The 20 Best Things to Eat at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim | Eater LA

"Princess Tiana, the chef-turned-princess in The Princess and the Frog, is based on Leah Chase, the legendary chef from Dooky Chase’s in New Orleans. Both the House Gumbo and the 7 Greens Gumbo at Tiana’s Palace in New Orleans Square are inspired by Chase’s real recipes; the latter offers something extra special. The thick stew is made with white beans, yams, okra, and sweet potatoes and served over white rice. It’s plant-based on its own, but is also excellent when paired with shredded chicken and spicy andouille sausage." - Julie Tremaine

Tiana’s Palace Is the Most Exciting New Disneyland Restaurant in Years | Eater LA

"Opening September 7 in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square in the former French Market Place space, Tiana’s Palace aims to challenge expectations for theme-park dining by serving authentic Creole and Cajun dishes inspired by The Princess and the Frog. At a media preview I saw that the restaurant blends careful Imagineering details—two smoke stacks, a wheelhouse, a bright marquee, lighting, murals, wrought-iron details, and tile flooring—with a cafeteria-style service model offering a broad, fast menu. Dishes include a plant-based seven-greens gumbo and a spicy house gumbo with andouille and braised chicken, shrimp with cheesy grits, cornbread, muffuletta, a braised beef po’boy with scratch-made pickles and red beans and rice, Cajun-spiced roast chicken, kid options, and a lemon beignet dessert meant to be eaten first; beverages include a coffee chicory cold brew with sweet cream and an optional blinking Ray Firefly cube. The team emphasized sourcing and regional authenticity—po’boy bread baked in New Orleans, Louisiana andouille, Gulf shrimp, and Carolina Gold rice—and at the preview I found the house gumbo thick with a medium-browned roux, full of andouille and filé spices, finished with a 50/50 blend of Worcestershire and Crystal hot sauce for a tangy, umami-rich note; it tasted like a standout gumbo that might be considered exceptional at any Creole/Cajun restaurant in Southern California, though some diners may find it spicy. Food & Beverage director Michele Gendreau framed the project as adapting to diners’ growing interest in diverse flavors, and staff including New Orleans native Lindell Skinner and culinary director John State helped ground the menu in the region’s traditions." - Matthew Kang

I was shocked at how amazing the food was. Everything was so good. The gumbo was one of the best ever. They have several flavors of side sauces outside you could add. The beignets were so warm, soft, and yummy. The inside did feel like a cafeteria but the outside was great! Lots of tables with shade awnings above.

1. The jambalaya and gumbo were good with lots of flavors! They really pair with the cornbread! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes in New Orleans Square! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! Note: Mobile ordering is available! Photo: Tiana’s Special, Cornbread, Jambalaya, and House Gumbo

Google
This is one of my favorite places where we ate. It was also one of the cheaper options of food, I think. I had the Muffuletta sandwich. It was super savory with flavor in every bite. I can only describe the sandwich as tasty; when it was gone, I was sad. The sandwich came with a side of kosher tasting pickles that paired very well with the sandwich and rice and beans. I highly recommend this dish, which only costs $15.25. My family members got the gumbo and stated that it was delicious.

Google
Excellent food provided by generous staff. A family member of mine has a food allergy, so the staff went above and beyond to help make it happen. LOVED my Cajun spiced half chicken and the sides. The beignets, of course, were to die for! Will be back for sure.

Google
I’ll admit it: the cafeteria style dining made me anxious to try this place. The decor was lacking, and some of the crew members had the same amount of enthusiasm as a middle school lunch lady. But after trying the shrimp po boy, red beans and rice, and mac and cheese, I was fully on board. Really great meal. (I’d skip the beignets.)

Google
You can tell the workers love their jobs. The food was amazing. Surprisingly really flavorful. The shrimp and grits were cooked to perfection and the lemon beignet was to die for!

Google
I can’t say enough of this place!! The atmosphere was incredible, just as you would think of a New Orleans French creole restaurant!! (This made me skeptical about the food. Lots of times, the atmosphere and the vibes are great but the food could do better or is subpar). Not with this restaurant! It’s aced in its food as well!! I loved the food! Everyone in my party and I were left satisfied and happy with the food. We were impressed! I ordered the (I think) Po’boy Shrimp or Shrimp Po’boy. Anyways it’s was delicious is what I know. The shrimp was well cooked nice flavor and the sauce was delicious! I really felt like I was in New Orleans! Also there was live music, the men played so well and were charismatic and fun!! They also beignets which were great!!

