By far the best Detroit Style pizza I’ve had in the southwest! May also be some of the best pizza that I’ve had in general. The 505 Food Hall has some great options but you can’t pass up Thicc. The crust is amazing. Throw some honey hot sauce and this outstanding. It is truly difficult to pick a favorite.

Google
Would you like a Mystery box? Your choices are good. The pizza is good, but being from Detroit, I’ve never had to pay for the sauce to be on my pizza top…. I recommend including a standard Detroit pizza when you pay for one… which should include sauce. Pretty soon it’ll be extra for the cheese and the crust. Even though I ordered through their website, they still could not make the correct order. If someone orders ranch, please give them ranch. If someone orders breadsticks give them breadsticks not cheese sticks. I did not order the mystery box online.

Stopped by on a Friday evening and had no problem getting a seat in the food hall at around 530 or so. We ordered the Detroit pizza with pepperoni. (Now I will say I am a bit snobbish about Detroit pizza as I am originally from Michigan and I have probably eaten at the original Buddy’s pizza in Detroit on Conant at least a dozen times). Overall, it was one of the best pizzas I have had in Albuquerque. The crust was nice and sauce flavorful. It had a little more cheese than I am used to but I guess the more the merrier. Pizza came out in around 15 minutes so not too long a wait. Nice stop.

I have got to say that my last "deep dish" pizza experience was Little Ceasars. This was well beyond that in flavor, quality and texture. My wife and I split "The 8 Mile" pizza. The sauce was wonderfully flavorful, the crust was beautifully golden on the bottom and cooked through, the flavor and texture of both the mozzarella and the pepperoni were fantastic. The addition of the fresh grated parm, fresh basil, extra sauce and ricotta dollops were definitely a plus. I am a fan of salt so I personally finished the pizza with a little salt and spent the extra $1 for a side of sauce. The cheese crust that forms on the edge when baking was magical: perfectly crispy with an edge if a nutty flavor. It certainly did not taste burnt. Will order again! Note: the server said he is not personally a big sauce fan and prefers cheesy. He said his go to is the Rita. Maybe next time (with extra sauce).

This was my first time ever visiting New Mexico. I was here celebrating a friends 30th birthday. The Pizza was Authentic Detroit style pizza. I’m originally from there. The wait was a little long because they were backed up. I would say it’s definitely worth it. I ordered the 8 mile.

We Love Thicc- we typically go to the 505 Food Hall downtown- A bit disappointed with The Block location - just not the same

Google
One of my Top 5 pizza spots here in Albuquerque. The pizza is baked fresh and takes some time. If you are in a rush order ahead. Great place to stop by in the 505 Food Hall. Pizza was great. Pepperoni was crispy but not burnt and the crust brought the slice together.

Google
The team is so nice, and their pizza is SO good! This is the pizza I remember from living in pre-gentrified Williamsburg, Brooklyn as a young Dutch team. Equally important; when you ask for pepper flakes they give you a lot! And even thought of giving me ample napkins for my take out order. I've had the Detroit Style cheese and pepperoni last year which was great, this time just cheese. What really sets apart Thicc's is the fresh basil and the generous amount on their pizza. Delicious, reasonably priced and tastes like made with TLC. Enjoy!

Yelp
Ummmm what rock have I been under!!! We went to the location at the Block, but I am sure the quality is the same. The location at the Block is small, but very friendly and cozy. The employees were very nice! Unfortunately they were out of the pizza my boyfriend wanted, but he was very happy with the Supreme! I ordered the Notorius P.I.G. Now I should have started with I am not a huge fan of a deep dish pizza. Chicago pizza pie is not my thing, but I had not heard of Detroit Style before. Apparently it is the same as Chicago but with dough crust instead of pie crust. BOMB!! FIRE!!! FANTASTIC!! The pizza is big enough to share with one other, but we ordered two so we could have some for lunch the next day. We will absolutely be back!!!

Yelp
Pizza was excellent Detroit style with fresh toppings Service was nice and pleasant Not much ambiance being it is located in a food court

