Great food, good taste, well packed. Comes with microwave safe packaging. Quantity is generous. Price is reasonable. We ordered Pad Thai chicken and Green curry with fried rice. Both enjoyable and we had leftovers.

A solid Thai restaurant with all the typical dishes. Could handle it being spicier. Nice crispy duck, savory curry. Not really a big fan of deep fried fish, a bit on the small side too. All in all a good meal, would come back again.

I work near this area and for a while now I’ve been coming here alone and with coworkers . The atmosphere here is so relaxing so as you’re having a stressful day you can come here for lunch and decompress a bit. The food as always is on point and very filling . Especially the lunch special! It’s a perfect combination with its entrees and appetizers! Must I say the workers here are always super sweet and friendly. They never let your water glass go empty! Definitely recommend!

The sever, Sherry was very nice and kind. I ordered Pad Thai w/ chicken and Fried golden bag for an appetizer. All food were so good and satisfied.

Very satisfied with the taste and portion size of Thai takeout from Thonglor, which may have gotten a new owner or chef since the old Red Basil? Green curry is tasty and includes nice large chunks of eggplant and bamboo shoots. Noodle dishes like pad kee mao and pad see ew have generous portion of noodles. We normally order from Pochana but have a new favorite in Thonglor, which costs slightly more but you definitely get a larger portion and good quality in return.

I got the chicken pad Thai and vegetable tom yum soup. Very delicious! Sherry was a great server, very friendly and made me feel very welcome 😁

Found this little hide out in Astoria close to me. Been coming here ever since. The food is amazing, love the Pai Thai, chicken curry, chicken teriyaki and thai iced tea. Atmosphere is great! I tried Thai pink milk, little bit sweet but it tastes good. I liked it. Friendly place.

Great experience! I got the lunch special Drunken Noodle+crab rangoon which was a great value-- for about $13 I got a delicious meal. The service was fast and very kind. I took my meal takeout, but the interior was clean and nice. Would highly recommend!

Yato enjoys this place. Shocker, since Astoria is a dead town for flavor and enjoyment of the tongue. However, this place? Solid. Yato enjoys. Yato really likes the noodle option of spaghetti. It works. Why don't other places try to be different like here? Yato likes different. But different in a good way. Not different like Mom's Kitchen or Queen's Comfort that is different but BLAH. I would rather punch myself in the face then eat at those two. But here? I like. Especially the Thai ice tea. Best one in the neighborhood.

The food looks like it's tasty in photos but it's okay. The mocktails have potential in terms of flavor combinations but they taste very artificial. The service was good.

I had an issue with food ordered. There was a bead in the food. I bit into it and almost chipped my tooth. I will never order from this restaurant again. I don't understand how a bead can end up into the food. Makes me wonder what else is in the food I am eating.

Thonglor is a place for comfort Thai food. Located in the heart of Astoria on a busy street on Steinway, Thonglor is tucked away amongst other popular restaurants. There was plenty of seating when we got there on a weekday night and the ambiance was more relaxed. Their pad Thai was delicious and affordable. You can customize it by adding your own source of protein on top which comes with additional pricing. Service was fast and waitresses were friendly. I would come back again if I was looking for quick, delicious, Thai food. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 4/5

Short review: Order the duck or fish. The rest of the food is fine. Rating is for the area only. On the Upper East/Queens, this would be a 3. Went here with one of my usual groups a good while ago so I actually don't remember too much. Service was friendly. I had a iced tea which was definitely a bit too sweet compared the usual. There's an abundance of bell peppers on the menu which isn't exactly common in traditional Thai cuisine but the flavors were fine. The Beef Jungle Dried Curry had a good amount of meat with sauteed dried curry, bell peppers, string beans, bamboo, and basil had a good amount of meat and was well spiced. The Vegetable Green Curry with eggplant, bamboo shoots, basil, and bell pepper was alright though a bit sweet. The Chicken Drunk Man Noodle (which is a humorous translation of pad ke mao) with sauteed flat noodles with egg, bell pepper, onion, and fresh basil in a spicy chili sauce was good with a bit of spice. The stars of the meal were the fish and the duck. The Whole Fish Mango Salad with a whole crispy red snapper with a mango sauce had a nice presentation with a very well fried fish. It wasn't fried too much that the fish flavor couldn't be tasted but enough that it was crispy and delicious with the mango salad added some good sweetness and sourness. The best of the night was the Duck Panang Curry with half a duck, bell pepper, and string beans in a Panang/Phaenang curry sauce. Well spiced with a very crispy tasty duck though it was missing the avocado listed. The duck in the Fried Rice Tom Yum with onion, scallion, egg, mushroom, and tomato with chili paste was also similarly well made though the rice could have used more flavor. We went with the Lava Chocolate Cake afterwards which was alright. It was served with matcha ice cream which was a nice touch. Food here is fine. Prices are low and the flavors are fine. If this was in let's say Elmhurst, I'd round up to a 3 but for this area, 3.5 rounded up for prices and service.

