"This family-run diner located in the Westlake strip mall has long been a home away from home for Japanese expats in the Daly City area. At Tani’s kitchen, home-style comfort food is the name of the game: curry plates topped with tonkatsu or a Japanese-style hamburger, assorted rice bowls, and thick-cut tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) that regulars swear is the fluffiest and tastiest version around. It’s also a good spot to load up on solid, unfussy sushi and sashimi." - Lauren Saria, Luke Tsai

We had an amazing dining experience! The food was fantastic, and the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. We followed his recommendations and ordered the chef’s choice bowl, sushi tacos, salad, and toro—and he was absolutely right. Everything was so delicious, I nearly swallowed my tongue! I think my favorite was the sushi tacos—they were out of this world. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. Our host was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. He went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic time, even offering us complimentary dishes to explore more of the menu. We left feeling completely happy and satisfied. I can’t wait to return! I highly recommend this place for its outstanding food and excellent service.

My wife and I decided to try a different Sushi Restaurant tonight, and we were not disappointed. This location is, well “Tiny”, so the name fits perfectly. However the service, fresh selection and overall experience was outstanding. We were greeted promptly by Jack, who told us we’d have a 10 minute wait. It turned out to be about five minutes. We were immediately served our own bottled water, miso soup and ample supply of wasabi and pickled ginger. The menu was about four pages (one was mostly drinks). Jack was our waiter, he was attentive without being annoying. After our soup, we started with the “Perfect (Hamachi Lover), Spicy Salmon Roll and the Sushi Taco”, all three were different and very delicious. The salmon simply melted on your tongue with different layers of flavor. We could have stopped there, but decided to try one additional selection, “The Warrior” (pictured), was again uniquely flavored and the slight crunch on the top made it even more interesting. While we waited briefly for our final selection, the chef surprised us with an additional “tasty bite”, I won’t disclose what it was because I don’t think it’s a usual offering. Only included the mention because the service here was outstanding. We enjoyed our time here so much we’ve decided to return for our 31st Anniversary, this coming June. Do yourself a favor and try, “Tiny Sushi”!

Portions were super generous (a little too generous) and the taste was amazing. Really recommend the deluxe chirashi bowl. Huge fan and definitely looking forward to coming back.

Google
Had a serious craving for quality sushi after watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi, and this place did not disappoint! The Deluxe Chirashi Bowl was absolutely loaded with high-quality, fresh fish, all atop a generous bed of perfectly seasoned sushi rice. The real standouts? The o-toro—unbelievably fatty and melt-in-your-mouth—and the sushi rice itself, which was the most flavorful I’ve had in recent memory. I also tried the Double Toro Roll, which was just as incredible—packed with rich, fatty tuna and salmon that made every bite delicious. 10/10 must-try dishes! Beyond the food, the service was excellent. Jack made the experience even better with his great recommendations and friendly attitude. If you’re looking for top-tier sushi, this spot is a must-visit!

Google
Never write reviews but this was literally the best food I’ve ever had- it was so delicious and the server was amazing. He took care of us and gave us extras as well, definitely come here if you get the chance

Google
Service was impeccable. The host/server offered tea while we waited for seats, since there is room for only 10 at a time and it was full when we arrived at 12:30. He checked in on us as we waited, and was very attentive throughout our meal. The regular chirashi bowl was very fresh and tasty, with different seasonings for each type of fish. It’s possibly large enough for 2 to share with an additional roll or side. The deluxe bowl is in my future. The space is very cozy, but we never felt squished. We enjoyed sitting at the bar, where we could watch the magic happen on the other side of the plexiglass.

I had a wonderful dinner experience! Our server, Jack, was excellent and really took care of our table. We ordered one deluxe and two regular charashi bowls for each of us. The fish was very fresh and the portions were huge. I really enjoyed my overall experience. Jack was a very attentive and friendly server. He also was already checking in on us when we were outside waiting. He was checking on our table throughout the meal and even gave us a treat at the end. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Loved the authentic ambiance! Food was perfectly presented and the service is great. Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance made for a memorable experience.

