Tiny's No. 5 - Review - West University - Houston - The Infatuation

"The private, upscale-beach-resort styled “Ivy Room” at Tiny’s No. 5 looks like Ina Garten’s kitchen. It’s intimate, full of flowing linen and greenery, and it’s also, well, tiny. It would be perfect for hosting your grandma’s birthday with seasonal vegetable risotto, a mid-day coffee-fueled brunch with fresh croissants, or a wine-fueled engagement that will eventually spill into the English garden patio." - Chelsea Thomas

On the Grid : Tiny's No. 5

"Like a small slice of Eden in the heart of Houston, Tiny’s No. 5 is one of our favorite retreats for a leisurely brunch, a shaken cocktail, or a crumbly something sweet from their bakery. With its wicker and reclaimed wooden beams, climbing ivy, an expanse of pristine green lawn… you feel like you’re dining in a European garden, sipping a flat white and savoring the tranquility. Type nerds will love the gorgeously penned menu that complements perfectly Tiny’s upscale charm. And everybody will love their chocolate chip cookie, ranked #1 in Houston this past September." - Principle

Google
First time visiting Tiny's Milk and Cookies. The team was helpful and explained all the offerings. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie 🍪 and matching strawberry ice cream. The cookie was absolutely delicious. The ice cream flavor was interesting. Will try other cookies and get another chocolate chip 🍪.

Loved everything about this place. Fantastic service, good food with great prices and great drinks. Atmosphere is perfect for a date night or just a regular dinner outing and the outdoor seating is beautiful as well. Will definitely be back for brunch!

Google
Birthday lunch at Tiny No. 5. Good location, beautiful place, good lighting and decor, super cozy. No reservations at lunchtime, but we arrived and waited a bit for a table, only for a short time. The server was super friendly and attentive. The Cobb salad was delicious and fresh, and the salmon was cooked just right. I loved the iced tea. I would definitely love to come back.

No server checked on us. The knife on our table looks like this. We love tiny boxwood and this has always been the Togo place for us. When I went to the front desk and asked to replace the knife, their staff gave me the attitude “uhm , uhm, what else “. You get way better treatment and service in tiny boxwood. Do not recommend this location at all.

Google
Company gathering here. The whole atmosphere is really nice! However, service was lacking specially in the food and beverage area. Waiters took forever to service drinks let alone take drinks (one at a time). Took me almost 15 mins to get my drink. Only to find out he was taking one order at a time. Top it off…the steak order. Ordered a medium rare. I’ve had wonderful Medium Rares from many places, this was not one of them.

Google
Tiny’s 5 was wonderful! There were 6 of us. We sat outside under the patio roof. There was a huge fan that sent a slight breeze over the table and nice music set the tone. The inside was very well appointed. Food was delicious and appropriately priced. Our waitress was attentive to our needs. All & all a very nice experience.

Google
Really nice place . I would say upscale, offers good wine menu as well as good food items which are appropriately high to match the quality of the place. Indoor as well as beautiful outdoor seating. Free parking, and of-curse requires reservations.

Google
Starting with the food, I ordered lucky burger and it was a bit salty and greasy for my taste. Coffee was ok. Our server Daniel was very professional, polite and attentive, so 5 star is not even enough. Inside was very crowded and loud, not recommended if you are looking for some peace. You have to shout to talk. Outside was great, much more peaceful and well suited for breakfast.

Yelp
Pretty good neighborhood spot. Nice grassy area for kids. Ordered the migas, avocado toast , and sweet potato fries. Everything gave basic millennial Americana in a good way. The sweet potato fries were crunchy, the migas had a bit of a kick to them but barely ( I don't eat spicy things so keep that in mind). Avocado toast was well seasoned. The bread was a bit thicc but it probably helped it not become too soggy. Service around 12:00 became a bit slow as the the lunch crowd came but our waiter was pretty nice. This isn't a place where you come to impress someone and not every place has to. It is solid brunch fair.