Yelp
Lunch creeps in pretty quickly in the day. And, being in the South Valley really doesn't leave me with much options. But downtown is a close enough jaunt, and somewhat remembered from time to time. This time, pizza was on the mind! A show of hands and Thicc Pizza it was! Well aware of time being an issue, I placed the order before leaving the office. The Notorious P.I.G. made the cut, along with a greek salad, cheese stixx and a side of ranch. Low and behold, my order was done within minutes of arriving to the 505 Food Hall! Whoot! I picked up my order and was informed that they were out of ranch and they sent me on my way. I walked to our table, and realized that, I paid for the ranch, but was not offered something in its place! So, I went back and managed to get a marinara sauce in exchange. Okay, that'll work. We opened up the boxes to dig in. Cheese stixx looked great and cheesy, salad was full with a good ratio of veggies, but very large pieces of lettuce. It was hard to eat. The star of the show, looked great! I was just shocked by the shrinkage in the whole pie itself! My last visit to Thicc, my pizza touched all four sides of the box. This one, had a good almost 1inch and half space on all four sides. Now the pie itself, was tasty. The crunchy edges, and the heavy toppings, including many of those extra crunchy, almost on the edge of being burnt roni cups, were all present! The Notorious P.I.G.is a 10/10. Thicc Pizza is where its at when you want that deep dish, chicago-style, crunchy edged, fully loaded pie. Come get it.

Yelp
This pizza was really good, loved the crispy edges and the soft dough! The flavors were also pretty darn good. Had never tried a Detroit style pizza but will now be back to try something new next time! Service was great and the food was made quickly!

Yelp
I'm in town for work for a couple days from Michigan. Detroit style pizza is my absolute fave and this place delivered! I was still on eastern time so I went for dinner at 3pm- the food hall was empty but the food was awesome! I had a Greek salad, 8 miler topped with sauce and this homemade ranch. It was 10/10

Yelp
This pizza is very good and unique. I don't think I'd ever had real Detroit style pizza before, which I'm told is what this is. It's thick square slices with delicious crispy browned edges. The pizza has lots of flavor, good shaved parmesan, and a good variety and combination of vegetarian toppings. It's very filling and satisfying. The ambience in 505 Food Hall is just ok, but the outside patio is ok, or just take to go.

Yelp
The pizza place is located in a fast food court. The seating area is shared amongst several other restaurants. The pizza was good, $20 for a pizza. It is able to feed two people or one hungry person with a larger appetite. The pizza itself had lots of red sauce which I liked. It is a very THICC pizza bread. Where I'm from it is called a pan pizza (California). The edges of our pizza were burnt as seen in the photos. Likely necessary to ensure all that bread is fully cooked. Pizza took about 35 minutes ish give or take 5 minutes to be prepared after we ordered. We were quoted 20 and the extra few minutes was not an issue for us. Overall the place is good and I would eat it again if in the area. Give it a try and see how you like it!

Yelp
Absolutely 10000000000 percent THE BEST THING EVER TO put in my mouth! No kidding. I consider myself a pizza enthusiast and so for Mother's Day I wanted pizza. We found Thicc pizza and fell in love! Fresh ingredients definitely made a difference! We are traveling so I won't be able to go back but I certainly have higher expectations. I can't recommend this pizza enough! You need this!
google avatar

Ashley J.

Yelp
Great pizza with quality ingredients. They cook it made to order so definitely not a pizza that's been sitting around. A little pricey, but it's an experience. The ambiance was very casual and I appreciated that my companion could grab a bite from a different vendor in the food court.

Yelp
If I could give half stars I'd rate this place a 3 1/2. The pizzas are good but very greasy. I haven't had a lot of Detroit style pizza but it seems like a solid rendering of it. There's a good selection of toppings and combinations available and they have some of my favorite flavors of Boylan's soda. Both times I have been, they've had a sign with a limited selection of personal size pizzas marked as a limited time special. In a food hall that really seems like an odd choice, when one of the big draws is everyone in your group can choose something different! Their regular size is definitely big enough for two people to share.

Yelp
Tucked into a corner in of the 505 Central Food Hall, this Detroit style pizzeria serves up a decent pan of pie. We walked up and went with some recommended cheese sticks and the Brooklyn pizza. The cheese sticks came out quickly and we're delicious. Fresh baked dough with thick cheese on top. The Brooklyn pizza was a pan baked pizza with thicc cheese blend, organic red sauce, pepperoni, house pickled jalapenos, hot honey, fresh basil and thicc parmesan slices. It didn't last very long,... like the pager said these pizzas are "made for two, but sometimes devoured by one.". It was plenty. The service was friendly and engaging. The food hall had plenty of seating, and live music provided mellow tunes in the background. Just the right amount of pizza for the belly.

