The Best Bars in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"This retro bar opened in Phoenix’s Melrose District in early 2019, and draws its considerable fan base from the neighborhood and beyond. Linoleum floors, funky lamps, and wood-paneled walls conjure the 1970s, as do the jukebox and working cigarette machine. Bar tops feature wood salvaged from an abandoned bowling alley. Drinkers can sip RC Cola and throw back lowbrow snacks flown in from the Midwest. Classic well drinks are affordable and solid. The beer list features macros and micros, with a few local all-stars, like Mother Road’s Tower Station IPA. An open, grassy stretch and cornhole game out back make for a fun patio." - Nikki Buchanan

Dino’s Napoletana - Review - Midtown - Phoenix - The Infatuation

"Dino’s Napoletana is one of our favorite late-night food options in Phoenix, and it’s located in the back of Thunderbird Lounge, a ’70s inspired bar. The menu is small (just a margarita, a salami, and a green pie with zucchini, ricotta, pistachio, and mint), the hours are short and late (Tues-Thurs 8pm-12am, Fri-Sat 8pm-2am), and there’s only outdoor seating. But don’t let any of that stop you. The pizza here is some of the best you can eat in the city." - Joanna Boyle

Google
Great local neighborhood bar with a fun, laid-back vibe. Came on a Wednesday for movie night—tickets were just 77 cents and included popcorn. The movie played on the back patio with misters running, which made for a cozy setup. Loved the mix of games both inside and outside. My friend enjoyed the prickly pear on tap, and I had a Diet Coke (I'm sober). Fun spot for a chill night out! Happy hour deals every day. Definitely check them out!

Great local bar. Chill vibes with free old-school arcade games. Small interior and plenty of great outdoor seating. Went on a Thursday night for lotaria. Free with prizes! Will definitely be back.

Drinks were tasty and the bar tenders are good. Went to a goth night event, the DJ was really good and a decent amount of goth folk to dance with and have fun.

Google
Super rad spot with a chill vibe. As you walk in you get greeted by some old school punk playing over the speakers. The décor is straight outta the 70’s who ever designed the bar had a vision and they nailed it. They also have a good amount of free classic arcade games. We ordered a few drinks and they were delicious the bartender was on point and polite. Overall a great spot. Wish we had more time to spend there but we had dinner reservations. Definitely will be back next time we are in the Phoenix area.

Had a wonderful date with my wife watching Legend outside under the stars, with a misting fan to help make it comfortable. Really friendly staff, well definitely make the drive again from the far east valley.

Great and eclectic 70s-themed bar with free arcade games! The inside is small and cozy but there is a lot of beautiful outdoor seating. The parking is close and the drinks are good! They also just partnered with the "Burger Bizarre" ghost kitchen to have food delivered for free to their bar. There are vegetarian options as well. The service is great and the decor is fun and unique. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Phoenix, Az!

Came here for the first time the other day and it was great! Such a good ambiance and atmosphere! The bartender was so sweet and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Stopped by here with some friends who wanted us to check out the spot. They said there is normally a bouncer who sits at the front & checks ID's, but there was no one there when we arrived so we just went in. It really does live up to the 70's vibe, it felt like we walked into the home and living room of someone back in the 70's from the wallpaper to the knick knacks. The old school arcade games are pretty neat, they have some great game titles. The row that is in front of the store window had some weird dirty/blurry patches under the right side of the arcade game screens so I am not sure if it was just the glare or what. It is neat they have a large patio in the back along with some events during the week, plus it is dog friendly. I didn't really like how it smelled inside the bar, but I typically don't hang out in bars so maybe they is how they are? I can't say how the drinks were, I don't drink so I didn't get anything, I was just there with the group. But from what they said the drinks are overpriced. Parking is limited, there is some parking across the street or you can park elsewhere and walk.

