"Languishing up in Hadley’s Wood, Thymari is the furthest point of the great Greek exodus north west from Camden and Palmers Green. Here Christine and Paul specialise in meat and seafood grills as well as twists on long-braised dishes such as kleftico in a root vegetable mash. Whatever the order made sure to finish on sweet balls of loukoumades which are made to order." - Jonathan Nunn

Found Last night to be one of my best experiences in a very long time, for a restaurant meal. The food is outstanding here the grilled squid and the lamb exceptional. Went with a business colleague and was the perfect choice we were running late, last out at the end and they made us feel welcome and no fuss. The staff and owner made us feel so welcome and took time out to talk to us and also had the honour to hear more from the chef about his cooking. A true jem worth visiting and prices are spot on. Simon & Steve!

First of all the layout and visuals of the venue is very nice however this was over shadowed by poor service, some of the staff were friendly however they forgot to bring food that we ordered as well as bringing starters with the main. Food was average at best. I am greek and i can say the food was not nice it was a struggle to eat. VERY overpriced for disappointing food. Overall i would never come back here. It is the worst Greek restaurant in London that i have been too which is a shame as the venue is very nice. Also they were playing Loud commercial music which did not seem suitable for the atmosphere.

I have been to Thymari on several occasions since the owners changed. We always have great food (and between us we've tried all the main courses) and have sampled two very good, white Greek wines. We went with a friend who used to live in Greece and he was most impressed. We are so thrilled to have a destination restaurant in our neighbourhood. Paul, Christina and all their staff are also delightful and eager to please.

Good food and pleasant service should mean this restaurant is more successful than it is. However, when you are the only people in the restaurant at 8.30 on a Saturday evening it doesn't bode well for the future of the place. I hope they continue to do well as the food was good, and waiter attentive (but then who else would he have served!). The obligatory service charge seems cheeky for a local restaurant and should perhaps be reviewed. Otherwise not a bad little place. Perhaps because it doesn't really sparkle, that is the reason it is so unpopular. If so, then Barnet residents you are harsh!

We visited this weekend for a family birthday and we had great time! We were a large group of 8, including one child, and the staff very accommodating. We ordered a selection of starters and mains to share and everything was fresh and delicious and the staff, the owner in particular, went above and beyond to make the birthday special and enjoyable. We will definitely be visiting again, thank you so much!!

Yelp
I lived in Hadley Wood many many moons ago and was finally back to see my old stomping grounds! I wanted to take my husband around the area to show him where I grew up and figured, since it was our first night in London, we would scoot up here first, show him around, stop for a bite and then head back down to London. I was able to make reservations before leaving Canada and hoped that, after the day of travel, I would still be up for it. I was fortunate enough to be able to meet up an old schoolmate of mine and we picked this restaurant as our meeting place. Since we arrived on the Sunday, we opted for their Sunday roast dinner. The restaurant itself is a good size and opens up to a patio giving the whole dining area and open and airy feel to it. There service was great, especially considering that we were chatting for so long prior to ordering! Dinner was fantastic and after a long day of travel, sure hit the spot. I will say though, I will say though, I wasn't overly impressed with the Yorkshire Pudding as I've had better here in Canada. Apart from that though, everything was seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. It really capped off our evening perfectly after a very long day of travel.
