This is a shining beacon of Tilghman Island. Patricia and John have made this place a spot for locals to count on for delicious food, quick convenience and excellent suggestions for wine, beer and spirits. We have had their highly recommended Italian wrap, fried chicken sandwich, and oyster po-boy. All have been delicious! Watch out for daily specials because they are sure to be amazing. We were first told about the amazing chocolate chip cookies and they did not disappoint.

Absolutely the nicest people you'll ever meet. We came in and were immediately greeted, the owner was so warm and gracious chatted with us as if she knew us her whole life. So warm. I am so picky about my foods and I love a good macaroni salad. Well, I see her macaroni salad (made fresh) I can already tell I like it just from the appearance itself. So, we order the macaroni salad. This salad is to die for! Seriously! The best! Writing this I want some right now. I cannot gush enough about this lovely store. We definitely will return!!! It's the quaintest/charming store in Tilghman Island! Don't pass by this shop you will sure miss out on a delightful experience if you do.

Staying up the road, we happened upon this place while taking a stroll around the area. Aptly named country store, it has a little bit of everything - groceries, seafood, wine, beer, spirits, sandwiches, sweets, cocktails - just a blast to wander around. We ordered Crushes, one classic orange, one citrus mix, both were delicious. We drank them on the bench out front on the porch (see photo). If you come to Tilghman Island, do yourself a favor and stop in for something. The staff are fun, friendly and helpful. Update from the next day - after cycling around the island, wife and I ate lunch here. Delicious! I had the "fish wings" fried white fish with fries and a spicy old bay sauce. Wife got the crab imperial egg rolls, also obviously with the fries. Both were so good.

Google
Worth the drive. This should be your first stop on TI. Feels like home and your treated like family. Serves the small community and has so much stuff!! Open early (5am Mon-Sat) for the hardworking watermen and it’s a great laid back way to get your day started. Grab your scrapple wrap and chocolate chip cookies!

Google
Quaint locally-owned country store with good carry-out. Tasty specials, friendly staff, and gorgeous garden. They have grocery essentials, feminine products, some OTC medicines, beer/wine/liquor.

Google
A definite gem & oasis corner store with very friendly staff, good breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. Stocked pantry items for sale too. Looks like a good variety of beer wine and liquor as well.

Yelp
A great little spot on the island that has pretty much all that you can need for a getaway. A small but good selection of beer, spirits and wine on hand, along with a great menu of takeaway or packaged food offerings. The staff I met there were all very nice, courteous and helpful.

Yelp
Lovely, friendly place. Great oyster sandwich. Great crab cake sandwich. Bonus - they sell wine liquor and beer! Some pretty esoteric brands as well. Make your visit to Tilghman Island complete by stopping in to this wonderful place.

Yelp
A time-capsule of complete randomness! If you need some booze or 9 volt batteries, this little store has it all. Feels like stepping back in time! Friendly staff. Overall cleanliness: below average Prices: higher than retail but if you're staying on Tilghman Island, this is your only real option.

Yelp
Really adorable local store with delicious food! We stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint. Great prices, friendly service, and yummy breakfast. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend!

Yelp
Highly recommend! Interesting selection of spirits, and great food. Love going there when we stay over at Knapps Narrows

Yelp
Everyone that works here is so sweet and nice. The store is conveniently located in the heart of the town. Here is parking off to he side of the store. The store was incredible hours of operation even during the off season. This is the store in town if you forgot something. I needed a lemon, honey, sour cream, and beer. Yup, this store had them all. The beer selection here is incredible! They dark honey is very black and I was shocked they had it. I grabbed a jar and wow, it is very delicious. I had a fun time exploring to see what they had.while there is no fresh veggies, there is a veggie stand near the post office during season. I saw it, but since I was here during winter, they were closed. Ice cream, deli, and baked goods, and other things you need quick if you don't want to drive into the next town or 1 hour away to Easton. If you are in the area, you just need to come and check it out.

Yelp
Nice little convenience store with great selection of sandwiches and other food made fresh in the store, a remarkable beer and liquor collection and their own private label tequila which is a truly excellent blend!!

Yelp
Awesome sandwiches, baked goods and really helpful staff! Very nice little store with a nice community feel.

Yelp
Go here for the breakfast sandwiches, they are outstanding. Stay for everything else they have. This store has everything you would while on a trip. They have a nice menu for lunch and the fresh cookies are excellent. Ms. June is just an added extra and she is very welcoming and knows a lot about the island. Don't forget the breakfast sandwiches! Wanted to try the ice cream but didn't get a chance.