Yelp
Oh man the yelp rating and reviews do not lie! This is probably my new favorite sushi spot and probably one of my favorite restaurants in the bay area!! Let me tell you why: Food: (5/5). This cannot be stressed enough! The sushi here is amazingly fresh and well done. We got the omakase sushi combo and the no.1 combo box. The pictures really do these plates justice and they look just as amazing as it tastes! Super fresh, well presented, and worthy of any $$$$ omakase you can get in the bay area for a fraction of the price. The main ticket items were obviously the fish and its freshness and the presentation; however, the soup and salad that came with the combos were also decent (4/5), but not to the level you would get at other omakase type places. Price: (5/5). This is definitely a huge factor. You get similar quality for a fraction of the cost. Service: (5/5). The waiter was super friendly and super accommodating. Ambiance: (4/5). Overall, I liked what they were able to achieve with such a small space. However, like the other reviews say, it is a very, very small space. There are 3 tables that seat 2 and a counter top that seats 4 people, and one of those seats is right next to the entrance door. It is quite cramped and compact to say the least. However, they make up for it in charm with their decorations and it definitely feels like a quaint small sushi restaurant in Japan.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh sushi. Great selection with vegetarian/vegan/GF and kid-friendly options! Not the typical sushi spot- menu has popular sushi rolls with a twist and new, creative items. Seating is limited so consider take out or dining in before/after rush hour. Cozy ambiance. Service is great on off-peak hours, I haven't attempted to dine in on typical meal times.

Yelp
This use to be the mama and papa's shop that was a staple to Westlake which now became this. Went with an old colleague to catch up. Small place where we went early to ensure we got a table since there's only 10 seats or so that they can accommodate. Fresh sashimi with great service that was just attentive. Our server was always ensuring we had what we need. Mind that even though there was only limited seating, they were very busy with online orders. We got to try their omakase box along with lion king, and some specific sashimi which was decently portioned and well presented. If you're looking for a local spot in DC, this one is a gem to bookmark for the go to!

Yelp
Came here early at 4:15 pm before they opened for some Chirashi cravings. Great quality and fresh fish as per usual. We ordered our favorite, the Deluxe Chirashi $59.95 which had an assortment of fish, tobiko, tomago, scallop and uni. And a nice bottle of Dassai to compliment the Chirashi. Again, great service and food at our favorite sushi spot

Yelp
A huge shout out to Jack for making my birthday dinner at Tiny Sushi so special! It was our first time eating here, and we are blown away by their delicious menu items and good service. Their sushi taco is creative and refreshing. I've never had anything like that before. The Oh Baby Box consists of seared salmon, scallop, fish roes, and real crab. Their fresh wasabi is to die for... Although the seating area is pretty small, it adds an intimate vibe to your dinner! There are 4 seats right in front of the chefs and 4 small tables. I definitely recommend this sushi gem at Westlake!

Yelp
My work bestie introduced Tiny Sushi - Oh Baby to me earlier this year and my husband and I have been in love ever since! It's a small, intimate place reminiscent of Japan's tiny shops but they also offer takeout as an option! We have gotten their omakase several times, where they mix both regular and seasonal offerings. The selection is fresh and tasty, and they also use fresh wasabi, which makes a huge difference. The Oh Baby Box is also excellent with soft, melt in your mouth seared salmon, fresh truffle oil scallop, buttery uni, bright pops of ikura and real crab meat that is just fine as is with the rice. For the rolls, I really enjoyed their baked scallop roll with its bouncy pieces of fresh scallop. The first time we came here was for my husband's birthday (they did not know this) and they happened to gift us with extra miso soup and salad, and we sampled the veggie tacos as well. Everything was excellent. I love the care and attention placed in each of the dishes, especially the omakase. Service is also always solid.

Nina S.

Yelp
Delicious (so fresh!) and intimate is how I would describe Tiny Sushi - Oh Baby. My partner and I came on a Friday evening, and to our surprise, we were seated in less than 20 minutes at the counter. Not sure if we were just lucky as I've seen a crowd outside. Parking is available on the street and around the corner. The shop is small, as the name suggests, so I'd say it's better for duos and small groups due to limited seating. The service was friendly and professional, creating a relaxed atmosphere in an Izakaya-like space, perfect for a casual foodie date. We were drawn by the beautiful omakase photos on Yelp, and the experience didn't disappoint. Each of the nigiri pieces we tried was flavorful and fresh with unique tasty combinations. The Oh Baby box was also a surprising standout, featuring uni, Hokkaido scallops, seared salmon toro, real crab meat, and ikura on sushi rice. We're tempted to reorder both next time but eager to explore more dishes. Can't wait!

