My Indian friend said the Chicken Korma was the best curry he’s had in Boulder. It was delicious. Chicken breast cooked to perfection, which is hard to get right. The Tandoori Chicken was also incredible! And a HUGE portion. This place is worth the price. Note: we got both at 3/5 spiciness and it was barely spicy at all to me. So they’re definitely catering to the Caucasian palate. Go for 5/5 if you want spice.

Everything was amazing- lunch special was a great value- I got chicken curry and chicken masala- both amazing, momos, the naan is probably the best I’ve had! Love this place

I go here probably twice a week and never get tired of it! I get a lot of Indian food and their saag is really great here and naan. Very flavorful samosas as well! One of the best, was so happy to find them.

I used to love the place … the dal makhani and paneer masala had a uniquely authentic Punjabi flavor. I recently visited them a few weeks ago, and I can’t recognize the food. It was very generic and bastardized. They have lost the authentic touch they once had.

Food is great ..service makes it not worth it. She is so impatient! I asked for a chicken curry with 2 sides... she said, "you're so confusing! They are all curries!" Sorry!!!! That was my 3rd time, and she's always super impatient and rude.

I would give four and a half Stars if Google allowed me. In a strip mall and an unassuming space, Tiffins India Cafe is a little gem. I had naan bread, chole, saag and dhal with rice. The only reason they are not getting five stars is that the rice was a tad bit mushy. The chole had a lovely onion gravy and flavorful spices, and the saag was also good. Everything was served piping hot. The hostess gave me chai plus a refill even though I remembered only after I had paid for my meal that I wanted to add chai to it! I will be back.

Literally the best Indian in Colorado! I just moved to Broomfield from Boulder and even though there are several Indian places around me, I still make the drive to Boulder just for Tiffin’s because it’s THAT good! If you’re deciding between Tiffin’s and Mt. Everest, definitely go Tiffin’s! Thank you, Tiffin’s!

Tiffins was one of my favorite places to eat and I'm sure will be again when the king permits it. Everything is always clean, neatly presented, and delicious. Adding naan to a lunch meal is disturbingly cheap for the amount that you get.

Yelp
I came to Tiffins because other reviews have noted it's one of the few places in Boulder that is genuinely good and consistent. I was not disappointed! I got an order of garlic naan, alongside chicken masala (I asked for the hottest spice level). Both were very flavorful and definitely satisfied my need for some decent Indian food. While appearing somewhat pricey upon checking out, the portions are quite acceptable for the price. In fact, I only ate one naan (3 leftover) and half of my meal.. so now I have dinner for tomorrow!! The employees who helped me order were very kind and even brought my food over to my table (which I did not expect for a quick service restaurant). Restaurant is decently clean, with the only exception to this being stacked boxes in customer view due to what I can guess is a lack of storage space. In my opinion.. who cares? Food and service were both good! Is this place something what blew me away? No. But I am very happy with my visit. One other fun note: they for some reason had Sabrina Carpenter's "Please Please Please" on repeat the entire time I was there, which was interesting. I mean.. good song! But I was there for about 30 minutes. LOL

Yelp
It's been awhile since I gave Tiffin's a shout out!! Dang, their food is so good!! Went for lunch today with my sister. We also had chai and a lassi. Everything was great - Kind staff, tables were clean (they've made some nice updates in the dining area), food is consistently delish.

Yelp
I stopped by Tiffins before seeing a show at Fiske with a friend. We needed something somewhat fast, so she suggested Tiffins. It's kind of like a fast casual type of Indian restaurant. The portions were huge, which I appreciated since it is actually quite expensive. I think my friend and I could've shared a meal rather than getting two of the same thing. I also tried the masala dosa and it was good! The garlic naan wasn't my favorite since it was crispier than I prefer, but not a showstopper. I'd go back. The service was friendly too.

Yelp
Came around opening and it took nearly 30 minutes to get our food after ordering. The food tastes slightly different than other Indian restaurants, but I loved it. If you have time on your hands I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Nice little cafe offering North Indian and South Indian food varieties. We ordered chicken curry with rice and veg biryani. The biryani portion was huge but it was quite spicy even though we asked to make it mild. The staff is very rude so don't expect much in terms of customer service.

Yelp
I'm going to review the food only we didn't need service, it's fast food. Delicious Indian food. Great fresh naan. I had the saag paneers. Food take a little bit longer to cook but totally worth it. Bon Appetite

Ravi D.

