The LA (Quarantine) TV & Takeout Guide - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"“Based on a book of short stories by Simon Rich, this is one of the weirdest, most absurd, randomly heartwarming shows to ever grace FXX. I mean, the very first episode opens with a date between the main character and a literal wart-covered troll - which does hit a little too close to home, re: my own dating life (although usually, I am not the main character). But that scene - and plenty more like it - totally encapsulate what it’s like to be a twentysomething in a major city. And although you can no longer cram yourself into Tilda’s tiny, glass-encased hallway (no small part of the experience), whenever I want to feel like the young, naive, and very broke (a.k.a., like a twentysomething in a major city) I head to this natural wine shop in Echo Park. It’s tres chic - maybe you’ve seen their “Call for a good time” pick-up window? - and has all of the skin-contact bottles, specialty grocery items, and, most importantly, delicious, oily tins of canned sardines one could ever want in quarantine. Pick-up in-store, or find them on the delivery platforms.” -KH" - brant cox, kat hong, brett keating, james montgomery

Where To Order Wine Delivery In Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Another spot that opened just before quarantine and had to quickly adapt, Tilda is a great local wine bar in Echo Park. All their wines are natural and come from California (including a few from LA), so you’re doubly supporting local businesses. Lots of tinned fish and other snacks are also available. App delivery or pick-up offered through their website." - brett keating

The Best Bars In Echo Park - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Tilda is a great place to hang out after putting your name in at Donna’s. Cozy and compact, this wine bar/bottle shop makes the most of its tight quarters, featuring a long list of natural wines, as well as shareable snacky things, like cheese boards, plates of charcuterie, and a fully loaded tinned fish platter. The latter is by far the best dish, but keep in mind the night is just beginning. Anchovy breath is forever (or at least until you brush your teeth)." - brant cox

The 14 Best Places to Order Refreshing Cocktails and Drinks in LA | Eater

"Echo Park’s wine bistro Tilda serves up satisfying Spanish-style tapas (try the octopus, prepared in a paprika sauce, or the mussels in escabeche), but the selection of vino is one of the neighborhood’s best. Even better, that selection extends to vermouth; the Flora, with its rosé base, makes a great addition to a spritz or negroni, while the Massican white vermouth adds depth and flavor to that happy hour martini. Just add gin or vodka (not taking sides here)." - Vox Creative

Came here a few times during their 50% off but found the food overall to be quite average with no real standouts. I don’t think the bread and butter service is worth $39. The crab toast and potato scallops were good though.

Food was amazing, service friendly and attentive, seating comfy and very lovely and relaxed ambience. The bread service was just a roundish loaf of bread from AP Bakery with a little show, showing the staff member with a big tray of condiments like butter etc and assembling them onto a plate. It tasted good but I was expecting a little more.

Tilda’s food was next level. The lobster mafaldine and the ribeye were amazing. All dishes made a great impact and service was perfect. Nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Sydney.

An absolutely beautiful restaurant tucked away with delicious food and drinks. Atmosphere was great, whilst busy it didn’t feel loud. Highly recommend the oysters, steak, octopus and scallops. Bread and butter service was good as well, definitely something to experience!

Went here for the 46% promo. Found that the food was good value for the price however we most likely wouldn’t come back here if it was full price. The food itself missed the mark at times tasting unbalanced. The scallops had too much sauce masking the natural flavour and freshness. The proteins were cooked well however we found that the sauces paired weren’t great i.e the citrus brown butter that was recommended was way too rich for fish and tasted like a toasted cookie. The potato scallops were oily and we weren’t able to finish them. The apple crunch was a nice dessert but we did find the ginger mousse slightly overpowering. We also ordered the strawberry vodka gimlet which tasted unpleasantly medicinal. Although the dishes do have potential, there is still a bit to go in terms of balancing flavours. However, the service was very attentive and the overall vibe of the restaurant was nice for a date night.

Dinner out with my best friend on a Friday, and it was totally worth it. We had the snapper crudo, the crab toast, charred octopus which was so tender and the wagyu tartare. All the dishes were full of flavour. For mains we had a steak medium rare and a fish dish and the meat was so flaky and tender. A shout out to the potato scallops and bbq leeks, so good. The dessert trifle they brought out looked amazing, and tasted so fruity and creamy, and the bee sting cake was sweet melt in your mouth goodness. The wait staff were all friendly, the interior was very inviting and comfortable, we hope to be back.

Visited during the 23% discount promotion. Food was nice, but still on the pricy side even after the discount is applied. Duck special was a standout, very unique preparation and tasted fantastic. Potato scallops were also perfectly fried lightly for good crispy bites.

Warmly greeted on arrival, shown to our table, offered sparkling water and menus. Very friendly team member. Love the new venue located on the ground floor where the reception area used to be located before Sofitel refurbished. Great coffee. The food was delicious, well presented, and large portion sizes. Was also surprised with a little birthday treat with candle. Had a great time here.