Yelp
Cute shop! Nice folks! We ordered breakfast and lunch there, it was very good, Kinda pricey, but so is everything on the island‍

Yelp
Bottom Line: A well-stocked country store with groceries, prepared foods, gifts, alcohol and the friendliest employee. My husband and I went to Tilghman Island Country Store just because. We were greeted by the friendliest employee who told us where to find the secret ice cream. She also went over the local lunch options with us. We meandered around this charming store before settling on a neat Christmas ornament made of recycled glass, a crab birthday card and some Tastycakes. It was mid morning when we visited and I definitely regret we didn't return after lunch for the secret ice cream.

Yelp
Great store and staff! Bought a bundled hat deal from them for 24 bucks and the shirt is fine but the hat is not and didn't fit. Tried to return it the next day and I got a big no after shopping their all week not impressed. My fault I should have taken the rubber band off the rolled up shirt and hat and tried it on first. I think I'll just haul in groceries on our next visit and call it day.

Yelp
This little store has been here 100 years and still going strong. It's got everything you need that you forgot and then some. Sandwiches, breakfast and lunch. Cold cuts, home made lasagna, Scottish ice cream and even some booze! Go check it out!

Yelp
Loved Tilighman island, beautiful place!!! The country store is just that , a place to go and get whatever you need. We grabbed lunch... soft shell crab sandwich's, sautéed not fried with a nice bun and old fashioned Krinkle fries. We sat out front at a picnic table and chatted with people popping in and out! So fun! Shannon was delightful and full of good info. We bought muffins , blueberry and chocolate choc chip, very special , great texture, top notch from a bakery. They were a delicious reminder as we munched on them in our way back to NJ. What a gorgeous place Tilighman Island is!!

Yelp
Amazing breakfast sandwiches, the nice older lady that runs the show is so friendly and is exactly the kind of person you want to see running a small town country store. The breakfast sandwiches were better than the breakfast offered at our hotel...

Yelp
TICS is your one stop shop if you're spending time on the island. From groceries to prepared foods to booze, we basically were able to find everything we needed here. I made a huge tactical error in not trying there secret ice cream, but can report they have great breakfast and lunch sandwiches and a pretty solid local beer selection all the way in the back! Also, make sure you buy some Rise coffee if you're place has a coffee maker situation; it's some of the better coffee I've had in a while!

Yelp
It was a journey to get out to this small store out on the Eastern shore but holy cow was it worth it. We specially came for the "secret ice cream." After asking about where we could find said ice cream, we were directed to the back of the store where there sat a large industrial sized freezer with a whole host of magical little pints filled with unique and delicious flavors. We ended up with something amazing with chocolate chunks and finished the whole pint in the car on the way home.

Yelp
Quintessential corner store! Talk about the perfect blend of old meets new and the food is delicious and often locally produced. From hand dipped ice cream to homemade crabcakes sandwiches if you need it want it or have to have it.. they've most likely got it! Check out their Friday 5:00 wine tasting and during warm months enjoy their amazing gardens

Yelp
As an outsider walking into this quaint little country store, I was immediately greeted with the most AMAZING woman...me and my hub both said after our visit- we have NEVER been greeted as warmly. She was quite knowledgeable with her wine selection- actually KNEW what she was talking about... The baked desserts (done by her) looked FABULOUS, there was also all kinds of beautiful cakes I choose the apple caramel pecan muffin. It was to die for. They also have a deli, foods used are locally sourced. and of course grocery selection. I will definitely return! Thank you for making our visit more FUN!

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place! The TICS has everything you might need in a pinch, as well as a great selection of deli choices, outstanding sandwiches and platters, and so much more. Patricia's homemade cookies are our of this world, and if you are really hungry my favorite is the Tilghman Panini! Stop in for a bottle of wine, a snack, lunch, dinner or whatever - John and Patricia likely have it! Great place, happy to have them on the island!

Yelp
TICS is one of Tilghman's gems and a MUST stop. It is a great country store with all the products you need for a solid weekend: the booze, the snacks, the freshly prepared entrees/sandwiches; and most importantly, the locals! John & Patricia have made this store the center of town and what we should consider a true commercial anchor for all other thriving businesses on Tilghman. They are smart about business and even more compassionate about the community. In large part, this little store and the people who work here inspired us to buy a weekend place on North Tilghman and the rest is history!

Yelp
June is the sweetest lady! Her coffee is great and the food is also very fresh and wholesome. Its a little store that we don't see much of anymore. June makes it a very pleasant/relaxing and friendly shopping experience.

Yelp
A great little store! I was looking for a small cooler, for my beer and water, they did not have any and the clerk ( I did not get her name) went outside to the (what I think was the) fish cleaning area and found a Styrofoam cooler , just what I needed. $2.00 for ice no charge for the cooler and I am on my way.

