The Best Things Infatuation Boston Ate This Year

"Curry Pickled Fish There’s a lot happening in a bowl of curry pickled fish from Cambodian spot Thmor Da in Revere. It’s sour, sweet, spicy, and refreshing at the same time, which is a level of complexity that we didn’t taste in anything else this year (we didn’t see it in Kanye’s brief run for president either). And the fish is even better when paired with the sliced cucumber and cabbage that come on the side for dipping purposes. This dish is definitely at the top of the list for our first post-pandemic party." - joel ang

Thmor Da - Review - Revere - Boston - The Infatuation

"There aren’t many Cambodian restaurants in Boston (though there are quite a few more in Lowell), which is a shame considering how great everything is at Thmor Da. The pickled fish curry has the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour flavors, and is excellent with the accompanying raw vegetables. The Tiger Tears beef and pepper salad is spicy and refreshing at the same time. We could go on and on, but that would be wasting time that you should be using to place an order." - Joel Ang

I ordered pork noodle soup with ground pork, my company ordered dry noodle with chicken broth on the side, both were good...I don't know how did they make every single noodle taste so flavorful ? Deep fried eggrolls were so freshly made, they were crispy, tasty and savory, so good! service was good, everyone is so friendly there, I am definitely going back again if we are at the beach !

Probably the best Cambodian food I have ever had. The drunken noodles with chicken was so succulent, so perfect, it left me wanting more. First couple bites were a bit spicy but the flavor was top notch and the presentation was top tier. My guest ordered the soup which was plentiful with shrimp, lemongrass, and other complimenting treats. The restaurant is small, the temperature was a little hot, and the prices are a little high, but to receive this type of quality of food, I wouldn't hesitate to go back again and again. The Durian shake was a perfect compliment to my meal as it removed the spiciness and allowed me to take the next bites. It was soooo delicious! I have never had such tender rich, delicious chicken in my life and I am left wanting more. Even writing this review one day later, my mouth is salivating over that chicken perfectly paired with those noodles! Highly recommended 10/10

Google
Liked the noodle soup, the drunken noodles but I wasn’t that big fan of the curry. Also did enjoy the durian shake

Google
The noddle soup 🍲 was good and nice and warm. The beef Lok lak plate was not to bad the meat was a little over cooked but had good flavor. The special Fried rice was amazing cooked to perfection and never had Crab 🦀 meat in my rice ever which was great. The place is tiny but the help is good and very helpful. Will different be back here the time im in town. Overall this is a great place to check out and try a good meal.

Google
Absolutely legendary!! Service is always so speedy and friendly, and the place is SPOTLESS. You have to walk thru the kitchen to access the restroom and you can see how clean it is. I’ve had the coconut curry and beef noodle soup, so rich and healthy and tasty. What a gift to have this place around!

Google
Absolutely fantastic, great prices and delicious food. No idea if its authentic but the soups are amazing with well cooked meat and plenty of fresh flavors and the noodle dishes are very well done. The servers are friendly and quick. The servings are big, the small size is enough for most people. The extra large could serve 2-3. Not a lot if seating so if you're going with a big group, be warned.

Google
This was my uncle’s favorite restaurant. When he was alive, he was always so excited to bring his family here and share the wonderful food at Thmor Da with nieces, nephews, friends and more. Authentic Cambodian food with friendly service and delicious flavors.

Yelp
Before today I had never had Cambodian food. I asked the server for recommendation and this was one of them. It was perfect for me because I I'm trying to trim down a bit. And this has no rice with it. It was just meat and vegetables. It was delicious, and I added some of the hot chili oil to it. It was very fresh tasting, and the green peppers, which sometimes can be overwhelming, were better than I expected. The service was very friendly and she always kept me filled with water and making sure I didn't need anything. It's a very simple place, but I would love to come back and try something else.

Yelp
One of the few restaurants left on Shirley ave that's been there for many MANY YEARS. It's a go to for me when I crave something Cambodian to eat! Price has really gotten up- I do understand since all other surrounding restaurants are at similar price point but I do wish maybe getting more for our buck. Sometimes the portions do not equate to the prices. Overall I do really enjoy their food and service is always great!

