Neapolitan-style sourdough pizzas from a wood-fired oven in space that’s filled with light.
"Restaurant gardens—especially leafy ones—are fairly special spots in London. Which is why Theo’s, with its saucy Neapolitan pizza and Camberwell green space, is foolproof. Come for strong drinks and the finest homemade chilli sauce in the garden or on the pavement out front." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Every neighbourhood has restaurants that locals get a little doe-eyed and soft about, and Theo’s makes the list for the lucky folks who live around SE1 or SE5. Their Camberwell original, with its little garden out back, white marble-ish interior, lunchtime panuozzos, and £9 cocktails, is still the proverbial One for us. And the Neapolitan pizzas never disappoint, especially with their essential homemade chilli oil. The tiramisu for pud ain’t too shabby either." - rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna
"The other day you caught them humming Truly Madly Deeply in the shower. Coincidence? You think not. And seeing as Savage Garden usually plays in our heads when we’re eating the bufalina pizza at Theo’s, it makes sense that this Camberwell spot would be in this guide. As well as big booths, negronis, and a ride-or-die chilli sauce on every table, this place has the kind of romantic charm that creeps up on you between mouthfuls of margherita. You might not want to stand with them on a mountain, or bathe with them in the sea just yet, but sharing pizza here is one of our favourite date nights in this city." - heidi lauth beasley
"Theo’s in Elephant & Castle makes some of London’s chewiest, sauciest, most-chilli-sauce-suited Neapolitan-style pizza in London, and they’re doing local delivery. Call 0203 026 6540 Wednesday-Sunday, or drop an email to info@theoscamberwell.com." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Theo’s is a restaurant that fuels jealousy before sating it. Walk past this Camberwell pizzeria at lunchtime and you’ll see a white, bright, and marble-tabled room with a smattering of serene-looking diners. Out back, things get even better, with a tucked-away garden that has big parasols and big spritz-in-the-sun potential. Order one of the Neapolitan pizzas dripping in chilli oil, follow with an ice cream panuozzo, and if the sun is shining, a rosé for the road just makes sense.