Yelp
Well, a year later and we decided to come in for dinner. What a disaster, sadly all impacting my wife. Short version, we were there for 90 minutes, and my wife got nothing to eat largely due to the waitress misunderstanding the order. Even after clarifying the order to the waitress and the manager, the wrong entree was brought out. Before she could accept the entree, it was taken back to the kitchen. We finally just paid and left. Look, they are optimized for "groups of friends coming in to get a light bite and a bottle of wine" to chat the night away. Kitchen rocks though...the food my daughter and I received was great.

Yelp
I attended a baby shower in the private room at Tinys No 5, and it was absolutely perfect! The space is light, airy, and gorgeous. It's fresh, clean, and the decor is modern farmhouse. The long table was dressed beautifully for the occasion, and it sat 18-20 comfortably. Our server was welcoming, congenial, and very attentive. Strawberry cocktails were delicious and refreshing! We started with a lovely charcuterie board, followed by a selection of brunch entrees. I had the avocado toast with bacon, and it was savory and satisfying. The cake was picture perfect, moist, and not too sweet. I was too full to eat the gorgeous cookies, but I ate them later in the evening, and OMG! Best tasting decorated sugar/butter cookie ever! I would easily recommend this place for special occasions and look forward to returning for a regular meal :)

Yelp
Great ambiance and cocktails! Our server Juana was amazing. Cute spot to bring friends and do not forget to order the best cookies in Houston for dessert!

ryan p.

Yelp
Firstly, the restaurant is extremely cute and is perfect for a night to dress up and dine! Secondly, all of the food was amazing. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and it tasted delicious. Here are food ratings of everything we ordered : 4/5 Meat & Cheese Board - The mustard cream was extremely tasty. 5/5 Crispy Brussels Sprouts - Whatever that sauce was on the side PLEASE give me more it was so good I started to take my fork and eat the sauce from the bowl. 4/5 Hamachi Crudo - Very refreshing! 5/5 Pesto & Mozzarella Pizza - I was a bigger fan of this pizza, reminded me of a Margherita pizza but the touch of pesto added that perfect slight nuttiness! 3/5 Fig & Prosciutto Pizza - It had an interesting flavor profile but I'd say it's worth trying. 4.5/5 A la mode - Personally the cookie was baked a little longer to my liking, but if you like a more solid cookie then I would highly recommend this. Lastly, I would like to thank Christie for such an amazing experience! She even gave the dessert menu a seat next to me so I could get a full look :)

Yelp
Tinys No 5 is a beautiful, sophisticated space that was jam packed on the Saturday morning I went. The menu is not very big and leans towards savory items than sweet. I got the pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were golden, fluffy, light, and gently sweet. However, the little container of syrup was 1/3 full, which felt a little cheap. There was a ton of butter and 2 spoonfuls of jam. The ratio of toppings served felt, but maybe that's just me. The server was friendly and brought more syrup when I asked for it. Bacon was well done and was on the crispier side. Tried some of my friends' dishes and they were both over salted. Prices are slightly expensive for the quality of the food, in my opinion. Service time was reasonable and everything was beautifully plated. Overall a cute place to have brunch, though quality of food is pretty average.

Yelp
We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday (around 5:15pm) as it was lovely patio weather. Many others thought so as well, but we were able to snag a table regardless. They have an interesting menu in that many of the dinner options were heavier/bigger than we were looking for (but they sound delicious) so we opted to share a pizza and the shishito peppers. The pizza crust was just about perfect; nice char while still having a pleasant softness and droop for foldability. The peppers were also nice, albeit gigantic when it comes to generally small and poppable shishitos - a pleasant surprise! Service was very friendly. Make sure to stop by their cookie/dessert walk-up window around the corner for a sweet treat before you leave!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful! We ended up sitting at the bar because I loved the vibe there best. Started with whiskey sours - absolutely delicious! The meat and cheese board was different and delicious. The jalapeno jam and the flatbread were amazing. I got the grilled cheese pesto (and added chicken per rec from the bartender) and my husband got the lucky burger. Literally both were so yummy!!! Highly recommend this spot. It's gorgeous and the bartenders are so helpful and nice. Had a fabulous birthday lunch.