Google
I was excited to try this spot. the outside looks so cool. The inside was like cafeteria style, you take a tray tell them what you want . My kids did not like the mac n cheese, it was hard and dry, the chicken was ok. Jambalaya was ok. I was so excited about the beignets, but I got the ones from the inside & they were not good, pretty but not good. I wish the food matched the entertainment. (Entertainment was fun & lively)

Yelp
I tried plant base Gumbo. It was good but the sausages looked delicious. I should try not vegetarian one Jambalaya was tasty. Cornbread was very filling. Cold brew wasn't sweet like other locations one. I like it. The cast member helped to carry the tray. She was very helpful. They had a live music which was very nice!

Yelp
My friend and I split jambalaya and it was so good! It was on the hotter/spicier side which I really loved. We had no problem grabbing an outdoor table and the line getting the food wasn't long at all. I feel like sometimes it's hard finding good theme park food, and this is one of my favorites!
google avatar

Eric P.

Yelp
The line for Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride was crazy long but ordering for food at the restaurant was a breeze. We opted for the classic beignet on a plate. Also strawberry beignet. Outside at the mint julio you can order also Mickey shaped beignets. Lots of tables but hard to find spot. Very busy when we came. There was a jazz band playing just like in the movie.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday for lunch during a trip to Disney. Tiana is one of my favorite characters, and I also love Louisiana style food. The restaurant had quite a bit of seating Outdoors, and it was a nice day out so it was perfect. You order your food inside cafeteria style, and then take your food to any free table you can find. The menu was small, but I liked the options they provided. You could get anything from gumbo to a muffaletta sandwich, and even beignets. I ended up going with the Cajun spiced half chicken. I loved the sauce that came on this, and was going to look into seeing if I could buy it. It also came with a side of baked macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. I didn't care for the macaroni and cheese that much, but it wasn't terrible. The coleslaw was good and refreshing. Other people in our party shared the muffaletta sandwich which was actually a pretty big size and they said that they really enjoyed it. I have never had a muffaletta sandwich so that will probably be something I try on the next trip. I did order them beignets, but I unfortunately assumed they were going to be served warm, and they weren't. They were still very good, but I think they would have been much better fresh. I found out afterwards that you can buy fresh Beignets from another spot that are supposedly better and shaped like Mickey Mouse. Had I known that before I probably would have waited and got those, but it's on my list for next time as well. I would definitely eat here again on another trip. I think the prices are about what I would expect to pay, and not too over the top. I believe they served kids meals as well if you have little ones. I enjoyed my food and it was good portion sizes. I also like that the wait was not too long when we went

Yelp
We were here on a Tuesday night around 8pm and it was PACKED! Every table was filled and my wife and I walked around looking for an open table. We finally got a table and proceeded to look at the Disney app to order food. The wait was climbing so we decided to walk in and order food. There were two lines one on the right and one on the left. Cafeteria style so you grab and pay. However the line was kinda long and they were refilling so we had to wait a little. I grabbed a jambalaya and a gumbo and also grabbed a beignet which had 2 with honey and powdered sugar. Meal came out to about $50 for everything. The gumbo was BOMB. It was a little spicy but it was great. Sausage, chicken and rice all in a soup. Very delicious and I'd get again. The jambalaya was okay, this was even spicier and was more rice based. It had the same sausage and chicken but it also had a tomato sauce and rice. It was okay but I'd prefer the gumbo. The biegnet was disappointing.. it was super empty inside.. idk how long it was sitting but it was also a little cold. The honey and powdered sugar saved it though. I think they have a similar version around the corner and those are filled. Probably wouldn't get these again. Good spot if you're looking for some good gumbo. It was filling too. We enjoyed that about both meals.

Yelp
1. The jambalaya and gumbo were delicious and filling! The cornbread was also well-made! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! Area is spacious! 3. There is only outdoor seatings! Lots of tables but they are FCFS! 4. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! There is a pickup window outside for mobile ordering! 5. This spot does not have their own restroom! There is a restroom area nearby! Note: The staff will clear your table for you! Photo: Jambalaya, House Gumbo, Cornbread, and Tiana's Punch

Yelp
It's a cafeteria style restaurant. There's ample seating in the shade which is so nice especially on a hot day. When you're done, you bus your own table and take your tray to the outside counter. I ordered the muffuletta sandwich which came with beans and rice and some pickled veggies. I didn't really enjoy the sandwich. The bottom bread was very soggy. I think not having a crunch factor in the sandwich got me cause I love a crunch in a sandwich. The pickled veggies were great. I loved the beans and rice which had quite a kick. The best part of eating here was that Tiana walked through the restaurant. She did some quick interactions as she made her way to her photo spot. Just a little Disney magic while you eat.