Yelp
First time trying Tiny Sushi - Oh Baby! The restaurant is TINY! And there's only a maximum 10-12 patrons at a time. We wrote our name on the list that's posted near the door then waited for 15-20 minutes. Thankfully there were 3 chairs outside. Our server, Jack made it memorable! He made sure we had everything and switched out plates when needed. Fish was fresh and really good! Everything was presented artfully as well as tasty! Our picks for the night: OH BABY BOX ~ WOW! Beautifully presented in a box with paddles to scoop your sashimi and rice into sheets of seaweed! Obviously, this is something to share! A thick blanket of rice is on the bottom. Loved this dish! Very fresh tasting! 5/5 DELUXE CHIRASHI BOWL ~ Another art piece that's visually appealing and appetizing! We all shared this as well! Fresh and delicious! 5/5 SPICY RAINBOW ROLL ~ this roll was good though nothing spectacular next to the box and bowl. 4/5 TACO SUSHI ~ Very good but we were stuffed and this was a comp item! 5/5 FRIED FISH ~ Another comp! Crispy and pretty good. I don't think this is on the menu. Extra calcium for those that like eating bones! 4/5 Definitely an awesome, first experience! And a GREAT, BIG THANK YOU TO JACK!!!

Yelp
The fish tacos are my favorite. The flavor combos are excellent here with some unique options - including vegetarian choices I've never seen before - and the fish quality is great. Excellent service.

Yelp
Call me Nuts was not as fresh today as my prior visit but was decent. The rest of the three- I really enjoyed the look and taste of the spicy sriracha tuna 8 pc roll. That was close to being worth its $19 price. The rest were exuberantly overpriced and service, from another man and not the one from our other visit, was excruciatingly slow. Take outs where getting their food faster and the waiter had to be waved for miso, for water, for ginger etc or else he would have taken eons to serve us. In total we paid $18-$19 plus tax EACH on four 8-piece sushi. With the tip, we paid $101 and walked away sorely disappointed. As of this visit, I do not recommend eating in and definitely don't think the price warrants these overpriced rolls served with slow service.

Antonio A.

Yelp
Are you the type of person who eats rolls, that are cooked or vegetarian? If those are your tastes, this place definitely has you covered. Not only do they have more than a few options when it comes vegetarian & cooked rolls, but the quality is spot on. The location is a bit "tiny" (surprise) and is loved by locals so you should plan for a (short) line to get in. Employee service knows and appreciates their customers' patience; on more than one occasion our party has gotten complementary miso soup as a thank you for waiting. Other yelpers can speak more to the rolls that are uncooked. Overall this place is great. Great for couples, friends, & dinner dates.

Gary B.

Yelp
This place is small, but the flavor of the food is big! There are only three tables and some counter seating, so luckily it was not busy and we were seated quickly. Our enthusiastic waiter was busy, yet took our order in relatively fast. The food was delicious. All the rolls were good but the standouts were the Angry Fish and the Snow White. The roll combinations were unique and memorable without trying too hard and coming off as novelty. This place ain't cheap, but worth the price is you're craving sushi in Daly City.

Jamie S.

Yelp
My mom and I visited for lunch. We had the deluxe charashi bowl, the hamachi truffle sashimi and Toro nigiri. Everything was yummy. Truffle flavor on the hamachi was on point. The service received from our waiter was great. Everyone was friendly and super nice. The spot is a tiny bit small but they do what they can with the space issue. Overall solid spot. Only drawback is that the total bill for us was over $140. Other than that they served solid tasting food!

Samantha L.

Yelp
Great service as the waiter was very attentive. Excellent quality of fish and only came out to $100 total. Would highly recommend to everyone. Dishes (best to worst): 1) Double Toro Rolls -must try 2) Oh Baby Box 3) Veggie Taco 4) Seared Salmon Toro Nigiri Logistics: -accepts cc, no cash -street & garage parking -very limited in seating (3 tables for couples and 4 bar seats)

Jared D.

Yelp
Food was great. Didn't have to wait too long, server was very attentive in this cute, tiny sushi restaurant. I got the chiraishi bowl and my fiancé got the oh baby box. I think one order some could have fed us because we left really full. I liked mine better and she liked hers better, but if we chose either to share it would still be great. We also got the guava mimosa to share which tasted great, looks like they have a good sake selection too. Will come back/order takeout.

