Last Monday, two young men knocked on our door. They introduced themselves as AT&T employees and showed us their badges (later it turned out they worked for a company called Third Coast Events as "marketing specialists" (Brendon B. and Wesley M)). The conversation lasted almost two hours. Unfortunately, they offered us an increasingly better deal if we switched from T-Mobile to AT&T. Yes, it was our fault – we fell for it. One day later the promised phones were delivered, and that's when everything went wrong. Neither of the men contacted us again or came to activate the phones – instead, they told us to contact the company by phone. No one has called us back to this day. We quickly realized it was a huge mistake and immediately started trying to rectify the situation. Switching back to T-Mobile was easy. The problem is returning the phones and getting a refund for the taxes. Unfortunately, we also had to cancel our credit card.
As a warning to others – NEVER engage in such conversations! Never trust anyone who tries to sell you something when they come to your house! Never do business with employees of Third Coast Events (which probably doesn't even exist). Please, don't make the same mistake we did! A business deal that goes smoothly and "professionally" in the first conversation, but then the next day no one contacts you and the deal isn't completed, is simply a scam!!! Finally we sent phone back and we will wait for our money back - for taxis🧐