Yelp
One of the more welcome rebrands. Let me just preface this by saying: as a Southern California native, Disneyland in the 90's was essentially a "Rite of Passage". That said, for the life of me, I really can't remember dining here before the restaurant was rebranded in Sepetmber 2023. Like literally, ever. I remember that there was a side service window for those quintessential mint juleps & mouse ear-shaped beignets (I highly recommend the pumpkin-flavored variants during Fall season). FOOD: Entrée Jambalaya - 8.5 / 10 Considering that I hadn't had breakfast, I knew that I wanted one of the more heartier options. Of the more uniquely themed offerings, it came down to choosing this or the gumbo. Luckily, I convinced my friend to get the latter so that I could get this. I'm glad that I opted for the Jambalaya. On paper, it reads pretty similarly to the gumbo. But to put is simply, the similar ingredients in both are served in a spicy broth. Here the same ingredients take the center stage & you don't feel like you're eating a stew / drinking a soup. I will say, although I have a high tolerance for spice + strong flavors, I not only understand, but I appreciate that the meal development team went rather tame. It's a wide, wide, net of people that you want to try this dish, so it's smart for them not to put anyone off. The chicken + Andouille Sausage provide the necessary heft, both surprisingly tender, yet bold in flavor because they're served in the creole spice. I would definitely get this again. Dessert "70th Anniversary" House Filled Celebration Beignet - 6.2 / 10 I really wanted to like this. Maybe it's my older age, but it's just too sweet. I knew this was going to be the case, so I had my friend get the regular beignet. From the raspberry mousse to the buttercream glaze, I'd recommend spreading the excess sugar onto an order of plain beignets. The fact that the candle was edible (all I could taste was sugar, which I didn't finish) was cool. For a limited-time offering, I'd say just get it once just to try it. Order that side of plain beignets to offset the excess sugar in this one. If you're rather sensitive to higher amount of sweet, then go ahead & steer clear. I really, really like that Tiana's Palace is a fast casual option. Considering the popularity of "The Princess & the Frog", you already know that a restaurant based on the film is going to be uber-popular. Yes, there will be a line & a considerable wait. Patience is a virtue.

Yelp
Came on a Monday, line for food wasn't long and the staff was friendly and gave us some waters while we were waiting in line to order. It's an assembly line type of food service. We ordered gumbo, chicken, and kids drum stick. Gumbo was good and not overly spicy. Cajun chicken was more a bbq chicken than anything and the skin wasn't on the grilled crisp side more soggy. Kids meal i think was the best bang for your buck if you wanted something small and quick. Comes with a drum stick, rice, mandarin, apple sauce pack, and a boxed drink. The cold brew was good not overly sweet, had a hinted taste of beignets. With cream / milk we didn't need to add sweeteners $60 for everything so not too out rages for 3 meals and two drinks they have an outside patio that's colorful and had an outside band play jazz periodically and even got to see Tiana outside dancing.

Yelp
I was a big fan of the French Market Restaurant at New Orleans Square. It had been there since 1966. When they reimagined the restaurant into Tiana's Bayou Adventure, they took inspiration from the "The Princess and the Frog" movie. I'm not sure how much the menu changed from the French Market considering both places served Southern Creole and Cajun cuisine. But they did a nice job with the remodel. It was designed to represent Tiana's dream restaurant from the movie. Gumbo, Jambalaya, Muffuletta Sandwiches and Shrimp Po'Boys are some of the items that you will catch on the menu here. They also serve beignets or you can grab them next door at the Mint Julep Bar. Let a cast member know if you have a particular food allergy. One fun thing about this place is that a jazz band plays while you are eating on the patio area. This band is called the Jambalaya Jazz Band and they play all over New Orleans Square.

Yelp
We ordered the Cajun chicken with Mac&cheese, kids grilled ham sandwich, and jambalaya. We really like what we ordered. The chicken & mac and cheese was flavorful. Finished all of it!! I personally liked the jambalaya. Maybe I just really need to eat rice. Lol. we also finished that too. The kids ham sandwich is meh. But hey, picky kid liked it . Great thing about the kids meal, it comes with drink and a fruit. Unfortunately, we had to wait in line cuz mobile up was not available when we came there. It was just late, nothing to do with technical difficulties. Everyone is efficient and friendly. Oh we also get to see fantasmic by our table.

