I had heard the hype about this place and I was so excited to finally get the chance to try it last night. I hate when I heard rave reviews for a place and it's a let down once I try it. Thankfully, this was not the case. There There deserves the highest praise and then some. I unfortunately wasn't able to get a photo of the food before inhaling it, but trust me, it's worth the trip.
Everyone who worked there was super friendly. I ordered the Dream Burger and Salt Potatoes to go. One thing about me is I love ketchup obsessively (controversial, I know). I can't tell you the last time I had a burger that I felt didn't need ketchup on it, but the dream burger was a dream without it. That's when you know it's fantastic.
The salt potatoes, a central/upstate New York staple (correct me if I'm wrong, that's just what my coworker from Albany told me), were delicious and had the perfect little kick. I understand why they're popular in NY. I'm usually more of a French fry gal over baked potato, but these might have been better than fries. Full disclosure: I did not try the fries at There There, but plan to when I go to try the rest of their menu. Also, the salt potatoes aren't baked potatoes, but similarly to baked potatoes they do have the skin still on them and they're much smaller than baked potatoes.
The place is small, yet comfortable and clean. I went right after work and got the food to go so there wasn't a long line or anything. There was a family with young kids enjoying their food at one of the booths. I'm not sure how busy it gets at peak times, as one would assume it would be easy to fill up that place based on how amazing the food is. The food came out fast enough though so I wouldn't be too worried about waiting during the dinner rush, plus it was definitely worth the wait.
Also, they just started serving breakfast so I'm so excited to try that.
