I had a better experience at this Harper Woods location. The bartender serviced us well and the food was great.

I had a fantastic experience at They Say in Harper Woods. Our waitress was exceptional, providing excellent service throughout. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. The turkey chops were remarkably flavorful and meaty, and the Cajun Alfredo pasta was zesty and cooked to perfection. A highly recommended spot for a satisfying dining experience.

I was tempted to give this place just one star, but the friendly and attentive staff earned it an extra star. Everyone we interacted with was kind and checked on us often, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Out of six dishes at our table, two had hair in them, and the rest were served barely warm instead of hot. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I was not pleased with service at bar. She was very rude to me from the time I walked in. I ask for a glass of water, she gave it to my friend and never gave it to me. I asked for ice in glass brought me a picture of water and said get it out of there. I ordered lamb chops. I had them to send them back. One of my friends ask for a to go she gave her the stank eye. We all confirmed it that we all saw it. I have no time for rude service people.

The food was great! I recommend the lamb chops, greens, & macaroni & cheese. You will love it. I hadn’t been there in 2 years, but the food, live music, and ambiance was really nice. If I may say, the waitress could work on being a bit more friendly. She wasn’t bad just indifferent & a little slow. Don’t get me wrong though, the food made up for that.

It took a minute to get our food this visit but food was on point. The drinks were good. The dj was jamming and the atmosphere was a vibe.

Ordered the Cajun “Alfredo” Fettuccine Pasta w/ Shrimp. It came with 4 pieces of Shrimp. 1 of the 4 pieces of shrimp is pictured below. The sauce is extremely thick! This is the thickest Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had. It seems more like cheese than Alfredo sauce. The dinner roll would’ve been okay had they not put those Parmesan crumbles on it. The Parmesan crumble was an another no. The string like pieces in the second photo came off the sides of the shrimp. Whatever it was it couldn’t be chewed. Paid $20 or $21 total. Portions are light. The first thing I said to myself when I got the bag was how lightweight it felt. First time and I probably won’t go back unfortunately.

The food was amazing! Got the Jazz Burger and a side cup of the They Say Sauce... Burger appears 5 star, and tases just as good. French fries seem beer battered and don't need any sauce, though their BBQ sauce makes them smack even more! I will definitely be returning. Staff is friendly, food was perfect, food preparation was super speedy, and the inside looks spectacular for a good date night! Only complaint was that my burger was rang up as the more expensive burger... But with the quality I'm gonna let it slide! Keep up the great work!

Food is great here. I'm not the biggest chicken eater but I go here just for their wings. Half of the hype is the sauce, it's great! The mood of the restaurant is very mixed. You can sit at tables and chill with your group or sit at the bar and have fun with total strangers. A few tvs will even have the game on if you want to watch. The staff are usually always attentive. The only con is that you will get annoyed by the occasional gnat as with lots of bars.

My catfish bites were good. The guy George brought me 4 different bills claiming that he charges the lady my bill n charges me hers saying that they were the same which was 46.00/44.00 dollar then bring a bill for 82.00 when i review the bill he states the same thing now I'm confuse how the hell do a bill goes form 46.00 to 82.00 dollars. Catfish bites were 13.00, don tequila shot 14.00, drink on menu show 10.00 he tried to charge me 12.00 and the other drink was supposed to b 5.00 charges me 10.00 to 8.00 then final l7.00. Shit let it makes since GEORGE the bill is the same just that our bill was a few dollars cheaper. once i kept looking over the bill my bill went from 86.00 to 67.00 and all he kept say was its the same bill. when question about the charge for a drink on menu shows 10.00, he wants to charge me 12.00 by telling me that's an old menu but couldn't show it on a current menu. if you go there check your bill and your prices because George is full of SHIT and wants more money than what you order. i left there with saying shit George let it make sense need my own original bill not someone else. i will not return to that one ever again