Yelp
I was super stoked to try Tiana's Palace and sadly ended up disappointed! Now the theme is cute of course, the Princess and the Frog is a classic with them serving Creole and Cajun southern food. In the same place as the Orleans Cafe and honestly, kind of going with the same vibe, I hear the revamped menu is much better. You can use the app to pre-order but it doesn't seem to always be working. Conversely, this quick service restaurant will give you a buzzer while you wait for your eats to be ready. Seating was pretty limited at 10:30am on a Sunday a few weeks ago. The staff I've interacted with here is always nice and one of the best things - Jambalaya Jazz Band! I love live music of any type and find it so lovely to have a jazz band playing while dining. That being said, the theming could have be amped up in this rebrand. I want MORE Tiana! The one thing I knew I needed to try foodwise from the menu and was excited about was the BEIGNETS! YAAAS, I was thankful this cute item I wanted after seeing online came with a beignet! Yep, for you can get a really cute the Princess and the Frog Lily Pad and Lotus Cup Ceramic Set for $35). Sadly, the beignets aren't good here. They're hard, dry, stiff and not like beignets at all. That needs to be fixed ASAP for this to truly be Tiana's Palace. I can't even say more but that they need to be redone ASAP. Now the Toasted Ham & Cheese Sandwich for Kids ($9) is mostly bread with just a tad bit of ham & cheese but that's really not a bad price for a tiny sandwich, Cuties orange, GoSauce Applesauce & tiny water at Disneyland. Not great but not terrible. The Nitro Cold Brew with a Beignet-flavor injection ($7) was solid and a nice, subtley flavored, creamy way to start the day. I was hyped for a NOLA style casual food spot at Disneyland and am saddened I didn't love everything we had. However, i barely scraped the surface of all there is to offer on the menu, so I am sure I will try again & update my review in the future! I hear y'all trying me to try the shrimp and grits next time - noted - the gumbo looks great, too. But they gotta get their beignets together!
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
My friend told me I had to try the house gumbo at Tiana's palace. The flavors and spice were there don't get me wrong. But this was my first time having gumbo and it was kinda slimy. I don't know if it's suppose to be like that or maybe I just got a bad one but I don't think I would get it again.
google avatar

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
We were waiting for our last ride reservation (it actually got cancelled once we started eating LOL) and we overheard others around us talking about beignets from Tiana's Palace. We were STARVING & just got off the Tiana's Bayou ride, so we speed walked over to Tiana's to see what these beignets were about haha. One thing I really love about Disney parks is that they are always sooo on point with their themes. They had Cafe Du Monde cans everywhere & I believe they also use the cafe du monde box mix for their beignets? Ordering was pretty easy, it was structured like a lunch line where you hop in the line, grab a tray, find the food you're looking for, then pay. They offer jambalaya, po'boys, gumbo, corn bread, and other Cajun foods here, as well! We decided to just get the beignets to try & find food afterwards, outside of the park. OKAY, so... the beignets were a bit disappointing to be honest. I wanted to love it so bad because I personally LOVE fried dough and beignets, BUT omg, the beignets were COLD :/ and kind of dry. I was hoping for some hot/warm beignets and the powdered sugar to melt, kinda deal & that isn't what we got unfortunately. Given, we did go around closing time so maybe that's why? I thought they put them under hot lamps though but I guess not. Hopefully, I can visit Disneyland Anaheim again soon & give it try during the day!

Yelp
My husband wanted to have gumbo while on our weekly date at Disneyland and walked up when they opened for lunch. We grabbed the house gumbo, paid, and sat down. We both took a bite and realized it was pretty solid as far as gumbo goes. It's almost as if they stole the recipe from Jazz Kitchen in DTD. It was spiced well with a noticeable kick. We did not need to add any additional seasoning or hot sauce which says a lot. No comments from my husband other than it was solid, considering he's very picky about his gumbo because he grew up in New Orleans. Thank you to the staff at Tiana's for getting it right.
google avatar

Hung L.

Yelp
Stopped in to try the beignets since they're one of the signature items here. They came out warm and nicely dusted with powdered sugar, but overall they were just okay. The texture leaned a little dense rather than light and airy, and the flavor didn't quite match the hype. For the price, the portion felt a bit small, and while it's fun to grab a themed treat in the park, these didn't stand out compared to other versions I've had. Cute for the experience, but not something I'd go out of my way for again.
google avatar

Joriene M.

Yelp
I was beyond ecstatic when I heard that they were transforming Splash Mountain into Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I love Princess and the Frog, especially because of all the delicious New Orleans food they highlight in the movie. I was even more excited to hear that they brought Tiana's Palace to life. Their House Gumbo was so good; it tasted close to the gumbo I had in NOLA! It was so flavorful and had a nice kick to it and felt like a restaurant-quality dish. I was impressed! This is one of my new Disneyland favorites and I highly recommend trying Tiana's Palace!
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
Tiana is my favorite Disney Princess so how could I not pull up to her spot!? A group of us came and it was no line. Walked right in and grabbed a tray -- it's cafeteria lunch lady style. I got the chicken plate came with pickles and a side -- I choose Mac and cheese with cornbread. AND how could I not add Tiana's "man-catching" beignets to my meal!? Got 'em! With the Red Punch (tasted like punch they have at the family reunions, hey IYKYK --it hit the SPOT). Everything tasted great except those beignets that aren't about to CATCH nobody (hence the reason I knocked off 1 star)... Ummm what? who? AND why questions were going through my mind when I took a bite... I'll Share... WHAT was the meaning behind it being SO HOLLOW!? WHO did this??? WHO'S bright idea was this?? WHY did they do this!? Despite being disappointed with those beignets... I throughly enjoyed my meal and would return again! AND for dessert, I'll stop by Mickey's beignets and grab one of his non-hollow ones instead!
google avatar

