"Princess Tiana, the chef-turned-princess in The Princess and the Frog, is based on Leah Chase, the legendary chef from Dooky Chase’s in New Orleans. Both the House Gumbo and the 7 Greens Gumbo at Tiana’s Palace in New Orleans Square are inspired by Chase’s real recipes; the latter offers something extra special. The thick stew is made with white beans, yams, okra, and sweet potatoes and served over white rice.