Finally the best Pad See Ew in LIC, New York!! My colleague and I order food from here Definitely recommend the Chicken Pad See Ew !!!

I hate to give them such a poor review but the last few times I ate there I can literally feel small grains of sands or dirt as I chew. It's the same feeling you get when you eat at the beach and some sand gets in your mouth. It's an awful feeling that you don't want to feel when eating at a restaurant. I just get veggie fried rice so not sure if they aren't washing their veggies good enough or what but I can't eat there anymore.

Came in here on a whim because husband and I were starving. It's a small, cozy and dimmed spot. The food is fresh, absolutely delicious with generous portions. The only thing that we wouldn't get again are the scallion pancakes, they were not the scallion pancakes that were used to, but they were ok. Service was great and made us feel like returning some time soon!

Ordered delivery from here for lunch the other day and it was great! The lunch special is $16-$17 and comes with a ton of food: appetizer, choice of soup or salad, entree (which was a large portion) and a drink. The food was high quality I will definitely be ordering again in the future.

Good value lunch specials! Food: I ordered a few items from here and overall the food is good, especially if you consider the price! I tried the drunk man lunch special with Thai dumplings! This was drunken noodles - I didn't think it was amazing, but not bad! It was not very spicy though! I tried the side walk lunch special - it is pad Kraw Pao- which is the grounded chicken! It was pretty good! Much sweeter than normal but still good! I got this with the golden bag, which is essentially the Thai dumpling but fried. I also got the basil fried rice lunch special, which was my favorite! It had a delicious flavor! The best thing on the menu is the curry puffs. You need to get the curry puffs! This is not included on the lunch special but worth the extra order! Price: great lunch special prices! The app and the entree is less than $15 - I highly recommend! Portion sizes are good and filling!

This great gem in the heart of Steinway street is a place you do not want to miss. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious and the staff are very nice. I will be coming back again!

I went here to try the dining but when I won't use the restroom they don't allow the customers to use the restroom anymore. I don't know their food taste now and seems they change some of their menus. The manager or owner seems to look grumpy. Oh, and there is no ac even though it's hot out there.

Delicious Thai food! The service is nice and the restaurant makes you feel welcome and is a very nice place. The ambiance is quite relaxing and is usually not very busy. The Chicken Pad See Ew is absolutely AMAZING and the Pad Thai is delicious as well! It's an amazing little place and has some of the best Thai food that I've ever had.

Quaint little spot on Steinway with stellar food and excellent service. Lunch special of 1 free appetizer runs all days of the week which is great. Got the tofu massaman curry and sweat and sour chicken with Tom yum soup and crab rangoons. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and tasted great. Veggies were crunchy, cooked to perfection. Iced tea was delicious, not overtly sweet -got the mango and lychee ones, both were good. Macaroons were a little too small but yum. Great service, didn't wait more than 5 minutes for our food to arrive on a weekend afternoon. Highly recommend this place.

Thonglor used to be our favorite Thai spot. However, we ordered it tonight and our usual dishes are different and definitely not as good. The sauce on both the Basil noodles and Drunk Man noodles was different, and both had big chunks of tomato in them when they've never included tomato before. We usually get mixed seafood on one dish and the fish included is different than usual. Additionally, some of our favorite apps are no longer on the menu. Does anyone know if this place is under new ownership?!

I have ordered delivery from this restaurant twice and the food is excellent. The portions are generous and the prices are not too high. My favorite is the spicy Basil Chicken. The sauce is so flavorful and the vegetables are crunchy. The Spring Rolls are also great. The food has always arrived hot and on time, and the delivery people have been very nice. I'll have to dine-in sometime to check out the ambiance of the place. Two thumbs up!

