Tibet Nepal House - Review - Pasadena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There are a couple Himalayan spots in Pasadena, but Tibet Nepal House was the first - and it’s also the best. It’s a great place for a casual weeknight dinner when you feel like eating curried meats and killer vegetable pakora (chickpea fritters). And at lunch, they do a buffet, so you can get all the garlic naan, tandoori chicken, zucchini aloo, and Nepalese curried chow mein your heart desires." - Brett Keating

The Best Restaurants In Seattle

"This low-key Indian and Nepali restaurant on Aurora Ave deserves to be part of the Seattle elite for their momos alone. These juicy chicken parcels disappear from the plate quicker than Mt. Rainier in November, or friends when you need help moving. They’ve got moist filling, a tender wrapper, and preparations that surpass the performance of regular old steam, particularly the tandoori-roasted ones. The other dishes are excellent, too, like thick butter curry that breaks down cubes of stewed lamb beautifully, and the aloo gobi that has us vowing never to take cauliflower and potatoes for granted again. For an area with many outstanding Indian restaurants outside of Seattle proper, we’re lucky to have this one right in Greenwood." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Where To Eat Outside In Pasadena

"Tibet Nepal house is a Nepalese spot in Old Pasadena that’s got a big takeout operation, along with a few tables out on the sidewalk where you can eat curried meats, momo, and killer vegetable pakora." - brett keating

Nothing to find here but great food and service. Absolutely delicious food with a wide variety for every taste. We came in for lunch and the service was absolutely fantastic. There is a great blend of Tibetan Indian Asian with some real unique dishes. I definitely will be coming back.!

Google
The best dinner I’ve had in a long time. The food was delicious and flavorful and came out super quickly! I will be making this my new go to spot for sure!

Google
Good vibes, kind staff that took care of us when we went for their lunch special, which ranges from $15 (veggie) to $17 (masala / meat) depending on your preference. Waiters were kind and took care of us. One issue arose with the masala chai - we were charged the regular menu price of $5.95 instead of the lunch menu price of $4.95. Furthermore, despite the chai coming out in a singular pot (of which we never refilled), we were charged per cup (and thus twice). This was in poor taste, which is the only reason why I must deduct one star in principle. The other reason is that my chicken tikka masala was way too sweet (my pet peeve when it comes to Indian cuisine in America). Otherwise, decent value and will likely be back.

Google
Checking in for lunch 😋🍴 This is a go to for us. Their lunch specials are from 11:30-3 pm come early and come hungry! All of their dishes are full of flavor and I appreciate how you can customize the spice level! The lamb curry and chicken tikka masala is a favorite of ours the lentils, cauliflower and garbanzo beans are the perfect pairing the rice is the cherry to top of this FEAST! The staff is amazing and beyond friendly God bless you all! 🙏🏼

Google
Had to travel to Pasadena every Three weeks for work. I was just walking off the mail road when I saw this wonderful place. I walked in an ordered randomly off the menu. I had no knowledge about the food. The waiter suggested I get a different item and a beer. So I did. Feel for the food that night. When ever I came back into town I ate there at least once. The waiter and owner always recognized me and would say, you’re back in town again. The normal order ? The normal was they brought me something I had not had yet. It was always great.

Google
Have been here twice now and the food and service have yet to disappoint! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back again.

Google
Wonderful food and spices were just right. Never had Nepalese food and learned new words. Service was excellent and patient with us, but he was overwhelmed suddenly with a rush of groups on a quiet Monday night. Highly recommend to try the vegetarian Thail (combos)

Google
Absolutely the most authentic Himalayan cuisine in Los Angeles! We tried the vegetarian momos—delicious and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the Chicken Masala Thali, and I had the Palak Paneer Thali. Both came with perfectly spiced dal and chana masala that were truly outstanding. We’re thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem—it’s officially our new go-to spot. And the naan? Hands down the best in LA—delicious, and absolutely mind-blowing.