Yelp
Food quality and service have declined noticeably since they switched to the new format.

Yelp
This place has that small town charm, but is located in the middle of the city. Came here for a quick dinner on a work night. Ended up having a glass of sauvignon blanc and a pizza. I got the Tony's Calabrian pizza which was amazing. Too bad I could only eat 3 small slices as I had a big lunch earlier otherwise I would've finished it. Our waitress was attentive and came back to check on us several times. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.
google avatar

Yelp
The pastries always hit here!! The chocolate croissants are so tasty. Also tried the chia pudding for the first time and it's a great lighter option. They get busy even on weekday mornings! But still a great classic breakfast and brunch option in west U.

Yelp
I've been here a few times but it hasn't been super memorable, as I find it to be hit or miss. I've had avocado toast for brunch and more recently, fried okra and a Caesar salad. The salad was drowning in dressing--soggy and unpleasant. The croutons were tiny, scarce, and more chewy than crunchy. The fried okra was very crispy and delicious, but half of the order seemed to be crispy batter bits vs. more substantial pieces of okra. I liked my white wine mojito--it was decently strong, but would have had a nicer flavor with the mint being muddled instead of a large sprig as garnish. We finished with the doughnuts for dessert, which I've definitely had better. I'd consider them to be cake doughnut holes, of which I'm not a big fan. However, the basque cheesecake with cherry sauce and candied pistachios was fantastic. Service was good, and they gave us some excellent chocolate chip cookies to take home. Overall, I'll keep coming back, I'm sure. I'd really love to try their steak with blue cheese risotto some day.

Yelp
This remodel sucks. I used to love coming for brunch but they changed the set up so now it takes way longer and they got rid of the French country sandwich which was my entire reason for coming. Then they also changed the fries - they used to be yummy skinny fries and now they are the gross dinner fries. Won't be coming back for brunch.
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
Not very memorable. Turkey club was just average and the sweet potato fries were soggy. Cuban was the star of the show and was very good. But the side salad as an option was just lettuce and dressing. Nothing else to it. It felt like organized chaos. I would have preferred table side service than ordering at the register. They have beer/ wine options but don't have a list anywhere at the front went ordering and the employees taking the orders couldn't even explain what they had to offer.
google avatar

Allison N.

Yelp
Used to be my absolute favorite place to come for a weekend brunch. They recently did renovations though and got rid of the best thing on the menu, the French Country sandwich. Bring it back please!!!! They also changed the regular fries from really skinny and crispy fries that were amazing to not great thicker, soggy fries. Those things were my main reasons for coming! They also changed the service during brunch to sit down service which was very slow even though the restaurant was not busy at all the day we came. We had to wait a very long time for our drinks, food, and check. I will no longer be coming for brunch/lunch and will consider coming for dinner to check out that menu.
google avatar

Hendie H.

Yelp
EXTREMELY overpriced fiasco. We waited OUTSIDE for 20+ minutes in the Texas sun, just to stand at the podium to give our order. $40+ dollars for (2) pancakes, (2) strips of bacon, scrambled eggs w/cheese, potato clippings and apple juice. Totally NOT worth it. I WOULD NOT recommend ‼
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
.. ~$16 for a small turkey club and some fries on the side?...no thank you Honestly, this place is definitely more about the aesthetic. Very cute sunday brunch vibes... thats it. There's a lot of seating options inside and outside. You order at the front and seat yourself. You can do better
google avatar

Sreyashree B.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this place. The food, the drinks, the decor - everything was 10/10. K have been to this place twice, one with a big group and one with a friend and both times the place was perfect. The brunch has a lot of options and the food is delicious. Can't wait to come back for the third time.

C K.