Yelp
The space is small but Thunderbird packs a punch with its retro aesthetic. The inside has retro games that you can play for free although some of the machines were not working. We particularly enjoyed taking pictures in the phone booth built into the wall! The outside seating is great for nice nights when the sun goes down. We went on a Friday for a drag show with a balloon artist! The outside space has plenty of tables and places to hang out. Street parking may be your best shot in this part of Melrose. However, there is also a small lot on the north side of the building that will fill up pretty fast on weekends. The lounge isn't very easy to spot from the street with no clear signage coming off 7th Ave. There are a few small neon signs that suggest there is a bar.

Yelp
Visited with friends on Friday night for Dirty Disney and we were all super excited for the night. We took a Lyft, and I am so glad we did because all the parking spots were taken. We made it towards the door, my friend went in first and I was right behind him. I quickly heard a ladies rudely voice say "ID's" without saying anything else. She then saw me trying to get my ID out of my wallet and she again repeats herself in a nasty tone.. like girl I heard you the first time.. chill. We made it past the rude lady, and we were in! The inside is super cute. It has retro vibes, cute photo ops, and the lighting is on point. We decided to come back inside for drinks as we had to go and find a spot for the show. The show started a little late and we stood at a table top towards the bathrooms. The view wasn't great but all the spots at the front were taken. There were no seats so we stood for the 1.5 hours we were there. Went back inside for some drinks and the girl bartending clearly did not want to be there. She was rude, scary, and non approachable. The bar wasn't even busy so not sure what she was so angry about. The first round of drinks we ordered included an Espresso Martini and it was very well made. We got some food from the food truck that was out back and it was also pretty good. In total we bought 4 drinks which were all good. Our favorite one though was the Espresso Martini. The show was entertaining and funny but we left early. The patio area is pretty spacious but the inside lounge area is small. Customer service is clearly not a priority as both workers we interacted with were rude.

Yelp
Local, divey, eclectic, welcoming. The facade is misleading as you venture into a time warp of a video game lounge which turns into a local bar. Step outside and you find yourself in a local backyard complete with lawn furniture that's left out in the elements. We were lucky to catch Rocky Red MCing during karaoke night. The more you drink, the better they sound! Though Rocky Road is a tough act to follow! But they try... Great fun overall. Drinks were tasty and cold. Very memorable!

Yelp
Idk man every time I come I feel less welcome. I live in the neighborhood and hit up Thunderbird last night and paid a ton for some Jell-O shots. Funny other bar had them for $1 and so I was all I'll have some here. Bought four. It was more than my dinner and drinks at another local establishment. I always want to have a good time here because it's walking distance and etc but every time I come it's so weird and like I'm not cool enough to hangout here. I'll probably try it again because it's close but ugh disappointed again.

Yelp
Such a fun bar to grab drinks. The service is always amazing, the green tea Jell-O shots are amazing. They had a band playing and it was such a great time with the weather cooling down it was most definitely a great time:

Yelp
Such a fun spot my husband and I stumbled upon. We came in for date night and had a blast between the fun atmosphere, yummy cocktails, and arcade games. The patio looks huge, and will be back when the weather is cooler. You must visit Thunderbird Lounge!

Yelp
If ya'll haven't been here on a Sunday afternoon, please go. They just acquired the amazing, Randy to mix some of the best drinks I've ever had. He's a sweetheart from Michigan and knows his way.

Yelp
This was my first time checking this place out. They're committed to the decor throughout. Very retro from the wallpaper, to phone booth and free arcade games. I was here specifically for trivia on Thursday nights at 8pm. Wasn't my usual format of trivia, but me and my boyfriend had a good time. Limited drink menu with only bagged snacks as an option. Large heated patio was a plus.

Daniel H.