Yelp
For our last meal in Disneyland, we knew we wanted to eat something reliably tasty. And what's more reliable than gumbo? When we saw the House Gumbo ("Braised Chicken, Andouille Sausage and Heirloom Rice") on the menu at Tiana's Palace, we wasted no time snapping up a bowl to share. It's so good. The various proteins have been cooked perfectly and there's definitely a lot of everything in this stellar stew. The layers of flavor kept revealing themselves as we ate, and I did begin to suspect I probably should've gotten a bowl all for myself. I would imagine everything at Tiana's Palace is just as good. Oh, and the atmosphere is terrific. A jazz band started playing as we were eating!
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
We have always loved the restaurant in the location of Tiana's palace so we were really looking forward to trying it again, and it did not disappoint! I got the jambalaya, my dad got the 7 greens combo with the meat options, and my brother and SIL got the Cajun chicken. The jambalaya was ok, I love that they have a hot sauce station that really kicked up the dish. My dad's gumbo was EXCELLENT. I would highly recommend getting that. I didn't try the chicken, but my brother and SIL LOVED it. They think it's better than the fried chicken (which is a huge statement). They kept raving about how good it is. However, they did say the mac and cheese was disappointing. They liked their other sides though! We all LOVED the corn bread. It's sweet, moist, so good! We also got a chocolate coffin cake which was huge! Very flavorful and moist. Tiana's is great because it's such a fast-cafeteria style service. They do a great job cleaning up tables outside so there is plenty of seating. And I always love the jazz music they have playing. It's extra fun when a live group is performing. Overall we are so happy Tiana's palace is still a great spot to get a good meal!

Yelp
I've always been skeptical of theme park food. It's usually overpriced, rushed, and just good enough to hold you over between rides. But Tiana's Palace really changed my mind. Being from the South and having spent a lot of time in Louisiana, I was honestly surprised by how well they nailed the flavors. The food tasted authentic, not like some quick theme park version of Southern dishes. There were plenty of solid options too. The shrimp po' boy was fresh and flavorful, the gumbo was a hit with my wife, and the beignets were just straight-up delicious. Not too dense, not too dry just right. It's not every day that something you eat at a theme park can transport you back home or remind you of one of your favorite states. Tiana's Palace pulled that off. Now, I won't lie it's pricey. For what it is, the food doesn't completely justify the cost, but at the same time, you have to factor in that this is Disneyland. Everything here is expensive. Considering the location, the quality is still solid and definitely worth enjoying once in a while. If Disney trips weren't so expensive overall, this would be a weekly stop for us. As it stands, it's a must-visit anytime we're in the park.

Yelp
Recommendations: Shrimp po'boy, cornbread, Muffuleta Sandwich Ok so I've gone here a bunch of times now. The gumbo is pretty good, definitely have had better but it is always pretty solid. The shrimp po boy is very salty and could use some salt reduction LOL, so I took the pickle out because it was super salty (which made it a lot better). The sandwich is my top pick, and it is good and filling! The meals come with a side of rice and beans and that left me pretty happy. Lowkey you can't go wrong here, there is usually live music and people watching here. There is ample seating most of the time! The workers always serve food quickly despite lines inside the pick up areas. Also, don't mobile order from here because they give you a literal take out bag and so much plastic stuff, it's a hassle to throw it away.

Yelp
Disneyland Rainy Day Gumbo stop! This day was so cold and gloomy and Tianas House made Gumbo really hit the spot and warmed us up. We paired it with the sweet cornbread with the sweet tasty cornbread. We ordered 2 gumbos and 2 cornbreads and that was enough for our family of 4. Such a great deal for that amount of food at Disneyland. Totally recommend stopping in here. The service was super fast and friendly. Tons of seating, and the inside is absolutely gorgeous. Loved walking in to see the blue roof inspired by the movie. Such a great touch to really feel immersed in the Disney magic.

Yelp
Newest restaurant in Disney. If you like creole food or something to fill you up, this is the place. The quality and quality of the food is superb! My favorite restaurant so far in Disneyland. The staff is very friendly. We met Michelle who was our line greeter who her and her family had worked in Disney for over generations. She herself worked in the many changes of this restaurant for over 20 years! This place is also very lively that many people love sitting here to rest as well. The decor is so true to the princess and the frog and you feel like you're in New Orleans. Can't wait to come back again. Recommend : Jambalaya and beignets!