Yelp
They've updated the menu and now have a full bar. These are positive changes, to be sure. The only glaring omission--they could benefit from the lamb burger, which is a signature dish. The chief problem--they are consistently out of important items on a very small menu. This time, we dined in the 7's, but still there was no pizza or hamburger buns. They're always out of something, and it presents real challenges for their customers. It's ingrained in their culture and has been for years. But it strikes me as terrible management and planning. Also, they should have a Benedict for brunch. It's lazy to leave it at scrambled eggs. Finally, there are still children causing absolute mayhem throughout the patio. A modicum of consideration and supervision wouldn't be the worst thing.
google avatar

Yelp
Found this cute brunch place on a walk around rice village! Great ambiance with a lot of outdoor seating (so bring your fur friends!). The food was pretty good but I have no idea how much it was per entree since they didn't have prices on their menu... For 2 breakfast items, a chia seed pudding, a latte, and an apple juice, our tots came out to ~$60. Not totally unreasonable for the area. The food was delicious and service was really fast. I would definitely swing by this place again if I was in the area.
google avatar

Salil O.

Yelp
Good place. I always get their chocolate chip cookie if I go here. So I've never tried their actual food but based on the prices, it seems very expensive and I'm not sure if I would dine here, but I should try it out sometime for thoroughness. Their chocolate chip cookie is easily the best in houston. It's so satisfying and such a great flavor. I often will come here on a cheat day of my workout and take the cookie back home and down it in a glass of milk. Soooo good! Pictured is not the amazing cookie sadly but ice cream. Which was also great.
google avatar

Lorraine I.

Yelp
Environment and vibe five stars But the food was mediocre And you do not have many selections The outdoor dining reminded me everything back in LA Service is wonderful as well.
google avatar

Cassandra M.

Yelp
Super cute place in West University. Right next to Tiny's Milk & Cookies for a yummy dessert. You walk in and there is a giant chalkboard menu on the wall. You order and pay at the counter, they give you a number and then you seat yourself. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I had the Cubano (rosemary ham, pork carnitas, swiss, pickles with a side of zesty aioli) with fries and it was very good.
google avatar

Jay T.

Yelp
Let's begin by mentioning the location is in rice village. The area is nice and a clean environment. You order at the entrance. It's easy and they'll hand you the # tag. The coffee latte here is great that I ordered a 2nd one! The service here aren't great. Seems like a bunch of workers fooling around. My coffee did not come out before my entrees. They totally forgot about the coffee, utensils, and the to go boxes. Food here is 5/5 Service here is 3/5
google avatar

Arianna L.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Wednesday and they weren't super busy! We sat ourselves but were quickly served after ordering. The place is super cute and perfect for the spring with fresh flowers at each of the tables and ambient lighting. I ordered an avocado toast ($18) and my friends ordered a pancake with bacon ($18) and the bagel lox ($16). The avocado toast is served with either bacon or smoked salmon and the avocado comes with tomatoes and I believe honey and paprika mixed into the avocado. My friends bagel with really good too and the pancakes were large and fluffy. My only complaint is the lack of pricing on the menu and that the food is probably overpriced. Few parking spaces but overall I would recommend if you're willing to spend!

Rebecca P.

Yelp
So disappointed! The renovation has left my entire family saddened. What used to be a wonderful, charming neighborhood restaurant is now just another basic sit down. We loved being able to come for lunch and order at the counter as well as come for dinner and have a nice sit down meal. I'm not sure where management got the information that their patrons wanted a change considering there are other reviews similar to mine and it was always bustling with lots of different groups of folks eating. Please bring back the old arrangement! I'm afraid we won't be coming back as often or at all anymore since these changes. Bummer.

Gyorgy M.

Yelp
The much anticipated renovation changed not only the atmosphere but the quality of service. What was once an easy place to get lunch quickly has been turned into a long ordeal. Tables are empty despite people having to wait. Rather than ordering and having the ability to eat at your own pace, you are now forced to wait for service, then wait to order, and finally wait for a check. An attempt to make this more upscale has left a lot of time pressed customers with the only option to take food to go. On top of the new fries are not as tasty as the previous fries, that were not as soggy and much tastier. Removal of the Cesar salad on the weekend and the limited menu is also a let down. Although the revamped seating is nice the overall changes are a disappointment.
google avatar

Lilly F.

