The workers there are very kind & attentive. There’s a good mix of seating & dark/non-dark areas depending on what vibe you want for working, studying, or chatting with people. Plenty of areas with outlets as well. I love the seasonal cold foams they come out with for their matcha drinks. Depending on who makes your drink, however, the amount of foam you get can vary greatly. No matter though. Overall, I love coming here when I’m in the area to get some work done or study.

This coffee shop is an absolute gem! The coffee is delicious, and the adorable cups add a charming touch. The ambiance is perfect for working or studying, with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The only minor downsides are the limited power outlets and the chilly spots near the windows. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot that I’d definitely recommend!

Google
I tried their lavender matcha and it was honestly so good — super smooth, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. You can really taste the quality of the matcha with just the right touch of lavender. Plus, it’s right by the 606, so it’s the perfect spot to grab a drink and enjoy a nice walk after. Definitely a new favorite!

Excellent products. Coffee was fantastic. Very reasonably priced. My wife went nuts over the quiche thought it's the best she's had.

Google
One of the best cortado in all of Chicago! It was served in a beautiful mini ceramic mug. Super nice servers that offer up a free bowl of cereal with your dine in order.

Google
Cute third wave coffeeshop. Definitely a fruity more acidic flavor profile but quite nice if you like a lighter roast. The ceramics were really beautiful and the overall vibe of the shop was great.

Google
Really adorable coffee shop right by the 606. Great for working from home: good WiFi, accessible outlets. When the weather is nice they open up the doors and a lovely breeze comes through

Long Holiday Weekends, closed on Mondays, what’s up with that? ! ! Fortunately across the street is one of Chicagos best coffee roasters in the city. Since changing from Hugo tea shop years ago I’ve made at least 5 attempts, I’m done. Too many other Coffee Roasters to explore- Sorry third, I’m am done.

Yelp
As a professional Santa Claus (and Yelp Elite) I traveled to thrd coffee from the western 'burbs this past Saturday for a fine gig. (Got to present the engagement ring to a future groom so he could present it to his future bride! So awesome!) Time only allowed for a few sips of awesome coffee from awesome Lily, but what a cool shop! So clean and inviting. I should have stuck around and greeted more folks, but it was a warm Sepptember Saturday for a Santa suit and besides, it was The Couples' morning, I was simply an accessory. (Last December, a santa walked into thrd where they had their first 'date' and the future groom wanted me to help re-create that moment.) But one day, I will take Mrs Claus to thrd! Give it a try! It has a very friendly, low key, welcoming vibe. And the sweets had Santa practically drooling--not a good look with a real beard like mine! (Check out: santaexperiencechicago.com

Yelp
A great place to grab your pre-606 coffee. The interior is cute and pink, but the back tends to be crowded. Work here at your own risk! -AD

Yelp
Thrd has cultivated a cute image with their simple but beautiful interior and their ceramic mugs and plates. I can tell they derive inspiration from many other popular shops nationwide, and I appreciate the vision. However, the actual experience of visiting Thrd falls short of its portrayed vision. While my chai latte and tiramisu brownie were excellent, my cappuccino was disappointingly lukewarm. Most disappointing though is the number of people who come to this location to attend virtual classes and meetings, so it's a very annoying mix of customers talking into their computers. While I understand some people enjoy working from coffee shops, there should be policy against open calls. Personally, I prefer coffee shops with a more relaxing, quiet, less We Work- like environment.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop! I ordered my drinks to go so I haven't spent much time inside. The cafe looks very spacious with tables in the back and lots of counter space. Their menu is pretty self explanatory. They have their specialty drinks listed near check-out. I got the oreo latte for myself and a vanilla matcha latte for my friend. Both were just ok. My oreo latte just tasted like I was drinking chocolate milk with oreo bits. My friend said her matcha was super milky too and lacking flavor.

Yelp
I have been on a coffee shop kick and have been trying a lot of local places in the area. I really wanted to like this place but it fell kind of flat compared to some of the other places. First off, the barista taking our order was not nice at all...come on we're in Chicago not New York! Where's the Midwest charm? Second, the fact that they charge you a whole dollar extra to switch from whole to skim milk seems excessive, especially when whole milk costs more and the barista didn't even tell us. The upcharge is also not listed on the menu. We didn't have a good experience here which was a shame since it looks like such a great place. Our vanilla lattes were fine but the vibes were off.