Yelp
Delicious pizza!! The Burrata pizza is the best! The pepperoni and close second. Crave it weekly!
google avatar

Angie K.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious! This is a thicker crust pizza with cheese kind of charred to the sides which gives it a pretty unique flavor - not a burnt flavor, but a crunchy cheesy flavor. The bottom of the crust doesn't have the charred characteristic but is nice and thick and crispy. I had the veggie, and my friend had the burqueno without cheese which they were happy to accommodate which was great. The staff was friendly and the pizza was fresh and baked to order. To top it off they also have the Boylan sodas which are a great treat if you're in the mode, cane sugar and excellent flavors. The pizzas are a good size, they advertise them as good for two and for me it did make two meals (took half home in a box). My friend was hungry so it was a larger sized meal for one. Prices are reasonable as well for something this fresh and tasty! The place is in the 505 Central food hall which I hadn't been to before. There's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. There's an outdoor area that sheltered from the wind/sun as well which was great for a nice warm evening. I'll be back! Thanks to Thicc for bringing pan style pizza from my Detroit childhood to Albuquerque !

Yelp
I don't really have a strong opinion on pizza styles but Detroit-style is up there with my favorite. As far as I'm aware, Thicc Pizza is the only spot in town serving up this style. Highly recommend checking them out and taking a friend to share. The prices are higher if you think of the pizza as single serve but really the portions are for at least two people. This last time I went, I shared with two friends and we were all happy campers. They note that the thicc-rita is not actually a margherita pizza but it does have some of the same components. It is simple, fresh, and fantastic. Burrata is never a bad idea. Note to myself: every time I go, I order the thicc-rita and then immediately note the Notorious P.I.G. on the menu which I really need to try. I am definitely a pineapple pizza girly and it sounds fantastic.

Yelp
If you like it Thick & fat! This pie was perfection baby! Quality ingredients, great presentation, definitely when I'm in the downtown hood, it's a must stop. Service was friendly and helpful. Go check out THICC for a Sexyfood experience. Ciao

Yelp
Excellent pizza with quality ingredients. Our order was delivered in a timely fashion. The Caesar salad was fantastic. Nice portion size,, lots of fresh sliced parm and croutons. Only thing I recommend is an extra side of dressing because it is thick and the tiny cup of dressing is not enough.
google avatar

Yelp
THICC Pizza Co. is located in the 505 Central Food Hall. I honestly didn't want a heavy meal but this place came highly recommended by our awesome bartender Joshy from Moonwalk. It is without a doubt your best option in this food hall, and probably the best meal I had while I was in New Mexico. THICC serves Detroit style pizza. These 8" by 10" pan cooked pizzas are cut into 6 squares with the cheese burnt onto the sides of the pan. The corner pieces are definitely the best best. The three of us shared an order of THICC Stixx ($6) and The 8 Mile ($18) which comes with their thicc cheese blend, organic red sauce, pepperoni, ricotta kisses, red top stripes and basil. They also have amazing THICC ranch dipping sauce ($1/additional). A bit pricey for pizza but at least it was good. At least I wouldn't mind eating it again. 5 stars since we were in Albuquerque but it would be 4 stars in any other decent food scene where there's more competition.
google avatar

Yelp
I usually do detailed reviews of places and try to give insights. This is Detroit style which is foreign to New Mexicans. Let me sum it up. GREAT PIZZA. ONE OF THE Best IN NM. GET Your ASS OVER THERE AND TRY IT!!!!!! Kinda expensive and the pizzas are small. So what. There is no where else that offers anything close.
google avatar

Yelp
Yum yum and yum again. If you have not tried the pizza here you are definitely missing out. We were looking for a place to grab some food and stumbled upon the 505 Central Food Hall. On the recommendation of some nearby patrons I decided to give their pizza a go. Boy was I glad. This pizza is the bomb! I had the Burqueno with hot honey. It was sooooooo good! 10/10 for me. I have never had Detroit style pizza and I sure didn't know what I was missing. The crispy edges and thick crust were amazing. We will definitely be back! If you have not tried this place you you need to get down here!
google avatar

Jordan J.

Yelp
We had THICC Slim Vegan pizzas. They were amazing. The shop was busy, but our pizzas came out quickly. While I expected to miss the cheese, because despite being vegan, I do love a good cheesy pie. But there was so much to taste, I didn't miss it.
google avatar

Robert A.

Yelp
Good food where there aren't a ton of options. The pizza was cooked well and the toppings tasty. They were very nice at the counter for my togo order. It's in the food court in downtown Albuquerque
google avatar

Meagan L.

Yelp
What a gem to be able to find authentic Detroit-style pizza here in Albuquerque (Michigan-born husband approves). I talk this place up to everyone until they go try it! Pizzas are made to order and they stop serving when they run out of dough. My only wish is for this place to be a stand-alone restaurant!

TN D.