Yelp
Quite pleasant experience despite the review rating. The wait staff and cashier were nice. So appeared to be annoyed but given the atmosphere I can understand why. They were still nice when serving our table. Seating is limited and there is no one managing the intake crowd just keep it flowing and let the customers figure it out. I had a turkey burger with smoke goat cheese and sweet potato fries. Delicious highly recommend getting it. The meat is ground in house and cheese smoked in their open wood burning smoker. They give you a good portion on fries to fill you up. The food portions to me is just right. Enough to hold you till dinner and leave room for dessert. You can see it from the bar. Did not see a soda machine. So don't go looking for a coke or Dr. pepper this place serves water and fresh juices, beers and liquors. But there made be a soda tap I didn't ask. Definitely get you a fresh baked cookie even cold it was still moist and melting. I'm a little upset I didn't get more.

Yelp
Tiny's is hands-down one of my favorite brunch spots in Houston. After countless visits, I can attest that it is a very good, though note it's pricey. It is a darling restaurant, and the food is just delicious--from breakfast entrees to pastries, they have it down. The restaurant us upscale and really cute--I felt like I was at a garden party. Compared to Tiny Boxwoods (nearby in River Oaks), this place is very similar, but it feels like they have more seating. For brunch, my go-to entree is the mother's breakfast, which comes with eggs, mini biscuits, and bacon with jam. I've tried almost all of the pastries, and they're all amazing--the cinnamon rolls are delightful, and you MUST order a chocolate chip cookies. The chocolate chip cookies are seriously some of the best cookies in town. If you just want to grab a coffee and a pastry and don't want to sit down, you can grab them at the window at Tiny's Milk & Cookies on the side of the restaurant. I've written a lot about brunch, but I've also been to Tiny's for dinner and to their special event private room for a baby shower, and those were great too. For lunch, my favorite item is the turkey burger and sweet potato fries. Like I said above, the restaurant is pricey, to the point that they don't put prices on the chalkboard menu at brunch. But...it's still my favorite brunch spot.

Jean R.

Yelp
If it ain't broke.......? The remodel is terrible! What used to be a charming neighborhood bistro is now a bar with no appeal. I am so disappointed that they ruined what was once a unique, family friendly lunch and dinner staple for me and my circle. The creative director was incredibly misguided here. Bad art and liquor replaced what used to be a lovely display of pastries behind the counter. Why velvet seating in the entry with unsightly tables? So incredibly disappointing all around. The Tiny's culture is not one of swanky late night cocktails. It's cookies, kids, community, and attention to detail. Pick a lane....
google avatar

Haley M.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite places ever, but after today I'm not so sure. It's now a waiter/service instead of order at the counter and while this isn't a huge deal, I do feel it was a little slow- although it was busy, so this is forgivable. What is NOT forgivable is that they got rid of the white wine mojito which was always SO crisp and refreshing! Why?!??!!! The crushed ice in that was the best and made it extra special, so if you bring it back don't forget to use that ice. Today I felt like this restaurant was nothing that special aside from its above average ambiance....but even then, the grass lawn needed mowing- it used to look nicer. Idk if there is new management along with this redesign or not, but it feels like a different place and I doubt I'll be back.

Yelp
Located in the neighborhood. Small private parking lot with limited parking. Nice patio dining and there's a boutique and nice little garden. There's a little outdoor coffee/ice cream pastry shop called mill and cookies that is owned by the restaurant. Anyway we came for a baby shower in the private room. Nice room with private door leading outside or enter from inside. It's across from the ladies bathroom. The food served at the party was vegetarian but delicious. Basil broccoli salad, fries, mushroom risotto, roasted brussel sprouts and spiral pasta and cheese. Everything was amazing. Service was great. We had 1 server but he was attentive and stayed in the room unless he had to get the food to serve us. Overall loved the experience. I definitely want to go check out the regular menu as well.

Yelp
Service is great you can take things to go coffee fresh pastries. Great local neighborhood spot !