Yelp
House gumbo on an overcast drizzly day! 5/5 for sure... You definitely want to get it with a side of cornbread, as the sweetness of the cornbread balances out the spicyness of the gumbo. I have had the gumbo from Blue Bayou as well and this one is way different, very spicy, very Cajun, very fun, especially on a cold Disney day. My family of 4 was easily able to split 2 gumbos and 2 cornbreads for about $40 which is decent value for money in DL. I'll return if I can and try the exclusive filled beignets! Ambiance of the inside is really great, they did a fantastic job decorating this area, and plenty of seating outside to enjoy your meal. On top of that, classic word class Disneyland service.

Yelp
"When I open up my own restaurant, I tell you, people are gonna lines up for miles around, just to get a taste of my food."~James(Tiana's father) This southern restaurant located in New Orleans Square, Disneyland is inspired by Princess Tiana's restaurant known for its homemade gumbo and man-catching beignets from the movie Princess and the Frog. We love the movie, our eldest included! So we were excited she wanted to have her 8th birthday dinner here! We ordered the 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage, House Gumbo, Buttermilk Cornbread, Fountain Drinks, Kid's Baked Macaroni and Cheese and House-filled Beignet. I see why Tiana's Palace is known for their homemade gumbo, we thought they were both incredibly flavorful, the first one was topped with white beans, okra, sweet yams and heirloom rice! Even our 8 month old loved it! The cornbread was amazing as well and our 8 year old loved her kid's meal and beignet we sang Happy Birthday to! I would highly recommend this themed restaurant and we're definitely looking forward to returning to try more! Great customer service and nice outdoor seating area, just make sure to plan ahead since it's a popular restaurant! Yelp
Food for the soul at the happiest place on earth? Yes please! As one of the newer restaurants at Disneyland, I was very excited to try this place out. Looking at the menu they had some pretty good options to choose from. I went with the half spiced cajun chicken with mac and cheese, pickles, and coleslaw. I was very impressed with the portion size, this meal held me thru the whole day at Disney! The chicken was juicy and had good flavor, a bit on the sweeter side for Cajun spices, must be the bbq sauce, but it was delicious. The Mac and cheese had good texture and creamy cheesy flavor. The coleslaw and pickles added a nice fresh bite to the plate. All this food for about $19 is a steal for Disney. I would get it again. My bf also enjoyed his gumbo, the chicken in it was super flavorful! For theme park food, it was a good choice indeed. Tip: it is cafeteria style, I would suggest having someone from your party save a table as it can get busy. Happy eats, loves! ^_^

Yelp
We came to Tiana's Palace to get a sweet treat during our trip to Disney and WAU I am impressed. We came for the regular beignets and realized they had ube flavored ones... obvi had to order the special edition ube ones. If you love the normal ones and are a fan of ube.. this is a must try. So yummy + sweet and wow I am impressed Disney had ube flavored food items :-) The wait wasn't too long since we came on sweethearts nite -- they kicked out everyone else out of the event so that was nice. I'll be back soon !

Yelp
The shrimp po boy was one of the best I've ever had. Plus the beans and rice side was super flavorful and had a kick to it too. I honestly didn't expect anything of it especially since it's a side that came with the order but it ended up being a favorite of mine. The cornbread was just okay, in my opinion

Yelp
Theme park food is never what you call SPECTACULAR. At Disneyland there are places that are quite good, and places that are really pretty unimpressive. I always liked the French Market Restaurant, which was the previous one. The retheming wasn't something I was looking forward to. However they did a really terrific job rethemeing it, and an even better job updating the menu. The Jambalaya and Beignets was really delicious and the entire menu looked inviting. They seemed to have curbed the spice level unfortunately, but the portions were generous and the service was fast. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Hey You, Disney Adults! Tiana's Palace was surprise treat we needed to end our night at The Happiest Place on Earth! It's right by the lake with a (ok) view of Fantasmic! The food was surprisingly delicious and packed with flavor. The spicy chicken? Yummmm. I may have gone a little wild with the hot sauce from their dispensers (you can never have too much, right?). The jambalaya and gumbo were solid, though the muffuletta was just meh. My kids, usually more into the churros than anything else, actually agreed that this was way tastier than the other Disneyland spots. No frogs to kiss, no Prince Charming in sight--but happy teenagers? Now that's magic. Who needs a fairy tale when you've got food this good? I'd say this is a solid pick. Btw: There wasn't online ordering available. It was like a cafeteria setup but pretty fast and efficient.

Yelp
Came here for some lunch and were so glad to find a place serving such delicious food. I ordered the 7 greens gumbo, which was a really good sized portion for a fair price and an amazing taste. I am not sure how authentic it is as I have never had authentic gumbo, but this version was really good. They also have three different kinds of hot sauces to play around with if you're looking for more heat in your meal. And they will provide free water cups if you ask so you don't have to pay extra for a bottle of water. One thing I would highly recommend doing is booking your lunch order online while in line for some ride and plan it to be ready when you are done with the ride so you aren't stuck waiting for it to be ready. Seating can be a challenge if you are with a larger group, but there are so many places to sit you are bound to find somewhere to eat.

