This place is just amazing, it’s slightly higher end, the waiters are great, they served the food with a spicy salt with orange zest which was really interesting and can be bought at their shop in house. The calamari was delicious and they even made an off the menu vegan mushroom risotto dish for my boyfriend, because they had nothing vegan in the menu! Excellent customer service!

Absolutely delicious! The salad was super fresh, and the bread came out warm. I even got a complimentary dessert –Greek yogurt with cinnamon and sour cherries in honey. It was amazing. I can totally recommend this place!

The food was delicious & beautifully presented – you can really tell there’s love in the details. Service was super friendly, and the whole vibe of the place is great. They also sell olive oil & salt - perfect as a small gift or souvenir. We came early for dinner and got a table without a reservation, no problem. Prices are a bit higher than usual for Greece, but honestly, it’s worth it. ☺️👏🏻

Came here for dinner on my own. Very warm welcome. Restaurant already feeling lively with one large table. Steady stream of new customers and deservedly popular. Food was amazing and very generous portions. Incredibly good value. I could only manage a starter and a main. The team added an amuse-bouche and mini dessert gratis. Shame that I am only here one night. Will have to make a return trip now just for this place alone.

Absolutely Unforgettable – A Must-Visit in Crete! We dined at Thigaterra in Ammoudara several times during our stay—and each visit was a standout experience. The food is truly out of this world—easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Their philosophy, "The Art of Slow Food," isn’t just a motto—it’s a promise they deliver on with every dish. The setting is beautifully designed, with a warm, inviting ambience that perfectly complements the dining experience. What truly sets Thigaterra apart, though, is the incredible team. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. A special mention to the manager, who made every meal feel like a special occasion. His hospitality turned each visit into a truly memorable experience—we didn’t just eat, we celebrated. If you're anywhere near Crete, do not miss this gem. It’s not just a meal—it’s a moment you’ll remember.