Yelp
Very friendly customer service! I ordered online using their website and had some problems setting up delivery and called the restaurant. They were able to set it up and I had a very enjoyable dinner with my family right at home! My favorites were the momos and chow mein.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this place. We came in for lunch during the weekday and were greeted warmly. The restaurant is completely decked out with traditional decorations. We were the only ones there during that time, so we were able to be seated and served right away. I came with a coworker that is vegetarian so definitely a vegetarian friendly place. We got the vegetarian momos as an appetizer and it just wasn't for me. I got the mango Lassy, chicken masala, and samosa. I didn't know what Lassy was but our server recommended me to try it and it was good. It was like a mango flavored yogurt. The chicken masala was rich, creamy, and flavorful. I liked it! It was good but I'm not sure if I would come again. The food wasn't something that REALLY impressed me, but I def recommend to try the food at least once in case you do enjoy this type of food.

Yelp
Came by since I was craving some tikka masala and it looked like a nice place! The ambience and music was relaxing, and it was quite quiet around dinner time. The good: Chicken Tikka Masala - 8.5/10 the spices were delicious! I personally thought it was a bit sweet, but paired with the garlic naan and rice was amazing Garlic Naan - 10/10 it is quite hard to mess this one up and glad to say this place cooked it perfectly! Mango Lassi - 8/10 had a nice subtle flavor and creamy, but was a little put off by it being room temp Some things that weren't for me: Chicken Momo: 5/10 Just was not the type of flavor I prefer. It had a very strong herbal? taste and not a flavor I was used to. Could definitely be a hit for others though! Saag: 5/10 too creamy and cheesy for me and I wanted some more flavor. The owner of the store did offer some hot sauce though so it might've been better with it? The Service: Our main waiter was pretty attentive and checked in with us and refilled our drinks regularly! However, we were left with a sour taste during our ordering experience. We initially only intended to order the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and chicken momo, but the owner? insisted that was not enough food for two and recommended the saag. We felt a little pressured and agreed to order it. In the end, we actually had too much food leftover and felt taken advantage of. I don't think I'll be returning to this establishment, but I acknowledge that my experience with the food I did not enjoy as much was due to my personal preferences.

Yelp
Visited on a food tour and enjoyed the veg and yak mo-mo dumplings. The wrapper on the veg dumpling was very good. The yak dumpling tasted like a cross between pork and beef and was very interesting. The locals in the group said they enjoyed many items at this restaurant and the lunch buffet

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant! We were greeted and seated quickly, service was fast and friendly. We tried a variety of items. My husband ordered a vegetable noodle dish that I had never heard of. I got the vegetarian Thali with tofu. We also got the yak Momo just because we wanted to try it. We did ask for everything to be make extra spicy. The spice level was perfection! The noodles and Thali were full of flavor and tasted fresh. The yak Momo were delicious but the top of the Momo were crunchy. I would absolutely recommend Tibet Nepal and look forward to returning.

Yelp
Second time visiting this spot - great service and the food was tasty as well. I really enjoyed the aloo gobi, lamb curry, and Chana masala.

Yelp
We sat outside for lunch in the shade with the dog. We started with the Mo-Mo dumplings that were steamed and had a nice layered flavor. Didn't really need the dipping sauce. For entrees the chicken tiki masala, had to try it. I recommend everyone that has their favorites to try them at every restaurant that serves it up. I thought we would take half of the sauce home... NOPE, we used the traditional Dhopi, stone ground whole wheat flat bread as a little shovel to scoop up every last little drop! So good. We also ordered the Garlic Mint Chicken as my friend in real life and Yelp @Paul J. raved about it in his help in 2016.... Yes, I do read the Yelps in advance to making my menu selections. It had a lovely flavor and would recommend starting with this first, then save the plate licking of the tiki masala sauce for last. Our service was attentive and gracious. Really a lovely experience all around.

