Third Window Brewing Santa Barbara

We were spending the weekend in Santa Barbara and discovered the amazing place. The food and beers were all great. We had the pizza which is on a sea salt sourdough crust and was great. The staff was friendly and very attentive. They cleared tables very fast and offered to get us drinks from the bar. This place is definitely a must visit if you're into breweries or just love great pizza. I highly recommend the garlic butter dipping sauce for the crust. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

Came here for lunch during the week. Not gonna lie, parking sucks. Finally made it in and enjoyed a burger and chicken wings. First off the burger, waygu beef is bomb! Tender and juicy. Wings were salt and pepper and tasted amazing! Smoked and then fried. Salty, just the way I like it. They had some great sauces, too. Had the Tower beer and really enjoyed it, too.

Third Window was one of my favorite casual burger + beer restaurants I have been to. We got the tower beer which was incredible as well as the smash burger and fries. The smash burger was well made and exactly what you want when you get a smash burger. The service was good and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. This was one of my favorite meals on our trip and I would definitely come back and try more (shakes looked really good).

Came in on a Friday night. We have been here multiple times now and it has quickly become our favorite spot in SB. This is the place we bring family and friends to when they visit from out of town. Saturdays they have REALLY great bbq too. Rob the GM is attentive and the staff is super friendly. 10/10

Great selection of beers...something for everyone. Lots of options including regulars and special releases. Goes great with the pizza, which is first rate. Specialty pizzas are have interesting topping combos, sauce is good and the crust is excellent. They give dipping sauces for the crust which is fairly unique in my experience, but a welcome option. Very big place with lots of seating indoors and outside. Can be challenging to find a table when crowded...but isn't impossible. Good and family friendly spot. Haven't had any of the wine selections but on-site winery looks interesting and I have heard good things from others in my group. Fun spot overall that we try to visit at least once on every visit to Santa Barbara

This place always looked packed every time we went to a coffee shop next door, so we gave this place a try. My friend also told me that their wagyu burgers were amazing. The cheeseburgers were indeed amazing! The meat was juicy and well cooked. Their wings were really good, too. What made this experience even more special was the ambience. Their spacious and lovely patio was well decorated. The food came out fast, too.

Lively brewery in Santa Barbara. Their smash burgers were super cheap and delicious. They had plenty of space to sit and had plenty of drink options at the bar. Would definitely recommend for a quick, casual dinner or lunch.

An exquisite brewery with superb service and a Bier garden that everyone will love. I enjoyed the smash burger adding jalapenos. The fries were great too. I tried a gorgeous saison that had lovely complex flavors. The witbier was on by the Abbey quad was superb. They are connected to a winery too so lots of choices for everyone. It smelled like they were making some brisket too. Definitely check this place out and plan to hang out a while! The team there seemed to really care about quality and everyone have a great experience. This was so refreshing to have excellent hospitality!

It's super busy here on a Sunday night. We came around 5 and barely found a table. Long lines, lots of families with small children and pets. The servers & cashier were patient and didn't seem overwhelmed. The smash burger is a solid smash burger. Crispy edges, caramelized onions, melted cheese. Fries we had to pay extra for. Was still a bit hungry so we got passion fruit cheesecake. Would come again!

Really fun spot to hang out at. We stopped by to try out the smash burgers but they had a ribeye special which I had to try. It was amazing!! I'll definitely be back to try the burgers (unless they have the ribeye)

The wait doesn't have to be as long as you think. 1. We came by for dinner and this place was popping. You get in line, order, and seat yourself - easy. We were told the food could take a bit of time, which set our expectations. 2. We ordered a pizza and a burger. The pizza came out quickly and was steaming hot. The crust had a nice chew and my preferred level of char. It was a pretty good pizza, and I was glad it came out as fast as it did. 3. The burger, on the other hand, took over an hour to come out. 4. Because we had been told food could take a bit, we expected a wait but not one this long. Over the course of an hour, we asked a few runners and a counter worker to check on our ticket, and they all said the food had a wait. The counter worker ultimately had to resend our ticket to the kitchen, meaning the original was likely thrown out when the pizza was done. 5. The burger was piping hot when it finally arrived. It was tasty, but the long wait really killed the enjoyment for me. 6. So if your wait feels longer than expected, ask and keep asking.

