Not too far from the others, fairly new (4yrs old) it is a perfect escape. Date night waiting to happen with the tropical escape connected to the bowling alley (sadly can't bring the drinks with you). Delicious in house cocktails, e didn't try the classics, though Hump day is $10 hurricanes. They have a decent rum selection compared to others and my favorite part was the yellow/orange windows so it's not as dark as your typical tiki, but gives the aura of a beach sunset in the distance despite the gloomy weather.

I love the tropical vibes at Three9 Lounge! Great events, spectacular cocktails, delicious food! Excellent place for a birthday party, girl’s night or date night!

We don't drink so we came here for the food. The ambiance was nicely done. Felt the island vipe with the lighting and decor. The menu looked decent. Mostly bar food. We decided on pork (fulled) fried rice, chicken lumpiah, and spam musubi sliders. 1st item came rather fast, but it wasn't ours. Then we waited a bit longer to get the lumpiah and fried rice. The lumpiah was good. Still didn't think the rice on the plate added anything. It was plain and just topped with edamame. The rice was ok, but can use a bit more seasoning. Pork was dry. Fried egg on top was fine right with a runny yolk. The chili sauce served along the fried rice was off-putting. The musubi sliders finally came. The same plain rice with some nori were used in between the buns. It adds nothing to the flavor. Again, just plain. Spam can use a bit more time on the griddle. The entire dish was cold and underwhelming. The biggest issue was that the server totally forgot the soft drink until we asked.

This cocktail lounge connected to the West Seattle Bowl is absolutely incredible. The service is great, the atmosphere is stupendous, it truly felt like I was in a dive bar in Hawaii. Even the humidity was right. I believe our server's name is Preston. Thank you!

Google
Super cool Tiki bar! You feel like being transported to an island on the Pacific ocean. The cocktail-glasses are cocktail specific, giving each drink a special touch of uniqueness. The staff is so friendly. The finger food is very tasty and nicely arranged. Loved the decoration and the easy going music with Surf vibes.

Best thing about this place I could say many good things about? The lady tending bar Friday May 9th was probably the best bartender I've ever ordered from. I typed in, "cheap bar near me," and for some reason this place came up. Lol. Definitely not cheap. And I definitely was out of place. I wanted a bloody Mary. But only island drinks are served here. And I didn't want something sweet. She suggested an, "Angry Fish," when I said I liked spicy. Damn good suggestion. I'm dressed in dirty construction clothes. In a bar with new money rich old people....but the bartender...was just polite. Great service. Treated me like I wasn't as out of place as I look. Though I got more hundreds on me than anyone here I bet. Lol. The drinks are good. Strong. They have 50$ bowl drinks here. The fish Mahi taco was good. But for an island taco I would have liked the salsa a bit spicier. The tall bald guy in the Hawaiian shirt also was...how shall I put it. Just personable. Everyone I interacted with here was very, very personable. Friendly. Polite. The type of people you just want to and like being around. The ambiance was great too. My drink came in an bowl that looked like an Angry fish. Lol. Classic. And the Rum menu? Lol. had dozens of rums. Listed by countries of origin. How fabulous is that? There is nothing bad I can say about this place. I just can't really afford to drink here. Even though I make about 90$k a year. Of course. I can't afford to live here either. Lol. God bless the bartender. Who made me feel in place where I was outta place. Like she didn't even notice. And was genuinely interested in offering me excellent service. Lol. I had to ask what a tiki bar was when they didn't have bloody Marys

This Hawaiian bar is the perfect place to unwind and relax! With a cozy atmosphere and attentive bartenders, you'll feel right at home. Their pina coladas are the talk of the town - they're simply the best. My only wish is that they could stay open later, as this spot is too enjoyable to leave.

Google
West Seattle’s best kept secret! Full themed in atmosphere, menu, and cocktails - you won’t be disappointed with a visit to the Three 9 Lounge. Incredible service, cozy seating makes this at home getaway we all would enjoy! Cheers! 🍻

Yelp
This place is pretty dang cool! You definitely need to be a fan of rum, and if you like rum and tiki bars, this place is surprisingly awesome! We went here after bowling next door, and after wanting to stop in for a while, we were glad we did! The service was fast and friendly! They were nice and knowledgeable and the food turnaround was fairly quick. Vegetarian wife ordered the Crispy Tofu Sliders which were substantial portions - to the point where maybe it is too big to be a slider! Great deal for $13! The Ponzu Steak tips we ordered were okay. Great flavor, but came out a little closer to cold than hot. Which made them sightly tougher to eat. The cocktail list here was awesome! Lots of fun drinks that come in whimsical or unique glassware and presentation. Even something more simple like the air mail comes with a unique stamp. Definitely will be coming back, especially for the cocktails!