Yelp
Years ago someone said my review of the light rail could be a TV show. On other occasions, my reviews struggle to hit two sentences. Thmor Da is outstanding, but I wish I had more to say about the menu. The Tiger Tears appetizer is such a knockout that I haven't diversified. My last two trips here were solo, and it's large enough to be an entree (if you add rice which is a must because of the sauce), so I didn't get other things. It features grilled beef, peppers and onions, in a spicy, citrusy concoction that gets more fiery as you go along. I'm unclear if there's a formal spice paradigm but I got "medium". (I haven't uploaded my official Spice Tolerance Documents yet but as a benchmark I usually go for medium at legit ethnic restaurants and was pleased with the "two pepper" level at Dan & John's Wings in Brooklyn). I was fascinated by the chili paste, dry chilis and jalapenos that adorned the tables but they're not necessary in this dish. Also I think this was my first-ever durian shake, which provided an intriguing counterpoint to the spice. The guy who was working here was super-friendly and helpful in explaining the options to newcomers. We talked about his favorite restaurants in Chinatown and the relative absence of Cambodian food in NYC.

Yelp
Everything was great! Special Fried rice was amazing as always. Chowfoon is the best! Better than any place in Lowell. Sadly no chowfoon in Lowell compares to here! I have to Drive 45 minutes just to Come for chowfoon!

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite Cambodian restaurants in the area for years. Busy or slow, the workers always greet me with a smile. My favorites are the meekathang (chow foon), crispy yellow noodles, and spicy ground beef dishes. Years ago, they all used taste out of the world with the original chef but has since retained most of their essence. Highly recommend especially to support the local mom and pap shops!

Yelp
I think my foodie expience here was okay, just not quite what I had hoped. The restaurant is very small and due to covid, you are not allowed in; all orders are placed at the shielded entrance and picked up there when ready. The papaya salad for was a little over dressed, the Prahok, fermented fish sauce, was quite strong for my taste and didn't seemed to acheive a harmonious balance with the other ingredients. Mind you, there are distinct flavor difference between Cambodian, Vietnamese, Lao and Thai papaya salads. This one just didn't hit all my personal flavor notes. On the other hand, the Pork Pad Thai was very good with a generous amount of pork and balanced flavors. Over all it was a good experience and I am sure there are other dishes prepared there that are equally as good as their Pad Thai.

Yelp
On Revere's Shirley avenue, a revamped street full of Asian and Latin markets, Thmor Da holds its own, as the king of Cambodian Cuisine. Most of the time, I never get past the soup and salad, when the soup is their delicious, sweet Crab Meat soup, and the salad is their tangy, funky, Green Papaya salad. A note to the faint of heart, that salad has been sometimes "medium spicy", but other times, I had quite the fire on my lips and tongue. At various times, my dining companions and I had the Fried Fish with Ginger sauce, the Chili Quail (I warned him he'd be working around those tiny bones, but does anyone ever listen?), the Beef with Ginger, the Shrimp Tom Yum soup, the lemon soup with fish, the Thai style beef salad, and the Pad Thai (which they spell Pat Thai). Only on this final one did I find the Cambodian touch not quite on the money, for a Thai dish, although the menu is very much a merger of the two cuisines. (For me, they are Pad Thai noodles, or they are some other noodle.) There are a few tables, one usually occupied by their children, who are extremely well behaved. A TV overhead plays Cambodian music videos. Of course, if you are just getting your feet wet with this cuisine, go in for Tiger Tears and Loc Lak. If you are just getting your feet wet after a life time of Chinese food, these are staples that won't scare you too much, one being essentially pepper beef over tomatoes and cucumbers, the other being seared steak with a spicy nuoc cham dipping sauce. Sometimes either can be served with rice, or lettuce wraps of Thai basil. Scared of your younger eaters? Good ol' spring rolls, egg rolls, Chow Foon noodles, and fried rice dishes are here too. So, take a little trip on the spice wagon, and give Thmor Da a try!