Yelp
First time here. Dined here today 6/12 at 12:30. Waited 20 minutes in line (order pickup was an hour wait). Tried the 70th anniversary Beignet along with the Muffuletta sandwich. Richard on the line was nice.

Yelp
Haiku: Tiana's Palace In New Orleans Square Cajun & Creole cuisine Foods a bit salty. --- Tiana's Palace is one of my preferred Disneyland dines. I like that this Southern food restaurant has options that aren't all fried, but protein-rich and balanced meals. My usual gets are: - 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage: This dish is filling and packed with flavor and protein. - Cajun-spiced Half Chicken: A generous half-chicken spiced to perfection. It's juicy and tasty. The mac and cheese was cold and dry and just not appetizing. It would have tasted so much better if it was freshly warm. Tip: Order via the mobile app to skip the lines. Just note the food will come in plastic, to-go boxes. You get real plates if you order at the restaurant. Dining outside at Tiana's Palace is gorgeous and dreamy at night. All in all, I'd come back to get these dishes again and try new items.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Tiana's place! Mobile order online was going to be 1.5 hours long! Do we decided to wait in line to get our food. You get the food in plastic containers so I overheard how soggy the beignets got if you ordered from mobile and waited too long? Usually there's two lines so it would've been quicker but we got in right to the other line before they opened the second line. The menu is on the wall so you can check, mobile order also has the menu and pricing! Just in case the prices change. You get to see them make the seasonal strawberry cream filled beignet! It's cafeteria style so you take desert first then let the server know what you want to order and they'll put it together for you (just like the plaza Inn). We ordered 3 kids meal (2 chicken drumstick and 1 Mac n cheese). Comes with a cutie mandarin and apple sauce sides, milk/chocolate milk or Dasani water bottle. The entrees we ordered gumbo with rice (I wanted the least spicy one so they said the jambalaya comes with a mild spicy tomato sauce). The Cajun chicken is half a chicken with side of pickles, coleslaw, and mac n cheese. Drinks are extra as usual for main entrees. We also got the starberry beignet (which I didn't get to try because they ate it before I can take a bite! That's how good it was?!). The gumbo had sausage which is super spicy to me! I could not handle it but the rest was mild spicy which was delicious. Cajun chicken was juicy! Mac n cheese was super cheesy but because we at outside, the cheese was hard. The drumstick was a sweet bbq flavor, my son ate the whole leg! Rice was ok, flavorful but a bit hard. Overall, very good experience. Would like to come back for the beignets again!

Yelp
A mixed bag of results / impressions upon my first visit... I decided to make it a "Tiana" day and previewed the ride and also had lunch here. Mobile ordering around lunch time will take about 45 minutes to an hour to appear. You can also wait in line, cafeteria-style. I ordered the House Gumbo, $17.49, the House Beignet, $4.99 and a large soda, $5.29. After my Magic Key discount, it was a $25.43 meal. Theme park prices- to be expected... The gumbo was surprisingly spicy, at least by American standards... it wasn't too spicy for me, but I know it would be for a lot of people. It wasn't too salty, which was a pleasant surprise. There was A LOT of meat! Chicken, which was tender with literally only one tiny piece of gristle and big chucks of andouille sausage. I did wish for another scoop of white rice or maybe cornbread to sop up all the extra sauce. Not bad and very filling. The beignet however...how are they selling this? The "lemon" filling - more creme than I expected- starting turning into liquid and running out of the beignet faster than I could eat it. Epic fail. They need a complete redo of this idea. That being said, I'd come back to try other items: cornbread, grits, muffuletta sandwich... I love New Orleans foods.

Yelp
Overall not impressed with the food at this restaurant. Service was like a walkthrough cafeteria which was nice. The beignet was not that great and tasted like it was out for a while. Not impressed with it since it was my first Disney beignet and was disappointed. The gumbo was decent but there was so little rice! The gumbo was spicy so that was good. The best redeeming part of this visit was that Princess Tiana walked around and spoke with everyone. My sister was able to get a picture and autograph.

Yelp
Our family's favorite place to dine, the food is so good! The mufeletta and Poboy sandwiches are delicious and the rice and beans with sausage on the side just complement them perfectly. The beignets for dessert are a must! A large covered patio with tons of seating which is great to sit, eat, cool off and people watch. Definitely worth the price as it's so flavorful and keeps you full all day.