Yelp
Best Detroit style pizza I've ever had! The ingredients are fresh, the sauce is flavorful, the cheese is tasty, and the Detroit style crust was perfection! We got the supreme. Can't wait to try the other pizzas on the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Son was visiting from Dallas & wanted to go down Central. As we looked for a place to eat I realized I have never eaten here. Reviews were good, sooooo "let's do this". Restaurant was very clean, great wait staff, prices were just right for quality/quantity received, most important food was fantastic. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. Sorry no pictures phone was about dead for enjoying the day with visiting family. I highly recommend these guys.

J V.

Yelp
Caesar salad and pizza were amazing! Dressing and croutons were homemade, delicious!!
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Hungry for pizza - why not go to a food court? So here we are. Never tried Detroit style so this will be the first Of course there are a lot of other places to eat and we had to pass by most of them to get here. But we have ideas for our next time here. Easy order from a smiling counter person - it was the choice that was hard. A Notorious P.I.G. chosen and with vibrating pager we located a seat after getting something to drink. No diet sodas here. Pizza came out looking pretty good and tasted even better. I liked the crispy edges of this square pizza. They didn't skimp on the toppings either. We enjoyed our pie and look forward to a return trip.
google avatar

P C.

Yelp
The dough has been raw. Yes, RAW. The last 3 times I've been there. RAW. It used to be good in the beginning. I'm sad because I've loved the pizza. I'm a downtown denizen who has gone to this place tons of times. But...they aren't cooking their pizzas long enough....and they're going to make someone sick.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I grew up on the East Coast in the pizza capital of the world and all I can say is this place is on part or better.
google avatar

Kathy B.

Yelp
I went to THICC Pizza a few weeks ago with my sister. They are located at the 505 Food Hall located at 5th and Central. My brother had told me about it and said that they were fantastic and he was right. We ordered the Supreme which was delicious! The pizza is authentic Detroit style pizza with caramelized cheese crust cut into six pieces. All their pizzas are finished with signature THICC shaved parmigiana cheese. Their organic red sauce has just the right flavor, not too sweet and not too bitter. But what they are best known for is definitely their crust. Thick Detroit style crust, crunchy and delicious! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the pizza but I did take a picture of these tennis rackets that were designed as a piece of art on the wall which I thought was cool. I will definitely be going back for pizza there.

Christine S.

Yelp
Management needs to be fired. He's rude and sassy. And the female was very rude too. The place was filthy yesterday. And I became ill last night. Vomiting, diarrhea and sweating, it was awful. I told my husband if this doesn't get better, I am going to the emergency room. It cleared up after about 2 hours thankfully. It ll never return there!!
google avatar

K C.

Yelp
Pizza was over cooked and wasn't that great. I ordered off the web and it was delivered by grub hub. There was four of us and we got a super small individual pizza. Make sure to read the sizes of the pizzas.
google avatar

Chelsea B.

Yelp
If you like a cheesy, crunchy crust, then this pizza is for you.The Brooklyn Squared is my fave.
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
Like every city seems to have now, this is the local food hall with 4-5 decent options so not real big but everything looked good. Went with the Thicc pizza supreme. Reminded me of Detroit style pizza deep like Chicago but crust was basically just the crispy cheese on the edge. Pizza tasted good and had a little kick to it. I would come back and nice place with other options for different people. A pizza is big enough 2 people could share it.
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
Before I talk about the pizza, let me give y'all a heads up and let you know this pizza takes a while to be done! I'm not sure how they deal with larger crowds but when I ordered my pizza I was pretty much the only one in line and I didn't see very many people order after me and this pizza still took over 30 minutes to be ready. It makes sense why this pizza takes a long time as it is Detroit style pizza and the dough is on the thicker side. After the long wait, the pizza came out hot and fresh and I really did enjoy it. The crispy cheese around the edges gave it that classic Detroit style taste and the pepperonis were great as well. They have a really flavorful ranch too. Other then the wait, the pizza was great and would definitely order one again. I would maybe just call in for pick up though or order ahead of they have that as an option.
google avatar

Travis B.

Yelp
Ordered pepperoni, pizza and breadsticks, and both were overcooked to the point where you could barely bite into them. They were so hard ordered off of slice.
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
I've had great pizza in Detroit. And this is damn close. The one w green chile and pepperoni...

Narrative P.

Yelp
First time eating Detroit Style Pizza... in ABQ. Thick crust, generous sauce, and toppings - highly recommend
google avatar

Cindy R.

Yelp
It's located in a food court but one pizza was enough for us to share and barely finish. The pizza was hot and extremely good. We probably won't be back that way unless we drive thru on a road trip but it was worth it.

