I decided to use Tiffany's to cater a work event I was planning. Usually, with catering orders, you deal directly with the bakery or owner, but I was told to order through the portal, which I did. I ordered 200 cupcakes and 8 jugs of coffee. I had to choose a four-hour delivery window and I chose 9-1 pm because my event was beginning at 2 pm. I followed up closer to the event, asking if they could deliver after noon because I worried that if it was delivered between 9-12 pm, the coffee would be cold by 2 pm. They assured me they would get the order to me closer to the event time. So, I am thinking they will show up between 12 and 1 pm. After 1 pm when they did not arrive, I checked their tracking and it said between 12:45 and 1: 45 pm delivery. I was okay with that. I would still have 15 minutes to set up. When it became 1:30 pm and they were no cupcakes/coffee, I started to get nervous. I checked the tracking and it says deliver 2:30-3:30 pm. I scramble, call the 844 number and go through the prompts trying to get a hold of a live person, while also sending out an email to the bakery. When I finally get through to someone, they say the driver is on the way, phew. This is about 1:35 pm and they are coming from Center City to University City. It's close to 2 pm and still no cupcakes/coffee, I call and email again. Once again I am assured, "the driver is en route." Me hyperventilating now, since I have this event planned for 300 people from 2-3 pm, have no coffee, no cupcakes, and only vegan brownies to offer at this point. I quickly send out an email saying our event is delayed. People are still arriving at 2 pm, because who checks their email right before an event? It's 2:15 my coworkers are trying to calm me down and tell me it will be okay. Guests are upset and restless. I call ONCE AGAIN and I am told the driver is on their way. I said you all told me that at 1:37 pm and it is now 2:15 pm, it does not take that long to get to UC from CC even WITH traffic. I mentioned you should check on that driver and make sure that he is okay. I am honestly concerned about him at this point. She said, yes, he's okay. I said what time did he leave your facility, she finally admitted he left at 1:57 pm and that there were two deliveries at the same time. I was about to lose it. I hung up the phone, threw up my arms, and vowed to never use this bakery for any professional or personal events again. The driver did show up at 2:20 pm. I was able to set up by 2:35 pm and our event ended at 3:00 pm. The cupcakes tasted good, that was the only saving grace, but I will not work with a company that lies to me and does not offer in any way to make up for their huge mistake. If the delivery time was an issue, to begin with, I would have canceled the coffee and had the cupcakes delivered earlier. There are ways to work around last-minute issues, but I cannot endorse a company with terrible customer service and outright lies. No offer to refund the delivery charge or give us 10% off, or even throw in a few extra cupcakes for their error. Just so you know, I waited a week to post this review, so I would be calm while writing it. I couldn't even take any photos because the event was in full swing by the time I was set up.
