The staff are friendly, and the food is excellent. Country family atmosphere. I’m a slim build trucker, and normally buy groceries and eat in my truck, but I know good food and folks when I find them. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area again. Highly recommend this place! Plus there’s a Goodwill store across the street! 😁

I found myself in Almont Michigan at 7:30 on a Sunday night of course I was curious how far I was away from Maryland chicken GPS told me 13 minutes away. So I called the dynamic duo that was working on Sunday night August 25th to make sure they were still open till 8:00 p.m. and I pointed the car North and was able to get a wonderful two-piece dinner with two sides for under 11 bucks. Nice crunch Generous pieces Coleslaw and french fries are very very good

Small town restaurant, with small inside dining but the food was great and well-priced. We did eat inside, and they do have a take-out window. We had a popcorn shrimp dinner and a clam dinner. I did ask what type of fish they have and it's cod. That's what I will be having next time.

Foods good but the older lady with the brown hair is so rude I’ll never go back . Everyone else is great ! However I can’t take the risk of dealing with the old lady who is mad she has customers. Don’t go to work if you’re that old . I watched her make fun of an even older women for not understanding their rules , she complained about being busy and then skipped me in the line cause I had kids . She’s trash and I hope KFC puts this place under .

I got the 2 pc dark w/ sides. I wish my skin were this good so people would crave me like this chicken. Mac n Chz was so legit too. Make the drive it’s worth it.

Extremely good food! Wished we received more tartar sauce than what is provided. But I suppose I am willing to give extra $$ in order to have the additional tartar… it goes so well with fries and fish! And everything has been delicious each time we have ordered takeout!!! Appreciate the quality and the love that is put into making the meal!!

If your looking for no thrills to the point delicious southern style fried chicken this is it. The cobbler is to die for I usually order two larges for myself and I'm never happy I always want more... hands down home away from home right here..

Trimmer's offers tasty chicken, fish and shrimp. They have many sides to satisfy, including several potato options, stuffing and veggies. You can always count on quality meals here. I usually get my food at the drive through but you can eat in if you prefer.

Like I said before, the best chicken in Lapeer, Macomb, St.Clair and Oakland Counties.

Good old fashion fried Chicken. The fish is one of my favorites as well. All the sides are good. Just tried the vinegar pie which was very good.

I'm more use to the southern style chicken strips, I can't help but compare and the one's here are very subpar. The breading wasn't all that, steak fries were decent. The mac and cheese was terrible, macaroni was extra chewy, cheese not as creamy as I like. The kraft one in a box would've been a better choice. Nothing really stood out to me. Service was quick and friendly, thats about it.

Talk about essential services Maryland Fried Chicken drive through was just the cure for cabin fever during these challenging times. Food? Of course awesome Even the Coke tasted particularly good. During these times man cannot live by bread alone! Timmers Maryland Fried Chicken? Cluck yeah! Go! (To the drive through for now..)

We had to stop here after reading the good reviews. There is a lot to love. The fish is was freshly battered, hot, and excellent. Our tenders were good, though not piping hot. The buffalo hot sauce dipper was first rate. I wish they sold some celery and blue cheese for a excellent combo.!! The bbq sauce tasted like sweet baby rays. The ranch had an artificial butter taste I couldn't get past. We also tried some clams. Ok, but pretty generic and not as good as my favorites at White Castle. For sides, the cole slaw and mac&cheese were excellent. Highly recommend. Potato salad taters were slightly undercooked and sauce was too much on the watery side. Green beans seemed unseasoned. Sweet potato chips were surprising light and airy, and were tasty, too. The homemade break was amazingly good. We were all surprised. Ask for butter for it. There are picnic tables here. Drive through & eat! It was a lot of food and a good value.

By far one of the best restaurants you can go to in imlay city! They've been around forever and make everything fresh. Made quick and hot. Service is incredible, some of the nicest people you could ask for. They also have a drive through. 10/10 would recommend and will be back. The feel inside is very unique and gives off farmer vibes.

They food isn't the best, the prices are outrageous. Definitely will go elsewhere. Service is ok. It is nothing special.

