gem. We ordered whole stuffed frog, fish with ginger + tofu beans...everything was delicious. This reminded me of street food and authentic provincial experience. The kroeng exploded flavors was a reminder of home for me. Something for everyone.

Yelp
So excited for Theary's new grand opening at Federal Way. They've been open for 7 days at this new location. We stumbled into their old location over 2 years ago and fell in love with their boneless stuffed chicken wings and homemade chili oil hot sauce. Since we live in Portland, we try to stop by when we visit Seattle but in the old location, Theary would rotate days of operation with other BIPOC restaurants and unfortunately we never synced up. With their new restaurant, the hours are more consistent and we were able to stop in today to finally purchase more chili oil and get those wings. Nicest chef/owner ever and her son rang me up. Go support this small business and taste some amazing delicious and unique food!!

Yelp
I was so sad when that Theary was no longer at Spice Bridge as it had been on my list for a while. However, I was so happy to hear that they have a takeout only location in Federal Way! I tried their combination plate, which came with the boneless stuffed chicken, coconut chicken, and 2 meatballs and the flavors were good and strong. If you like lemongrass, this is the spot for you!

Yelp
Very adorable owners, and the food was soo much more flavorful than I expected! The fresh herbs really made a huge difference, and I absolutely loved the coconut cream on the beef pastry!

Yelp
I have been waiting to try this place for a long time. Their original location was in Tukwila and now they have their own store in Federal Way. The owner was so sweet. She was telling us her mission is to bring authentic Cambodian food to the community because there aren't many Cambodian restaurants out there. We couldn't decide what to get so we just got the combination plate which gives you a taste of several foods on the menu. The plate comes with sticky rice, a fat piece of grilled chicken, 1 stuffed chicken wing, 2 meatballs, chili paste, and pickled veggies. Since it was nearing the end of the day and she had 1 pork lemongrass sausage left she gave it to us for free! The plate cost $27 but definitely feeds 2 and we had leftovers! We will definitely come back when it is fully operational and she has more food options!

Yelp
I heard a new "food court" opened up through IG foodie videos and was very eager to check it out especially this particular shop. Since it was located near SeaTac airport, it was kind of difficult to make a trip down on a random day because of traffic. And finally, there was an event down in Tacoma! A chance to check it out! It's located inside the Spice Bridge on Tukwila International Blvd in Tukwila. What a fitting road for the little food court LOL. There's a parking lot with ample parking. Because the location was small, I believe different shops alternate operation times. This particular shop was opened only Thursday-Saturday from 11am-8pm. I kept seeing the Combination Plate all over Yelp and the owner(?) also mentioned how it was their number 1 popular dish. I originally wanted to try something else because my boyfriend wanted to get food from another shop (too much food for our stomachs SAD). But I knew I wouldn't get another chance to check this place out until the far future, so why not! My boyfriend and I shared the Combination Plate. There were sooo many different things in it! Boneless stuffed wing, coconut quarter chicken, lemongrass meatball, sticky rice. Woooow the amount of food was crazy. Definitely worth the price! There was also soooo much flavors going on the plate! My taste buds were going crazy but in a delightful way LOL. The boneless wing was beautifully seasoned with sharp flavors and had vermicelli in it. I think this was probably was favorite out of everything. The meatball also had sharp flavors from the lemongrass, but I felt it was very tough... I personally don't like tough meatballs but the flavor was still outstanding! The coconut chicken was a bit on the milder side to balance all the sharp flavors. The sticky rice, MMM, balanced everything so nicely. Everything was absolutely delicious! There was also this homemade chili paste to complement with the food which gave such a nice kick to everything. I haven't had much Cambodian foods in my life but this was definitely a great experience! I kept praising the flavors of each thing to my boyfriend that he was probably getting annoyed HAHA. It is a bit on the pricier end, but I would say it's worth the price. Will be back to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Sad to say but the food for me was underwhelming. It didn't make the mark for me. I wanted to love it and drove a distance for it. The photo definitely deceiving.. I read all the reviews and had too high of a hope. I wish it tasted as good as it looked. The pricing is expensive but you get a good amount of meat in the meal. The chicken bland but very tender. The stuff chicken was just not it sadly. Very little rice didn't balance with amount of meat. The restaurant is family owned however and women owned. Which is why I gave three stars. The owner was very lovely and nice.

Yelp
Maybe I just came on a off day... been wanting to eat this again ever since having it the first time in Tukwila. Waited a while for them to move to their new location, which is finally now open. The store is pretty small, only have 1 table outside for seating. All food was premade and kept heated on a deli table. Ordering was a bit confusing, thought we were suppose to order at the register, so we stood in line waiting... Then a lady came in after us and got helped before us, leaving us standing there looking stupid. The food was still super flavorful, but it was more dry than when we first tired it... (probably cause it was sitting in the deli containers for some time?) They have a soft opening priced menu, which was $25.99 for a combo plate. It was the same price as last location. Not sure how much the price will go up by the end of their soft opening. Paid a total of $57 for 1 combo plate and 1 coconut chicken plate. Not sure if it's worth it like when I first tried it in Tukwila...
