Thee Burger Spot

Have been wanting to come & check them out. I will say ordering online is best. They do have walk in traffic & if you want to avoid wait times online is best since they dont always answer the phone if they are busy. I did order 30 min before close which means it was the end of the day & they were out of donut burgers (although itnlet me order it online 🤔) They offered a substitution & apologized. Upgraded us to a steak hogie & offered us free sodas which was great compensation. I have to say the burger & steak sandwich were a solid 8.5 very tasty & great in size. The fries left more to be desired. They were dark & soggy. Could be it was late in the day or grease was old. They are on Inwould say a 4 w/o cheese pr ketchup & a 5.5 with. I will try them out again & next time will make sure it's much earlier in the daytime. Food was definitely worth a try.

These guys are just doing everything right. They've got the right product, they've got a great attitude, and they're getting it done. The burgers are phenomenal, french fries are phenomenal, they've got unique and creative combinations that need almost no alteration. We both got "The Tangy" and loved it. The food comes out fast and hot. Love this place.

Decided to stop here on our way to the Bulls game and it was a good pick! This is a no frills place so don’t expect much from it, but it’s also very popular around town. The service was timely with their orders but there wasn’t much communication with the customers. Maybe a waitlist on the TV Screen could’ve been helpful. Moving onto the food: it has great value. A simple burger is only 8 dollars and it only goes up to 14 dollars. That’s half the price of a burger at the Stadium. The food itself is very good. I liked the freshness of the food and it’s definitely a plus, but I think the burger could’ve had a little bit more seasoning. Overall, would definitely recommend and will be back.

Tried The Burger Spot and the food absolutely delivered. We ordered the cheeseburger and the bacon cheeseburger, and both were incredibly flavorful; juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The fries were just as good, crispy on the outside and packed with flavor. Customer service was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It does get a bit warm inside since they only have fans, but this is definitely the kind of spot you come to strictly for the food. And the food is worth it. If you want one of the best burgers in Tampa, this is the place.

We have eaten from here MANY times over the years and NEVER had a bad burger. I am not sure who was in the kitchen yesterday evening but this burger was put together backwards… hence its was soggy and fell apart and was missing the signature pickle on top of bun. The meat itself was good but the burgers (ordered a double)were not the same size. One was half the size of the other. Almost makes me wonder who is running the restaurant now.

For a burger joint, fenced windows and limited parking are exactly the kind of gritty charm I like to see. THEM ONION THANGS THO?!?! Oh man. I ordered the Tangy Burger and loaded fries topped with onion thangs. While I was slightly underwhelmed by the burger due to the hype I had heard, it was still very tasty, with an authentic patty flavor and ingredients that meshed very well. The real star of the meal, though, was the loaded fries with onion thangs. Those alone are worth coming for, and adding them to the burger takes the whole experience to another level. Amazing price for what you get and a patient and funny host ready to take your order. Top 5 burgers spot for sure.

I ordered a burger and fries through Uber eats. The food arrived cold & the packaging was not secured. I was mortified that this is how they presented it to the driver. The fries were in a brown bag that was unsealed. The burger was in a Styrofoam container that was also opened and the shopping bag that it was placed in was not sealed and at the very least wasn’t even tied with a knot so I felt very unsafe to eat the food, not knowing if it was tampered with by the driver. I am appalled with this delivery. I never have seen anything so unsecurely packaged. Based on reviews many have had a great experience, mine was very unpleasant. Burger and fries for $18 definitely not worth it for my first time experience.

I visited Tampa over the weekend and I have one daughter who always has to be difficult when it comes to food - and today I'm thankful for that because we found this place! She was tired of "everything" and wanted a good burger. When I searched online this restaurant came up every time so we went. The food was amazing, the people working were so nice and seemed happy, and the food was cooked fresh and didn't really take too long. I ordered ours to go, but actually would have liked to eat there. The TV was playing old hip hop and R&B from the 80's (I'd love know what they were watching), the signs and menu showed the owners/employees sense of humor, and I felt like I was my younger self. We waited until we got back to the hotel to eat. The food was still hot, the great, and the burger was delicious. I'm very sad we don't have one here. If you're in Tampa check them out.