Yelp
good dosa in boulder. did not expect it. Also the idlies are very soft and the podi is very good. the kebab is pretty good too.

Yelp
I tried this place on a whim and felt sick after eating there. Food was ok, not something I would seek out again. Ambience was austere. The counter ladies were nice but service was sloooooow. I guess people like it but I wont go back and risk getting sick again. Better options available in Boulder.

Yelp
Great food, excellent flavors, polite and pleasant servers, great atmosphere. Stopped here for dinner in Boulder, and I really enjoyed my meal!

Yelp
If we don't include the Nepalese restaurants serving Indian food, there aren't many Indian restaurants in Boulder proper. That said, this place is a blessing that serves good quality, flavorful, legit Indian food! The mango lassi uses too much mango purée but let's just not dwell on that. I usually go there when I have snack/street food cravings but I got the opportunity to try their goat curry. Excellenct food, as always not disappointed. Be mindful of what you order, the cost adds up pretty quickly! That is the only downside, considering it's a pretty humble sit down restaurant (I.e you don't go there for the ambiance) it costs quite a bit. But it's Boulder!! And everything is expensive. Another thing to be mindful of is when you go. It gets really busy especially with the take out orders, which is a positive sign. I ordered the below: Goat curry, Garlic Naan, Chai, samosa chat (5/5) Mango lassi (2/5) ... too much purée try to pick the lighter colored ones from fridge Kheer/rice pudding (3/5) fresh, but nothing exceptional flavor wise Samosa chat can be spicy and I always order it with extra raita Enjoy a great local Indian restaurant in Boulder :)!!

Yelp
Food was not tasty, bland lacking Indian spices/touch. Service was slow and non-accommodating.

Mark M.

Yelp
Stopped by and had a chicken saag and a chai latte. Both were the best we had ever had!! The people were so nice, and the food came pretty quickly. It's such a cozy, simple place where you can come to get a quick snack and hang out. I highly recommend this place for catering, or to come with friends. And finally, their menu, they have soooo many options to be sure everyone gets something to their taste.

David T.

Yelp
So good. Ordered dinner for family tonight here and each entree was great. Naan was also solid. Fragrant as well. Definitely a recommend and we'll be back again. Wonderful meal.

Yelp
Somebody I met strongly recommended Tiffins as being very authentic. I love dosas, and not many restaurants here offer dosas. All curries were good, and rice was cooked appropriately. Bad rice can completely ruin the experience. One issue we had was that the containers that had dal soup (I think) could not be opened at all - Boyle-Charle's law? Finally I could open one, and had it with dosas and samosas. I see another Tiffins in Longmont now. Related?
google avatar

Yelp
Came in for some evening snacks. The word tiffin is predominantly used in south India and South Indian staple is filter coffee. This restaurant does not serve any type of coffee and the tea is premade and stored in a flask. One star off for that. We got mango lassi, chai and samosa chaat. Mango lassi was good, chai was too sugary! Samosa chat was very good, big quantity and spicy! The chole was hot and quite spicy and we loved it!
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
Tiffin's Indian food is an awesome place to get Indian food. I have had several of their dishes and their curries are all solid. What I like most about Tiffins is the fact that they make really great Dosa. Dosa is a very thin Rice and Lentil crepe which is then filled with potatoes and herbs and or cheese. Dosa is not made by many Indian restaurants in the Boulder area so this is one of the few places we can pick up Dosa. My wife is gluten free so she love them and the kids love them too as they get to tear of pieces of the Dosa and dunk them in sauces. (kids love this ! ) If you want to grab some excellent Indian food especially Dosa this is a good choice!
google avatar

Esther T.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a strip mall, therefore has plenty of parking spots. The restaurant inside is not fancy but tables are nicely spaced out. The food was excellent. The masala dosa is the best, the flavor and the texture of the potato stuffing was perfect. The dosa wrap was light and crispy. I recommend to share the dosa dish with someone because the portion is very big. We also had goat curry, tandoori chicken and the mixed biryani. All were delicious. The mango lassi was refreshing. The butter naan was a little burnt and dry. Service was fast and the price was reasonable. If you like Indian food but don't like it too hot this is the place for you. I find the food here very flavorful but not overly spicy.