Yelp
I recalled visiting this place back during the pandemic. I am not so sure if they changed the owner but I must say we were very impressed with the food, the service and the atmosphere inside the restaurant. It has brought me back the memory when I visited one of the ramen stall in Japan. It was just as tiny as this place, even smaller! But it definitely worths the wait :) We ordered the total of 5 dishes and they were all amazing as you can see in the photo. The ingredients are very fresh and you can actually taste the quality! We love good stuff, so we love 'em all! Absolutely worth the drive! The service is awesome! There were already 3 groups waiting ahead of us. We noted our phone number down as well and waited in front of the restaurant for a while then went for a small walk and shortly after, they called us saying the table was ready! We were so excited. The server is very attentive, polite and very friendly! Forgot to ask for his name but he was great!!! Thank you for his great service that helped made our experience much better :) The atmosphere was great! Reminded me of a time when I visited Japan. Everything is so small but definitely full of quality and worth the wait, so I don't feel any regret! We'll definitely come back for more!!! So, if you are concerned about the wait time, consider reaching there right at open :) The price wise is kinda based on Japanese Sushi elsewhere. We spend $130 with 20% tips included but we walked out stuffed!! Highly recommended :)

Farrah F.

Yelp
This place is really tiny and can accommodate about 12 ppl. The wait is long so be sure to add your name and info on the waitlist. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The Chirashi Bowl and Snow White were both very delicious the fish was fresh. The Godzilla roll was the most ordered item today per our server. The love paradise beverage was just ok for me it was a bit on the sweet and I wanted it to be more chilled. The matcha IPA is bitter with the matcha aftertaste.

Yelp
Many many years ago, this place used to be Tani's Kitchen and it had amazing ratings, which I never understood. The place was tiny, dark and seemed to serve standard homemade Japanese food. I wasn't impressed. So now here we are, many years later, dining at Tiny Sushi, Oh Baby (weird name) Right away, you notice service is going to be impeccable, like you're dining at a 5 star restaurant, which is odd because this place is still super tiny -- maybe that's their inspiration for the odd business name. Our waiter recommended many items from the menu and talked about them like a fine dining experience. Guess the service matches the prices they expect you to pay. This meal was definitely a treat. We tried 5 items and the total was $159! Arrived on a Wednesday at 5pm, which was perfect because you do not wanna dine here when it gets full. Deluxe chirashi bowl $59.95 An exquisite presentation of: sea urchin, scallop, spotted shrimp, salmon roe, salmon belly, Japanese omelet, seaweed salad, fried shrimp head and an abundant variety of fresh white fish -- honestly a work of art on top of a bowl of rice. Ferrari roll $24.95 Bbq eel, mango, spicy tuna, ahi tuna, salmon, avocado, crab, radish, black tobiko and seaweed salad -- this was the best out of all the rolls but also the most expensive. The rest of the rolls pretty much all kinda taste the same. Warrior roll $19.95 Shrimp tempura, crab, seared salmon Baked baby scallop roll $19.95 Crab meat, avocado, baked scallop this was messy to eat, little sweet Heart attack roll $19.95 Crab meat, avocado, shrimp, bbq eel They gave us two free sushi tacos at the end: seared salmon and chopped white fish, avocado, corn bits, all topped on a fried crispy seaweed chip -- probably valued at $9 -- it was tasty and very much appreciated! We definitely spent some shiny pennies here. I don't know that I would come back, simply because of the price point. While the fish was definitely fresh and the techniques were definitely skilled, nothing was exceptional enough to justify the price. One thing I have to say is their homemade sesame dressing is absolutely OUTSTANDING! Wow -- I can't go back to the bottled stuff now! They should bottle their sauce and sell it!! Yummy dressing, oh baby!!

Janice F.

Yelp
Fantastic service. Treated like royalty with freebie side dishes and apps, and even offered free samples of their salad dressing to take home because it tasted so good. Food was also fast, super fresh and tasty. Enjoyed every minute. Will definitely return.

Lorna D.