Yelp
I'd only had Cambodian cuisine a few times--first, a more banquet style version in Boston, and second, at a Cambodian/Taiwanese restaurant in D.C. I absolutely hated my stir-fry at the Boston restaurant, but really enjoyed the kuy teav in D.C. Thmor Da came highly recommended from a friend, and I knew I had to try it, since I love southeast Asian cuisines and since I didn't have much experience with Cambodian food. Thmor Da is tiny, with only about eight tables. The server is absolutely wonderful, but she is so busy, that you will have a wait. I sat myself since I was standing for a while and didn't see her, and that seems to be acceptable. Another reviewer mentioned having the menu items listed in both Khmer and English (currently, it's only English), as well as in both alphabets, and I do think that would be super helpful. I wanted everything on the menu, but finally decided on the spring rolls (which would be considered summer rolls by many, including myself), dry yellow noodles with chicken (dry kuy teav), and Tiger Tears. The spring rolls were just OK--I really thought I was getting the fried pork and taro ones. I probably wouldn't order them again, as they were a little bland. I loved my dry yellow noodles with chicken, which is a flavorful chicken, noodle, and aromatics combination with broth on the side. The dish was so well-seasoned that I didn't use a ton of broth, though I did add chile sauce. Tiger Tears is a cold pepper, onion, herb, and steak dish that is delicious and extremely flavorful. It looks spicy, but it actually isn't--not sure if you have to specify that, but I will next time. While there's another Cambodian restaurant on the North Shore, Thmor Da seems to be the more popular option, and it'll definitely be my option when I come home.

Yelp
Small Cambodian spot with nothing special from the outside, but go in, sit down, and enjoy the food made with passion. Friendly service. They might not speak good English but you'll get a friendly nod and smile every time :) Noodles, Fried Rice, Fresh Rolls... here you can't go wrong.

Yelp
Pricey for nasty. $6 spring roll, not so bad of a price if it's good quality. Unfortunately, not the case here. First time experiencing frozen shrimp in spring roll. Presentation was not ok.

Yelp
It's about to go down! This is honestly my favorite mom & pop restaurant. It's a true hidden gem in Revere. I've had other Cambodian places around in Lowell, Lynn etc and this place still out beats them all. Usually there's only one waiter/waitress because of how small the place is but they do a kickass up job of multi-tasking. They're always so nice and sweet. Dishes are about $7-$13 and under depending on size and portion you get but nothing should cost you more than that. Your total bill here would be the cheapest thing you ever eaten but feel like you went for a 5 course fine dining dinner! My top picks and go-to are: 1. Special chow fun with seafood and beef (meekathung) 2. Curry pickled fish with coconut milk 3. Bo luc lac 4. Dry noodle seafood and beef (new fave)

Yelp
Phenomenal service and food! We were greeted with the kindest and most adorable, professional young man server. He had glasses and was the son of the owner. He was very helpful with the menu, polite, professional, and brought out the food and tea on time. The food was delicious as well. The mango salad was unique, delicious, and a perfect balance of flavors from sweet to umami. Also, we LOVED the beef drunken noodles. Every dish we had was amazing but those two were the stand outs. Back to the service though!!! Our server even greeted us on the way out and held the door open. It was the best service we've ever had and were even talking about it after dinner when we were headed back to our hotel. This was also our first time trying Cambodian food and the flavors enhance the natural ingredients and everything was seasoned so perfectly. Perfect amount of spice, saltiness, and sweetness. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!! I wish we lived close so that we could come often and try more dishes.

Yelp
We are well-versed in Thai food as well as Vietnamese cuisine but I haven't really tried Cambodian before. We truly enjoyed the papaya salad it was different from Thai style papaya salad or Vietnamese style papaya salad. The beef noodle soup was great as was the pineapple coconut curry soup with white rice. We can't wait to return. It's a small restaurant that is clearly family operated. Looks like a great local establishment and A great place to visit. This is an addendum to our prior review. Now we are truly in love. Every time we drive by revere we have to stop and have lunch. As many of the other reviewer's recommended you have to try the Tiger Tears. It's basically a cold beef salad but it's out of this world. The owners are super friendly.