Yelp
At their admission preparation order is: online, at tables, then walk in to take out --sadly that's not posted anywhere My "waiting times may be as much as 25 minutes" order took just over 50 minutes to appear. worst of all I ordered two veggie meals and just bit into a piece of MEAT I would have let all of this go until that happened
google avatar

Adriana R.

Yelp
This place was my local haunt all through college. Amazing dal tarka, tikka masala, naan, and other curries. Good service is quick, lunch deals are great, and food is amazing. Highly recommend you go if you are in the area!
google avatar

Gigi J.

Yelp
Talk about a room with zero ambiance and a host with the charm of a Bored Bobcat, Tiffins. Then after quite a lengthy wait the entrees arrived. I'm a person who loves vindaloo and Yes, Hot! This was fiery and perhaps the best vindaloo I've ever had. The chicken masala (medium) was fabulous and the garlic naan the best! They seem to be doing a robust take out delivery. I get it. So maybe order take out?! Great Indian food!
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Still the best Indian in town (by a pretty good margin). The three Curry special for lunch for $14 is an amazing deal- very high probability of leftovers!

Bonnie G.

Yelp
totally delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. Excellent value for the cost. Every single staff member in the restaurant was efficient and cheerful. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
google avatar

Anna V.

Yelp
The best in town! I've been eating here for the past ten years and their dishes are always so flavorful. The staff are friendly and super sweet. The dining room has comfortable booths to sit at; if you dine in definitely get the lunch plate. The curry and korma with garlic naan are our favorites. Their chai is the perfect balance of spices and a touch of sweetness. This place feels like home.

Yelp
Walked in and walked out ..their new locale in longmont is a 180 of this board of health risk . Tables were unclear.i quickly observed the tali dish others had on their tables and it did not look appetizing ..the door didn't even come close to hitting me on the way out to sherpas adventure .
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
I gave these guys a bad review because my food wasn't very good and I really got sick later and then I noticed how dirty the place was, you couldn't even see out the door because of all the grease on it and then I realized that my review disappeared all of a sudden so here I am trying it again.

Yelp
Decided to try this spot out after hearing good things about the masala dishes from my little brother. Despite some hesitation to try indian food again since i haven't in a long time, i decided to try it and keep an open mind without thinking about prior poor experiences. Little brother and i wanted to binge horror films, so we ordered delivery from this spot. we ordered two of the chicken masala dishes with their homemade tomato based curry and basmati rice. i also added on the naan and garlic naan sides after my little brother recommended we get it. the chicken masala was fairly good with a creamy tomato base, but it did lack some depth in flavor compared to other places i've tried with a tomato based curry. the spices were super subtle, which i didn't care for and overall the dish lacked depth to have me craving for more with each bite. the chicken pieces were kind of dry, but they were alright because they weren't over-cooked. the naan and garlic naan came cold and they were so over-toasted that i couldn't taste much of it outside its charred and smokey essence. both naan were disappointing and i would never get it again to be honest. the texture was like burnt flour tortillas with too much butter. overall, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible either. decent indian style food & service seemed timely for delivery. i doubt i'd crave this place, but it was worth having on a simple night to stay in for movies.

Yelp
This is our fav Indian take-out spot. We order from them weekly. Consistently great! Chicken Tikka has amazing flavor and nice vegetables included

Shilpa T.

Yelp
Giving 3 stars for North Indian. Not good experience, we came to eat South Indian and we were told they can make only 2 dosa as they don't have batter. So we ordered idli sambhar, coconut chutney was spoiled and sambhar was not even near to sambhar. Ended ordering North Indian saag panner, and makhani with garlic naan and butter roti, which was good. Moral come here if you want quick northindian meal. No no place for South Indian food. It's self service place with average ambiance.

Yelp
Tiffins cafe had me rethinking my entire diet. the food here is soo clean yet full of flavor. I've been eating last Tiffins every day for the past week and have lost 8 LBS! This place really knows how to portion their dishes in a way were you leave feeling satisfied‍
google avatar

Puneet P.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and coconut chutney was too much salty and vada was dense instead of crispy. Masala Dosa was better compared to idli and vada.

Abhishek M.

