I'll give this hotel 2 stars because at the very least, the bed was clean. Aside from that, it's not a place I'd recommend staying.
I'm not a complainer when it comes to hotels. I generally don't care where the hell I sleep, as long as there's AC. I want to make it clear that my standards are low. This review comes as a surprise to even myself.
Checking in was an ORDEAL. I waited in line behind a man requesting a room for three nights. 30 minutes. I stood there for thirty whole minutes while this woman checked this guy in for three nights. She finally sent him to the back, leaving him unfinished, and started checking me in. Thirty more minutes it took her to check me in. Thirty minutes and three credit cards. Why? First, they don't take AmEx. It's 2021, you're a hotel in Las Vegas, of all places, and you don't take AmEx. So I used a MasterCard. She charged it, and then for some reason, refunded it and then, I kid you not, refunded it again. So now I owe money. When she attempted to charge it again, my bank locked it because the shit looked fraudulent. A bring out another card and she charges that one. Somehow I still owed her what she refunded me the second time and I was told to come back the next day to pay it. I was too tired to deal with it so I decided to discuss it all in the morning.
The room was fine. Seemingly. The bed was fine, the pillows were square (?) and she gave me a coupon for a free margarita that I quickly cashed in at the Mexican restaurant up the street. (Best tacos I've ever eaten in my life.)
There are no plugs near the bed, aside from one directly behind the headboard where the two lamps are plugged in. So charging your phone at night and having it next to you isn't a thing. Inconvenient, but we'll all live. The only other outlet was by the desk, so everything I owned was plugged in there, across the room.
The door, which is parking lot facing, had an uncomfortably large gap underneath it. Like when you're in a bathroom stall and the gaps on the side are wide enough to make eye contact with someone washing their hands? Except this is a private room where you go to feel safe, so...didn't love it. If anyone were to get on the ground, we could be eye to eye and have a discussion through that gap.
There was a strange substance on the ceiling above the sink, and I'm tall and the ceiling was low so it felt too close for comfort. And the bathroom door looked like it was beat up, fixed, beat up again, fixed again and so on. The repairman was probably over it the last time he had to spackle it. No love was put into that job.
I did not have ear plugs with me, and would highly suggest you bring them if you are unable to sleep with loud things happening ALL AROUND YOU ALL THE TIME.
The next morning I decided I needed more sleep, more outlets and a mini fridge for water because Vegas is hot as balls. I checked out the next day around 1pm after standing in a line for - and I'm not exaggerating - 2hrs, while the woman checked in two people ahead of me. I don't know if their system is slow or if she is slow but how in the hell is that sustainable. The whole place would implode if there was a bachelorette party.
I fought with them and got only two of four nights refunded because I technically checked out after 11am. I made a point of mentioning I had been there for TWO HOURS waiting, but no dice. They also charged me $39 for amenities, which, all I took/used was a small bottle of Kroger water sitting on the desk.
So I paid over $200 for a bottle of Kroger water and one very sketchy night with the people standing just outside the gap under my door.
I will not be returning. I suggest going anywhere else, but hey...it's your journey.