Yelp
The baristas are very friendly. The space is bright and cute and good for pictures. Latte and espresso tonic drinks are good but nothing special though.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful cup of drip coffee during my dog walk. I always miss this coffee shop being open. For whatever reason, I typically do this walk on Monday and they are closed on Mondays. I was happy that they were open and I could grab a hot cup of Joe while walking my dog. The drip coffee rotates and on this occasion it was a lightly roasted. I enjoyed my coffee and the temperature was just right. The cafe is so cute and bright. They offer plenty of seating inside and outside. This cafe is conveniently located off the 606. Glad to have this dog friendly cafe right off the 606. My dog enjoyed the fresh water and doggie treat

Yelp
What a cute cafe! My friends and I met up here for coffee and to catch up and it was a fun space. The staff member was so nice and welcoming. There are bar seats and tables available so it's a great spot to work. They also serve a few pastries and empanadas. I got a honey latte and a chorizo empanada. The honey latte was good, I loved the cups that the coffee comes in. The empanada was also delicious! I wish that it was warmed up though - next time I would ask if they could possibly warm it up for me. Parking can be hard to find if there are no open spots because there are a lot of closed off bike lanes but if you're taking public transportation, it's pretty accessible!

Yelp
When I visited my bff in Chicago last year, we went walking around and stumbled upon this cute place. I was in the mood for some tea and she was for coffee and we went in. The place smelted so good and the atmosphere was chill and cute inside. The staff was amazing!! Everyone was nice and gave us good suggestions. I got the ice chai and she got an ice coffee I believe. I wanted skim milk but they didn't have it, so I did almond and for someone who doesn't like almond milk it was pretty good. I'm not a coffee drinker but my friend's coffee was delicious as well. The prices were a little high but honestly, everything is getting high, so I didn't think much of it. If you're looking for a nice quite spot to do work, I'll definitely work here. I'll definitely come back to this cute place. If anyone is near, I highly recommend this coffee spot.

Yelp
I got Lavender Matcha and I only tasted lavender, not matcha. Friend's Yuzu Tonic Espresso was much more well made, interesting and refreshing. I would still return to try a more traditional coffee drink. No issues with service. I really like the clean, modern interior. Lot of seating available.

Yelp
I got a pour over which is was pretty decent. For the price of $5 I believe it was a good deal. My cousin got a latte he wasn't a big fan of. The dessert or bakery portion was pretty good but nothing special. I would give this place honestly a 3.5 if I remember right (bathroom was not clean), but I'll give it a 4 cause the drink itself was pretty decent. We had some outdoor seating. And the staff was nice. They offered free cereal to snack on which was nice of them

Yelp
Cool new spot! Cold brew tasted really nice. I ordered a tonic espresso, & it wasn't my favorite. But the space is nice, workers were nice. I'd come back & try something else probably. You can get a bowl of cereal if you want which is kinda fun.

Yelp
Came by on a Sunday morning before a walk on the 606. It was pretty busy so the line so take a while. I went with their iced vanilla latte. It was perfect. Not too sweet but just right. Seems like a nice place to get some work done with a lot of seating available.

Yelp
rly good coffee , rly bad service. the barista who took our order was quite rude and unfriendly. we came around 2/2:30pm; they close at 4pm and she was acting like we showed up at 3:59pm with 100 coffee orders and im not quite sure why. the espresso is genuinely good though - i just got a latte & it was rly yummy. i also think they have cereal at the bar which is rlly fun!

Yelp
Excellent coffee and an open, welcome atmosphere make this coffee shop one of my go-to spots in the neighborhood! I recommend bringing your laptop or book, grabbing a table in the back, and warming up with a hot Cafe Honey!

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop with yummy drinks. I got the blueberry matcha and it was delicious!! The ambiance is great to do work in. They have bar seating that is very comfortable and has plenty seating.