Yelp
GREAT place to kick off the weekend. There's a few tiki treasure stops in Seattle and this definitely is one of them. The bartenders were awesome and hilarious - which zhuzhed up the general good feeling about the place. Really great decor, definitely a good place to date or catchup with a couple of friends. The food is solid (and essential) if you're sipping on one of their drinks. I went with 2 other friends and started with the Kaboom! which was delicious (& you're getting a deal for your moneys worth)

Yelp
Purely based on the food and drinks, I had a mocktail and the Mac salad. Pretty good but the mocktail (hibiscus cooler) was a little too sweet for me. Pretty cool vibe and filled up for Friday.

Yelp
Went on Valentine's Day, we reserved our valentines dinner and bowling online. Dim lighting and relaxed atmosphere with a tiki vibe and decor. Plenty of booth, bar, and bench type seating. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. We loved our pu pu platter and mai tai cocktails! Definitely will return again for a night of drinks and bowling!

Yelp
This tiki bar is so fun! We came in on a Monday night as a party of 3 at about 9:30 PM. I ordered the "Troubled Waters" and this drink is the most fabulous and dramatic one I have had in 2023! My drink came in a fish bowl, with a glowy ice cube, plastic mermaid, SHARK GUMMIES, mint leaves and a pineapple slice. This tequila Prosecco drink was magical both visually and how it tasted. I out tiki-ed my company, and it was wonderful. I felt like the belle of the ball (well the bar) with this drink!

Yelp
I love the vibe at Three 9 Lounge for a group hang outs, trivia night, musical bingo and date night! I frequently have meetups here with friends and love that we can have craft cocktails, delicious bites (especially the fried rice bowl with tofu) in a tropical atmosphere then hit the lanes for bowling after. A solid night out in West Seattle, cheers to Three 9! P.S. the options for mock-tails for Dry January have been delightful!

Yelp
This place is so cute and for west Seattle folks a lot easier to access than other great tiki spots in belltown or downtown. Their drinks were awesome and they all came in different mugs as is customary in the tiki realm. The place was very clean the service was good and we'd absolutely be back. Only downside was we should've eaten beforehand because their food, while very good, felt super expensive for how small the portions were. We paid $10 for 3 lumpia for example. Will absolutely go back but make sure to eat first next time.

Yelp
This place blew me away! I felt like I was teleported to another land and was instantly at ease. The vibe is immaculate, fun colors and a relaxing atmosphere. It's well decorated and not overstimulating. I got the troubled waters and was obsessed with the presentation! It was like my own mini fish bowl with gummy sharks. The waiters were so cool and I loved the space, so I ended up ordering another. The best part? It's connected to a retro bowling alley!

Yelp
If you're a tiki fan, you absolutely should make this a priority to visit. The food is good and the drinks are even better. Ambiance is what you would think and the service is fast and friendly. I would recommend the shrimp tacos (even if your a little meh on shrimp!).
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
The cocktails are excellent, with plenty of tiki classics and some delicious and fun signatures. Definitely a rum driven menu which is great for rum lovers like me. The slushies are tasty and strong and great for a hot day. The food is tasty (tapas portions great for sharing). The pupu platter is a good deal and a great way to try several dishes. The spam misubi sliders are very satisfying. The ambiance is great...obviously a lot of care and artistry was put into the place. A real hidden gem in West Seattle.

Yelp
I'd seen that this new Tiki Bar was open in West Seattle and I hadn't had an opportunity to stop in until now. I have to say that I've been to a lot of bars in the are and am SUPER impressed with the Three 9 Lounge. It's a surprising refreshing change for West Seattle, we totally needed a tiki lounge. Even though it's 40 degrees and overcast outside, I can feel a little if that feeling come back from my tropical vacations. The service is really great, almost like a resort where they make sure you have a drink and are having a good time. I didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but planning on coming back as there were some great things on the menu, particularly the chicken lumpia! The bar had some comfortable stools and there are some nice 2-person booths, if I ever get a date to go with me. Music choices were great the night I'm here, a real great way to end the weekend.

Yelp
West Seattle needed a real tiki bar and my prays have been answered by the gods. After having a sampling of the Tiki Juice I can honest say I'm hooked on the nectar of the god's of THE THREE 9 Lounge for life... I bellied up to the Polynesian themed bar with a humongous thirst for rum potion and I wasn't disappointed. My delish cocktail severed in a clear tiki faced mug was sublime and intoxicating. Now this mixoligist cocktail was so good my inner swashbuckler almost came out but swinging from the pineapple themed lambs but that will not get Frank an invite back in! I shall return to pillage and plunder or just quench my thirst very soon, I guarantee it.