Yelp
Amazing service and quality of fish. Staff is super-friendly and the quality of fish is top notch. I ate the deluxe chirashi and it was flavorful. The uni here is delicious and does not have that odd aftertaste that is there a lot of the time. My son was super happy. The wait can be super long because this is the small space that used to Tani's. Nonetheless, they did try to make up for the wait with free miso soups on a cold day.

Oleg H.

Yelp
Amazing service. Amazing food. TSOB - makes me want to revise all my previous reviews down. A unique restaurant - with some top notch sushi creations. And if you're vegan or vegetarian -- this place is a MUST TRY (recommend the veggie tiger roll). Tried the Omakase and the Chirashi Bowl - both were top notch.

Allison W.

Yelp
Came here on Valentine's Day right at opening and was seated right away! The host was super friendly! Pricing and quality of fish was so good, would definitely recommend if you're nearby. It's definitely a smaller restaurant with limited seating so come in early or consider pickup!

Vans C.

Yelp
Inside looks exactly the same as Tani's did before they closed down. Capacity is about 12 people max so expect a wait. My party of 4 arrived on Friday at 7:00PM, and the wait was around 30 minutes. For parking there's plenty in the plaza nearby (near Nations). My biggest complaint was the wait time for food. Although they constantly checked on us, I haven't the slightest idea why some dishes took so much longer. I finished my food while the others waited over 45 minutes for their food to arrive. Food was all very delicious. I would go back if it wasn't during the weekend or prime dinner time.

Brandi T.

Yelp
This place is so tiny, with only having around 8-10 seats available for guests but let me tell you - it's worth the wait. If you do end up having to wait, the servers sometimes give you miso soup. Our group of 3 waited around 10 minutes on a weekday. As for the food -- the deluxe chirashi bowl is a must have. The quality of the fish was amazing and buttery. My favorite out of the bowl was the salmon belly, walu and toro. I shared the bowl with two of my friends and also had the Double Toro roll and Baby Baked Scallop Roll. Both rolls were filling, with the Double Toro being the favorite. Our server, Jerrick gave us miso soup, the veggie taco, and roasted hamachi -- on the house. He was so nice!! His generous gesture and awesome service along with the high quality food will have us coming back to this place very soon.

Tori C.

Yelp
Oh my, one of the best sushi spots I've been to! It's very tiny inside, literally 11-12 spots so get there early. Our waiter was so kind and friendly when we came in, we got complimentary salad and miso soup - both of which were great! I came with 2 other friends and we ordered 2 rolls, hamachi, and the oh baby box. We also got a veggie appetizer for my friend's review on google. Everything was amazing!! Not one thing I didn't enjoy. My favorite was the oh baby box, it came with seaweed sheets so you can make your own hand roll. I'm definitely coming back to try to chirashi and other things!

Will L.

Yelp
Food was fresh, service was good and price was fair (not cheap, but for the quality). Not recommend for parties, but definitely great for a couple of friends to enjoy delicious food / drinks together!

Gregg L.

Yelp
This spot has overwhelming positive reviews, but unfortunately our group found it to be pretty mediocre for the price and experience all things considered. The space itself is very small and the seats against the hard walls are quite uncomfortable. We are not ones to judge a place for being tiny and were here for the sushi so we pressed on. It's still good to be aware this place is really tight, hence the tiny name we suppose. We went with a bunch of the recommendations from our server and while he was extremely friendly, it also felt like he was definitely pushing us towards the most expensive items on the menu. When it comes to good food we aren't the type to shy away from spending extra for great experiences, but we found everything we ate to be pretty mid-level. It just wasn't that amazing. The rice here is on the harder side and not well seasoned. The slices of fish (while generous) often threw off the ratio of other flavors in the dishes and felt more filling than they needed to be. The finesse of the rolls and nigiri felt off and none of the flavor or texture combinations really blew us away like we were hoping. Three stars feels a little harsh as the food was in no way bad here, but the price point for the food we received just did not match up. We also felt a bit rushed and came away underwhelmed, especially after spending so much on what they claimed were their best dishes. Maybe we just caught a bad night, but probably will not be returning.

Marian B.

Yelp
My new favorite Omakase! Tiny sushi isn't an exaggeration because this restaurant is small. About 3 tables and 5 bar seats, but the tight space is worth the delicious sushi. Everything is fresh, creative and aesthetically pleasing. The service is quick and friendly. I enjoyed my meal from the first bite to the last! Truly amazing!

Reanne Z.