Yelp
It's said Nepalese food is a cross between Chinese and Indian cuisines, but the reality is a bit more complex than that. I agree. And this joint is the best of the best. Handmade curries, clay-oven meat dishes, and a variety of noodle dishes to suit any palate seeking out Indian, Nepali, Tibetan, or just plain under-appreciated Himalayan staples. We opted for the Lamb Curry Thali and Paneer Masala, two strong dishes which were cooked to perfection and spiced on the milder side for newbies. What I liked is how the staff knew you serve Lamb Curry with plain rice, not any biryani variety, which is too often recommended at everyday Indian restaurants. Each dish was prepared with care, to our spice levels, using quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to ensure an authentic Nepalese experience. (PS - to Desi folks, the vibe is very much like a dhaba, which I loved!) An interesting note: the table actually has a placard that lists the many spices used in the cuisine. They range from fiery spices of the Kathmandu Valley, the earthy flavors of the mountains, to the milder notes of the Terai plains, so you can actually understand how the dishes vary from basic Indian ones. Parking is a chore and only via side streets. But, the service is tops. Actual Nepali friends to help guide you through the menu. We'll definitely be back for more.

Yelp
The ambiance in here was pretty cool. Quiet, dimly lit, and relaxed. Lunch review. Vegetarian review. Lunch special: matter paneer. The lentils were great. It was kind of a soup of sorts, and was so, so tasty. Salty and savory. Very good. You also get rice and like, 6 pieces of naan. Matter paneer was a bit on the sweet side, and otherwise, lightly seasoned. Not really punchy in flavor. Lunch special: aloo gobi. All lunch specials come with rice, naan, and lentils. The aloo gobi was also nice. This was also lightly seasoned. The cauliflower itself was great in texture. Samosa: this was very good. Flavors were on point, and the insides were made up of potato, peas, and something else. Vegetable momos: worth getting. They came out kind of cold, and the bottoms have a tend to break, but they were delicous. Parking is apparently in a parking garage somewhere. There's metered parking right outside as well if you can score it. Service was very slow on a Thursday during lunch. Not that many people there (like, 2 or 3 other parties, and a few to-go orders), but the one person there was apologetic and did try his best.

Yelp
My first time trying Tibetan/Nepalese food! Came to celebrate hubby's birthday with a group of 6. Though our party showed up at staggered times, they were kind enough to allow us to get a table first. I'd say Tibetan/Nepalese food is a fusion between Indian and Chinese flavors and we all really enjoyed our meal! We ordered everything family-style & mild. -Chicken Mo-mo Dumplings, these were standard dumplings. The skin broke a little easily or got tough when cold. -Chicken Pokauda, these were deep fried chicken strips, but they almost had a fishy flavor profile to them that some in our party mistook for fish sticks. They were a bit salty, but I actually liked the seasoning and chutney it came with. -Shrimp Masala, this was good! Standard masala flavor, not spicy at all. -I wanted the Tofu Salad, but they misheard it as Tofu Saag (lol!). We kept it anyway, since it's tofu and pureed spinach. It was interesting, and a way for us to still get some greens in. -Lamb Vindaloo, hubby loved this. Not too gamey and flavors were good. -Phing Noodles w/ meat, I can't remember if we ordered Chicken or Lamb. But these are a bean thread noodle and stir-fried. I liked it. -Tandoori Chicken, this was a cross between Chinese/Canto-style BBQ Pork and Tandoori Chicken flavor. It was good. -I know we ordered a Yak dish, I can't remember if it was the Yak Chili. It was good as well, first time trying Yak meat. Not gamey at all, tastes like beef. We also ordered the Garlic Naan and some Basmati rice for the table to share. Their Naan is really good! Love how it's a bit thicker & chewier than Indian Naan bread and paired well with scooping up the curries! Restrooms are outside the back of the restaurant & clean. Service is fairly quick & staff were friendly. Parking is either street parking, or you can park a couple of blocks down in the Old Town lots ($2.00 for first 2 hours) and walk over. Hubby & I are curious to try their weekend buffet, so stay tuned for update!