Best smash burger I've had. Seems a little small but fills you up. Great ambience and super dog friendly. Lots of good vibes in this place on a Thursday night, people playing cards, families with babies and lots of dogs. Super good time. Didnt have any beer as I'm a wine drinker but the people next to me approved. Definitely will be come back. FYI it's an order at counter no wait service.

Genuinely not a single complaint. Amazing vibes on a sunny day: great for dogs, bigger groups, kids etc! Smash burger was insane! I love how they have so many sauces to choose from. Next time I'm back in sb I need to try the bbq because it looked so good. My friend got the salad and thought it was yummy too. There is something for everyone here!

If there's one place you have to visit in Santa Barbara, even if it's just for a quick pit stop, it's Third Window Brewing. To be honest, I don't go for the beer, I go for their juicy delicious burgers. The original smashed cheeseburger is the best! The fries come out nice and crispy, and I would recommend pairing it with the chipotle aioli. You order at the counter then bring the number to your table. Food comes out very quickly. The brewery shares a courtyard with Potek Winery, so I always get a crisp glass of wine to enjoy with the smashburger. The ambiance is amazing in the courtyard, especially at night when the heaters and string lights are on. I come back to this place on every SB trip and you should too!

Really good food but absolutely slowest service I've ever seen at a place for burgers. Over 40 minutes for 2 smash burgers and fries, we won't be back.

The kids had been wanting to try Third Window since it's been all over TikTok, so we finally checked it out. We called ahead about food allergies, and the staff was very accommodating, which I really appreciated. The space itself is a big outdoor spot with a relaxed vibe -- perfect for hanging out on the weekends. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food lived up to the hype. The smashburgers and fries were delicious! Just a tip: the patties are on the smaller side, so if you come hungry, definitely add a second patty. Overall, a fun spot with great food and great service.

Solid, solid smash burger. We came on a holiday weekend so there was a line and quite a wait for the food, but plenty of seating, good vibes and great for kids, dogs, etc.

We go here regularly and I have always wanted to try the barbecue. It's $38 for half pound of protein(brisket, pulled pork, sausage), two sides(we got baked beans and coleslaw), plus house made pickles, pickled red onions, raw onions, jalapeños, and bread, and barbecue sauce and chutney. It felt like way more than half a pound of meat. Two of us shared this and did not finish everything. It's really, really good. Great flavors: the sausage was not greasy, the pork and brisket were tender and perfect. The baked beans were great. It's a lot of food. Be sure you have plenty of time to sit and savor every bite. PS-some places are charging $20 for a sandwich. At $38, for 2 people, this is good value and way more food than 2 sandwiches.

A favorite patio! Best smashed burgers. Great fries and a beer. Sounds like the perfect day to me! I like how they use local ingredients in their beer. Their special tri tip and steak days sound amazing. Looking forward to going to a special event soon.

We decided to try Third Window after a trip to the zoo. There are plenty of seating options, we chose outdoor seating since it was such a great day. Ordered the avocado jalapeno smash burger, fries, and a couple of their IPAs. The burger was amazing - they executed well on the smash burger. It had two crispy wagyu patties, and the ingredients worked well together. The west coast IPA was pretty solid, for sure my favorite. Would love to go back to try their pizzas and steaks, or just to enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the brewery.

Excellent burger (avocado Jalepano). Excellent beer (Belgian quad). Excellent service and atmosphere. Came here twice in three days. Everyone loved it. Get the Alabama sauce for the fries.

Second time coming here in the matter of a month, and we gladly will make the drive from Ventura just for this place. Our first visit was so enjoyable that we needed to come back on a Saturday to see what the BBQ was all about as Ventura County is a literal BBQ desert. First visit we had a pretzel, wings, fries, short rib pizza and pepperoni pizza as well as several festbiers. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Today's visit we loaded up on BBQ with the combo plate and added an extra 1/2 lb of brisket and 1/2 rack of spare ribs. Man, these guys know what they're doing. First, the prices are unbelievable considering what I've paid elsewhere for far less food. We got all that BBQ AND 2 beers and 2 mineral waters for just under $120. Every meat was cooked to perfection. I even appreciated the slice of sourdough bread instead of the typically slice of white bread that's usually given with BBQ. We continue to have positive experiences at Third Window, which frankly I find is sometimes hard to come by in today's food service environment. We will definitely see you again soon!