Super quick service. Got the loaded cheese fries with bacon and ranch. Those were pretty hearty and I could feel the arteries screaming but worth the bite! Unfortunately just got a regular cheeseburger and it was awful. Way too much mayo and the patty was soggy. Tasted like meatloaf and not a burger patty. Overall, I took a bite then tossed and ate the fries. I was excited since Apple Maps shows it as a 4.5 stars but it really didn't hit for me.

Good food AND service ! My family and I love to eat here. We have tried several of the burgers here and love them ALL ! There is indoor seating but it is minimal. I wouldn't call this place a "hidden" gem as it is quite easy to find if you're looking dole a great meal and exceptional service. We will definitely be back !

Great quality burger, great was t family restaurant and has some very unique options. The tangy burger was a delight look forward to catching Ming back and trying other items in the menu.

The burgers here are very special. I always enjoy the burgers they are very tasty. The fries are delicious as well. I had the red velvet cake and it was ok, nice and moist. But the real winners are the burgers. Go get you one. You won't regret it. The service is always friendly. It's a small burger joint with just the right number of options. I'm satisfied with the amount of fries served per order. I wish they came together but nonetheless I will usually always choose a burger from here over other places. Not a bunch of seating but you can dine inside. They also have a burger eating challenge. I'm always tempted to try but I don't think I can handle it. Great burger spot!

The burgers are SEASONED!!! Not just a wad of pressed bland meat that you get at ALL other burger places. The various styles of burgers ROCK!!! You see all races of people at this spot.. so YOU KNOW IT IS GOOD. Everyone and their Mothers love a good burger.

Went for lunch on yelps review of a cheap burger place. Easy to find. Ordering was a bit confusing as there was both a self order table and a regular register taking orders. The self order was not very clear so just order at the counter. Got the Bog Smack add bacon and Thee Onion Thanks. Everything was prepared quickly and was excellent. Burger was cooked well but still juicy and flavorful. Onion Thangs were excellent. Get a side of smack sauce for them.

I came here with a few co workers for lunch. I saw it in the side of the road while driving to work and figured it would be a nice spot to try out, especially since I'm a big burger fan. I ordered the double cheese burger. Once I opened my container I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it is. Although, I would have liked a bit more seasoning on my burger, it was juicy and a good balance of beef, cheese and other toppings. If you're looking something unique, they also have a pizza burger, a super spicy burger, a Bbq burger, all sorts of burgers. I'm curious to see how the pizza burger tastes like. Most likely going to order that one next. The ambience is not well maintained. It's dirty, with dust a over the place. It makes me think how clean the kitchen actually is. This would be my only con. Overall the service is fast and the burger was tasty.

Every time I visit I am greeted with great service. It is personal and genuine. The food itself is delicious. One of the best burgers you will get in the Tampa Area. This spot also has plenty of unique and delicious burger options to chose from. They also do not skimp out on the portions. Thee Burger Spot is your classic hole in the wall burger joint. The neighborhood is a little dicey, but that shouldn't stop you from coming because the food here is delicious. We went at like 3 pm on a weekday, and this place was still packed - seems like everyone was a local too. You walk up to a window inside to order, and there's a few tables in the restaurant for eating at. I ate inside, but it seems like most people take their orders to go. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and got a peach mango drink. The bacon cheeseburger was amazing - nice crispy bacon, good juicy burger, and perfectly seasoned. It was no frills, but it was done just right. The fries were good too - although I ordered just 1 to share with someone because the lady at the register said they were big - don't do what I did! Definitely order one for each person there otherwise you'll be left a little disappointed. The peach mango drink was super tasty, it came pretty much frozen in an unlabeled container so you knew it was about to be amazing. I slowly drank some of it while I was sitting there, but since it was still mostly frozen, I took the rest home and enjoyed it while laying on the beach. It was super sweet, just how I like it.

Opened burger and a roach flew out of the box. I legit dont know what to say... they looked good but no way in this world am I eating it. I ate here before and loved it but I will not be back. Obviously don't care if close roaches in the boxes :(

The food was really good. I had the tangy burger, the sauce that they put on the tangy burger is what great-saucy burgers are made of yum yum, lol.... The person taking our order was patient and kind. Love the R&B jams playing while we waited for our order to be done. It was a whole vibe, connecting through food and music.

The donut burger is IIITTTT omg was so juicy and seasoned and with the sweetness from the donut I was in heaven. Ill definitely be back for more!!!