Yelp
Really fresh food and amazing service! Arrived around 6:30 PM on a Thursday, there were a few groups ahead of us so our group of 3 waited for about 2 waves of tables before we were seated, as the space is very small. The host/server was very nice and brought out some bowls of miso soup for us as it was cold outside while we were waiting. We ordered the box, the perfect hamachi roll, and the angry fish tuna roll. Everything was super fresh, especially in the box and the hamachi roll. The box had a light drizzle of truffle oil over it, and everything in it was great! I think it's a fair deal for about $60, the quality was great and they didn't pack it with too much rice. They also give you small pieces of seaweed to build your own hand roll. We didn't catch our server's name, but he was extremely attentive and nice! He checked in with us regularly and was very friendly. Thank you for making our dining experience great, we'll definitely be coming again!

Chris R.

Yelp
Tucked away in a corner of a shopping plaza, this restaurant is easy to miss. When we got here we had to do a double take to make sure we were at the restaurant. When we walked inside, it was empty. The place was SMALL. It'll seat about 10 to maybe 12 people max. We got a corner section. Throughout the meal, the restaurant slowly filled up to its max capacity. It's a very small space and it was difficult to have a conversation with how intimate the space is. You could easily hear and be heard. The server was nice. He was attentive and filled our water if we ran low. On to the food. It was good! Pricey though. We ordered a deluxe chirashi and an oh baby box. Each set came with premium cuts of fish and other assorted goodies. I like both options, it's just the price is really steep for both. The total bill with tax and tip was $150. Pretty expensive for just two meals. We didn't add drinks or appetizers. Oh I forgot to mention you do get salad and miso soup. They were good. Nothing crazy. The fish itself tasted fresh and I enjoyed every bite. Overall, tiny sushi is a unique spot. It's definitely pricey, but the quality is at least good. I think the oh baby box is probably worth it because you get a lot of uni, crab meat, scallop, and the salmon where you can make your own hand rolls. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come again, but it was at least an interesting experience for the both of us.

Kiyomi K.

Yelp
Very small restaurant with a sushi bar table for maybe 4-5 people and three tables that only fits pairs (one table can fit maybe 3). I didn't catch the waiter's name but he was very enthusiastic and approachable, meeting everyone's needs one at a time. Although we arrived on a weekday, there was a list of people on the waitlist. We were very fortunate that these people left and were not waiting in front of the restaurant, we got to sit in with only minimal wait. The food is pricey, but you get what you paid. We ordered the deluxe chirashi bowl, which comes with many kinds of fishes. They add in uni, scallops, salmon, tuna, shrimp and many more. It's very Instagram worthy as well and I would say their sushi rice is very good. I would definitely come back or even try to order online and eat at home as this place will be full with people.

Nick G.

Yelp
Best affordable sushi in the city. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavor. We ordered the Oh Baby Box and the deluxe chirashi. All the fish were soft and buttery. The sauces on top were very good as well. I'd highly recommend.

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
First time trying it out, was attracted by the photos. Didn't know if it would be good, but it turned out to be well worth it. The food is fresh and unique. The service is very attentive.

Tara A.

Yelp
I recently visited Tiny Sushi with a friend and we loved our deluxe chirashi bowls! It's definitely a splurge, but well worth it for the fresh nigiri. There wasn't uni available that day due to the storms, but they substituted it for more fatty tuna. The chirashi comes with miso soup and a small side salad with a delicious miso dressing. I also loved the sushi rice in the chirashi bowl--it was perfect! The restaurant is really small, so be sure to get there early/when they open if you don't want to wait in line. Service is really friendly too.

Felix S.