Yelp
The staff were all very polite. The restaurant is decorated completely- the walls, the floor, even the ceilings. And the music fit perfectly. It all works together to create a really nice ambiance. And the food was great! The samosa was really good but it was pretty bland without the sauces that come with it. I got the apricot naan because I'd never heard of that before. It was awesome! I loved the subtle sweetness. I actually used it to dip into my chicken tikka masala because it was spicy (even though I ordered mild) and it didn't come with rice (which I did think was odd). I will say, if you can't tolerate spicy, this might not be the place for you since my friend also ordered mild and her dish was too spicy for her.

Yelp
Pretty quiet on a week day lunch, but we ordered a pretty robust array. We were not disappointed, everything tasted like it was freshly made right there with fresh herbs and spices. You can tell because the flavors of the spices are so much more punchy. There was only one chap serving and hosting but he took the time to discuss heat levels and talk through the menu. We had plenty of left overs for another day, we want to come back and try the buffet.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing presentation and great service. The food was so delicious and had great spice. I really enjoyed this place and will come back again. Not many places like this and I definitely recommend the Indian beer.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in all of Pasedena! The service is great and the owners are very friendly and communicative. The food's flavor is out of this world.

Yelp
After learning about Tibet and Nepal, I wanted to take my students to try Himalayan food. The restaurant was incredibly accommodating, opening an hour early to prepare food for 35 sixth graders. The students and faculty could not stop raving about the food- the tikka masala and palak paneer were the best I've had, and the chow mein had incredible depth of flavor with a nice kick. The aloo gobi and momos were a hit as well. I've never seen kids devour food that was so new to them with such enthusiasm. We came across town to try the food, and all of us can't wait to return. Agan made the children feel welcome, pointed out and explained the beautiful artwork, photos, prayer wheels, and statues decorating the restaurant, and made sure to accommodate various food allergies (nuts, dairy, wheat, vegetarian, etc). My mouth is watering just recalling the food.
google avatar

Lucy W.

Yelp
This is the best place for flavorful, authentic, quality food. My mouth waters any time I think of any of the dishes I've tried there. It's easy to drive an hour from the SFV just to come for the deliciousness. All the servers and staff are so kind and helpful and it feels like a great family environment. It's hard to veer away from my usual choice of Palak Paneer but when I do, it's always great. Next time I'll try the Phing noodles.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: Lamb tikka masala was so flavorful and good balance of acidity and creaminess. Garlic mint chicken and tandoori chicken were a little dry, but very flavorful and tender with a good char. Garlic naan is a must with any of their curries.
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
I honestly wish I could give this place 20 stars because the food here was so delicious and literally warmed my heart eating it (especially eating the coconut chicken)! My new absolute favorite! Btw the service was also great and the atmosphere was delightful and welcoming.

Yelp
Probably the most non chaotic place to dine in old town. The thali is great if you like variety or are indecisive. Generous and sharable portions no matter what you order. Flavor cannot be missed. The gulab jamun (?) is a perfect treat at the end. Friendly service.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. It is a staple delivery for us. Their tikka masala is great, and the aloo gobi is delicious!

Yelp
I can't say enough wonderful things about the ambiance, the quality and flavor of the food, and how kind the people who work there are. I came here on a whim and ordered a mild vegetable curry (koma?) and their pickle potato salad. I also got dhopzi (bread for my curry) and a pot of Darjeeling. Everything was so flavorful and satisfying, I am a spice-weakling and know this style of cuisine tends to be on the hotter end but it was absolutely fantastic and made me wish I could eat spicier food. At the end they suggested I try the Kheer rice pudding it was incredibly delicious, the spices and complexity of flavor, the gentle sweetness, all of it paired perfectly and was the perfect way to finish my tea. Came in with little to no understanding of what I was ordering and can't wait to come back and try more. Thank you for the wonderful food.