Very very good... tried a bacon cheeseburger for my first time... it was also free French fries that day....one suggestion, offer gluten free buns... have some family who would eat their if they offered them..just saying! Keep up the good work!

Our first visit. We had the big smack, the heated one, the glazed burger, the grouper sandwich, the double cheeseburger, the regular fries and the steak fries. They were out of desserts. I personally had the big smack (minus pickles, plus tomato) and I loved it. I tried the grouper sandwich and I enjoyed that too. My son had the Heated One and didn't think it was spicy at all but it was good.

I used to love this place - their burgers were terrific. Now... not so much. Seems like the burgers have some weird filler. My order of a rare burger showed no red meat - just gray, yuck. Wifey's burger was burned. BURNED. Waaaaay overcooked. Another great burger place takes a dump. Pretty sure this was our last visit.

First timer here! And I was so happy I stopped by! I can understand why they were voted best burger in the area in 2020. The food that we ordered was great, customer service was great, and the price is decent! I ordered to go 2 burgers and 2 fries. The tangy bbq burger and the double bacon burger, along with 2 orders of steak fries! Unfortunately they did not have the chicken shyt fries on this visit, but hopefully we can get next time. Parking was plentiful and the restaurant was easy to find. I walk in and it's a cozy burger restaurant. I was immediately greeted and was able to quickly order. I received my food relatively quickly, which was great! While I was waiting for my order I enjoyed listening to the 80's-90's R&B and pop that they were playing. Customers seemed happy to be there. And the staff seemed to be in great spirits! Loved to see that! When I received my order I couldn't wait to dig in! It was difficult to try and wait until I got home to eat this! My husband's burger looked AMAZING! Double Pattie's that were super thick! He commented on how great the bacon tasted! My tangy bbq burger definitely had a nice smoky tang to it! Which I love! The thick patty and crisp bacon with crunchy fried onion made this a must have burger! I didn't want it to end, wish I'd gotten two (even though I was incredibly full I still wanted more). The steak fries were an awesome treat! Creamy sauces, nice amount of thick crinkle fries, and topped with a thick amount of thinly sliced steak! I quickly devoured this! Everything was very tasty and decently priced! The atmosphere was very positive and it was easy to find this spot. I recommend this spot.

I went once with my kids after a Bucs game and would gladly go back if I were on the right side of town. The service was super friendly and hospitable. The burgers were out of this world. They tasted amazing and they were huge. I left completely satisfied.

Food was on point. Both price point and taste point. Service was fast and location was super local. Had the local kids hanging out and people that obviously live in the area. This is far from your average chain Restaurant. It gets loud with all the people but if your looking for a quick burger fix this is the spot.

My friend was complaining last week that there were no good burgers in the Tampa Bay Area. I made it my goal to change her mind, so we went to one of my favorites, Thee Burger Spot. Needless to say, she was extremely pleased. If you have not stopped by this amazing joint, you are MISSING OUT. The whole experience is five stars from start to finish. I love that the staff is ALWAYS SO FRIENDLY when you walk in. We walked in an hour until closing and the gentlemen behind the counter never stopped smiling and were so pleasant to deal with. The food here is not only DELICIOUS but also a great value! I have had several of their burgers and just recently, their Steak and Cheese and everything was outstanding. Added bonus: all their menu items are quite affordable at $10 or less. What is there not to love about this place?! One of my favorite things about Thee Burger Spot is that they always playing videos from the 80s. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am still living in the 80s. When I asked the gentleman behind the counter who was the 80s lover, he merely answered, "That's our vibe here." It's a damn good thing I don't live close and they don't have a karoke machine otherwise, I would NEVER leave. Every time I have dined at Thee Burger Spot, I have found the restaurant to be clean. However, there is minimal parking and seating inside the restaurant. There are also a few picnic benches located outside. Be aware that this place is usually crowded and closes at 6 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. Thank you to Thee Burger Spot for your phenomenal food and always making me smile.