Yelp
I'm such a sucker for cute cafes like this one. This hidden gem is perfect for those wanting to actually get work done in an aesthetically pleasing space. The wall art is instagrammable af and was what drew me to the space. There's not much seating, but this wasn't an issue as the place wasn't packed. The cafe was quiet and peaceful, its patrons typing away silently on their laptops, hard at work. It was the perfect space to be productive! I wasn't distracted by loud chattering or booming music coming from the stereos. The drinks themselves were ok. I got a matcha latte, and it was decent but nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the almost $7 I paid for it. If not planning to spend more than 5 mins soaking up the zen atmosphere or to get work done, I would skip this cafe and look elsewhere as it is not worth stopping by for the drinks alone. But for someone who loves working in cafes like me, Thrd Coffee is def going into my most frequented cafe rotation.

K K.

Yelp
Drinks were great! I loved the ambiance as well, but whoever was working today in the morning was very rude, she had a very snappy attitude and I felt rushed to order because of it.

Yelp
A great space to have coffee, study, and/or hang with a friend or two. I enjoyed my oat milk latte (prepared in a cute ceramic mug) and it was really easy to find seating. The baristas were super friendly as well, which is a plus in my book!

Yelp
I walked past here while walking to the wicker park fest. I needed a little extra caffeine and it looked like a cool spot. You can tell it's new from the clean, fresh interior. I pretty much always get cold brew in the summer so that's what I got. I always get a splash of oat milk in my coffee as my creamer. This spot charged me $1.00 extra for a splash of oat milk. That's RIDICULOUS. I totally get charging extra for a latte or something with alternative milk or maybe a quarter or something, but an extra dollar is not acceptable. It was over $7 for my cold brew, and I'm a coffee snob, but that's too much considering how many other good spots are around here. The cold brew was good but nothing special from the other coffee shops in the neighborhood that have good cold brew. I won't be back.

Yelp
I'm always down to try new coffee shops, and this one was great! I read on their website that it's Latin owned, and the owner started it during covid! The vibe is super cute. It was very quiet and not packed at all. It would be a great place to get work done. I had the cafe olle (I think or something with a similar name). I'd equate it to a horchata latte. It was perfect! Not too sweet and full of cinnamon flavor. My husband liked his cold brew and donut he had. I hope the buzz on this place gets out because it was great!

Yelp
Brand new on on Milwaukee Ave at the 606--right where Bucktown, Wicker Park and Logan Square collide. Saw this place pop up on Google Maps and found they had been open just under a week. This is the former Hugo Tea spot. It looks like they kept some of the same ambiance with painted white brick and light wood, but it's a great look so feeling it. I especially like the mini skylight courtyard in the middle which is too small to have tables but lets in some sunlight in the back. This place was already full on the Friday morning I stopped by, so wow, I guess they're not going to have trouble even with Ipsento 606 literally across the street. Plenty of room in Chi-town for another trendy cafe lol. Drip coffee is a medium-roast Columbian I'm told--it had some nice brightness. Donuts are from Rosier's Bakery. Not mad. No outdoor seating here, but the indoor seating includes the long bar which is actually wide enough for laptops and has backs on the chairs, plus addition 6-7 additional tables in the back. Service team was very friendly when I walked in and I appreciated that they have real non-landfill ceramic mugs and plates.

Yelp
Fair local spot. Short food and iced tea menu. I got an iced herbal tea and it was refreshing. Nice patio if you are walking around in the area

Yelp
Very cute and thoughtfully designed cafe. I'm sad I can't give them a good review because the staff were genuinely so nice and chatty. I'm hoping I just came at an off time or when their brick and mortar location was still relatively new. Between me and my friend, we ordered a matcha and a latte but both were incredibly watered down and sadly tasted predominantly of milk.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Cute space but the coffee tasted burnt and there was no attempt for latte art which for the price of the latte, it just isn't worth it.
google avatar

Lily A.

Yelp
I stumbled across this place when I was hitting up some vintage stores and i'm glad I did! The cafe itself is so cute and aesthetic, and the barista was really sweet and helpful. The drinks themselves were good, and I was happy with the lavender matcha I ordered (though I feel like it was a little on the pricier side). This cafe would make a great study spot, and I hope to come by again!