I live right across the street from they say and this was my first time ever eating there lol. I was not disappointed at all though. The music was good, they had the games on the TVs and the waitresses were nice and patient with us. I ordered a what a peach for a drink which is made with Hennessy black and SUPER strong. I also ordered the they say wings with their special they say bbq sauce and a side of macaroni and greens. The wings and the sauce was delicious. I don't usually eat all 10 wings but I ate all 10 wings lol the macaroni and cheese scared me a first because it looked like all the cheese was at the top and it was just melted shredded cheese but it turned out pretty good. The greens smelled better than they tasted. They were just a little bland but some pepper and hot sauce in it will do it justice lol. My friend had got some chicken quesadillas with bbq fries and macaroni and cheese. He said the chicken quesadillas were slapping and the bbq fries were pretty good. We ended the meals off with carrot cake and bread pudding both delicious

I don't know why we have waited so long to try this place. On a recommendation from the former Phil Cokes brain on twitter who said they have the best wings we stopped in for dinner. Wings were ah mazing!! Hubs and kids ate the whole order as an app. Kids got the flatbread pizzas. I got the salmon which had the most amazing chili sauce and hubs got the lamb chops. The food was out of this world. Everything was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back. Word needs to get out about this gem!!

Catfish under season, Steak was sweet and overcooked. Service is bad. I would recommend not going here. And it's cold in there. It took 45 mins for the check. DO NOT GO HERE. Nobody takes it seriously. Really bad.

The chicken wings are delicious,and cooked perfectly.the service was excellent. It is really chill and quiet.I came back 2 days after my first visit for more.I highly recommend They Say.

Very nice Restaurant, food was very tasty, service was good and I loved the hospitality.

They just opened back up and unfortunately the food is still dry and taste like it's a day old (Harper Woods location) Not sure what's going on with the cooks but doesn't seem to be getting better! I had high hopes for them!

The service was great. I went early when they first opened up. It was clean, tvs throughout, and good music. I ordered the wings for my husband and chicken Alfredo for myself. My husbands wings were great! My Alfredo however was a bit too cheesy. It completely over powered the dish. The chicken was also very dry. We also ordered potato skins. They were way better then the Alfredo.

I tried calling in an order on August 8, 2023 to no avail; no one answered their phone. Since I don't live too far I decided to go up there and place a to go order. I tried calling again twice from my car still no one answered. I pulled up and walked into the restaurant and my ears was assaulted by blaring music, seriously it was loud. There was a DJ in there and I walked to the back to the carry out sign to place my order. I stood there and no one appeared, wait staff would look at me as they were going to the kitchen but no one ever came to ask for my order. I noticed the phone ringing but you couldn't hear it at all because of the extremely loud music. I went to stand to where I could see the cooks and an older gentleman back there must have alerted someone that I was there because after 7 minutes of standing there, a very pleasant lady came and took my order. I ordered wings, steak bites, side of mashed potatoes and chocolate cake. I got my food in about 10 minutes thanked her and left, ears pounding from that too loud music. Got home and I was terribly disappointed! The wings were clearly OLD, covered up in bbq sauce, when I bit into a few pieces there was that hardness that sets in when chicken is cold/old. The mashed potatoes had ZERO seasoning they were so bland! I was like WTF? Why would they serve food to paying customers that they wouldn't eat?? The steak bites were BLAH...I was kinda mad that I spent almost $50 bucks on food and those wing's especially were terrible. I threw away 6 of the 10 along with the potatoes and steak. The cake was decent. Shame on you They Say

The bartender was not customer friendly, very dry. I ordered a glass of wine something was stuck in the inside of the glass, he gave me another glass. I ordered my food and my food came out Luke warm not hot warm. Very disappointed

I took my mother-in-law to this restaurant and we had an amazing time. The server whose name was India was very friendly and very attentive to us throughout the night. The food was amazing I can go on forever about how great the wings are. I ordered the "they say burger" which was really really good. And for my appetizer I had a mixture of mozzarella sticks potato skins and more wings. I would definitely come back to this restaurant when I come back into town I highly recommend it and their service made me feel right at home.