Yelp
Food was ok. i got the gumbo it was really good a little spicy. cornbread was delicious. service was fast, plenty of seating before closing. i took a few stars off because the the celebration Beignet was too sweet and had too much raspberry cream. i was not able to try the half chicken because they ran out and it would have been a 30 min wait

Yelp
Pro tip: This place has lots of allergy food if you have special requirements (soy, egg, fish, peanut, milk). Occasionally you get lucky and you'll see Princess Tiana in here so it's a treat for the kiddos when that happens. I personally was a bit disappointed in how slow this location was. It's set up like an old fashion cafeteria serving style so you'd expect to be in and out. The house beignet ($5) wasn't very crispy and quite doughy. The buttermilk cornbread ($4) was very sweet which again surprised me. I'm probably nit picking but if Tiana hails from Louisiana, cornbread should be savory. The jambalaya ($17.49) and gumbo ($17.49) was a little spicy and quite tasty itself. Sadly the chicken was pretty dry had that papery shredded texture. This is probably one of the few locations you can get spicy food at Disneyland.

Yelp
Food was seasoned well. A little spice with the gumbo that I enjoyed. BBQ chicken fell off the bones. Also delicious. Service was easy. You seat yourself. The cast members kept area clean. Food was fast and lines went quickly. Best part was when Tiana came out and greeted us! She was so beautiful! Would come again.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've had at Disney in a long time. The veggie gumbo with chicken and sausage was absolutely delicious. Full of flavour and a very generous portion of meat. We meant to get the cornbread on the side and forgot! The Cajun chicken was really tender and fell off the bone. The side of mac & cheese was a bit dry and stodgy and there was a weird pickle relish but the slaw was really good with the chicken. We finished with the lemon beignet which was delicious! It had a lemony glaze on the top and was filled with a lemon curd flavoured cream. So good if you're a lemon fan. They also had a strawberry one that we didn't try but looked equally as good. I'd definitely go back for the gumbo and beignets.

Yelp
After riding Pirates two times in a row, because it's awesome(!), we decided we wanted a snack, which ended up turning into a meal. I used the mobile app to order ahead and was given a pickup time that was relatively close to the time I placed the order, so we started heading over to the restaurant. By the time we got there, the food was ready for us and we were able to grab a table easily as it, surprisingly, wasn't very crowded at the time. My oldest daughter was craving some gumbo, so that's what she ordered. She loved it! She let me try it and it was honestly really good. My youngest daughter wasn't super hungry so she ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich that came with a mandarin orange, applesauce and a drink. I decided to try their gulf shrimp and grits. I honestly wasn't expecting much because I've had some pretty iconic plates of shrimp and grits. Boy, was I wrong! This was right up there with some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the Creole sauce had amazing flavor. The showstopper was the grits. They were so cheesy and creamy. My youngest tried them and loved them as well, she actually ended up finishing them for me! I highly recommend trying that dish! The meals were served in reusable storage containers, which was perfect since it was towards the end of our day anyway. My oldest brought home her leftovers to enjoy later. The place replicates traditional southern/New Orleans flare. There's a good amount of seating and there's a lot of shade available for dining outside. They offer a beignet, but the classic ones are available on the other side of the building at the Mint Julep Bar.

Yelp
Went here for lunch on May the 4th be with you day, It's right by the pirates carribean location. I sat down looking for a place to sit while my wife ordered. Lots of seating outside. It gets packed! So good luck on finding seats. We were able to get a 20% discount for being an annual park pass members. Jambalaya and Jambalaya soup with a coke. The food was very good. But the quantity for the purchase is not justified. Again, lucky we got discounts which made it fair. Lots of foot traffic and entertainment to see while eating. A band was singing which made my experience worth while.. Overall, pricey but great New Orleans vibe. I would come back. A new restaurant with a great menu. Good food! You would want more. Did not have reservations. Just order and go. Easy breezy!

Yelp
Came to try the beignets. Glazed Lemon beignet: 3/5 very sweet and sticky. Lemon flavor was good. Mickey plain beignets: 4/5 I preferred this one. Basic beignet dusted with powdered sugar. Eat while hot. It's good for what it is but is just ok compared to cafe du monde.

Yelp
Tried Tiana's Palace again, and it was way better this time! The gumbo was super spicy (in a good way), and the cafeteria lady hooked me up with an extra scoop of chicken, which was so nice of her. If you're coming here, definitely line up for food instead of using mobile order. The beignets were fresh and so good. Plenty of seating too, but it's first come, first serve!

Yelp
Tiana's Palace quickly became my favorite spot at Disneyland -- so good I went both days! This restaurant is quick-service and casual dining. It fits the Princess and the Frog theme and has delicious Cajun food. The line is always long, so order ahead on the app! The greens gumbo puts a soulful spin on a classic dish. The strawberry beignet was sweet and yummy but one was enough for me. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the park!

Yelp
Good customer service, the food is okay. I had the gumbo. My niece had the Mac & cheese she said it was hard. So she really didn't eat much. Cute set up but I don't think I will eat it again.