Yelp
First time at Thrd Coffee today. Friendly staff, lots of space, good cold brew! Would come back again!

Yelp
I can shed some light on Santa's (Bill H) post. One day last December, Thrd Coffee hired a Santa for photos with kids (clever idea!). That day also happened to be the first date of my now fiancée and me. We loved that Santa visit and talked about our 'Santa date' from time to time. So I decided to recreate the Santa experience last Saturday and asked Bill H. to show up in full costume, make a few Santa-esque comments, and present me with the ring. Needless to say, Thrd Coffee staff have a big heart and went out of their way to be my secret collaborators. All along, they were very accommodating, generous with their time, and were just high-class professionals. All this and fantastic coffee too and a warm and inviting space to boot! And if you're looking for a high-caliber Santa, Bill H. is your St. Nick. Cheers to Thrd!

Yelp
My sister and I came here while on a walk around the neighborhood. I ordered a dirty chai latte. The space was cool and there was a lot of seating but definitely seating for 1-2 people and not large groups. The staff was quick and my drink was ready not long after I ordered it. The drink was ok, it wasn't very good so I sipped on it for awhile. We were chatting of course while we were sipping on our coffee and we kept getting dirty looks for another customer. That of course has nothing to do with the staff or anything they could have done but it dampened our experience. We weren't talking loudly and he was sitting far from us. Overall our experience was fine, nothing special but it is cute inside!

Yelp
A cute little spot on Milwaukee. I got the the espresso mojito tonic and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and I loved sitting on the patio while I drank my coffee!

Yelp
i had been wanting to try this cafe forever bc I heard amazing things about their money matcha. it was tasty but quite expensive $17 for 2 drinks. it is a beautiful study space with plenty of seating and good lighting tho :) would come back

Bepos1luv O.

Yelp
Nice customer service. Fresh donuts from Roeser's Bakery. Freshly made breakfast burritos. Lattes are good. High working tables. Kid & pet friendly Cute spot

Raoul A.

Yelp
Coffee & staff are amazing! The shop itself carries an amazing vibe the lovely neighborgood of Bucktown & affordable!
google avatar

Vicki M.

Yelp
I miss Hugo Tea, but Thrd Coffee is a lovely new coffee shop. The layout and design is really cute and the drinks are decent. Nothing too special about Thrd given that there are so many coffee shops in the area, but it's a solid choice forsure.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent coffee! My husband is a bit of a coffee snob and prefers pour overs. They were not doing pour overs on the day we stopped in and so he opted for the drip coffee. He was impressed and said it was just as good as a pour over! I got the iced Nutella latte and it was yummy! Very cool vibe inside and the food looks good, but haven't tried it yet. Will definitely be going back to try some!

Margaret H.

Yelp
This is my favorite newer coffee shop. Very friendly staff and the coffee is fantastic. I've had espresso, a drip, and a pumpkin latte and all were incredible!

Bianca J.

Yelp
Great coffee and cute interior but the prices are a bit steep. I don't recall their coffee cart being this much. It was $35 for an oat milk latte and a bag of coffee beans.

Joseph C.

Yelp
wonderful service and the coffee was delicious! great place for me to do some remote work and reading!

Mark C.

Yelp
We got the horchata latte and it was fantastic. Ultra foamy to the last drop which is hard to achieve. Also not too sweet. This place has well balanced coffees and is very good. They operate using a high quality Italian espresso maker and also partner with someone to offer excellent breakfast burritos you can't find anywhere. Watch out, Ipsento!

a d.

Yelp
Coffee was solid. Atmosphere is nice. Small space, maybe not ideal for your next book club. Person working the counter was nice but seemed a bit confused...about everything. Grabbed two donuts to go with my two coffees and was surprised at my total cost. $4 for a plain donut is a bit ridiculous, especially after finding out where they sourced them from and how much they probably paid for it. Come for the coffee, go somewhere else for the pastry.

Andrei K.

Yelp
Great coffee, cool place, staff is very polite and friendly. I wish they work on Mondays too