Yelp
Bartender was very rude and not friendly. He seemed miserable to be working here. Was very rude. We got told that we weren't going to be served drinks anymore because we had been dancing. This was on a Saturday night at 1am. My group of friends and I were the only ones dancing to the 70s music even the DJ danced with us and other people there clapped for us. We were calm and collective and had ordered only one round of drinks. There were another 15+ people all just sitting at tables. The atmosphere here was disappointing and boring. Drinks were overpriced. A glass of modelo especial costs $8 plus tax. Very very underwhelming. Bartender was also very discriminating to any race other than Caucasian. I noticed we got treated much differently than others. Hire new bartenders and you might improve as a business. Compared to their sister bar Thundercat lounge which is a lot better this bar deserves a 0 star rating if possible. We felt very unwelcome. Take my word for it do not come here. This was our first time here as well. I noticed many other reviews had complaints about the bartenders as well so I know we weren't the only ones. If you are of any minority ethnicity you will most likely not feel welcome here. I don't recommend this bar and will never come back. Don't waste your time.

Yelp
I have been wanting to go to Thunderbird Lounge for a long time, so when an artist was coming through Phoenix, I was excited to hear it the show was at this lounge. I gathered up a bunch of friends and was anticipating the venue and show for weeks. The venue itself is great. Cool vibe and a great patio for concerts. I'd probably give this place five stars except for a few big things, the largest being service. The three bartenders were probably the worst servers I have ever experienced. Let me say first that the place wasn't that busy. Maybe the patio had a lot of people for the music, but the bar area never had more than two people deep and often tables were empty. A few times I asked the different servers different questions and their responses were short and when they answered they seemed to be annoyed with everything. They were running around behind the bar acting like they were doing a lot but all it did was make the patrons act like they were in a rush, so I decided to just get a beer, not to take their time up. I asked them nicely what they had on tap because I couldn't read what was on the draft selection. The one male server simply stood to the side and pointed and groaned that I asked the question. I struggled with vision so the servers should be more patient and if some asks a question, respond kindly. After all they are in the service industry. The next time I went up, the bar was even more empty so I thought now was a good time to ask a question about specialty cocktails. All servers typically love this opportunity because it's a chance to upsell. I saw some gummies on the counter and wonder about drinks and simply asked "what kind of drinks do you have that could use these (shark and peach) gummies?" And a different male server barely answered and said "whatever you want." Didn't offer a cocktail or menu or anything. Again this made me feel like a huge burden. My last final time trying to order a drink was with the female. Again only one or two people standing at the bar and with their being two other servers, I thought I'd ask a question about the concerts that typically make their way through Thunderbird, as I like to see shows every couple of weeks. I asked a loaded question and said, "are shows typically free here, and what kind of music typically comes though?" and she only answered one part of my question, and said "yes" to the free concerts, but never answered my question on music, leaving me hanging. Again, I felt like a complete annoyance. Another downfall of the venue was that it was quite dirty. I wanted to play the video games, but a lot of the controllers look like that I've been cleaned in weeks. The lounge has great seating inside and outside for the guests, but then at different points I sat at different tables and there was no one going around to clean cans and cups, so when you would sit down, the table would be full of trash. A big reason why my group didn't get pizza. Who wants to eat at a table with 20 cans/cups that aren't yours? The place is everything set up to be awesome, it just so fell short of a lot of these things, which were so big for me that I will definitely share my opinions with others and take into consideration next time I go.

Javier M.

Yelp
My number 1 place to escape. A safe space to enjoy conversation and genuine good time with your loved ones, amazing and quick service from the friendly bartenders, Nick is always amazing. video games, live music, dance parties, events. no drama and only good times at Tbird :)

Yelp
We stopped here to meet a friend, and we loved everything about it. It was a Tuesday night, so quiet vibes, they were hosting trivia on the patio, and there were plenty of great drinks to choose from. Lots of arcade games to keep you busy, or just chill on the sofa with your pals. The bartender was super friendly too! Can't wait to visit Phoenix again just so we can go back!

Yelp
Came in for the first time today to meet up with friends. Such a cute environment and great music. Randy was our bartender. He is so friendly! GREAT service and cocktails. We will for sure make this our weekend day spot.

