The food was amazing! Fresh ingredients and lot of gluten free options. The ambiance is very cozy. Great service! Upscale bar food. Thunder road is a hidden gem in union square. Good place to bring friends to have an awesome dinner with great bands every night. Heard their brunch is awesome as well, can't wait to come back! Hidden gem in Somerville!

Thunder Road is a very cool live band venue, (w some really sweet wall art). Bartender super attentive & made nice strong drinks. Dean Ford & The Beautiful Ones were so fun!! Lead singer looked and sounded a lot like Prince, rest his beautiful soul, & the band was tight. My honey and I danced the night away! 🎶 🍸 🎉

Really liked this place! Door guy was super helpful and recommended a restaurant(their kitchen was closed, show night). Will call for tickets was easy. Reentry was no problem. Stage was elevated so there are no bad seats. Low table, high table, sit, stand...could see from anywhere. Sound was very good. Everything was both loud and clear. People were really enjoying themselves on the dance floor. Probably the most welcoming dance floor I've ever seen. Really positive crowd. Good beer list. Great bar service! And there's a game room downstairs with a pool table. Great show venue, great bar!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this really cool venue. Its comfortable and intimate, yet spacious with a great space to dance. There's even a downstairs which is a nice chill out area to play pool. We attended the club for the very first "Afterlife" goth night. The place was bustling and booming with goths dancing and socializing to the best and new goth/darkwave music I've heard in a long time. The dancefloor was always alive with excitement as the happy hum of folks chatting happily made this night the best time I've had in years. Reminds me of the Red Party night in New York. Definitely will return to the next one!

My husband and I went to Thunder Road on New Year's Eve for dinner and to see Playin' Dead. The music was great and the venue was perfect. I was especially impressed with the service. I watched in awe as the one and only server, Princess, efficiently and graciously served everyone in the place. The chef, the bartenders, and everyone else working there seamlessly provided the crowd with food and drinks all night. Thanks, Thunder Road, for a wonderful night.

I came for a event called Badass Ladies of Rock and really enjoyed myself. The bartender was really nice and happy to help my partner choose their drink, and the space was cozy without being too cramped. The location was really convenient for me because I live within walking distance. I don't drive if I know I am going to drink, and I was able to walk home after a couple of drinks without any issue. Also the bathroom was clean and I was very appreciative of that since most clubs and bars I've been to have disgusting bathrooms.