Went for here for dinner and they've changed their mini parking lot to more seating. We came here to try their sourdough pizza and also ordered their smoked wings and smash burger. Their root beer had a strong taste. It has a strong licorice and clove flavor but as the ice melted, it dimmed the flavors. But it was still strong! Would not recommend it to kids or those not into licorice and clove. Their famous smash burgers have soft buns, but the root beer coated my tongue so I had lingering cloves on my taste buds. The smoked chicken wings have a nice smoked flavor and crisp skin. They do come with sauces and we went with Alabama white sauce (reminds me of balsamic and Italian dressing with some creaminess-as noted above, the root beer coated my taste buds). The sough dough pepperoni looked small for the price but had lots of pepperoni to make up for it. The red sauce had a slightly tart tomatoe flavor and the cheese and topping kept slipping out. So you have to fold and tilt the pizza towards the crust so they don't fall out. The way short rib pizza has a slightly sweet bbq sauce drizzle, jalapenos, tender short ribs and raw onions and cilantro. The quality of the meat was obviously good and jalapenos and raw onions cut down the heaviness of the short rib. Well balanced and flavored pizza! The service was a little slow, but there were lots of people and with the added tables...I recommend grabbing a beer or drink to sip on as you wait for your food. It can take up to 15-30mins for the food but the pizzas came out pretty fast. They also had a good amount of heat lamps for people to stay warm and it's also dog friendly!

We visited this spot on our weekend trip to Santa Barbara after seeing it all over social media, and we loved it!! This place is located around a bunch of small businesses/warehouses, so there's a lot of street parking around. It's a beautiful brewery, they have so many tables/lounge areas to accommodate for big groups. The employees were nice and quick to clean up tables. We came at lunch time on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. We ordered some beers (I don't remember their names, sorry) and 2 smash burgers for lunch, dine-in. They serve you your food quickly. The smash burgers were sooo good. My boyfriend and I like to try different smash burgers and this one had everything we liked! They were generous with the meat and the bread was so soft. Their sauce is really mustard-forward, but we liked it. We definitely would recommend this spot!

One of the best smash burgers around! I love the LT Smash and don't forget the fries, they are crispy and delicious! On the weekends they have BBQ and it is fantastic! Don't miss out on the brisket! Well done Third Window! You are my Saturday go to spot!

Great vibes and delicious food! It does get crowded, especially on weekends, so I recommend having one person grab a table while someone else gets in line for food because finding a seat can be tricky during peak times. The pizza came out fast and was really tasty. We ordered an arugula salad on the side and added it on top of the pizza - highly recommend trying that! I've also had the vegan black bean burger on a pretzel bun, which was solid. Their fries are my favorite! I always get them with the lemon aioli and homemade ranch. So good! My only complaint is the lack of gluten-free options, which makes it tough for my mom to eat here. Hopefully they expand that in the future. Overall, it's an awesome spot to hang out with friends, grab a drink, and enjoy some great food.

Had an excellent burger on Father's Day. We got to the restaurant right when they opened expecting a crowd for the holiday and it was already pretty busy but staff were very nice and kept the line moving quickly. Food came out hot and did not take as long as we expected considering how busy it was. We like to get a big order of fries and a pretzel for the table and try all the different dipping sauces. They also make surprisingly good salads!

Went during dinner time and they had Christmas lights and decorations all around the store. Even though the place was mainly outside there's a lot of outside heaters! The place is also dog friendly. Ordered the LT burger and LT bacon burger and it tastes good and does the job. 4 stars because the service was okay, condiments are of charge and was judged very hard when asking for warm water :(

I brought my friend here for her first time this past Friday, there was a LONG line. We waited about 40 minutes to order. Although she thought the burgers were very tasty, she didn't think it was worth waiting that long for. Me on the other hand, think it is worth the wait. These are some of the best burgers I've tried. I usually get full very quickly but this was devoured. We also tried the lemon arugula salad that I'd probably skip next time.