Heather E.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this pizza. The pictures and reviews were great. The 8 mile pizza looked so good. We got delivery, 8 mile pizza and some cheese sticks. The pizza we received did NOT look like the pictures. There wasn't any basil on it at all. And barely any shaved Parmesan. Just pepperoni pizza with scoops of ricotta on each slice. So weird... The cheese sticks were really expensive for the poor dry quality of them. Overall, disappointed with my order. $40 for subpar food. Oh well.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
I love food halls and I love pizza. Never thought to try Detroit style pizza since I'm usually a thin crust kinda girl, but this was amazinggg. I recommend going with friends so you can try the different pizzas! My sister and I got The 8 Mile with hot honey and The Notorious P.I.G. and both were so tasty it was hard to limit all my eating. Their homemade ranch is also an excellent addition to these juicy, truly thicc pizza slices. Definitely going back for more!
google avatar

Lorelei P.

Yelp
First time visiting the 505 Central Food Hall, but this is our first time trying Thicc Pizza Co. Heard this place had some really delicious, Detroit style pizza. Served in the size of a rectangle, enough for two people or if you're really hungry. Enough for one person! So we decided to give it a try. Just be warned it's a little pricey for their pizza, but it is so good! We were not disappointed at all. We got to try the "Yo Adrian". A movie line from Rocky, love it! It had cheese, garlic crema, thinly sliced rib eye, mushrooms, green chili, olive oil and arugula. Overall, the pizza was awesome! I'd love to try a different one the next time we visit. We received good customer service, which is hard to come by these days. We appreciate that there is a place like this to go to and visit during this pandemic. Thank you!

Yelp
I'm a make a new plan Time for me to just stand up and travel new land... Time for me to just take matters into my own hands... Once I'm over these tracks, man I'ma never look back...Ain't gon' follow no footsteps I'm making my own Only way that I know how to escape across this 8 Mile Road... Thicc Pizza Detroit sang a sweet rap...We bit, munched, tore, ripped and swallowed slowly on a freakin good "Veggie Supreme Pizza"...w. Burnt Cheese crust nestling artichokes, spinach, garlic oil, red onion, black olive, burrata cheese, pecorino cheese and balsamic vinegar...it was a bomb implosion in your mouth, electrifying all your senses to new highs. All washed down with brews/vinos from Moonwalk, a crater away. Best enjoyed with a hybrid strain... Tryin' to chase rap Gotta move ASAP Get a new plan... You gotta live it to feel it You didn't, you wouldn't get it Or see what the big deal is Why it was and it still is To be walking this borderline of Detroit's city limits...:) Best, Avram eMnM

Yelp
Wonderful thick, crispy on the edges and a great cheese pull pizza. We ordered the pepperoni and it was so good, with the crispy cup pepperoni's. Service was friendly and nice ambiance. Will definitely go back!!

Janice R.

Yelp
Pizza was overly salty and crust was bland. Would not return! Menu is very small and atmosphere is cold.
google avatar

Jaime C.

Yelp
So this is how they do it in Detroit! That delicate crunch of the cheese that forms the "crust" was fantastic....I ordered the Roni Roni, that Ezzo pepperoni poppin' with all that fresh basil...truly delicious! I would say that the pizza is a little small for price, but, that being said... the quality is most certainly there! I think next time we'll have to order two pizzas :) The location is great, definitely a buzzing hub of people in and out enjoying the atmosphere.
google avatar

Sacora L.

Yelp
So this place is inside of the 505 Food Hall, so pretty much open seating. Your order from a counter. And they give you a buzzer while you wait. I took that time to grab a drink. The guy taking orders is pretty good about giving you the time frame. I ordered the Brooklyn Pizza no jalapeños add Italian sausage and Burrata! The Pizza was good and loaded, and the taste was bomb!! One of the best Pizzas I've had in a while.
google avatar

Jeremy A.

Yelp
While I was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before I came upon 505 Central. Awesome place by the way! Def need to return to try more spots out. Anyways, I ended up at Thicc Pizza Co. unsure what to get, the cashier pointed me to the pepperoni pizza, a classic and who can really go wrong with a pepperoni. Well, after receiving my pizza I was impressed. The flavors all came together and it lived up to the thicc name. I'd say a pizza could feed 2 people since I couldn't finish my 3rd slice. Def have to go back and try another specialty pizza.
google avatar

Miquel N.

Yelp
We came to the crappy town of Albuquerque and this was the best part of our visit. We ate here 3 times over the weekend. Super good every time. Loved the combinations of toppings. Was the perfect amount for two people to share. The breadsticks were also delicious. So so so good.
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
Pizza is exceptional! The cheesy, slightly charred crust isn't burned or bitter, it's crispy and simply delicious. It is unusual to find such elevated pizza in the sea of just mediocre pizza establishments, but Thicc Pizza is certainly a stand out.
