Tihany Yacht Club

I'm dropping my recommendation here to inform the hotel management about a few improvements. First, you really need to fix the lagger/stairs between ground and the first floor. It sounds too loud. Second, could you add a cheap kettle and glasses to a room? We had to disturb the personnel of bistro for a glass of hot water 5-6 times per day.

We stayed at Tihany Yacht Club two nights in June. The staff was nice, parking was easy. Our room was very clean, facing Lake Balaton. |Breakfast was OK but be prepared if you to go after 9:30, there is hardly anything left...

Total: 5 Star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay in the Hotel, nice room with big shelves for clothing and luggage. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a good walk along the lake, nice view. We would like to return to the same property for the next visit in Tihany. Very safe also. 1 star minus for location, if you do not drive a car, bus 7355 is the one for the public transportation. Dinner are fantastic and tasty in the Fuge restaurant with several courses. Thanks again for Szonja's help during our stay. :-)

We had spacious rooms and the beds were comfortable. The only annoyance was a leaking shower hose. The breakfast was excellent. This hotel is tucked away behind a bigger hotel and the closest store is about 10km away.

The room was lovely, nice, big and clean. The food was good but a limited choice. Private secured parking, superb WiFi and an absolutely fantastic location with friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful by day, listening to the waves roll onto the rocks and atmospheric at night with the lighting around the area. Lovely big area for the dog too!

On a mission to find the best pork in Hungary- the Mangalista, we chose the club's restaurant. The entrance is almost hidden, a Speakeasy door that doesn't say much- unless you know where you want to go. Inside, the restaurant is on Lake Balaton in a beautiful garden. Our dishes were delicious, plated neatly, and abundant. Expect to pay about 30 euros per person, moderate prices for above average dishes and regional wines, and beer.

It was my first time at Yacht Club. Club is located on the coast. It has private marina, pier, and access to private beach. It is far away from the Tihany noise. Very quite and calm place. If you need to rest from the noise of the big city then that is the place. The area of the club is clean, but honestly could be better. Buildings from the outside looks very old, however they are quite good inside. I have picked renovated room for two. Unfortunately traces of use were clearly visible (dirty walls). Rooms were also not super clean. The main area was good, but there were spiders and nets in the corners, and on the balcony. Bathroom was clean though. When it comes to the food, breakfasts were always the same. There were few things to choose from, could be done better. Dinners though were very good. Everyday there were few different meals and a buffet. I have read plenty of bad opinions about dinners here, which are not true. It was also possible to pick something from the menu for lunch. Employees were very nice and helpful. More of them could know English though. To summarize, nice place to stay, but few things to improve.

This hotel has probably the best location: quiet, lush green garden with large trees and own access to a marina and private beach. The food is very healthy and they have good selection, btw. They have a "Michelin recommended" badge. The rooms were almost new, very spacious and well designed in maritime style. This could be a very good 4 star hotel.