Yelp
Only been to Boston a few times and this is my first time this restaurant. Each time I visited this city, I had to try different khmer restaurant. As there's are few to none where I'm from.

Yelp
One of our go to spots. Get me ka thung and special seafood noodle soup. I've gotten random other times off the menu and it never disappoints. I get the beef sour soup and even thought I've had better ones out there... it's still decent that I continue to always get it. When we have visitors we always do take out here and they love it!!!

Yelp
Sadly there is not a large number of Cambodian restaurants in the Boston area since most of the Massachusetts population lives in the Lowell area, but luckily in Revere there is this small mom and pop restaurant along with a few grocery stores in the area. I have more than a few Cambodian friends and have been lucky enough to experience Khmer food at it's finest, from local restaurants all over Lowell to people's mother's kitchens, and plenty plenty plenty of cookout food. My friend wanted to try Khmer food for the first time and since I didn't feel like driving all the way to Lowell, this spot popped up when I searched for Cambodian food in the Boston area. When we dropped by, the restaurant has a real small, diner type feel. The menu is pretty big but the one thing that threw me off is that they use Westernized names on the menu for the most part instead of Khmer names (Cambodian style chow fun instead of mee kathung). This is confusing for me because I only know some of the dishes by their Khmer names but when I talked to the waitress and gave her the Khmer names, she obviously knew what I was talking about and was able to help me out. We got: Special Mee Kathung (Cambodian Style Chow Fun) - Stir fried flat rice noodles with beef, shrimp, squid, and chinese broccoli in a thick gravy. The noodles and beef have a little bit of char on them from being cooked at a high temperature which is the sign of a good stir fried rice noodle. The thick gravy and seafood really make the dish. Comfort food at it's finest. Chicken Cha Kreoung (Lemongrass stir-fry Chicken) - I didn't see this on the menu but when I asked the waitress she said they had it. Chicken, onions, and bell-peppers with a tangy lemongrass curry sauce. Bok Lahong (Green papaya salad) - Pungent, spicy, and sour; this is the total package. It totally blows the Western style papaya salads that you might get at your local Thai restaurant out of the water. It comes with dry shrimp, and if you like spicy food make sure to ask for it spicy, they will not hold back. This is a small gem of delicious Cambodian food in a beautiful neighborhood right by Revere Beach. Dine in, or take out and go eat by the beach. A great experience regardless.

Yelp
Love this place, quality food every time I order! Great service always :) Love the shrimp chow foon and tiger tears super delicious

Yelp
Amazing food! Even better service! I will definitely be back to have a delicious bowl of seafood rice soup and spring rolls. The ingredients are fresh, and you can tell with every bite! Come and enjoy the authenticity! Yummy!

Yelp
This is the only Cambodian restaurant in revere. I been living in Lowell for 29 years and maybe it's not what I'm used too but the mekathang is nowhere near what my taste bud is used too. It was flavorless and felt like they just added whatever in there. I'll probably try again with other food hopefully the food will be better.

Yelp
Thai Tom Yum soup with white, beef loc lac with white rice and my favorite drunken noodle any meat is the best these three are my go-to delicious meal

Yelp
First time trying Cambodian food and I must say that I am impressed. This place is definitely a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. Nothing fancy at all. The stains on the door and the dirty tables will probably scare most away but I don't mind. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right??? Maybe not. I was being brave today as my son picked food up off the table! I recommend ordering to go rather than dining there if you cannot stand small, crowded and not clean restaurants. I recommend the following: For appetizers: Their spicy beef salad, Tiger Tears. It has thinly sliced seared beef over a bed of sliced red and green bell peppers, red onion, basil leaf, kafir lime leaves and dressed in a salty sweet and sour fish sauce. If you can handle a fermented shrimp paste dressing, the mint and beef salad is also delicious. A mix of beef, bean sprouts, red and green peppers, red onions, green eggplants and Vietnamese coriander. The bite size egg rolls stuffed with taro and pork which comes with a dish sauce dipping. Taro smoothie is standard. And so is the crispy beef noodle. Can't wait to try more items on the menu. See my pictures.

