Tinte Cellars Debuts Its New Tasting Room in Georgetown | Eater Seattle

"After months of planning, Tinte Cellars has opened its first Seattle tasting room at 5951 Airport Way South; the boutique winery — which garnered gold medals in the 2020 Seattle Wine Awards — joins Charles Smith Wines Jet City, Cascade Cliffs, and Cloudlift Cellars in the neighborhood. Occupying a restored 1912 building, the 1,600-square-foot space preserves the original storefront while the interior received a rustic overhaul, and Tinte even restored an original scooter perched on the roof with a revitalized paint job. Though indoor tasting rooms are closed until at least January 4 due to COVID restrictions, Tinte offers limited outdoor seating on a covered back patio with a fire pit, plus retail bottles and gift packages; the on-site food menu is mostly light snacks (cheese and charcuterie trays, chocolate bars, and a selection of nuts). The introductory wine lineup features Tinte Cellars’s 2018 Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier, a 2016 William Church Cabernet Franc, and a 2016 Cuillin Hills Cabernet Sauvignon, and the winery plans to host events and produce a catering kitchen once restrictions ease while keeping its Woodinville tasting rooms and production facilities in operation." - Gabe Guarente

Woodinville Winery Tinte Cellars Will Open in Georgetown This Fall | Eater Seattle

"Set to take over a former scooter shop at 5951 Airport Way South, Tinte Cellars plans a Georgetown tasting room and event space that will preserve the building’s historic storefront character and re-paint and reinstall the large rooftop scooter as a nod to the predecessor. Owners Teresa Spellman Gamble and Tim Gamble are aiming for a “refined elegance meets rustic” ambiance; beyond pouring Tinte’s varietals, the space will host events of up to 100 and includes an on-site catering kitchen, while Tinte’s existing tasting rooms and production facilities in Woodinville will remain in operation." - Tim Forster

Went to the Georgetown with close friends to celebrate a birthday. Design is urban eclectic & modern with a mural in the outdoor area & art pieces along the walls. The wine flight that we had was fantastic. Usually you get at least one bad one, but everything from the whites to the reds were solid offerings. The charcuterie was delicious & delightful. We ended up enjoying the experience so much that we spent a good 4-hours there with an additional couple bottle of wine. The staff was attentive & professional. We'll be visiting again soon. Midas 5-stars - for the bonuses from being a member.

We've been to the Georgetown tasting room a number of times. The wine is fantastic and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Google
Fantastic wines, friendly staff and wonderful environment. If you’re ever in Georgetown, be sure to stop by Tinte for a tasting. As a member, I enjoy the free tastings, flexibility of wine allotments, and of course the amazing wines.

Google
We like the wine, but are disappointed that they are not dog-friendly. The events offer music and cookies along with the wine. I am not a cookie fan and am not impressed..

My friend and I came here after exploring the Georgetown Flea this past weekend. The service started out great but after about an hour we never saw our server again. The flatbread was tasty and I enjoyed the red wine but I probably won’t be back until they get their white wines in. They let us know ahead of time they only carried red but it would have been nice to do the tasting experiencing both and it probably would have made up for the not so great service. Again, I would be willing to give them another try in the next few months when the weather is warmer.

Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend just passing by for a Flight.

Google
We had the takeout tasting flight last week. The wine was great, and the presentation was amazing. Plus the YouTube QR video links was a nice touch. We plan on tasting more wine at the actual Georgetown location soon, as it looked to be a real nice set up. I would recommend checking out their wines.

Yelp
Im a big fan of Tinte! They have a great tasting and a cute small menu, including a cookie pairing for your wine. There's fun events and live music here as well. A great first stop before dinner or a nice way to end the evening. The service is always friendly and quick too! My favorite is the "Irish Eyes" red wine. So good!

Yelp
Wonderful wines and excellent, friendly service in their Tasting rooms! If you're in Georgetown or Woodinville and you love wine, you really must stop in!

Yelp
We had such a great time here. We purchased tickets for the tasting with Lady Yum macrons and it was such a delight! This was in January of 2022. Service was fantastic, but it was very chilly inside.

Yelp
Sort of a small space down in Georgetown. It's very modern and opens up into an outdoor space in the back. We went on a s'mores night which was fun. I would say that earlier in the night, the place across the street played sine deafening music. But they shut the door later on, so we could hear again.

Yelp
It has been awhile since I was in Georgetown so I was pleasantly surprised to find a new winery opened! I sat outside near a fire pit and was even more surprised and pleased with how warm and fantastic it was. There was plenty of seating and we were promptly greeted. My friends and I had a great time here. They had one red wine tasting flight due to their white wines being largely sold out. They had a red wine blend that was amazing. The pours were generous with a great description. Loved the atmosphere. We came here on a Sunday and they were playing the Seahawks game which made me happy. I could become distracted when the Seahawks were playing poorly and focus when they were doing well! The employees here were super nice. It was a slow morning so we had ample opportunity to talk which was nice. We learned about the winery, their locations, and how they opened during the pandemic. I saw that they had a few sandwiches on their menu, but we stuck with the wine. Ended up buying a bottle of wine which discounted one of our wine tastings. It was great!