I love a good smash burger and honestly this could be top 3 smash burger of all time for me. We did come by after a long bike ride which may have made us more amazed, but still so good. Vibes are immaculate outside and service is kind. Their portions are a bit small, but prices are very fair so OK to order more

Just came here yesterday for my friends after wedding dinner! What an amazing place! The ambiance is wonderful, so much to look at and such good vibes. The staff was wonderful, everyone so kind and informed and helpful! Now most importantly, the food and drinks. I've had many burgers in my life and this was hands down the best burger I've ever had. The cook, the flavors, every single ingredient was cooked to perfection. I wish I lived closer so I could have it again. The fries were also great! Loved them. The wings!!! I'm usually a very saucy person. So when I found out the wings were without sauce on them I wasn't sure how I felt. I got the salt and pepper wings. Wow was I shocked. The cook and flavor on these smoked wings were insane. And we got the ranch, buffalo, and bbq sauce on the side. SO GOOD. I could've drank it. Everything was just delicious. The beers and the wine were also really great. The line got super long later and the staff was so good about getting us more drinks and things separately rather than lining up again and again (we had a very big party). Anyways, will most definitely be back! Hopefully sooner than later.

The best smash burger in town period! Love the open restaurant concept with indoor outdoor seating and tons of natural light. Really friendly and quick service. The burger was perfectly crispy and sooo flavorful. The fries were also top tier, perfect amount of crunch and softness. The chipotle aioli dipping sauce was my fave! Can't believe I've been hanging out in the funk zone and am just now trying this spot, it's going to be a staple now for sure

One of the better brewery experiences I've had. I had been unimpressed trying breweries years ago in SB, however no longer. 3rd window is location on Halsey which is t exactly the most vibrant part of town, and they're built their whole operation over here including a winery too. The brewery isn't really set up for tours, however the tap room offers a ton of options at an affordable price. They do the normal IPA shtick, however more importantly are very into Belgians and experimental stuff. I had a whit stout which was superb, and the Belgian options were diverse and worthy of being called Belgian unlike most American brewers. Staff could not be nicer too despite the long lines. If getting food, you order at the bar and take a number to the courtyard where there is plenty of seating. I had for a burger where the beef comes from a ranch they own. It was superb unto itself, with the right ratio of bread to meat, not cooked to death, and with the right amount of melted cheese. Also got fries which were great and come with an array of sauce options. Alongside the beer, this made for a great night out. Got some merch on the way back too, although they are popular and sell out of things. Will be back next time I'm in SB! So glad a place like this has opened.

Best smash burger I've ever had. The original smash burger is perfectly juicy, with a creamy mustard sauce and pickles on the side. We also tried the Santa Maria tri tip sandwich (special for the day) which was top tier and came with a fantastic creamy horseradish sauce. Service was quick and there is a nice patio with lots of space to sit. Lots of beer options too but the smash burger really stole the show.

Four stars for the food, compliments to the chef! Who knew that a place that doesn't promote smash burgers can make better smash burgers in most places. Their beer is good but warm, somebody forgot that ice cold is associated with beer

I believe best smash burger in Southern California and that I have had. Ambiance is great because I can also have a hazy beer. Service is a little slow but because everyone is ordering burgers.

I've heard countless rave reviews about this place and finally decided to try it for myself and WOW. It is a local favorite for a reason. We went on a Thursday around 5:30 PM and just beat the line. It gets pretty busy but the line moves fast. You order at the counter, take a number, and seat yourself. Service is casual, nothing special, but our food came out pretty quick for how busy it was. The bartenders/staff taking our order did not seem stoked to be there, but those serving/bussing our food were all super friendly! There is ample outdoor seating with picnic benches and tables. There is also a wine bar where you can order glasses/tastings. Highly recommend grabbing a drink at the brewery or wine bar while you wait for the food to come out. The smash burger was a 10/10. The wagyu is super flavorful and cooked perfectly, placed in between a deliciously soft bun. The special sauce is amazing and the pickles were a great addition. The food came out hot and fresh, you could tell the kitchen was cranking them out. Overall, this is a great place for a casual dinner with some friends. Super chill and laid back vibe with people enjoying beer/food. Definitely expect a little bit of a wait, but if you're looking for somewhere to hang out and get a good bite to eat, this is the spot!

Just had my first Third Window smash burger yesterday and I can definitely say it lives up to the hype. It was warm and juicy and all the good things. The special sauce is delicious and the cheese was perfectly melted. Service was wonderful and I love the open air concept of the establishment.

Some of the best beers in the area. Smash burgers were amazing. Nice list to choose from. Excellent outside space with a pet friendly area too. Favorite of our visit.