Yelp
Been going to this place for yearsss!! Went in today because I was in the mood for some pho soup. I feel EXTREMELY DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED!!! Me and husband both had soup and right before I was about to take a bite I noticed a maggot, I brought it to the attention of the server and she took it back and just asked if I wanted another one... never again am I going back to this place and this still charged for one of the soups... if you go here 'HEADS UP' please make sure to check your food before eating it!!!! Definitely taking this to city hall and show them pictures they need to get health inspection in their restaurant!

Yelp
Came here for a friend's bday and had a good time. I never had Cambodian food before so I didn't have anything to compare it to. I'll start off by saying the service was great. Our server was really friendly and very accommodating to our large group. The apps we had tasted different from what I've had before. The taro filled spring rolls had a really hard crust with a nice mild taro filling. The best dish we had were the tiger tears- really well seasoned and the best I've had in the Boston area. The stir fried chow Foon was cooked well in the different preparations we ordered. Definitely a different experience and worth checking out !

Yelp
Love this place. The pork larb is OUTSTANDING, as are the drunken noodles. Really nice service and great location close to Revere Beach - it's the perfect place to go for dinner after a day at the beach.

Yelp
My partner and I eat here all the time, sometimes three times a week. We love this place! It's family run so you need to understand that before dining here. Sometimes it takes a while but it's well worth the way. Their flavors are consistent and they always deliver amazing service. This is our favorite restaurant in town! We like the spicy chili beef and loc lac, the lot rolls are great. They are tiny but they give you more than enough to share in one order. We've also tried the soup and it's great! Definitely a little different than Pho (obviously but I just want to clarify in case you're curious), but still tons of flavor and the serving is huge. It's also very reasonably priced. We know we are getting quality for our price.

Jenn N.

Yelp
Oh my god, I have been searching for a Cambodian restaurant that's close to Boston and I have finally found it. Loved all the food here and would definitely come back!! We had some noodle soups, a stir fry noodle, and the beef loklak. If you have never had Cambodian food and feel intimidated, don't be! The dishes, to me, are similar to Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai food. I think everything tasted amazing and nothing felt overly oily or salty either. Also try the lot rolls! Tastes just like how my mom makes them. Amazing! Service was also good. There's only street parking as far as I know.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. You could tell the food is made with a lot love and care, my favorite dish is the Chow Foon.
google avatar

Yelp
Family run business with pride in their community. I would eat here once a week if I lived closer. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Where u can taste the most traditional asia food, Thai yellow noodle. Their soup base is some great with fresh beef. Spring roll is also a highlight dish, comes with their home special sauce. Beverages are average level for me.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
Anytime I am nearby I get the tiger tears and their version of pad thai. Really wish they delivered!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Got the spicy chicken with rice. Chicken is well flavored and given enough rice. Dish is just chicken and rice, no vegetables or sauces of any kind. Service was excellent, gives a great name for mom and pop shops to see server trying to make everyone happy :). Next time, I'll probably try the beef dish or a noodle dish!
google avatar

Yelp
I was in area and tired of oysters, chowders and fried clams. So I decided to try something different and stop for lunch at Thmor Da and so happy I did. I had the A1 soup and the fish curry dip with veggies and both were delicious!