Yelp
Jack, the server, is incredible. Continuously checking on the folks waiting outside, offering tea while you wait, and giving free veggie tacos to folks waiting too long. Food is also incredible. Best quality sushi for the price. Been to places like Okane, Robin, Sushi Hon and this place is better than all of them in terms of value. The first and only sushi restaurant that I've been too where I was super full coming out. 10/10 would come again! Only thing I'd do differently is if I get the chirashi bowl no need to order any extra rolls even if you're hungry. The bowl is humongous The deluxe chirashi is enormous and you should come in hungry in order to finish it. Only thing to keep in mind is that wait times are about 40 mins-1 hr at peak weekend dinner times since the place only seats 10 people total.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here and it did not disappoint. We didn't have to wait on a Sunday at 12:50 pm and we lucked out since usually there is a long line. People weren't joking when they said it was a small restaurant and it sure made me feel like a giant sitting at the booth. Not really plus size friendly since I could see why it would be very uncomfortable. There are a few bar stools or booths. As a taller person, I would advise to sit at the stools. The omakase is amazing and each bite is seasoned and surprising. I really liked the salmon cheek which is the one with the spoon. The chirashi bowl is also great. Jack gave us the sushi tacos on the house and the roll with tempura and salmon and seaweed salad on top. Super generous/unexpected since we didn't say anything abt it being my birthday: we tipped well of course. All in all rlly nice service and we highly appreciated it. Glad I came to this small business and highly recommend.

Yelp
I used to go to this place when it was just a super cheap Japanese comfort foods place, but it wasn't this hard to get seated. Still tiny gem with a comforting feel. One must get there at opening really to get into the first wave. I think they can only fit 11 people, including the counter. When we went there was only one server doing everything, even preparing food. However, he was very friendly and efficient. This place is probably my favorite Japanese restaurant this year, for the value, freshness, and low key. We got the sushi box Double Toro Roll, the Chirashi, and the oh baby handroll. I'm not a fan of imitation crab and was thankful they used fresh crab, light mayo, in the box. Everything was so delicious and flavorful.

Yelp
Only downside is that it's really small, so not really the place for big groups but other than that the food and service were great! Sashimi was fresh, whatever crack they put in their salad dressing is fireeee, veggie tacos were also surprisingly really good! We also had their heart attack, baked scallop, walnut shrimp, and mango unagi. All were yummy but the best were probably the heart attack and baked scallop. Def recommend

Yelp
Tiny Sushi is a hidden gem in the realm of sushi joints. Their Vegetarian Roll was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavors that danced on my palate. The Spicy Veggie Roll had just the right kick, leaving me craving more. The miso soup was comforting and soothing. The ambiance is tiny yet cozy, and because of the shared parking lot, finding a spot was hassle-free. Jack, our server, was an absolute delight--attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. From answering the phone to guiding us through the menu, his hospitality was top-notch. Tiny Sushi is now my go-to spot for a sushi fix when I'm in the area, and I can't wait to return for another delightful meal (tomorrow for lunch!).

Yelp
OH BABY! Tiny Sushi has become a neighborhood staple and a go-to restaurant for us. We usually order on DoorDash, then pick up the food after grocery shopping. At first glance, the prices in general seem to be on the higher end but trust, it is worth it. This is a sushi place in every sense of the word. No ramen or bento boxes here. My wife always gets either the Deluxe Churashi or the Omakase. I dabble between the rolls, hand rolls, and sashimi. Everything has been fresh and fantastic. Truly quality that can be tasted. Service has always been friendly for pickup and the food is packaged nicely with sturdy food containers. Parking can be a little annoying in the Westlake shopping center but good food cures all. Yummy Certified!

Yelp
Got the oh baby box and it came with salad and miso soup which was nice. Personally I think the best item in the box was actually the scallop, even more so since I usually don't prefer to eat raw scallop but this was soo good. The scallop was super smooth and not rubbery at all, and of course tasted super fresh. Also surprisingly, my second next favorite item was the ikura! It was not fishy at all and tasted so umami. I loved it! The uni was kinda a little too fishy for my taste (I've also had better). But overall I thought the meal was super tasty and worth it! Give it a try!

Yelp
I can't remember the last time I had such a memorable meal! In the vast array of Japanese dining options in the Bay Area, Tiny Sushi truly stands out. After experiencing their exceptional offerings, I find myself comparing all other Japanese places to this gem. The freshness of the food, the splendid presentation, and the undeniable talent of the chef have set an exceptionally high standard for me. What elevated the entire dining experience was our server, Jack. His graciousness, kindness, and evident passion for his job added an extra layer of enjoyment. I will be back! Food: - Deluxe Chirashi bowl - everything was fresh and beautifully presented - Oh Baby roll - signature and a bit spicy - Heart Attack roll - nicely cooked roll - Mango Unagi roll - the sweetness of the mango really caught us off guard, in a good way - Double Toro roll - tuna plus salmon?! yes please! - Side salad - an absolutely amazing housemade sesame dressing - Veggie tacos - crunchy and full of flavor Side note, this place only has about 11 seats and you should be prepared to wait, this is not a place for a quick meal and it shouldn't be, you should be enjoying time with friends and family anyway.