Leave all pretension at the door! This neighborhood joint is down to earth, silly, relaxed and all about good burgers! Food: I had Thee Burger, Thee Cheeseburger, Onion "Thangs" and French Fries. The burgers were yummy, juicy and very filling. I loved the raw onion and cooked onion mix inside. The onion thangs were tasty but I wouldn't buy again as I wish they had more breading! The French fries were pretty average, but for a quick bite on a busy day I can't complain! Drink: Try their sweet fruit juices (Thee Frozen Joes). The Pineapple Express hit the spot after a salty meal! They also carry Coke and Pepsi products. Price: What can I say, it's a great price for cheap yummy eats. You're not paying for atmosphere here - just great food! Most burgers are under $8 and the sides were around $3. Atmosphere: It's mad quirky. Family-owned, there are laminated photos of their burgers and guests all over the walls! A TV was playing old R&B music videos inside. There's a bit of seating inside and also some benches in the parking lot. It was really busy when I went (around 4:00 PM on a weekday) and that speaks to how dope the burgers are. Parking: Big lot, on a busy street. Drive safe! Things to know: They've won a lot of awards from the community (Best of The Bay, Creative Loafing). It's a small business and it's great to know that when I buy here, the money is going right back into the community! There's also a challenge (giant burger and fries for $20). If you finish it in 15 minutes, you get 5 future meals for free... Best of luck!

Great burgers! We try to find a local place when we travel. Fam was starving after a long trip. Found this place on Yelp and it didn't disappoint.

Yummmmm burger and fries! Got the regular burger no cheese and it is perfect! FYai free fries on Wednesday! Place was busy small eat in and outside seating area. More than just burgers and some unique burger options that I haven't tried. Love their signs ;)

Drove from downtown Tampa and arrived at 5:29 pm. Standing in line for almost five minutes one of the guys behind the counter tells us "Sorry, we have run out of hamburger patties". Granted hamburgers are virtually 100% of what they offer and it's now 25 minutes BEFORE they officially close. There is no way a hamburger place runs out of them unless it's so poorly run, so to officially close a 'walk-up' restaurant almost 30 minutes prior to posted hours is a very poor manner of doing business. We will never return to this establishment again....

Burgers were excellent! Pineapple Express drink is liquid diabetes but damn it's good.

Not fast food but the food come as soon as it can!!! This was the best damn burger I've had in a while!! The menu is creative and limited not to overwhelm it's just enough!! My party of 4 ate in and ordered 3 orders of cheese steak fries. We will definitely come Back and I highly recommend people try it!!

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Tampa. I live an hour away but I use to stop by often when working in the area. Beef is grounded daily so it's fresh. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It's a small local place where the best burgers are made. The choices are amazing. My double bacon cheese burger was thick and juicy. The onion thangs are so good on the burger we got extra. Fries and crinkle cut and they have spices to kick it up. They make every burger you can imagine. There is even a donut burger. There are a few tables inside and the Togo orders are about 50%. Some of the buccaneers eat here because they know where the beef is !

My all time favorite burger spot! So far, we've gotten the glazed one, pizza burger, big smack, heated one, and loved all of them. My personal favorite is the big smack, it's very simple but absolutely delicious, plus the onion rings give it an amazing crunch and texture. If you come on a friday or saturday, definitely get the glazed one-- it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. I also appreciate that unlike most "good" burger places like shake shack and in-n-out, their fries are actually good?? I always have to get either their cheese or steak fries every time I come here. Please check this place out for some quirky but super well made burgers!

I thought I wrote a review about this place, I guess I forgot lol. No time like the present This Place is a Must!!! The burgers are so good forgot what I got last time, pictures popped up as I'm writing this. This time I got the bacon cheese burger soo good, I like how they put fried onions on their burgers makes it so much better. I got the steak fries omg they were soooo good they were my favorite! I recommend trying the steak fries, they have other options for fries too, but you won't regret the steak fries!

Very very good burgers highly recommend this place!!!!!! Service was fast and portions were huge. You could also tell the hamburger was real and burgers were juicy. Definitely go as a tourist.

Not a lot of seating inside, 4 tables and ever order is made to go. The cheeseburger ($7) comes with lettuce onion and tomato as well as onion rings on it! I asked for no onions as usual and for science I asked for the onion rings on the side but I imagine it would add a really good crunch. I love that the lettuce and tomato are under the patty so it absorbs all the burger juices. All patties are a quarter pound. And they have a really good flavor and texture. The bun wasn't my favorite. The flavor was fine but it wasn't toasted. Veggies were good but kinda skimped on the lettuce. On Wednesdays, fries come on the side for free. The fries ($1.75) Had a variety of crispy and crispy+potatoey. Kinda bland but they do provide seasoning at the shop, I just didn't add any. The gourmet burgers look so good, there's a Krispy Kreme one but I think I'd really wanna go back for tangy bbq bacon. I took my order to go so I didn't notice till after that they also have a dessert menu!- peach cobbler, sweet potato pie, cake and cheesecake

