D.C.-Based Timber Pizza Co. Sets Up Shop in Charleston | Eater Carolinas

"D.C.-based and critically acclaimed, this pizzeria has opened its seventh shop at 741 Meeting Street, bringing crispy, "Neapolitan-ish" 12-inch pies with a rotating lineup of 11 white, red, and green varieties. Specialty pizzas lean creative—think Carolina barbecue sauce, strawberries, Peruvian sweet peppers, braised pork, and micro cilantro—and every pie can be made gluten-free. The menu also includes empanadas and salads, notably the Snoopy with mixed greens, cucumber, roasted corn, candied peanuts, cilantro, chives, and a charred scallion dressing. Charleston’s kitchen is led by chef Jeremy Waybright (formerly of Tempest), while co-founders Chris Brady and Andrew Dana trace the brand back to a 2014 farmers market stand and a first brick-and-mortar opened in 2016 with chef Daniela Moreira. Hours are Monday–Thursday 4 p.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Sunday 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m." - Erin Perkins

How D.C.’s Z&Z Palestinian Za’atar Purveyor Expanded Into Whole Foods and Lauded Restaurants | Eater DC

"I’ve seen Timber Pizza Co. put Z&Z za’atar to good use: a white pie topped with mozzarella, provolone, red and green peppers, jalapeños, scallions and the Dubbanehs’ blend (the D&D pie) proved popular enough to remain on the menu for years after the collaboration began when Timber and Z&Z met as neighbors at the farmers market." - Charlotte Goddu

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Timber Pizza in Charleston is an absolute must-try! 🍕🔥 As someone who eats gluten-free, I was blown away by how amazing their gluten-free pizza is. It’s wood-fired, flavorful, and perfectly crisp — nothing like those typical frozen rice crusts you get elsewhere. Even better, the regular and gluten-free pizzas look nearly identical, which says everything about how much care they put into quality and presentation. 🙌 They also offer huge, fresh salads, a full bar, and tons of other tasty options. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively — perfect for date night or catching up with friends. Charleston has so many great spots, but this one truly stands out! Follow me on Instagram @holycityfitblonde for more great reviews on restaurants, hotels, boutiques, and much more! 💕✨

Hands down the best pizza I've had in Charleston including the pizza food trucks. Tried The Bentley, The Bambino, The Penelope, and The Shirley. All were fantastic but the Shirley was my favorite. Also highly recommend the seasonal ice cream & cone platter with the homemade cones. We sat at the bar and our server (Jake) was fantastic. Prices are very reasonable.Looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu. Highly recommend!

This place is an absolute gem! The staff couldn’t be friendlier; they clearly care about making sure every guest feels welcome. The pizza? Next-level. So fresh and so good! Food came out so fast as well! Drinks are also great—the cocktail menu is fresh and fun, and the craft beer selection pairs perfectly. Easily the best new pizza spot in town—I will be back soon!

Tried Timber Pizza in Charleston and loved it. The outdoor seating area is such a nice touch and perfect for enjoying the weather. The brick oven–fired pizza had amazing flavor, and the red sauce had that fresh, homemade taste I really enjoyed. The staff was super friendly and helpful when ordering, which made the experience even better. As a local realtor, I’m always checking out great local spots to share with clients, and Timber Pizza is definitely one I’ll be recommending!

My fiancé and I ordered The Norman. It was delicious! They have unique flavor pairings that pair wonderfully so you’re not stuck eating the same flavors you get anywhere/everywhere else. We will definitely be back to try the other pizzas!

The food was absolutely incredible. The pizzas are unique enough that this is not "just another pizza place". The environment is inviting while creating an intimate atmosphere great for date nights, or an evening out to watch a game with friends. We specifically went to watch football at the bar. Nick was our bartender, and he was great. He made incredible drinks and was attentive the entire evening. The bar was packed but he made sure we were never empty for long! Cute, fun spot that we will be definitely going back to!

Business lunching at Timber Pizza Co was lovely! It’s a beautiful space to grab a bite on Meeting Street. If you haven’t gone to check it out, go say hi to Jeremy, get The Lucy pizza (it’s a white pizza with sweet potatoes on it, justtt trust me…it is scrumdiddlyuptous). Oh, and get yourself a Prickly Pear Fresca in one of their perfectly “on brand” coffee mugs. Thank you to the friendly staff for a wonderful experience. I look forward to visiting again soon!

What an absolute Gem this place is! The best pizza in Charleston and quite possibly the whole state of SC! We discovered this place after watching a story on instagram. The manager and bar staff are super friendly and polite, greeting everyone with a cheery hello and sometimes engaging in great conversation is a constant. I also have a certified service dog and was impressed with the managements understanding and knowledge on what questions to ask legality wise and how friendly they were about that. PS; The music choice is always great, imagine seventies, eighties vibes.