Yelp
I've spent my childhood eating Cambodian food in Lowell, and I've also had it in Long Beach California, and in Cambodia, so the three major populations of khmer people. Other than these locations, I've never really seen authentic Cambodian food anywhere else. Moving to Revere, I lamented the 50 minute drive I would need to take to get it. However, little that I know, Revere actually had a small cambodian population even before Lowell did, and Thmor Da is evidence of that. Came here for lunch, and it did remind me of the hole in the wall places in Lowell. It was in the afternoon around 2 on a sunday, and the place was relatively empty. There looked to be about ten tables for 2-4 people, with only one or two tables occupied when I got there. I was greeted and quickly seated by the lone waiter there. Unfortunately, the menu isn't labeled with distinctly cambodian names for the dishes, but I was able to parse what I wanted. It also helped that i knew the names of what I wanted in my limited command of the language. Mei Phnom Peng Ko, is basically the equivalent of a Vietnamese pho dac biet, but used egg noodles instead, and was served dry with the soup on the side. Its served with shrimp, squid, fish cake, chicken, beef and liver. The garlicky, oily flavor reminded me of home, and definitely hit the spot. It wasn't an overly greasy dish either. The spring rolls were also made fresh, and they brewed my ice coffee on the spot. Though this might be because being in the middle of winter, one wouldn't expect an order for ice coffee. From a price point, I was a little surprised at the $18 dollar bill, and with tip, that was $21. However, I did order more than I would usually get for lunch. All in all, I'm excited to go back and order try the other options.

Yelp
Food is highly authentic! I wish they were on the delivery apps! Please someone tell me if they are.

Yelp
Loc lac and me ka thang was alright... special fried rice no so great ... portions very small for the price of food ... stingy with the sauce .. I paid 50$ ...

Yelp
Nothing fancy here except for comforting food exploding with flavor!! This little spot in revere is a hidden local gem. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by the very friendly waiter. He's very attentive and nice, willing to tell you all about the menu! We also essentially had a big meal for two for $36!! Way to go cheap eats!! Now, for the food. As others have mentioned, tiger tears is the star of the show. This beef dish is considered a salad as it's mixed with all sorts of herbs and spices and lots of peppers for texture. The spicy, salty, sour flavors mix perfectly with the tender beef. Also couldn't resist the beef loc lak, chunks of well seasoned beef cooked medium rare served with your choice of white rice or fried rice. White rice is the way to go to get the most out of the flavors. Don't forget to pour that lemon pepper sauce over it all, it just completes the dish. This is comfort food at its best. Mango salad with pork and shrimp is very good too but the pork is very minimal and lacks a bit in flavor. The egg rolls or lot rolls weren't what I expected but still tasty. They're bite sized and filled with lots of taro and a subtle pork flavor.

J M.

Yelp
Possibly the best meal I've had since coming to Boston 5 years ago. It's a minuscule hole in the wall joint with few tables, but each dish that we had was flavorful and well spiced. We asked them to make the papaya salad spicy, and it was! One of the spiciest (and tastiest) things I've had in a while. For those unfamiliar with Khmer cuisine, come check this place out. If you like Southeast Asian or Yunnanese kind of stuff, you won't be disappointed. Note: closes at 8 pm!

Yelp
This place is definitely a gem. The restaurant is pretty small but the food there is amazing. The service is great. The workers are so friendly and attentive. Every dish I order is never a disappointment. My favorite is k3 cambodian sweet & sour soup the choice of chicken and shrimp with white rice. The mango salad is also amazing. The price is a plus everything is cheap!. If you want cambodian food this is the spot to go!.
google avatar

Robo T.

Yelp
A yummy cambodian food experience! The Tiger Tears app is AMAZINGLY delicious. Its strips of marinated beef with peppers onions and maybe lime? correander? served cold. I dont know whats in it but the flavor is just.... WOW. The loc lac beef is delicious (just dont get the deep fried version). Also try the spicy quail. Its a lot of work sucking the meat off those tiny bones (see my uploaded pic) but its delicious and worth it. The staff are nice and helpful and very attentive. Also... they have mountain dew in cans. HELLO!! Thats an added star right there :-D

Yelp
It's really hard to find authentic Cambodian food like this and it's definitely the best I've tried compared to the others in the area. Best papaya salad around the Boston area. If you like REALLY spicy food, definitely ask them to make the papaya salad extra spicy for more of a kick. Their Beef Loc Lac rice plate is really good as well. Although it's a simple dish, there are places that cook the beef too well-done or there's too much sauce they stir-fried it in. For $3 you can get a good amount of mini egg rolls, which was delicious. Usually most places charge you $4 (more or less) for just 2 egg rolls. The prices isn't bad at all. The service was good. Only thing is, is that I'm not too fond of the location, but that's not too much of an issue. Also, it used to be the old Floating Rock and the food is just as good as the previous owners! **Also, they DO accept credit cards!!