Yelp
Absolutely garbage establishment. Came here for the Double Burger popup. Was there for all of 2 mins and i had a security guard lay hands on me and rip my drink out of my hand after i was "trying to share my drink with my friend". Apparently my friend was told he was too drunk to come in prior to my arrival (it was 8pm and this was literally our first stop of the night so i have no idea how they made that determination). Now if i was aware of their interaction I could (somewhat) understand their reaction but their exchange happened a good 20 mins before i got there. I explained as much to the security and that maybe it would have been more appropriate to simply use his words prior to laying hands on a paying customer and he doubled down and exchanged insults, going as far as to threaten me. We left as soon as the burgers were done and wont be back. You aren't missing anything here

Yelp
Nice retro vibe with food trucks on site. There's a window you can line up at outside so you don't have to go in to reorder. There are shows there on occasion but the stage is in a corner instead of being placed at an angle in the opposite corner. Tables and chairs should be placed closer to the stage because the outside bar line and just inconsiderate patrons stand in front of all of the seated patrons and block the view. Management should really consider a redesign on the show set up. The shows sound great but you can't t see anything from where I sat. Overall an okay evening.
google avatar

Mariel S.

Yelp
One of my favorite dives. Very limited seating inside. Booths can be uncomfortable, but events are usually great and the outdoor space is awesome.

Yelp
The Thunderbird Lounge is that laidback, doesn't care, anti attention bar that you want to go to when you've had enough of the see and be seen crowds and places. Walking through the nondescript door almost makes you feel like you've stumbled into a speakeasy, but as you pass by the retro decor and arcade machines and then proceed to the back patio you sigh a breath of relief when you arrive into its bastion of relaxed atmosphere. Relaxed picnic tables, seating, casual lighting, and quirky order up window complete with a throwback little tv playing some old soap opera greet you and you feel like your in your old neighborhood where you instantly feel you can let your pretension dissipate. This is the place where you can drink and drink and enjoy yourself without the Instagram selfie crowd and hooray Henry's. They offer a small but nice selection of food items to accompany your drink of choice. I urge you to frequent this bar if you haven't already been and if you have, it's time to go again and again!!

Virginia M.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere and shows and events they put on for FREE! It's a friendly environment for all types of people to enjoy.
google avatar

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, reasonable drinks. Treated our group really well. They have an inside and outside area. This is nice in cooler weather or the evening.
google avatar

Monica N.

Yelp
Atmosphere is great and drinks on point for 80s night, DJ, however was not good and so not friendly, multiple people were requesting different music and were told, rather rudely,, he was only playing "new wave." We would have stayed longer if the music was better.
google avatar

Kristoffer K.

Yelp
Been coming here for 3 years. Great neighborhood place with large patio space. Love the retro games and relaxed vibe. Staff are awesome and have some great interactions with the other patrons. Lots of events if that's what you need but I just like the bar. PS ask for Malort cause it's a Chicago bar and you'll never question your life decisions more than after that.
google avatar

Tabatha S.

Yelp
Thank you Jeremiah for being an amazing host for our event. You made us feel so incredibly welcome. The place was clean and definitely customer service driven. I wish I knew about this venue sooner. Its so amazing for any event really. But it's your customer service that really sold us. Thank you!!

Caitlin C.

Yelp
So, I have been to this bar multiple times. They always have theme nights which seems cool in concept. Every time I go I have not been able to get into the music theme. I don't blame the bar for that. But, I do want to comment on their customer service. The bartenders are always beyond rude for absolutely no reason. They seem miserable. There is always an attitude whether you know what you want right away or if you even hesitate for one second. I understand being annoyed at people who are drunk and annoying but when you have a nice person walking up for a drink you should be treated nicely. The bartenders are strictly the reason I will never go here again. The bar is super cute and the games are fun, but the customer service is horrible.

