Chef Cameron Lee Dunlap Will Open a Restaurant Dedicated to Foraged and Wild Foods | Eater Portland

"While foraging spruce tips in the Tillamook State Forest in 2016 for his Origin Wild dinner series, Dunlap climbed a log that split beneath him and discovered it was squirming with worms and other life breaking down dead wood; that moment inspired him to recreate the cycle of life on a plate, for example with a chicory-root lavash rolled into a tube, stuffed with venison tartare and dusted with spruce powder and pickled elderberries served at his pop-up." - Alex Frane

Most amazing place. Such a hidden gem. I will be going back for a hike and birding when I have some better weather. The discovery center was wonderful spent several hours touring just a small part of this place.

We love camping here! The dispersed campsites are free and nice! Leave it nicer than you found it so we can all continue to enjoy it!

Its pretty nice, but even in summer its to cold to swim better just to fish or dunk your head.

Very clean port o potties! One of us really needed it due to the greasy food at Mos!