Delicious, economical, a perfect meal on a busy weeknight or family weekend. You can smell the delish-ness all through town! The cobbler is a must have!

when I drive (and I drive a lot) I always look for little moms and pop type places for lunch. I drove past this place a few days ago and it looked like the kind of place to get an unexpectedly delicious lunch and support a local business. Sitting in the parking lot now, following having a chicken sandwich, I have to say this was the most pathetic and terrible place I have been for a quick lunch. the sandwich was comprised of two, flavorless tv dinnerish flat nuggets and a limp piece of iceberg lettuce. bun was huge with no condiments or pickle. there was some kind of weird "sauce" on the side with a texture of sour cream. although "homemade chips" were supposed to be included, they were absent. Although I avoid fast food corporate restaurants, McDonalds would have a Michelin star by comparison. this place feels like a front business for a meth lab. Stay away!

I wish Yelp had half star ratings, because I would love to give this place a 3.5-3.75 overs rating. Not gonna lie, it was good overall, but it felt like it could have been a little quicker. I didn't like that they didn't answer the phone either.

Our only complaint, is that we wish they were open later! We often stop here on our way up to Port Austin but can miss them if we don't head out until after work. We get either chicken tenders or drumsticks and have found both to be great! The skin is crisp and the chicken juicy. We also love the variety of sides offered. This is a great place to stop when the fried chicken cravings strike!

Wonderful food!! Their pickles and chicken are superb and just so tasty and crispy. Absolutely delicious. Might not look too beautiful on the outside but its whats on the inside that counts: tasty, delicious chicken.

Roadside fried foods and a drive through! This is the crispiest fried chicken ever! Now this is not for those on a plant based diet. Menu includes fried clams, chicken, fish, shrimp, fries, chips and a variety of sides! As a family of 6 our favorite part was being able to customize our family meal. We got 14 chicken strips then a variety of regular fried chicken. Instead of 2 Large sides we get 4 smaller sides (which by the way is still HUGE) and then everyone gets what they want. We chose baked beans, fries, potatoes salad, and mashed potatoes. All were very happy... Now here's the problem... this might be our favorite fried chicken ever! Alas Palms Crystal bar in Port Huron you has some competition!

I love to eat, and love to read reviews...but I rarely write one myself. We have been driving by for years on our way to Port Crescent State Park. This year the timing finally worked out for us to stop. We had the fired chicken and the fired dill pickles. Wow!! I have to say this is the best fired chicken I have had in years. I wish I would have stopped years ago.

This place is a revelation. This was a life altering experience. I've always been a sucker for fried chicken and THIS IS THE BEST IVE EVER HAD!!!! It's the first time I've ever had fried chicken that was so good that I didn't need to add bbq sauce. This is a small little place with drive through and to quote my son "a quiet peaceful" eating area. Very small. They have ribs and a full assortment of sides as well. Chicken in the rough has finally been dethroned. We will definitely go here whenever we come through town. You should too!!!!

This place has it all- yummy chicken, delicious sweet potato chips, delicious bread, and good French fries. If you're looking for healthy food - this isn't your place. If you're looking for delicious comfort food - this is it! Highly recommend their fried chicken- it's top notch!

A childhood (and still to this day) favorite. The staff is also so sweet and the food never disappoints. My favorite place to get fish and chips. Their mac and cheese is also a favorite. Definitely recommend the chicken tenders as well!

Found our way here after golfing in nearby Capac a month ago.. Wife and I were in the mood for something quick and decided to give this place a try . I had the chicken and she had the fish. We both agreed that the quality of the food was very good and the service that we received went above and beyond....Just a tiny dining area and it is self serve at the counter but if you are in the area and want some good food NOW then I would highly suggest you give this place a try.

I stopped for gas at this exit and checked Yelp for a place to grab a quick bite. All the choices were the usual fast food place except for this place so I gave it a shot. The chicken is really good and the sides really shine. There are a few tables. Sides include he expected choices like coleslaw, mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni and cheese, Stuffing, homemade chips. There are also seasonal veggie choices.

On the road to Canada and we are not ones to pass up an old-fashioned chicken shack. Timmers does NOT disappoint. We LOVE a good fried chicken and let's just say this place has the best fried chicken we have ever had. It's clean, fast, affordable. The breading is super crispy and well seasoned without being overly salty. The sides were all homemade - we tried the sweet potato chips, steak fries, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese and stuffing. Every one was delicious, fresh tasting and definitely homemade. This is so worth the stop if you're traveling on I-69.