Yelp
My friend really loves Tinys No 5 and we love Tinys Milk & Cookies, so we decided to venture over for lunch one day! We showed up at 11:30pm thinking if we were early enough, there wouldn't be so many people! Wrong! The parking lot was already full and there was a line to order! But the line cleared later in the afternoon, past the lunch rush! Maybe it's a better idea to come for a late lunch next time? There's plenty of seating though and the food comes out fairly quickly! Just getting through the line to place an order takes while cause there's only one person manning the orders and register! The menu is also on a chalk board inside so we had to go in and take a picture of it while we waited; not the most convenient cause people were standing in line at that exact location! Menu was hard to find online and pull up cause there is absolutely no reception in the area! Outdoor seating has a little grassy area for the kids to run around as well! Interior is super chic and coastal modern with wicker seating! Lots of open windows and natural lighting. I believe they also had a private room for larger private parties, if necessary! Now, why does this place have such horrible reviews? I found the food to be really good and they definitely use quality ingredients. My first thought was that the avocado toast was pricey and super small, but it easily filled me up! The egg was cooked perfectly, over easy but not so underdone that it was too runny! There was quite a good amount of cold smoked salmon - portion well so that you have enough for the whole avocado toast! I ordered it with a side of fries and it was a large bowl of crispy fries! Everyone else loved their dishes as well; there was not one complaint. And best of all, we were able to walk to the window next door for ice cream for dessert! Try that new pistachio ice cream; it is delicious, as was the sangria! Can't leave that one out! It was my first time here but definitely not my last! We are already making plans for weekend brunch as we speak!

Yelp
After living in West U just a few houses from this spot, I must say it's an amazing amenity to have in our neighborhood! I always find myself comparing other restaurants avocado toast to Tiny's. There isn't one any better, to be perfectly honest. I love their London Fog (hot tea beverage) and ALL their pastries. I've had the chia seed pudding for breakfast as well and can say it's delicious! Lunch is always good with their salads. Their burgers are soooo good! And the cookie skillet is the best I've ever had! Closed on Mondays and it's hard to start my week off without being able to stop in, but at least their walk-up cookie shop is right next door.

Yelp
Overall nice place , nice staff . 1) high food prices and small portions . I kinda always leave a bit hungry 2) they need to service tables .... When I tip , yes I'm generous at the cashier but that should include table services . Thanks

Yelp
Great little place, atmosphere was very nice and service was great. Had a business meeting there and did coffee with snacks. Very nice spot!

Laila F.

Yelp
Very poor service, since the renovations this place is not the same. It's so sad! Not only has management changed but the servers look severely stressed and severely understaffed but I didn't mind waiting 40 minutes for my food, My waiter was very kind although she had tears in her eyes due to the stress I'm assuming. She still took very good care of my family's order. This place needs some better management and more servers for the amount I paid for this so sadly poor service! Please do better. I used to love this place for lunch/ brunch but this isn't the same restaurant I'm used to before. I wish the owner would pay more attention to these reviews because business hasn't been the same.

Roger S.

Yelp
Returned for the first time in three years based on bad experiences in the past with food quality. (Multiple episodes of food poisoning) Ordered chia seed pudding and unfortunately tasted like rotten dairy. Surprised that the very pretty manager was clueless as to not even offer to refund the cost of the dish. Exercise caution. The food quality is questionable.

Yelp
Tinys No 5 is a relaxed and yet upscale brunch locale. Every time we've gone to eat here, it has been a bustling, happy place. The coffee is hot and strong. There is a self serve island that has coffee refills, creamer, and sweeteners. One stands in line to order before securing a table. They will provide a number on a stand to place on the table so they can locate your table to deliver the food. The Southside is a mound of scrambled eggs and cheese with tomatillo sauce and two warm tortillas. The sauce is what makes this dish. Definitely ask for extra sauce. The sauce is flavorful, but not spicy. The tortilla soup was not my favorite. It had a definite chili flavor that overpowered everything else. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Olive H.

Yelp
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but it's really gone downhill. We shared a few plates last weekend and the okra appetizer was awful. The tempura breading was so thick it was like eating a funnel cake with okra bits tucked in. The fries (used to be the best and the only fries I would order anywhere) were way over cooked, bottom-of-the-fryer crispy bits. The watercolor was good. The service was terrible. Our waiter meandered around aimlessly most of the time, and I had to flag him down to get his attention for anything. Flies everywhere, which is always the case, but if you're going to have flies have good food and service. We won't be back anytime soon.