Yelp
Have been here a couple of times with our children, no issues. Went again tonight for a family member's birthday, with our two children, and were promptly kicked out. Reason given is that no kids are allowed because food is not served there. I'm not an attorney but the law seems fairly straightforward that the under aged may be on-site if they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, etc of level age. If I'm mistaken then someone please correct me, otherwise, ownership needs to educate their staff and get it first. Until then we're likely never coming back. State statute pasted for reference: 22. For an on-sale retailer or employee to allow a person under the legal drinking age to remain in an area on the licensed premises during those hours in which its primary use is the sale, dispensing or consumption of alcoholic beverages after the licensee, or the licensee's employees, know or should have known that the person is under the legal drinking age. An on-sale retailer may designate an area of the licensed premises as an area in which spirituous liquor will not be sold or consumed for the purpose of allowing underage persons on the premises if the designated area is separated by a physical barrier and at no time will underage persons have access to the area in which spirituous liquor is sold or consumed. A licensee or an employee of a licensee may require a person who intends to enter a licensed premises or a portion of a licensed premises where persons under the legal drinking age are prohibited under this section to exhibit an instrument of identification that is acceptable under section 4-241 as a condition of entry or may use a biometric identity verification device to determine the person's age as a condition of entry. The director, or a municipality, may adopt rules to regulate the presence of underage persons on licensed premises provided the rules adopted by a municipality are more stringent than those adopted by the director. The rules adopted by the municipality shall be adopted by local ordinance and shall not interfere with the licensee's ability to comply with this paragraph. This paragraph does not apply: (a) If the person under the legal drinking age is accompanied by a spouse, parent, grandparent or legal guardian of legal drinking age or is an on-duty employee of the licensee.

Yelp
terrible DJ... went there after my sisters wedding and he told us to "stop screaming at him" because we requested a few songs anyways we reserved multiple tables. Get a new DJ!!!

Yelp
Came here for drinks with friends when the bf and I were in town. This place wasn't too far from where we were staying, and it seemed like a fun place to hang out in, based on reviews. We had a little trouble finding it, but once we did, we were pleased to see that parking, while a little tight, was still available, and despite the lot being mostly full, it was spacious inside and we didn't feel like we were all on top of one another. The place is a bit divey, and I'm not sure they had anything on draft, but drinks were cheap, and they still had a decent selection of local beers. I tried a local fruity beer, and it was pretty good. We found a table to sit at, right by the entrance to the bar, and we had a great time, playing the mini board games they had available, and watching weird animated movies from the 80's. There are also old arcade cabinets in the back, as well as lawn games out front. All in all, a pretty fun place to hang out at with a large group of your friends. Would definitely come back here if I happened to find myself in this part of Phoenix again.

Yelp
Fun bar. Indoor space and big outdoor. Full service bar. Weekends tend to have a food truck

Yelp
I enjoyed this new gem! So far the arcade games are free, it doesn't compare to Cobra or Bonus Round but the games are fun. There is also a juke box. Inside has some booths. My favorite part was the patio outside with the Jenga and corn hole games. Thunderbird lounge is a very chill place, the bartender was attentive and 2 IPAs pints for $10 is a great deal. My least favorite which doesn't have to do with this place, but it happened when I was there is that there is a bathroom outside which is shared with other restaurants... Well an employee from the nextdoor restaurant did not wash his hands. I was washing my hands and I heard a toilet flush and he just passed by me. I was very grossed out. In the afternoon a restaurant does pizza outside in the patio. My friend and I were looking forward to eating some pizza, but after what I saw, we left to another bar.
google avatar

Raquel H.

Yelp
Came here for trivia night, first time here. Drinks are really good the only thing is the menu they had to as for a restaurant that is no longer In business. The patio area is spaced out so you don't feel like you are on top of people. The staff was all friendly and came around to clean up the table and made sure you didn't have lots of empty cups. The restrooms were pretty clean and I like that they have the sinks outside of both stalls. Will Definitely be back

Kelly G.

Yelp
Love this place! It's comfortable yet playful/fun - The bartender Phoebe is funny AF. I was laughing my ass off! Great times.
google avatar

Jeff P.

Yelp
My friend suggested we check this place up one night. It's a pretty solid bar on the whole, with some old arcade games in the main entrance area. They had a moderate selection of drinks available, but the real draw to the place is the patio in my opinion. It is a wide spacious area with heaters and Christmas lights that was nicely decorated for the season. There was a small pizza truck of sorts in the courtyard that I ordered a pretty decent pizza off of. Not a bad way to spend a weekend night. Biggest complaint against the place is that the patio could really use more seating options. My friend and I were forced to stand for a majority of our time there. Only towards the end were we able to find a seat.