Yelp
Fantastic! My favorite meal that I've had in old town Pasadena. Strongly recommend the clay oven mixed platter and the masala combo.

Yelp
I've been going here for quite a few years now! My all time favorite dish is the shrimp tikka masala with garlic naan. We order it everytime. The staff is so kind and the food is always fresh. It's my go too.

Yelp
Incredible hidden gem! I was impressed by their delicious Indian and Nepalese dishes, as well as the passion of the owner, Raj. My wife works at Concierge Mental Health & Associates, which is right around the corner, and she loves to go here for their lunch special. We're very appreciative of the generosity of their staff, management, and she's furthermore grateful for their support of Post-Conventional Psychology and the Six Sigma Scholarship and Working Professionals Fund. Thank you for your community support, for feeding us both with delicious food as well as with kind hospitality!

Yelp
I just popped in for a quick to-go order of mo-mos. The service was fast and friendly, and the mo-mos were delicious.

Yelp
**A Culinary Odyssey at a Hidden Gem** I've been around the block a few times, tasted the best and the worst this world has to offer, but this little spot caught me off guard. Frequenting the area, I'd never ventured into this unassuming restaurant until now. Making a reservation seemed almost unnecessary as we arrived to an empty dining room. Skepticism crept in, but the aroma in the air whispered promises of an unforgettable meal. We decided to roll the dice. The menu was a delightful mishmash of cultures, a rarity even in the melting pot of Southern California. Intrigued, we dove in with lamb curry, cheesy naan, and a few other dishes that, in my haze of culinary bliss, have faded from memory. But oh, that lamb curry - it was a revelation, a pinnacle of flavor. I ordered the tikka masala, fully aware of its cliché status, but it delivered an explosion of spices that danced on my palate. Service was a curious blend of awkward upselling and genuine enthusiasm, but it was never pushy. The bathrooms were pristine, a detail often overlooked but appreciated. What truly won me over, though, was the to-go experience. They brought out tinfoil, paper bags, and more, a logistical marvel that made leftovers a joy rather than a chore. As our meal wound down, the restaurant began to fill. Maybe we just beat the rush. The ambiance, adorned with Tibetan artwork and flags, was a serene backdrop to this culinary journey. Vegetarian options abounded, and spice lovers will find their haven here, with customizable heat levels for many dishes. In the end, this place is a hidden gem, a beacon for those seeking something extraordinary in the ordinary. Don't sleep on it - your taste buds will thank you.

Yelp
So delicious had one of the best soups of my life!! Can't wait to try more. Service lovely and helpful. Atmosphere calming. Prices wonderful. So flavorful.

Yelp
We ended up here during the holidays and were pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian thali. It was really flavorful and reasonably priced. It wasn't spicy but the food had great flavors and felt wholesome. We also got the samosa which wasn't good. I would recommend skipping it. Their vegetarian momos with the chutney was delicious but I have had better momos. Service was not that great. They kept forgetting to bring us water and green chutney, we had to ask 3 times. There is some parking on the streets but could be a challenge during busy time.

Yelp
First time trying this place and IT IS A MUST TRY! Their chicken tikka masala, garlic naan bread and fish coconut curry has so much flavor! Place is very cute and clean. Customer Service is top notch and we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've been craving momo recently, so I tried this place for the first time. This is everything we ordered. VEGETABLE MOMO DUMPLINGS: tasty and I'd order them again, however it would have been nice if their achaar had more of kick. It was quite mild, and some spice would have been nice. DAAL: comforting and simple as daal should be. ALOO TAAMAA: a strong bamboo flavor at first, yet still tasty. I'd recommend this if you'd like to try a unique flavor. VEGETABLE PHING: yummy. Service and ambiance: the place was super cute. Took me back to Nepal. I loved the music and the decor. They came around to refill my water and I appreciate that. They were friendly. Overall: a good place to try Himalayan cuisine

Yelp
Came here with my partner for dinner after a long day at the convention center, and we stepped into a relaxing atmosphere with soft music playing Servers were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, aromatic and authentic! Highly recommend ordering the matter paneer

Yelp
Food was really delicious especially the curry that we got. We ordered the yak momo, lamb marsala thali, and matter paneer. Our favorite was the lamb marsala thali and matter paneer. The yak momo was good but the skin was on the drier side, especially the top fold that makes it seems like they just microwaved it instead of steaming it fresh per table. Overall the food was delicious, we would come back but wouldn't get the momo appetizer again. Service can be improved, they were understaffed and we didnt get service or water after we sat down for a while.