Yelp
I'm a regular brunch Sunday patron at Tiny's and I LOVE the Southside, however, there's NEVER fresh squeezed OJ. I arrived early today, June 9, and had high hopes it would be available. Nope. No OJ. Approximately 2 months ago, I sat at the bar and there were oranges in a container, but was told no. Owner- manager: I don't understand your business model. If you know you're going to run out before noon, why wouldn't you make more? Don't you want to maximize profit? Also, one register is not enough. The line moves too slow and we are stuck outside in the heat. Shout out to Juanita. She's wonderful.

Yelp
I would definitely rate this higher when I actually go in to dine in. But I stumbled upon this place while looking for some breakfast (but it was 1pm) on my way to work. Getting there, their parking lot was kind of chaotic because of the small entrance/exit drive way they have. It was packed and 2-3 cars were trying to leave the lot and I had to wait until all of them exited before I could pull in and park myself. I went in and ordered to-go. Their menu is written on a blackboard right as you enter so you can read it before you order. They operate like a cafe where you order at their counter then seating is first come first serve so if you have a party of 4+ people then it may be best to have 1 or 2 people find a table to save while the others order for them during busy times. I ordered a avocado toast with smoked salmon added. Their decor was very rustic yet modern touches, and their outdoor lawn seating was gorgeous. Everything was so instagram worthy to take photos! To-go service was quick! Took about 5-10 minutes for me to get my food and head out to work. And it was absolutely delicious! It was very oily in the box, not sure if oil was drizzled on top or where if it came from the sun-dried tomatoes with the egg on top. The toast was delicious and definitely would order again. Only bummer is there were no utensils or napkins in the bag so packaging was not on par for to-go. Its great for girls brunch or a couples breakfast date place. And I'd love to come back to dine in one day with my girlfriends!

Yelp
Always a fantastic time. Great service & food. One of our favorite places to go for any event, date night, family dinner, etc.

Yelp
DISCLAIMER: the bagel and lox is in fact HALF a bagel and lox. I generally love Tinys but this was pretty annoying.

Yelp
They always over salt everything. I've complained over and over. Even when I ask for no salt on the food it is still covered in salt. I was told it was the owners fault. I don't think me or my West U friends will be eating there again. Service slow and just horrible Along with the food!!! Not worth the money.

Yelp
Honest, simple food. First time in Houston...had to give this one a try because my friend is the chef here. I was shocked to see how packed it was and how many people were lined up to get in. They have a very nice outside patio seating area and cozy dining room. Ate here for brunch...they do counter service where you order your food and drinks and take a marker to a table of your choice; the waitstaff will bring you your food as it's ready. The baked goods here are exquisite...I reccommend the creme filled brioche donut and cinnamon roll. Breakfast items are executed well and very tasty. Be sure to come early to avoid the lines!

Yelp
The remodel is awful! I use to come here about once a week with my kids but not anymore. You use to be able to walk up and order then sit down and have the food brought quickly and could leave as soon as you were finished. This was a plus with kids. Now, lunch takes SO much longer with sit down service. The remodel does not make it nicer inside either. I know other people who like the old Tiny's more. Also, they got rid of the French Country which was my favorite sandwich. Very sad and very curious how this will impact this location since I notice many other regulars aren't happy either even if Tiny's is trying to act like this remodel is great and beautiful- it just isn't.

Yelp
This place is located next to the famous Milk & Cookies Ice cream shop that is just phenomenal! The ambiance was nice and the restaurant was clean with great customer service. This is a place for breakfast with girls or the family. The vibe is truly laid back..at least during brunch time. The pancakes and bacon were good, but I would've expected more pieces with those humongous cakes they serve. The highlight for me was the sangria..it was phenomenal. The only reason they didn't get five stars was our table wobbled and my pancakes were very dry, but next time I visit I'll try a different dish.