Was in the mood for a burger and this seemed like one of the best stops. It's a very popular place and only has about seating for 20ish in the inside. They had a friendly staff and my order took about 10 minutes. The Glazed 1 was an indulgence and was great. They leave seasoning salts on a table to season your fries how you like it. The drink was absolutely delicious, a nice slushee for a hot summer day. Overall a good experience and I will definitely be back to try the other drinks and burgers.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM HERE!!! Not only did they cancel my order because THEY were taking to long to prepare it, but they told my driver that they wouldn't make it either. This was my first time using and I didn't even try the food but don't waste you time on here

I ate there a few years ago and left a review. Subpar food of course. Needless to say the review disappeared. If you're in the neighborhood for a good burger drive over to the Nebraska Mini Mart. Best burger I've had in decades.

This place has got it going on! It's earned it's name as THEE Burger Spot! The flavor of their burgers is legit! I've been there twice so far. Both times, I got the cheeseburger and their loaded fries... and both times, the quality was consistently delicious! The meat on the burgers is seasoned to perfection and with the addition of crispy onion straws, their burger stands out as one of the best in town. Plus, they are priced just right making this spot a must visit for burger lovers. Now on to the loaded fries... they add a cheese sauce, a white sauce that must be something like ranch, and crispy bacon bits. They taste SO good, I have to get them every time. I add old bay to them and I just can't get enough of them. You cannot call ahead to place an order, you have to go there in person. The spot is super small and there is always a line of people. But while you wait, they're playing all the best 90s music videos on their TV so you get to reminisce with all your favorite jamz from back in the day while your food is made to order. Don't let the look of the place deter you from checking them out when you're in the mood for a great burger. You won't be disappointed.

i really enjoyed my food and the onion rings are amazing but this place was a one and done for me, the interior is very beat up and not comfortable but service was friendly and everything was served hot, i'd recommend certain friends check it out but give them fair warning about the place itself

Listen Friends! Random people have said this is the Best , Best of the Best Burger spot. I'm like I heard that a plethora of time. I didn't take the bait because I don't eat beef or beef with people However I was in the neighborhood and said let me go get my favorite girl(Mom)one of these hype about best burgers and I'll eat the fries. I was surprised to see grouper on the menu, I kindly ordered myself the grouper sandwich. That grouper sandwich melt in my mouth, it was fresh, scrumptious, and it did flips on my palate, it was the best I've ever had. That grouper sandwich had me doing a happy dance. Great customer service. Mom said the burger is all the hype and she's pick.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE. NO air conditioning. Dirty dining room. And the burgers taste like the burgers they used to serve you in elementary school. Mystery meat nastiness. Oh and if you decide to make a mistake by going here, call them first. Because their hours are unpredictable. They close down for a week at Thanksgiving, shit like that.

The burgers are amazing, the fries were just ok. The service is good and the price is very good for the burger you get. I would highly recommend this establishment.

This spot is Convenient. The service was quick . The atmosphere tells me it predominantly ran or owned by men. Fries cooked perfectly(which is very important) but you have to season yourself. I give this place a 10/10.

The food is excellent!! Great prices! Ordered from Uber eats and even with burger sitting for 45 minutes was fresh and delicious.

I am reviewing this place after pandemic , and i gotta say, very impressed, it has not really changed, still really really good food, very pleasant folks, and in this overpriced times, they have managed to keep prices affordable, very consistent! Old Tampa 4 sure and thats a good thing as i have seen places come and go!!

This place is always on point, I ended up picking up a doordash from here once and now me and my son eat here every Friday! Burger is definitely fire the fries could use some seasoning though, but I just add the salt an pepper to bag and it turns out good! Overall, top tier burger spot!!

Burgers were so good! HUGE! I got the Heat and it was perfect. No overbearing spice that you can't taste the incredible flavor. Burger was thick and juicy. Bacon was crispy and so good. I picked this place for lunch after looking at YELP reviews. So glad I trusted the community and went! Skip on the other fast food chains and eat here. You won't regret it! Definitely will be back!