Not perfect but really good, 3.5 stars and definitely worth the trip. The food cost ranges from $12 and up with drinks at $5 dollars with $2 canned sodas. They don't serve alcohol and the space seems new and clean. Btw, I don't think they have a bathroom, although I could be crazy and completely missed it but the place is small (15 seats total?). My score is just the average of my 2 visits. I was drawn in thanks to their fantastic 7 days per week, 11:00a-3:45p lunch specials. Their dine in portions are substantial but between the 2 separate mains I got there was a noticeable difference. 1st visit I got the drunken man noodle and it was bland and greasy with not a lot of chicken. 2nd visit I got the pad thai and it was more flavorful and less greasy with more chicken. Both times I got their veggie tom yom soup as an app and the broth was great both times with a healthy portion of veggies, albeit a bit undercooked. However, the 1st time I received it in a large soup bowl while the 2nd visit I received a small soup bowl. In conclusion, worth the price and visit. Will try again and see if I can update the review.

I love Thai food in Astoria but I was eager to find a new spot to try. I found Thonglor via a Yelp search and I really enjoyed my lunch. I got the Drunk Man lunch special with chicken, spring rolls, and an order of scallion pancakes. Everything tasted delicious - the noodles had just the right amount of heat and the appetizers were fried well (although I wish the scallion pancakes were less crispy). What I appreciated was that the food was piping hot - I hate when food has been waiting around to be brought to the table. Not at Thonglor - the food came out at just the right time. I will definitely be back.

I ordered delivery and the process was fairly simple. They do charge $2 extra for chicken but they had a $2 off promo on UberEats so it worked out. My Pad Thai was packed really well and portions were generous. However, I felt the flavor was missing as the dish was mostly rice noodles. If they could add more sauce to the dish, then it would be a solid Thai place. For $16, I expected better.

All I can say is GET THE CURRY PUFFS. They are delicious and even though there's only 3 of them, they are a culinary masterpiece. That being said, this versatile Thai restaurant has a variety of quality dishes that include all the typical red/green/panang/massaman curries to pricier salmon specialties. I adore almost every single one of their dishes and must admit their green curry is everything I look for in a green curry - the perfect ratio of bamboo shoots to a healthy dose of the meat of my choice. While I wish their macarons were less than $6 for two (let's be honest, only specialty macaron places should hit above $2.50 per macaron), everything was so delicious I didn't even care. Also Thai tea macarons seemed pretty novel, and dang did I taste the thai tea! I would say it's worth it if you're genuinely curious about what their uniquely flavored macarons taste like. Service was also great - we got a seat next to the open window and we were served promptly. The food is very freshly cooked and the restaurant has these dividers that make you feel Covid-safe (though we now have shot #2).

Despite Thonglor being one of the more well known Thai restaurants in Astoria, they are thoroughly operated, even overcharging for their lunch specials. I ordered a lunch special last year and was overcharged by $10 for the misu soup. Inside the restaurant is not that clean, and I remember having to go through the kitchen to reach the washrooms. All in a poor experience. I will not be back.

The serving size is really good. I had food for the next day. I was very happy for the amount of vegetables they included and how many shrimp I got ! They weren't super small shrimp either and were seasoned well. I will say, they were not lying about it being spicy. Delicious options and were worth the price due to the amount of rice, vegetables, and shrimp.

Stopped by for their lunch specials and ordered the Panang Curry with Crab Rangoon. Really enjoyed!

I often order delivery takeout food from here via doordash and grubhub and if never disappoints. The service here is also super great as one time the delivery guy accidentally delivered my food to the wrong address and they were super accommodating.

I order from here all the time and love their food and portions. But today I had the worst Tom Yum Noodle soup...the noodle to soup ratio was bad It was more like a stir fry not a soup. It had a different taste today, I usually get tomyum soup for that spicy, non greasy flavor but today it tasted so greasy and barely spicy for some reason.

We came to this restaurant just to try a dIfferent Thai food. I found the place via Google and saw many positive reviews. It turns out the restaurant is across from the karaoke that I went many weeks ago. It was quite emptty that chilly night and nobody there, but they were busy handling delivery and takeout orders. First we had the Thai salad which was very good. The salad dressing was a bit sweet though. Then Hubby ordered Pad See Eew with chicken and I had Drunkman noodle with seafood. I like the generosity of the restaurant. They gave me enough seafood to enjoy with my noodle. The taste was pretty delicious. The entrees were very good but I found them to be quite sweet. Hubby liked his dish very much. I would like to try a different dish next time. The place is quite small, enough to accommodate 10-12 people but we noticed their business depends a lot on delivery and takeout.