Yelp
I'm so sad, I crave for "tiger tears" like everyday. wehhhhhhh its thin slices of beef with thin slices of onions, peppers, and magic. ughsss The chow foon is also very good. The portions are perfect. We always finish everything. The thai tea... ehh I can taste the freezer burn from the ice.

Yelp
This is a solid mom and pop neighborhood joint whose offering will satisfy all. We ordered the special egg noodle soup, salted fish curry and seafood stir fry. All we amazing. The soup was in a beef broth with fish cake, imitation crab, beef balls, rare round eye and bits of brisket. The long curly egg noodles were cooked perfectly, but the broth was a bit on the warm side whereas I would have preferred it piping hot. The salted fish curry had the perfect balance of spicy savory. The dish did have ground pork which was a head scratcher because we were not expecting the combo to work well together, but surprisingly they did. On the side was jasmine rice, fresh veggies and lime to tie all the flavors together. Lastly, the stir fried veggies and seafood rounded out the square meal. Think pepper steak at your usual Chinese take out now add every seafood into the mix. The shrimp, scallops, squid and crab went well with the rice and pepper. I will definitely be back for more!!!

Yelp
I ordered the Mee ga thung/ ladnah, it's stir fry wide noodles with a thick gravy sauce, not sure what they have it as on their menu, with an egg on top. I was really hungry so at first it was delicious then after a few bites I notice some parts was plain. It was good but not great. I would still try it out again because I just got to make sure it's as good as people say it is. It's a hit and miss, And I just had one of those days where the chef didn't feel working, that's my luck! I hit everything but the lottery! Lol

Yelp
solid. food was spot on for my Cambodian taste buds. I moved to Boston a little over a month ago and started to miss me some home cookin, but Momma's house was more than 3,000 miles away. yelped around and found that this place was right next by a T stop. Sa-weet! - okay, so it was still about a 45 minute train ride away, but desperate times..... papaya salad - i asked for medium so the spice level was just right beef sticks - a bit thin on the meat, but flavor was good. spicy chicken stir fry thing? - good spices, but they could chillax on the sodium. a few less shakes of the salt jar would have made it even more yum. overall, good experience. craving fulfilled. probably have to make a return visit (or two) since i have to wait another two and half months before i can go visit mi madre back home.

Yelp
Location: Parking is easy enough to find on a weeknight. Mostly metered spaces that stop needing coins after 5pm. If before, I suggest parking at the wonderland plaze and do a little shopping at big lots and marshalls before doing a short hike over to Thmor Da, will help work up a little appetite! Food: Tiger Tears (3.5 stars really) Had to try this since this seems to be a popular choice with fellow yelpers. Took about 10mins to come out and presentation wise, looks delicious. The glistening peppers and onions and lemon grass aromas was phenomenol. The server had suggested rice to go along with it and I definitely agreed. I first tried a few peppers and onions and the crisp crunch confirmed the freshness of the veggies in the dish. The light, tangy, sweet spicy sauce clinging to the veggies definitely was a blast of flavors that would not make this a boring dish. The spice level is actually medium in my opinion so I didn't need much water and could eat continuously without having to stop and rest. - The beef on there other hand was too tough. It was bit overcooked so I had a rough time chewing. One piece I couldn't chew through so had to grind a bit to just swallow. That was realy the only part of the meal that was unsatisfactory. If they could either just make the beef a bit more rare or tenderize it a little more, that would make it perfect. I love the lemongrass in the dish, really does give it the flair you associate with Thai/Camdodian food. Overall, a great spicy dish Inside: Eight tables with four chairs to a table. They took 2 and put together in the back to form a longer table for 6-8 people. There is a lcd tv that they had tuned to the food network, was watching man vs food at the time. Service: One waitress, brought me water initially and check in every so often. Overall: Would come back to try other dishes.