Yelp
Enjoyed our meal here - staff were extremely friendly and the combination of curry and Mandi was a nice mix

Camilla R.

Yelp
Best food ever. The staff are the most incredible they're highly attentive to your needs and are so sweet and kind the owners of this place I've been here forever and truly care about their food. You cannot go wrong with any dish you'll be so happy to come here. This is the best Tibetan spot in the entire state. Such a cute atmosphere as well come here and you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
The food here was really good! I completely forgot to take some pictures and just dug right in haha. I would say though the flavoring or seasoning here is lighter than other places of similar cuisine so if you are not too good with spices and spicy, this place is perfect. The portions are pretty satisfactory l as well, I didn't leave hungry still- you can share a rice or two and everyone order a curry or an entree. Service was fine and prompt. They were great and friendly and they explained everything pretty good. One thing I did notice that I didn't like was the server held the glass but the edge with his fingers inside to refill or add water which was kind of off putting. Other than that everything was good. The restaurant is a bit on the small side and does have a certain accent to it. It's not the nicest but it is fine. It would be great if there was a bit more room between tables- as a whole the restaurant felt slightly cramped. Place was worth for the food. That's all. Pretty good food at that.

Yelp
Delicious food, nice staff, reasonable prices for Pasadena. I wish rice was included with main dishes. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This restaurant hasn't been the same without Tinku! The service is poor. The person taking orders (with a mustache) was not friendly at all and rushed us to order. He's an employee that has worked there for awhile and isn't someone new. After 35 minutes from sitting, he asked us if it's ok to finish up and leave our table in 15 minutes, so he can seat other customers! My poor son was trying to scarf down his rice and tandoori chicken as this guy kept checking on us to leave, even though he knew we ordered a lot - 3 orders of vegetable thalis, 2 orders of tandoori chicken, 1 palak paneer entree, 1 side naan, and masala teapot. We also noticed he didn't ask other customers at other tables who arrived before us to leave. The owners to this place should really consider finding a better employee who is nicer to their customers. Everyone looks forward to have a warm and inviting experience when they eat out. Unfortunately, this guy completely doesn't get that basic understanding.

Yelp
First time reviewing a restaurant. Amazing food, so delicious. Amazing environment and aesthetic, beautiful music, super welcoming owners. Would definitely come back whenever in the area.

Yelp
My friend and I came at around 2:50 not realizing this place actually closed for the afternoon at 3. They still, very graciously, let us in! Our waiter (the owner I'm assuming?) kept emphasizing that we should take our time and to not worry about anything. He was super patient even though we were cutting into his break time and I could just tell that was just generally a great guy to talk to. We order the yak momos, chicken momos, tikka masala, and garlic nan! I'd never tried Nepalese food and this was a great introduction. The momo skins were so thin and expertly made!! And the spices in the momos didn't really taste familiar at all but it was very delicious. The downside of this place is definitely parking, but this is a similar problem for all Pasadena restaurants. I believe you'll more likely than not have to pay for parking, but there are plenty of garages and street parking around.
google avatar

Gabby P.

Yelp
Food was good! Tasty and from what I understand, pretty authentic. The servers were very friendly and kind. The environment was quiet, though, and when my friend and I went inside, we were the only ones there. There were also quite a few flies inside, but not to the point where the meal wasn't enjoyable. We also got the chai, which was super different from the chai you'd get at a cafe. Very thick and creamy and we got it unsweetened so we could adjust the sweetness to our liking with the sugar packets at the table.
google avatar

Jon R.