Yelp
Georgetown never disappoints! There are so many great options, and Tinte is my latest investment. I say investment because of my time, and I joined the wine club. Nice and comfortable interior, but the pro tip is to sit in the back. There is a fire pit as the nights start to chill slowly. Plenty of space for large parties is available to rent out for events. The wine selection was great, with approachable and reasonably priced bottles. I did a full tasting along with the veggie flatbread. The testing selections were good to great, with the highlights being the Irish Eyes and Viognier. The Irish Eyes has wonderful notes and a peppery finish from the Syrah grapes. Viognier was smooth and chewy, as good as some Sauternes I've had. I joined the four-bottle-wine club--one selection each quarter, at a 20% discount per bottle. My wine tasting was free, and the flatbread was 20% off. The flatbread was loaded with veggies and balsamic, but I found the bread a bit dry and cracker-like. It needs to rise and could use a bit of sauce or something else to wake it up. Otherwise, a very good experience, and I will be back at least quarterly to enjoy new wines and great service.

Yelp
I may be a bit bias when it comes to this spot (we went here the night of our engagement), but I really do enjoy it for a wine tasting room! It's in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Seattle, Georgetown, and very easy to get to for me living in South Seattle. We're members of this winery so each month we do get to enjoy a free tasting (we do purchase 4 bottles of wine every quarter as part of our membership). The staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and vineyards, they have fun events on the weekends, and the overall atmosphere is great inside, especially with their outdoor seating area and art hanging inside. Their newest Malbec is very delicious, and not too dry. If you're into a brighter drink for the summer, then I definitely recommend the Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. You can't go wrong with a tasting either!

Yelp
What a beautiful tasting room. Very elegant with a fabulous patio space. The staff is friendly and super accommodating. Two bathrooms and snacks and a mainly quiet space. Most of the time they've got the lowdown on the wine...but every now and again there's a newbie. Upon my last visit, I sat with a friend and enjoyed two bottles...then was told we could order food in...which was nice because we were enjoying catching up and getting tipsy and wanted to stay. Very strict COVID standards, including submitting a test before you enter the tasting room and sanitizer on every table.

Yelp
Seattle wine lovers dont miss out on Tinte in Georgetown! Great wines , every time I visit I have never been disappointed. The vibe is great! A great atmosphere in a busy neighborhood. Large welcoming space. The musicians performing makes the environment so cool. Art work rotates. They also have an outdoor area . Very clean during the pandemic, tables sprayed down, hand sanitizers abundant. They offer flat breads and charcuterie. The charcuterie had great choices. They have wines by the glass or bottles. The Viognier was our favorite. The red blend was a also another great choice . So if you are looking for great Washington wine and a chill cool vibe In Seattle, Tinte is the spot

Yelp
Delicious wine, stylish interior, and tasty popcorn. We didn't try the food, but the appetizers looked interesting. The wine and ambiance were so good we ended up signing up for the wine club. You get a free tasting for 4 once per month with the club, can't wait to be back.

Yelp
Came here on Super Bowl Sunday 2022 They were showing the game on a giant projector (whaaaaat?! ) We wanted something lower key, close to home and of course wiiiine! Everyone here was AMAZING! SO nice SO personable SO accommodating. They were out of our 1st choices of food due to a busy weekend, but we had a flat bread pizza & it was pretty good. The wine? Delightful. We bought a couple of bottles to go. My partner is a dark beer drinker & they could accommodate that as well. Truly excellent, will definitely be back

Yelp
Eagerly anticipating the opening of Tinte Cellars in the location formerly occupied by a Vespa dealer in Georgetown, I was undaunted by the driving rain, raging pandemic and chilly temperatures - outside seating only, for now. Definitely not a disappointment; the building has been beautifully remodeled, with an open tasting area that you will walk through to get to the outdoor patio in back. Cozy with an open firepit and plenty of heaters, you will be welcomed by friendly staff and some really fantastic wines. The tasting fee is waived with a bottle purchase, and the only hard part will be to decide which bottle (or bottles!) to buy. A small selection of bites is available, but this isn't a restaurant; they feature rotating options. Very welcoming and helpful staff on hand the day I visited - Neil, Matt and D - provided lots of information about the wines, of course - but also the genesis of Tinte Cellars, and the commitment of the owners to not just provide great wines but a socially conscious local business. Local neighbors in Georgetown are lucky to have this gem join the business district on Airport Way, and it is definitely worth a visit even if you hail from farther away. Can't recommend highly enough!

Yelp
Gorgeous space, super friendly staff, extra clean and safe distance protocols and above all - the wine! Really tasty juice going on here. Also a reasonable wine club if you're looking for that. Cheers!