Yelp
Tiny Sushi (oh baby?) - more like oh boy! If I'm being completely honest, I completely 100% judged this place from the photos online at the onset. There have been such a flurry of sushi spots popping up in the Bay Area left and right with these 'treasure box' presentation of some sushi or other that I fully expected this place to be gimmicky. And boy was I so, extraordinarily wrong. After all, who could possibly conceive that in this random side road, in the smallest space that seats literally 10 people and not even all together, that you could find incredibly satisfying, superbly value forward and extremely fresh fish all wrapped up in a gorgeous presentation with over the top service from its staff?! Yes, all these photos of Oh Baby Box and their Sushi Nigiri Omakase are on point because these really are the best things that this innovative sushi spot makes. While they have a variety of rolls and actually a huge variety of other food, sushi, sashimi, hot apps etc. I still think the star of the show are in these wooden boxes. Highly recommended might be an understatement. But also, please don't come by because there are only 10 seats and I need to get back in here!

Yelp
TSOB is a real treat. We enjoyed all of our vegan sushi, as well as the matcha IPA. Wonderful date spot. And there's no better named restaurant in all of SF.

Yelp
Tiny Sushi is actually T I N Y. Can seat a max of about 4 small parties at a given time. Some places are meant to be to go and this is might be one of them. (Given that you will be missing out on the beautiful presentation of the dishes) The sushi is amazing. The menu is organized by the star fish (hehe) of the roll. Lots of tuna, salmon and even scallop options. There's a load of vegetarian and even vegan options as well. I was craving a more filling roll and the firecracker did not disappoint. The rolls are mostly 8 pieces that come beautifully organized on a black slate plate. The roll pieces are also uniquely more wider than evenly round which is what I'm used to. Since we had to wait for one of the few tables to open up, our extremely kind and efficient servers threw in a vegetarian taco order on the house. Never thought I'd enjoy anything vegetarian at a sushi restaurant but these were divine. The flat crispy seaweed they used for the taco shell has to be incorporated more into other rolls! A great Daly City Sushi gem that you have to try!

Yelp
Pictures of the omakase box intrigued me to go here, though I'm always weary that things may look better than they taste. However, this place did not disappoint! My partner and I went for lunch at 12:30pm on a Sunday, and were seated immediately at the last of the 3 tables. It's a very intimate restaurant, so be aware that you'll hear others' conversations and vice versa. I would only go with a max of 2 people, otherwise order takeout. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He offered some suggestions and checked up on us frequently. We even got a complimentary veggie taco at the end of our meal which he added his own flare of mango puree to. The real star was the food! Everything was visually stunning, and tasted even better! The quality of the miso soup to the salad dressing to the pickled ginger to the sashimi were all amazing! Everything was reasonably priced too. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm craving sushi!

Yelp
Ok,I looked at the rating and didn't read the reviews. That's on me! Main takeaways:: * Place is TINY! (Think two standard closets put together..) seats 3 tables of 2ppl... and 4 at a counter. Everyone is on top of each other. When we first arrived, at opening... there were just 4 of us, and it was fine. Within, 5-10 minutes, the door was constantly opening with people ordering, waiting...etc. * quality of fish is excellent!! Fresh, high-quality fish. * Exorbitant prices!!! Ridiculously pricey!! A few $20 rolls, but the majority of rolls are $30. Chirashi bowls $50-60 * service was good. Our server recommended two rolls, which we ordered. Sorry, I don't remember the name, but both rolls were delicious. Salmon and mango with something else. He also suggested the deluxe Chirashi bowl. * * Area doesn't warrant the prices! Personally, I would make the place a take out location. They had 5 or 6 ppl working on food, plus 1 server. This was to serve 10 ppl total, sitting on top of each other. Only problem is.. take out or dine in too pricey.

Yelp
The Oh Baby Box is delicious and a good value. It can be lunch and dinner or shared amongst two. The go-to here for sure.

Yelp
Great Find - yummy sushi place y'all! Small cute place (3 tables for 2), friendly staff, and the punchline... YUM YUM sushi! We had the double Toro, salmon on fire, and the veggie tacos.