Yelp
I love this place! It was by happy accident that I found it, and I have since taken so many friends who all have kept going. The cocktails and mocktails are excellent, as is the food. The service has always been wonderful and I enjoy talking with the staff. My favorite place to sit is either in the back alcove or at the bar. If you want a really fun tiki experience, go to Three 9!
google avatar

Mayra S.

Yelp
The bartender and server were great I have zero complaints about the service. The ambiance was good, it was almost closing time and they waited without rushing us. Food and drinks were ok.
google avatar

Sadie M.

Yelp
I went to three 9 lounge last saturday for the first time. The drinks were great, service was great and the ambiance was so cute and fun. However, upon inspection of the reusable bamboo straws I discovered what looked to be a black/brownish goo coming from the inside. I can only assume it was some type of mold from improper cleaning techniques. I have been extremely sick since my visit and so has every single one of the 8 other people in my party. this is horrendous and I have barely had time to resume normal life whilst living in my bathroom. extremely disappointed.
google avatar

Molly S.

Yelp
The drinks are great! The food is good. Our server seemed incredibly put out having to take our order. The seating situation is horrendous. I'm not for sure what the thought process was with 2 top booths and then insanely uncomfortable lounge seating for parties larger than 2. Tiny tree stump drink holders? Also to be used for eating food?

Yelp
So happy to have this place right around the corner from the junction. Parking is a bit easier and the vibe is just right! First of all, our bartender, Preston, was the best! We were blown away by the drinks. The Mai Tai was delicious! Perfectly balanced and not sickly sweet. The Hemingway daiquiri was not sweet at all but still delicious. The Jungle bird was made really well but it's not our typical drink. We also tried the painkiller, which my boyfriend really enjoyed even though he typically sticks to beer. The food was great! The lumpia tasted great but I did feel it was a little over priced (this is coming from a Navy brat who grew up around a lot of amazing Filipino families who shared the most amazing lumpia by the tray-full). But the Karrage chicken was SO GOOD. We ended up ordering a second plate of it. My boyfriend and his brother shared the pork sliders and were licking their fingers, so safe to say they loved them. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the donuts which were over fried so it just got a little dry and chewy. But no biggie, we left with full and happy bellies. Overall, having a tiki bar in the junction is brilliant! Can't wait to go back.

Sophie H.

Yelp
Walked in and no one was dining or acknowledging people walking in. So we sat and no one even noticed us at the bar for a while (empty place). We finally got their attention and asked what their most popular drink was and got a passive aggressive "Mai tai". Not a great spot. Can't say much for drinks but atmosphere was bad.
google avatar

Kaess J.

Yelp
I love the zombie and the piña colada at this awesome Tiki Bar! The atmosphere is also really great for being on top of a bowling alley (you'd literally never know) And the glasses and barware and accoutrement are fantastic!
google avatar

Lindsay G.

Yelp
Poor service. There was only 1 waiter and 1 bartender on a Saturday night with about 38 patrons. You do the math :( In 1 hour I was able to order 1 cocktail. My glass sat empty for 30 minutes. When I asked the waiter if they were short staffed, he said no. He said that this was normal and did not see it as a problem. Overpriced drinks that you can barely order. Not worth wasting your time there.
google avatar

James A.

Yelp
The care and passion of the bartender is obvious and the vibe is a perfect tiki chill. The decor and service go together wonderfully in sync.
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
Went here for dinner and drinks with a friend. The atmosphere is so on point and also pretty comfortable. There are lounge areas for large groups, two person booths and a nice bar counter. We ordered our first round of tiki drinks and they were all so delicious and beautiful to look at. We ordered food (fried rice, three 9 bowl and the lumpia). The portions were really generous and the food was tasty. Their homemade chili sauce was amazing. The only jarring thing is when you use the restrooms, it goes from super chill tiki bar to bowling alley which is hysterical. Overall I'm super jazzed to have this place in the area and we will be visiting often.

Sophia S.

Yelp
Three 9 Lounge's ambiance was very lively and energetic. However the next following days had me calling the bathroom my new home. During the moment I thought nothing of it when drinking out of the straws until one of my friends noticed there was a black substance that was coming out of it. Such a series of unfortunate events.

Delaney B.

Yelp
I took home my straw home out of pure curiosity and found there to be an abundance of blackish brown goo coming out of the inside. I assume they run them through the dishwasher and call it good. My entire group has had an upset stomach since Saturday night.

Tyler D.

Yelp
Drinks were great, until I was looking inside of the reusable bamboo straws, clearly those things have never been cleaned. Upon trying to touch the inside, black stuff was coming out- presumably mold. I felt sick instantly and for days after, it is clear they do not clean the reusable straws which is a large concern. Will not return.

Laura V.