Nicole R.

Yelp
As someone who is a veteran to the industry I've been coming here for 4 over years after work and bringing colleagues along with me since it has always previously been a very industry-friendly spot. This evening I came in with co-workers who asked about playing cornhole since we have always played here. The female bartender said we had to ask the restaurant next door since it is a shared space. We asked them, they said they did not care and that it was fine, reported that to her and she now changed her mind and said no, that they now only let you play on Sunday and Monday. That was not communicated to us by her originally. We decided not to order drinks and leave. It is the middle of June in Arizona and a time of year when we all slow down and no one was there, they should welcome all business. As we were in the parking lot a male bartender whom we did not interact with prior or even see started screaming to us through the bar window: "Scottsdale is that way!!" and pointing. We were in the parking lot at that point when he yelled this and my colleagues were mostly to their cars since we drove separately. A few of us were confused by why he was yelling that. We live right down the street and have worked in the area for 15 years, what does Scottsdale have to do with anything? As I am getting in my car I see the male bartender run into the parking lot to chase down my colleagues and yell 'you want to play fu*king cornhole!?! Fu** you!!". He followed their cars out the lot all the way next to the Chinese restaurant. I have an anti-theft lock on my steering wheel that takes a few seconds to pop off, so I am the only one left in the lot out of us and completely terrified. No one had any idea what was going to happen since he was accosting and harassing us for no reason at all. My colleague comes back after seeing that he was being chased down and asked why we were being chased. The bartender pretends to call the cops, lies and said we were asked to leave and kicked out (which we never were. We chose not to order drinks and stayed for 5mins while our coworkers finished their one drink and then left on our own to go elsewhere). I have everything recorded on video. He then lies and says we were trespassing, said we called him expletives which did not happen at all and no foul language was used, comments on a coworkers superbowl hat saying 'look at your hat, go back to Scottsdale' and acting erratically. Your bartenders profile and stereotype and we will never be back to this establishment. I have sent all this to the owners as it was happening and have had no response. Having people like this represent your establishment is scary. I've never felt so terrified sitting in my car while trying to leave. EDIT: owners and management never responded to me when I originally messaged them. Guess they condone that type of behavior from employees and don't care for the safety of their guests.

Yelp
Took my son and friend there to happy hour, Some what disappointed. nice atmosphere, found the bartender unfriendly and in spite of them advertising a "special" on social media, for a shot and Old Style for $6 I was charged $10. Posting clear prices would be helpful.

Matthew B.

Yelp
Went there the other night for a music event. Good atmosphere outside but negative atmosphere inside by the bartenders. All 3 of them were rude. They weren't serving more than a few people at a time but acted like they were really busy. To the point where the female bartender got frustrated after she couldn't find a last name for a tab we were closing out. She said "you're killing me" Those were her exact words. I can't recommend this place unless they get bartenders that actually care their customers and can handle more than 3 people at the bar.

J H.

Yelp
What is the point of coming here! It was overpriced, terrible bartender on Wednesday nights, no games to play. Might as well go anywhere else. Used to be best place around to have a drink and have fun. Choose any other place to hang out. Alot of better options in Melrose.

Shea V.

Yelp
Cigarette Central. Absolutely disgusting outside with everyone smoking cigarettes and cigars. Including the people who work here. Absolutely would not recommend and it's extremely over priced.

Yelp
One of my favorite new bars. Great back patio and they have late night pizza (bring cash). Vibe is super chill and the arcade games are rad.