Yelp
If you are near Boulder and you just feel hungry and you want samosas , India's best dish , YOU HAVE TO GO TO Tiffin's !!!!!!!!!! TIFFINS has the best samosas around THE WHOLE AREA !!!!!!!!!!! Its the best place for chai(Tea) and I love the way they make the samosas ,they are THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Ayaan & Malviya Family

Yelp
Came in last week for some korma. It was amazing. Ordered the chicken korma extra hot and garlic naan. I think it was the best Indian food I've ever had. The korma was thick and creamy with a lot of flavor. The naan was moist and emanating delicious garlicy fumes. Just really good. Service was great and fast. Place was very clean. Great experience and highly recommend.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed the food here in the past. And I'm sure it's still good. We were able to order when they were closed last week for some reason and got an email confirmation of our order but when we went to pick it up they were closed. I emailed Tiffins immediately about what happened and called and talked to someone who said I would be refunded for the charge and a dinner we never got. I am still waiting for the refund or an explanation of why it has not yet happened.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here because it was in the parking lot by the hotel and we stayed because of the smells! When we walked in, it smelled delicious. We ordered the potato dosa, briyani, and chicken masala. The servings were huge! The food was great! My entire family was impressed and want to come back.

Cheryl H.

Yelp
If you like authentic Indian dosas, this is your place. Not many Indian restaurants make dosas and Tiffins make excellent ones. I have been here multiple times just to order the dosas. And I have turned several friends onto this yummy vegetarian Indian restaurant! You won't be disappointed! The cheese dosa was and is my all time favorite! Treat yourself! Mmmmmm good!
google avatar

crystal t.

Yelp
One of the worst Indian restaurants I've been to in Boulder! The best part of the restaurant was how it smelled... Food was extremely subpar and not worth the price

Rehana A.

Yelp
Definitely try the vindaloo! Only got take out but my order was correct, timely, and fantastic! Appreciate how traditional is and the service was more than pleasant. Highly recommend
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
A busy, decent place to pick up Indian food. Samosas are very good - spicy, crispy, not too oily. The curries are very heavy in ghee and a little bit overly sweet. The masala mostly tastes like sugary tomato sauce, and the chicken tikka is a little bit tough and doesn't have much yogurt to it. The saag was good, a little heavy on the onions but overall the flavors were right on. The naan are a little bit firm and more like a flatbread. Overall good food for ok prices.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
Excellent Indian restaurant with many vegan and vegetarian options. The prices are very reasonable as well. Since I love love curry, I had the vegan curry lunch that had 2 different types of curries and rice, for just $10. Food service was very quick. It's located in a strip mall, nothing fancy but they have several tables and it was clean. You order at the cash register and they bring the food to your Worth a visit.

Gianna T.

Yelp
Tiffins is always a go to spot when family and friends are in town! Never disappointed! They even refilled my chai for free once my takeout order was ready :)
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
This cafe is interesting, its setup reminds me of Indian buffets yet cleaner; the counter with scoopable food choices is very similar to that of Biju's, but the food is more traditional than the street-style offerings at Biju's. However, compared to the more ubiquitous Little India, Tiffins offers more specialties such as the Dosa, which I've never had in my life and was so impressed by it that I got a to-go order to take home after dining for a full meal here. I also remember enjoying the Masala!

Marilyn W.

Yelp
Excellent! Delicious! Tasty! Very busy and popular. Go early or order take out. Many vegan options.
google avatar

Jackie R.

Yelp
We wanted something quick, cheap, and flavorful after a short but cold hike nearby. Our first time in Boulder, we weren't sure what to expect when we found this little gem of a cafe in a shopping plaza(? Center?). We entered into an empty ish cafe after 12 and the smell is overwhelmingly tasty already. My husband got the two entree lunch special (Tika masala and chicken curry) with naan and I just got the chicken vindaloo (hot!). They weren't joking when it was spicy but that spicey was so legit and awesome. We both enjoyed our dishes and loved the personal platter tray. You order up front and the servicing is they bring the food out to you. If ever in need of something quick, cheap, and flavorful, this is the place.
google avatar

Malavika S.

Yelp
On my visit to Boulder in winter, I was craving for hot and spicy Indian food and upon recommendation from a friend, I decided to try out this place. I ordered Vegetable Biryani and Carrot halwa; Biryani was delicious, spicy and the quantity was enough for three people!! However, the carrot halwa was very disappointing! It had the consistency of Kheer and was nothing close to a halwa. But since Biryani was amazing, I'll probably try out this place for more main courses next time.