Yelp
I can vouch for the borage of recent reviews about the straws. I am a parent who personally cleaned the one that was brought home with my brush straw cleaner, knowing that when I have put my own reusable straws in the dishwasher, they do not get clean on the inside. It took about 4 passes for the brush to come out sans black mildew. I'd implement a new method to sanitize.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a great Tiki bar? And no need to leave West Seattle. I've been here three times and it was a great experience each time. Fresh and tasty tropical drinks and food. The Ernest Hemingway daiquiri is highly recommended.

Italia A.

Yelp
If you're looking for drinks that break away from traditional cocktails or just beers, this is a fun place to go. Their troubled waters has a great presentation. Unfortunately, as far as the quality of the cocktails and food, we were underwhelmed. For $12 a fist sized portion of rice, that was only shown a picture of seasonings, was disappointing. Food was bland and expensive for the portions. The taste of the cocktails was pretty average. Service was just ok. Vibes and decor would be the only thing I'd come back for
google avatar

Devon D.

Yelp
What a cool hidden gem in a bowling alley. Popped in for a drink and snack before meeting for dinner. Traditional tiki decor, good strong drinks and over 70 rums. Ordered the Pu Pu platter, all tasty dishes, beautiful presentation and the chicken with the sauce was the stand out. Will be coming back to try other eats and drinks.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Such a great hidden gem!! We recently moved into the neighborhood and noticed the tiki lounge attached to the bowling alley. Stopped by one night for drinks, and ended up getting dinner. The food was amazing, would recommend the sliders, 10/10! Drinks were great too, definitely a fun little vibey spot with a great ambiance. We will be back!
google avatar

Francesco L.

Yelp
Really cool place, nice vibes and great service! Would highly recommend for anyone in West Seattle and will be back soon!!

Kelsey S.

Yelp
My husband and I finally went to Three 9 Lounge tonight and it did not disappoint! We ordered the pupu platter, fried rice, a mai tai, tiki nog, a jungle bird, and a hurricane. Everything was delicious, I don't like shrimp but decided to try some of the curry shrimp from the pupu playter and it was sooooo good! I wish I had gotten pictures because the presentation of food and drinks was fun, too. The atmosphere is fun and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
West Seattle has a new tiki bar and it's super cool. Great for groups as they have two different areas at each end of the bar to sit in lounge areas which are separated by 2 person booths and a bar area. Cool lighting gives you the feeling you should be hearing the sounds of waves crash. We did not eat here as we were coming from another spot but SCORPION BOWL !!! I haven't had one of these in a while. It is essentially a large bowl with flaming liquor in the middle in a raised section of the bowl along with a lower portion that has like 6 different types of booze. Meant for sharing, They give us each a cool bamboo straw and it was super smooth, was shocked when Daniel (awesome bartender) told us the amount of liquor in it. This is a cool spot for sure and we are looking forward to coming back to try the food. Yea bar scene in the West keeps getting cooler!

Mama O.

Yelp
LOVE Three9 Tiki Bar - the Hibiscus slushie (my fav) and the Pina colada is not your typical cheap frozen drinks..they are Delicious and very boozy made fresh. I love their SHRIMP tacos and Fried rice of all kinds. They also Have Vegetarian options for Rice/tacos/ egg rolls etc... such a great Hidden Gem. And Guess what people its right off the newly REopened bridge :)

Savage S.

Yelp
New to area and found this place. Drinks are amazing. Although they did take awhile to get them because the bartender was chatty with costumers, it was worth the wait.

Thomas S.

Yelp
The Drinks!, food and the staff is what makes this place!!! West Seattle seriously needed a new fun bar!!!! Many years of success to WSB and Three 9 Lounge!!! My favorite drink is their Mai Tai. Food wise Best Lumpia I've ever had. The chicken is off the hook!!! Hit 'em up and support local business.

Yelp
I had seen this place when I stopped by the bowling alley before. They have a great breakfast at the bowling alley if you like a traditional American Diner breakfast style meal. Anyways, three 9 was awesome. I've never been to a tiki bar. The music was chill and atmospheric. Not too loud but also very fun. Amazing service and servers/bartenders. Really such nice, friendly and attentive people. I was very impressed. Not pushy tho? They were just available... and easy to get an order too, which isn't always the case I've found in bars. Felt safe, seats were also very comfy. I really liked the decor. I got the lumpia really good snack food. A Hemingway and a jungle bird. Highly recommended the Hemingway Daiquiri if you like vodka, champagne fruity sweet drinks but not toooo sweet. I tend to like citrusy drinks with a brut alcohol ? Idk anyways amazing place, will be back and I'm not a "bar" person. Check it out.

Rosalie K.

Yelp
Great new tiki bar! Tried several drinks and they were all delicious and appropriately over the top decorated - I appreciated that they had good mocktail options too. The food was also fantastic, especially the spam flatbread. Our waiter was also really friendly. I'll definitely be back again to try more of their options!