Yelp
They were so nice here! Loved the random stuff in the store and the ice cream! Really liked the free maps of the area, which helped us plan our trip. Thanks for being there!

Yelp
We could not live without TI Country Store. The owners are wonderful and the store has everything you could need. We work from home often and are not ashamed to say that on busy days, we often get breakfast, then lunch and snacks from them. Also, I'm not usually a fan of sweets or deserts, but I have yet to find a homemade country store treat that I didn't like. Wine tastings are always a good time too. Don't pass on this Tilghman Island gem!

Yelp
The owners here were very nice and very helpful when we visited. I am giving this place five stars given the friendly ambiance. We had the shrimp basket and crab cake which were both okay. The shrimp was the better part of the meal. Lightly breaded and very meaty. I was a little disappointed however with the crab cake. That being said, I would still come back given the nice owners!

Yelp
A great place with all the essentials and lots of treats!! They make excellent sandwich's, fried chicken and yummy desserts and candies. They change them up regularly. I've had chocolate covered figs, delicious muffins and freshly made cakes. They also carry loads of Scottish Highland Ice Cream in the freezer out back. Local providers supply them with homemade jams, jellies and relishes. Surprisingly good selection of wines, beer and liquor. You will pay more for the convenience of not having to drive back and forth to St. Michaels 22 minutes roundtrip) but it is well worth it! Especially that time I ran out of tonic water!!
google avatar

Yelp
So cute! They have everything you could need if you're staying in the area, plus the BEST selection of wine and wine tastings on weekends. They also have delicious fresh baked goods displayed at the checkout area like cupcakes, giant cookies, etc. We stopped in for some wine and cheese and crackers and it was the perfect stop.

Calvin B.

Yelp
I was in town a few weeks ago and stopped in this country store to see what they had at first the lady spoke and greeted us upon entering we began to look around it was quite pricey i guess you pay for convenience but wow!! I went to approach the wine section but couldnt get through because they was a group of ladies literally in a gossip circle speaking poorly about a few individuals im assuming to be locals i was a little blown away by this i mean a first impression is everything as i continued to look the lady at the register did ask us where we were from and proceeded to let us know that the owner was right over in that circle amazing very unprofessional on their part i didnt like the vibes from that place we wont be back

Yelp
"If we don't have it, you don't need it" was told to us by one of the store employees and he was right! Yep, we definitely need luscious mini-cupcakes, hearty homemade take away dinners, and locally made Scottish Highland Creamery ice cream... we love the atmosphere and the staff is always welcome and helpful. Great spot if you are staying on Tilghman for the day, the week, or the season.

Yelp
Great place for homemade takeout! The owners, witty & friendly, will make your visit to Tilghman's even richer with tales of local lore & hot spots to visit. Be sure to try Kathy's bean salad & the yummy crab cakes. You can't miss this place!

Stephanie F.

Yelp
Everyone here is always so friendly every time we visit. They make great food and they always have the amazing ice cream in stock too!

Yelp
We were on Tilghman by boat the heat wave after 4th of July and needed some supplies, water(lots), food, ect. This was basically the only game in town so we went over. They have a good selection and some neat local things and knicknacks. We waited a little extra for the grill to open because it was early Sunday and totally worth it! Had breakfast burritos, delicious, and the owners were super nice, can't stress it enough. She said they had a bunch of fresh veg and really hooked the food up. We had so much stuff and it was such a long walk back to the marina they even offered to drive us back over. Great people, great place, this is how all stores should operate, if you are on Tilghman stop in!

Linda E.

Yelp
We wandered into this quaint country store and strolled around, exploring the neighborhood we would be hanging around for the week. As we left, my husband overheard a description of the seafood chowder. He commented on how good it sounded. Shrimp, clams, crab. We drove down the road to explore the island some more, and ended up on a dock where there were some folks crabbing. After striking up a conversation, we found out they were some of the owners. Monique makes the chowder only on weekends and sells it until it runs out. So of course, we walked down the road, salivating, to buy our lunch. The seafood chowder was the best we have ever had. Bar none. Monday we walked in there again and bought the remaining chowder to share with our house guests. The chowder is creamy, no fillers or thickeners, loaded with shrimp (perfectly tender) and crab. The potatoes were diced and in perfect balance with the seafood. In other words, there was way more seafood. Haven't tried anything else there...yet...but we have the rest of the week in this charming little town. The staff is friendly and the muffins by the door look yummy.

Yelp
This place is awesome! The sandwiches are made to order, with quality meats. But the star of the show is the baked goods. You can't go wrong, with the cakes and pies. Best apple pie I've ever eaten.