Yelp
TL;DR: Not a family friendly bar, avoid if you have kids, or enjoy fun. I have been a patron of this bar since the place opened, and have always enjoyed my time at The Thunderbird Lounge. To my disappointment and surprise, my wife, my friends and I had an awful experience. It was a warm, May evening. The taco truck was slinging delicious street tacos and the trivia was about to start. As the sun went down (around 7:30-8pm) we gathered at the T-bird lounge for a night of trivia, tacos and a couple drinks. Unfortunately as the night was starting, the bartender, I did not catch her name, approached our table and informed us that we were no longer welcome at the bar as we had a infant with us. She continued and said "after dark we don't allow children." We were shocked to say the least. We had been at this bar multiple times with our baby before (after dark) and had never been informed of this "rule." AZ law allows children in bars with their guardians and I thought the Thunderbird lounge was a friendly neighborhood bar. I guess I was wrong. Very sad, I enjoyed the time I spent there previously. PS - one of the owners of this place is a scumbag. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2021/12/30/thunderbird-lounge-co-owner-pleads-guilty-to-assault-former-girlfriend-speaks-out-on-abuse/8814819002/

Yelp
This bar has a great vibe. It offers friendly and welcoming service with a cool environment. They also have free arcade games, which makes it so much fun.

Yelp
Best place to hangout in Uptown!! There is always something going on, throughout the week.

Yelp
Adorned with retro decor, Thunderbird Lounge looks like something that would have been totally rad in the 80s, yet still trendy today. It's got a few arcade games by the bar, but what really shines is the massive patio where everyone is lounging around playing cornhole and eating their brick oven pizzas. The drinks are very inexpensive, and vibe is unpretentious. Nothing flashy, but I'd definitely come here with a large group to start my night off.

Yelp
This spot is super cute. Looks like a hole in the wall but once u walk in, u are greeted by the friendly staff. They have fun free games and the regular drinks will a chill atmosphere. They have huge back patio with plenty of tables and chairs. The patio is lit with string lights and have a well lit clean outdoor bathroom. This is a cute spot for a girls night out or even a date. I will definitely be coming back here every time I'm in Phoenix.

Yelp
Updating my review from 3 to 5 stars. My previous review I had stated that I was overcharged and just wanted to give a mindful tip to people to keep their receipts and double check charges. Since then, they have reached out wanting to make things right which I thought was genuine. It was Halloween Eve And I know it was one of the busiest nights they've had. That being said, I can believe it was possibly a mistake. The place overall still had a great atmosphere & friendly staff. We would go back. :) especially when Sabor a Mi is catering their birria nachos there ;)

Yelp
Free video games to play is a pretty awesome feature. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the large outside patio is perfect for a nice leisure day hanging with friends. It's a newer bar but decorated in a old dive bar vibe. Interesting for people watching. This could easily become a Sunday Funday spot.

Yelp
Loved this place! Great music, decor, vibe, bartenders!! Great outdoor seating area but cool indoor as well. Good selection of drinks and offering Malort which makes me feel at home as a Chicago transplant. Went for trivia night which was so fun! The trivia was really good! Not too hard, not too easy; and it had a good crowd show up. The host was also really good but sadly there are no checks for cheating. Food truck parked outside smelled and looked really good but I had just eaten so didn't partake. Will definitely be hanging out here often!

Yelp
This place makes you feel as though it's been around for decades and preserved beautifully but it's all newly renovated. Super cool and we love the living room area with free arcade games (the bartender sliding beer to you from the 80's is fun). Staff have all been really kind and fast service. Plus, the prices are pretty cheap :)

Yelp
They put drinks on my card I didn't order and tried to tell me I was drunk when I only had one drink. Then they talked to the other bartender and he admitted his mistake after trying to convince me something happened that didn't. I kept my receipt and good thing since they added a $20 tip for themselves. The games are free which was cool but no way I will be back.

Yelp
Love this place! I'm in the neighborhood and have been waiting for it to open for a long time. My boyfriend and I went on the Monday after they opened and it was everything we wanted. I think most drinks are around $5. The 70s decor is what really makes it. The inside is pretty small which I like because it creates a cozier, friendlier crowd setting. The back patio is huge. My favorite part is the jukebox, which is stocked with all the best classic rock and pop hits from that decade. It will definitely be my new go-to. If they get a pool table, I'll never leave.