Great fish and chips! Plus sides! And great chicken, just beware of the SIZE of the chicken pieces!! Sometimes they seem like they were taken from baby chickens.

I really liked this chicken place. The chicken tasted more like homemade fried chicken then the kind one gets at a fast-food joint. The white meat was surprisingly juicy. Loved the sweet potato chips. They tasted like they had just been made. The baked beans were tasty. I'd come back here again.

WOW! Was not expecting such fantastic food when we stopped here, and it totally surpassed every expectation I had! The fish was amazing! It had a great heavy batter to it. I would totally make the 45 minute drive here just for the fish. The chicken was moist and had a great crunchy coating on it. The hot dog was likes blanket dog (from a pow wow). My daughter loved it. Honestly not a bad thing to say about this place.

Group of 6 ate here for dinner. We all loved there side dishes, only problem is that there are to many good ones to chose from. The chicken is moist and delicious! The wife loves their stuffing with with gravy, the mashed potatoes, and their delicious macaroni and cheese! I really like the green beans and mash potatoes and gravy. Wife always gets the chicken tenders while I prefer the 3 piece chicken dinner. All meals come with a delicious side of homemade bread, it sure is yummy! We have been here numerous times and the staff is always very friendly. It's a little tiny place they seem to have tons of takeout orders and even a drive-up window. It's a nice change from the chain restaurants and fast food joints. It's good Hometown cooking. There were even a couple of picnic like tables outside. Nothing fancy, just delicious!

Hidden gem! Driven by 100 times and never realized what I was missing! Perfectly cooked fried chicken with all the sides! Atmosphere and roadside appearance could use some work!

Fried chicken is their signature dish, however, the Jumbo Shrimp is excellent and so is the Fish. They have fried sweet potatoes as a side and their "Chips" (different than "French Fries") are another side you will want to try as are the mac and cheese and the cobbler (if you want dessert as a side). Servings are generous so you won't be left hungry!

Our portions were huge, prices were amazingly cheap and everything was fresh! My sweet potato chips were my favorite part. They were definitely homemade. Next time I go, I will take advantage of the cute picnic table they have outside:)

First time stopping and it was excellent! My husband had the fish sandwich and I had the fried chicken. We will be back, I am hoping on our way back home from vacation in a couple of days! Fast and friendly service. Way better than McDonalds!

Drove 45 minutes to get here, after seeing the reviews. We were not disappointed. Their sides are great, the chicken is really good. My wife got the chicken sandwich, I decided on a BBQ sandwich. The fry on her sandwich was very flavorful, the BBQ was a pulled chicken BBQ sandwich. Their housemade chips are amazing. We will be back again for sure, there are more things to try. Absolutely wiorth the drive.

The fried chicken tastes salty. The chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese are delicious. I would recommend coming here just for the mac and cheese. Service is decent, too.

This place was great. Hometown location with a staff that welcomed locals and travelers alike. The chicken sandwich combo (drink and fried potato chips) was outstanding. So much better than fast food. This place is not fancy nor expensive. But it is definitely worth your while if traveling in the area. Next time I will order the fish (many called in carry out orders while I was in the restaurant).

Stopped here on a whim and glad I did- awesome fried chicken. The tenders are ok but the bone-in chicken is where it's at. I will be back

Great chicken, the mashed potatoes were just like homemade with lumps. I seriously loved that. Great place to eat. Way better than Kentucky Fried.

We love this place! The food is great and affordable. The staff is very friendly. Usually we do the drive-thru but, we have eaten in the small dining room too which is clean and serves it's purpose. Highly recommended.

Good thing KFC or Chicken Shack aren't around here because Maryland will kick its butt. Yummy hot crunchy crispy chicken with good sized pieces of chicken unlike the Shack. I had mashed with gravy and coleslaw as side with a mini loaf of good sweet moist cornbread. The coleslaw was nice and creamy and full of flavor. The gravy was good but tasted like the jarred stuff. Will certainly go back when I'm in the area.

Maryland fried chicken is the absolute best! The chicken is so moist and all of the sides are delicious especially the mashed potatoes and gravy! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the bread too! I'm so glad this place is here because its definitely way better then those other chicken places like KFC, Popeyes ect.