Should give a 3.5. The first time I went I had a pretty good experience. Came back 2 more times. Each time my order was wrong. Mentioned it to the guys that bring you your order to the table. They were not friendly and seemed annoyed. Grabbed the plates and returned with the correction. No...sorry about that, etc. Poor customer service. Haven't been back since....

The peanut butter burger was something to write home about. Absolutely delicious! The fries were great as well!! The number of sauce options was pleasant to see and enjoy. Tons of patio room, and service was great. Would love to check Third Window Brewing out again soon!

My favorite brewery of all time! The beers are amazing, but what is even better than the beers are the smash burgers! I live in LA and have driven there just for burgers and beers. The ambiance here always puts me in a good mood.

Great place off the beaten path in SB. Brisket is phenomenal and reasonable. 2nd time here passing through and the food and beer excellent. Dogs love it here too

Atmosphere was great, beautiful and relaxed all at the same time. Our server was really nice and friendly (patient with how long we took to figure out which beers we wanted). If you're feeling nostalgic for a rice crispy treat--def get the homemade ones on the counter if they're available. Love this spot and can't wait to come back!

I was really let down by Third Window Brewing. I reached out 6 months prior to try and reserve a space for my rehearsal dinner. The manager assured me that there would be a space for us and advised me to reach out a month or so before the event to talk details and make the final reservation. I listened..... when I reached out the month before like I was advised the manager told me he wasn't sure if he would be able to make it happen and told me he would get back to be and let me know. Then I never heard from him again even after several emails.....very disappointed.

My husband and I had a fantastic date here on a beautiful sunny day! I enjoyed the cob salad and my husband enjoyed the Smashburger with an extra patty! He rated his burger an 8 out of 10, and I rated my salad an 8 out of 10 as well! The service was good, and the folks that were here were super kind! We also really enjoyed the vibe of the brewery, including seeing all the cute dogs around and the succulents! There are plenty of shaded areas on this sunny day as well, so that was good! We also really liked that the Olympics were playing on the TVs, USA versus France! The music was great as well -- there's also a winery here that my husband and I didn't get to enjoy it! Perhaps next time :) The only downside is that parking can be challenging! My husband and I had to drive around a little little bit to find street parking, so give yourself time to Park if you're going to come here! We also came here luckily before the rush of the afternoon and didn't have to wait, but while we were getting our food, there was a long line of the door! Highly recommend for a place to go on a day trip to Santa Barbara!

One of our go-to spots whenever we visit Santa Barbara. They have a wide selection of beers, ciders and kombucha if that's not your thing. There's also a wine tasting room next door! What keeps us coming back is the large outdoor patio making it a chill place to hang out and their amazing wagyu smash burgers and wings! Burgers are made to order and each one is delicious. They also do specials like BBQ and we came during the month of October and they had a Bavarian plate special which was pretty good too! You order at the counter, grab a number and they bring your food to you. They're very thoughtful with their water jugs and water bowls for furry friends.

Best burger I've ever had in my life! But now I'm not sure if I'll be returning. This white lady brought her crying kid and the kids toilet into the restaurant so he can pee and poo. Right there in line! This has to be some kind of violation. Even the dogs were more well behaved than this. Where's the managers or employees? So gross.

Very excited to try, but I soon learned that they fry everything in peanut oil so my son (who has allergies to peanut) was unable to eat with me! Staff was helpful in trying to propose alternatives. They have a nice variety of beer on tap, and a very cool, SB open-air vibe. Parking is scarce so street parking is a must. The burger was flavorful and gooey!

Definitely a Fun atmosphere!! Loved it! The smash burger is darn good! The beer and wine selections are plentiful. You will find exactly what you need when it comes to washing down the burger and fries. Thumbs up to the great attitude service professionals. Keep up the great work. Awesome beer, food, and service. We had may wife's birthday celebration here with a large group. Had the BBQ, smash burgers, pizza, and a few other things from the menu. Some of the best Brewery food you will find. The beer is solid with a wide selection and something for everyone. They also serve wine from Potek next door. Service was top notch with the Robert, their GM, being the best party host. Lots of patio seating and super kids and dog friendly. Looking forward to coming back here again on our next SB visit.

Of course the beer is great but the burgers are to die for! Burger fries And a beer Life doesn't get much better than that!