My sister and I were visiting from out of state and looking for a decent restaurant to have lunch and a search brought us to this restaurant..... the Harper Woods location.We actually arrived after the lunch crowd so there weren't a lot of people there. It is a REALLY nice spot! Modern, clean, clean restrooms. I ordered the jumbo shrimp and my sister had the fried catfish...both were DELICIOUS! The food was steaming hot and well seasoned. I highly recommend They Say, and will be coming back again myself.

Upscale Dive Bar! Enjoyed the music, loved the top shelf Tequila choices! Went on Taco Tuesday and had the chicken taco, it was cool. Also took home an order of lamb chops and it wasn't a bad meal, chops were just overcooked and not juicy but the flavors were good.

Came to Detroit to just get away for a minute...came to thus restaurant last night. One thing I can say is that they follow Covid protocol strictly which made us feel safer. Even going as far to break up a table that had took it upon them selves to push chairs together. Our waitress was awesome. I ordered the lamb chops with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. They were out of a few things but I have come to expect that with Covid. The food was okay. Ypu could tell the mashed potatoes weren't real potatoes and there was no garlic to be found. The lamb was cooked perfectly but lacked salt. To be honest everything lacked salt. But I was hungry so I just did what I needed to do to make it flavorful. My son had the chicken tenders and I tasted those which were DELICIOUS! And the chicken wings were amazing also. They sell sweet potato fries and those were good to. I would recommend this place....just don't order the lamb chops.

If I could have given half a star I would have. I am SO disappointed in the service, the food and the atmosphere at this location. My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a really long time and decided we'd try the 8 mile location to avoid the crowd. HUGE MISTAKE. The young lady that greeted and seated us was CLEARLY overworked trying her best to take care of everyone, while we spotted at least 3 other servers sitting down and acting as if they were the only people in the restaurant. Once we were seated we waited 25 minutes before another young lady came and greeted us with "y'all ready to order" as she leaned on the back of the booth where we were sitting. Wow! We ordered the They Say Trio, Catfish Bites and an additional order of wings. The food came relatively quickly but soon we saw why. The quesadilla in the trio was greasy and managed to be lukewarm at the same time. The plain chicken wings (which we got a double portion of since there were no potato skins) were pretty good but some of them looked freshly cooked while the others looked like they'd been reheated. The Catfish bites were forgettable but at least a bit more palatable than the quesadilla. After tasting everything, and enduring the blaring music for long enough, we requested boxes and the bill. Now we are headed to Chili's of all places to get the drink we WEREN'T offered at They Say. Writing this makes me so sad but if we continue to accept mediocre we won't ever get better.

My Dad and I had dinner for the first @ They Say; nice, clean; waitress was professionally nice ...

Had a party there last night, Terry in all honesty you should fire the cook from last night!! Pasta was terrible, fried pork chop burnt and cooked in burnt grease, catfish nuggets cooked in same grease. The salmon was ok undercooked though and the grilled turkey chops where ok!! I didn't make a stink about it bill was 124.00 and I still tip the waitress because she was extremely nice! Your quality of food was not worth 124.00 and I patronize your business!! They had me wait 30 minutes for a table just to sit me down for 15 minutes before I got a waiter. The waiter comes over and say you can only order appetizer. She talked to someone after I complained as we began to order they were out of almost everything Romaine Lettuce, Ribs and Corn Beef. Terrible service. It's sad that you lost out on a party of 12. We will never return.

The waitress was absolutely horrible instead of taking our order she was in the booth next us texting whomever. She kept disappearing. Also when we were finally able to order our food, by the time it made it to our table it was cold. The lamb chops were still raw, the rice and mashed potatoes were ice cold. Definitely will not be back.

this resturant was not compliant with covid regulations. my husband and i went on sunday afternoon. the food was frozen. no employee wore their mask properly. every employee wore there mask either on their chin or under their nose. they had regular unsanitized menus, people were allowed to come in with no face mask! i will never go to that one again. i'll go downtown.
