Fun, lively spot with lots of good options under one roof. Perfect for a casual meal and trying a few different things in one place. De Vijf Burger If you’re in the mood for a proper burger, this is a great choice and the fries were great too. Easy, comforting food that works really well in the busy market setting. Would happily order this again. How Bao Now The bao buns were super soft and fluffy, and the fillings were full of flavour without being heavy. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. Great for sharing, but honestly, you could just eat here and be very happy. Definitely a standout and worth seeking out.

Time Out Market at V&A Waterfront is a foodie's paradise with diverse cuisines including Asian street food. The sitting areas fill up fast during peak hours so grab a spot quick or wait. The staff clear tables promptly. A buzzer system alerts you when your order's ready. Quite convenient. They do not accept cash payments but they provide a prepaid card right within the premises. Highlights: Wagyu sando and tonkatsu beef from How Bao Now. The food is worth it but drinks are a bit pricey.

Such a cute place with so much variety of food. We had a week and a half in Cape Town and I think I went to the stall that has the salmon and mash potatoes 4 different days on my trip here 😂🙏🏼 it was too good!!! My husband and I came to Cape Town to get married and have our honeymoon from the US . We loved this place! They have something for everyone.

I recently visited Time Out Market Cape Town at the waterfront, and what an experience it was! From the outside, the wooden building already caught my attention, but stepping inside was a real surprise — the place is vibrant, lively, and filled with so many tempting food options that it’s hard to choose. Since I wanted to try seafood, I went with the grilled salmon in garlic sauce from The Siba Deli. The portion was just right for one person, served with fresh vegetables and mustard mashed potatoes. It was actually my first time trying mustard mash — a unique twist compared to the usual creamy version that typically comes with salmon or steak. The flavor was different, but pleasantly so, and it paired well with the dish. The salmon itself was cooked beautifully and very flavorful. Overall, it was a delicious meal in a great atmosphere. 💰 I paid 320 ZAR for the salmon with a Coke — and I’d say it was well worth it!

Great vibes, you can find any time of meal that suits everyone. There was a live band playing upstairs when we were there. My companions chose pasta, slow cooked ribs with mash and I chose Cape Malay curry. All delicious.

We had a great time at Timeout Market. I had my first taste of Korean food. I had Ramen noodles, the name of the dish is called classic tonkotsu, it was a wholesome dish, I really enjoyed it.

Time Out Market – touristy but worth a visit Yes, Time Out Market is definitely a tourist hotspot where people from all over come together. Still, you can meet a variety of people from different countries and have some nice conversations, especially if you’re traveling alone. The guy at the wine bar really knows how to sell and gives great advice. The oyster bar is also a good spot, with chill music playing in the background. It does feel a bit impersonal, like a modern food court, but for a quick bite or a glass of wine it’s a great place. Maybe a little too touristy for some, but for me it worked really well.

A must do while in Cape Town! A bunch of top notch popups serving food and drink. We tried the Taqueria and Indian joint, washed it down with local wines