Yelp
Terrible experience. Awful service, confusing ordering system. They themselves don't seem to understand how South Indian idli, chutney, and sambar is cooked, nor served. They wanted me to order two different dishes to get idli, chutney, and sambar. If I wanted with Vada, it was four dishes. They have option of chutney or sambar and idli or vada. Nice way to rip people off, who aren't in the know! The idli and vada was hard as a rock. I still have them sitting on my kitchen counter the next day. Gonna have to give it to the dog. Tiffin is indeed South Indian term, and idli, Vada, chutney and sambar is 100% a South Indian dish. I would know, as I was born in south India. The people running and cooking here seem to be from the country of Nepal. They are okay for Dal Makhni. The roti looked burnt, rice portion is much smaller than the entree when ordering the dinner portion. Roti was extra, that too is garbage. I get the prices were very reasonable if you bought their lunch buffet option, that's served. You get to try three different dishes with rice for $10. This is also the only thing the cashier there seems to know how to sell. Not sure why they chose this menu, nor this name. They know nothing about "Tiffin."

Al S.

Yelp
If you're looking for a better steak in an arcade setting, you're shit out of luck. This place rules.
google avatar

Stephen P.

Yelp
Indian restaurants at lunch are typically buffets, which for me means I eat too much and feel sluggish all afternoon. Tiffins protects me from myself, offering all the typical stuff in a sort of fast-casual format. After first looking at the extensive menu, I'm still a bit confused about the interplay of that compared with the limited (~8) choices out in the steamers. Is everything on the menu available, but what's out is served faster? Does the lunch special only apply to what's out? It looks like when they opened they were vegetarian; there are still many veg choices but also some meat now.

Yelp
Hmmm, this time around is a mixed feeling review... First and foremost, I call them in advance saying that I want to bring like 10 guests or so. I know its a tiny establishment that can at least accommodate more than 15 people at one seating. Anyways, way before Sunday August 17th 2014, I call them again saying I am coming that afternoon. When I arrived, none of the seating are set up. Hence I inform Tiffins Staff, that I have 7 guests to arrive for our 12 NOON Lunch. This event was on Sunday August 17th 2014. The way they arrange the tables though I feel a little cramped for my friends was in a "Diagonal Manner" aka AWKWARD!... Hmm... *BIG SIGH* The service was OK, though it does takes awhile for the food to come out. YES, you order at the Counter and the staffs will send your order to where you are seating. By the time everyone at our Party arrives, many more other Patrons came in and out either for Lunch Dining or TO GO Order. Okies, now with the food.. Over all, from my friends Feedbacks. Some like it, some don't. Particularly for those who order the Lunch Deal For the Day, its more underwhelming.. aka Lunch Specials of the Day. Once again, I order the Masala Dosa ($8.95) with tax is ($9.71). Had my lunch there and TO GO Order aka Lamb Biryani ($12.95) with tax ($14.05) for Hubs. Ask for Extra Spicy for both dishes. YES, they deliver in terms of Spice level.. but I am indeed torn coz, to recommend this establishment to my friends. To some who live all the way in Parker, Colorado, was a little underwhelmed... Even I see unfinished food of what my friends ordered especially for the "Set Menu". Could they have ordered the wrong things that afternoon. I wonder and ponder.. *DOUBLE BIG SIGH* Maybe it was an OFF Day for Tiffins that Sunday afternoon. Above anything else, I will support Local Business of Mom and Pop establishment and since this establishment offer Dosa, and even Biryani OR Vindaloo, I don't mind returning. As for the TO GO order it comes with "watered" down Raita... doable. Hence in conclusion, personally I WOULD Order OFF from their Menu. Not much on the Thali Menu or "set menu" since I prefer variety. As for the Cost of the Food, its Doable though definitely there can be improvement in terms of the dishes they offer. Please have more Variety and "expand" the Dosa Menu that would intrigued other Patrons appetite to explore on what Tiffins has to offer. Above anything else, I wish them ALL The Success in their Business and Future Undertakings and many more years to come especially in Boulder, Colorado! @165/2014

Yelp
The food was super tasty before, unfortunately.. it has changed.. Not the best anymore. The chicken masala and paneer masala's taste has drastically decreased. I also wish that the lady in the front was nicer and inviting but we definitely missed the past owners. Thanks!
