Fun, lively spot with lots of good options under one roof. Perfect for a casual meal and trying a few different things in one place. De Vijf Burger If you’re in the mood for a proper burger, this is a great choice and the fries were great too. Easy, comforting food that works really well in the busy market setting. Would happily order this again. How Bao Now The bao buns were super soft and fluffy, and the fillings were full of flavour without being heavy. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. Great for sharing, but honestly, you could just eat here and be very happy. Definitely a standout and worth seeking out.

Went to Sushiya. Sashimi was good but the ceviche was terrible. Not even made with lemon or lime and so little actual ceviche. The nori seaweed was dipped in batter and drenched in oil. Best avoid. Since then I have been to the Cape Town Fish Market across the bridge by the red clock tower and the sushi there is amazing and the same price.

Time Out Market at V&A Waterfront is a foodie's paradise with diverse cuisines including Asian street food. The sitting areas fill up fast during peak hours so grab a spot quick or wait. The staff clear tables promptly. A buzzer system alerts you when your order's ready. Quite convenient. They do not accept cash payments but they provide a prepaid card right within the premises. Highlights: Wagyu sando and tonkatsu beef from How Bao Now. The food is worth it but drinks are a bit pricey.

I recently visited Time Out Market Cape Town at the waterfront, and what an experience it was! From the outside, the wooden building already caught my attention, but stepping inside was a real surprise — the place is vibrant, lively, and filled with so many tempting food options that it’s hard to choose. Since I wanted to try seafood, I went with the grilled salmon in garlic sauce from The Siba Deli. The portion was just right for one person, served with fresh vegetables and mustard mashed potatoes. It was actually my first time trying mustard mash — a unique twist compared to the usual creamy version that typically comes with salmon or steak. The flavor was different, but pleasantly so, and it paired well with the dish. The salmon itself was cooked beautifully and very flavorful. Overall, it was a delicious meal in a great atmosphere. 💰 I paid 320 ZAR for the salmon with a Coke — and I’d say it was well worth it!

Such a cute place with so much variety of food. We had a week and a half in Cape Town and I think I went to the stall that has the salmon and mash potatoes 4 different days on my trip here 😂🙏🏼 it was too good!!! My husband and I came to Cape Town to get married and have our honeymoon from the US . We loved this place! They have something for everyone.

Time Out Market is a fantastic food stop with an incredible variety of street food options from around the world. There’s something for everyone, from local favorites to international flavors, all in one lively space. The atmosphere is great, and it’s the perfect place to sample different dishes in one visit. Highly recommend stopping by and trying the food!

Great place to try many of Cape Town’s delicious restaurants. I’ve been there several times, and although it can get quite crowded, the acoustics are good and it’s not too loud. There is an upstairs with a stage and sometimes they have live music. The food can be a bit slow to come out but everything I tried was delicious!

We had a great time at Timeout Market. I had my first taste of Korean food. I had Ramen noodles, the name of the dish is called classic tonkotsu, it was a wholesome dish, I really enjoyed it.