Yelp
First time trying this place, ambiance was came when they opened so it was kinda quiet but can see this place getting a little louder. Had chicken tika masala, vegetable samosa. Jasmin rice and chicken momo. Mogatwahni soup was excellent. The ice tea we did not like it was very very bitter to us. Would definitely come back they had a lot of flavors I had never had before. The only other thing I couldn't get or try was the aloo achar dipping sauce, was cool but it was very different to anything I've ever had it was like citrus smoke and dry seasonings. But the chicken momo was delicious.

Yelp
If you're looking for an amazing authentic, culinary and cultural experience from Nepal with hints of India, China, and the entire region look no further. This place is as OG as you can get. The owners are the servers are the bussers are the cooks, and they care about the customers just as much as they care about the food.

Yelp
Terrible Service here. Its dead and dirty inside. It was to be good. Dine in here before and was calling for a question. After one employee and transfer to another employee, they start yelling at me and hang up on me. No more again for me. I am not going support this rude small business anymore.

Yelp
What a terrific place to enjoy Tibetan Nepalese food! The menu is broad and reasonably-priced, with dishes for omnivores and plant-based diners alike. We tried the phing, which had a light kick of spice (at a "medium" spice level), the paneer masala, veggie momo, and peshwari naan. The momo and masala were up there with my favorites of these dishes! The masala sauce is creamy and flavorful, rich enough to be great with rice or naan on its own. The peshwari naan was a little disappointing-- it was a tad dry and not as fluffy as I'm used to. Also, the naan filling was mild in flavor, and didn't stand out among the other dishes. But since everything else was so good, I'm happy to try a different naan on my next visit. The masala chai was tasty, not too strong in flavor, but the spices were cohesive, and comes in a big pot. The ambiance of this restaurant is lovely. With the super high ceilings, sound cascades upward and makes for a pleasantly calm dining experience, even when the place is pretty full of diners. Also, the natural light through the skylight makes for a beautiful daytime/afternoon meal. The artwork on the walls of Himalayan mountain hikers and large Buddha statues are charming and relaxing. The service is quick and friendly, with patient and attentive staff. Definitely recommend a stop in here!

Yelp
Could be better. I wouldn't go out of my way here as I've had better nepalese and indian food from other places. This type of cuisine is definitely limited in the pasadena area so please take my 3 stars with a grain of salt. We ordered a large order to go with most items ranging from 10-12$. The biggest gripe which is evident in other reviews.. is that there is not enough meat in the dishes.. The ratio is definitely out of proportion. We ordered two chicken tikka masala dishes after reading from other reviews how small the portion is which yes, is true, but I wouldn't complain about the portion if there was more chicken. There were like 3-4 VERY small pieces in our chicken tikka masala and we ended up throwing costco chicken in there to satisfy our chicken needs. Also, I ordered paneer masala and I kid you not... I got 3 pieces of paneer! This order was for lunch so it wasn't like it was the end of the day. I would not recommend to come out your way for it but despite the portions, the food is good. Not oily, and tasty. Just not good value in my opinion. Out of the chicken and yak momos (dumplings)-- I would recommend getting the chicken momos and their samosas!

Yelp
Went there for dinner last night after craving their delicious food since we last visited for lunch back in May. We don't know the owner/manager's name but he is so pleasant every time. Had the savory and tikka chicken mascara (mediumis pretty spicy!), best garlic Naan, samosa (perfectly fried, not oily), and creamy mango lassi. Yummy!

Yelp
Only reason i don't give this place 5 stars is partly my fault cause I came with my brother but we only had 30 minutes to eat LOL so we weren't able to try more foods and spend time to actually enjoy eating the food, but we ate some dine in then took the rest home. WE ORDERED CHICKEN CURRY COMBO AND CAULIFLOWER. The curry was my favorite followed by the cauliflower then chana masala
