Where to Eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Houston | Eater Houston

"Housed inside one of Houston’s Michelin-key restaurants, this restaurant will offer a short-and-sweet a la carte menu on Christmas Day. Start with smoked French onion dip served with garlic-herb pita or New England clam chowder infused with smoky bacon before delving into dishes like a roasted, herb-crusted half-rack of lamb with broccolini and orzo or pan-seared Chilean sea bass with sweet potato gnocchi. End the night with Tipping Point’s warm Texas bread pudding served with espresso bread pudding or Santa’s Cookies — warm chocolate chip and sea salt cookies served with a cold glass of milk. Reservations are encouraged." - Brittany Britto Garley

Located in the Hotel Zaza..the Tipping Point was a nice way to celebrate an early Valentine’s. Their food was tasty and excellent portions(not too big not too small). We loved their Aquachile appetizer, surf &turf, and chocolate decadence cake. The drinks were delicious too. As far as seating you can sit at the bar, at a booth, table indoors, or outdoors by the pool. On certain nights they have live music. Overall we had a really great night.

Stayed at Hotel ZaZa and the food was top tier. Ordered the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken with Mashed Potatoe, Green Beans. The Salmon, and The Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Everything was yummy. The chicken breast was perfectly seasoned, and was juicy. The cocktails were delish, and on Saturday night they had a live band, nice relaxing touch to dinner.

The Tipping Point is the perfect name for this restaurant because you’ll reach your tipping point after the poor service and mediocre food. We waited one hour for the food and they forgot our appetizer so that came 20 min after the entrees. The calamari was gray in color and had zero taste. The other food was just ok and that’s after eating when hungry (everything tastes good when you’re hungry). The soft drinks were awful..you take one sip and opt for water instead awful. The service was poor and overall experience was disappointing. My family and I will never return and I do not recommend anyone waste their time. There are other restaurants in the same parking lot so I would recommend those (Guadalajara and Circos) if you want to eat and leave happy

We were a big group and they don't give separate checks. I went to the bar to order Brussel sprouts. They brought them quite quickly. Who knows why. The live music was too loud, making it hard to talk. The dressing brought with the Brussel sprouts was minimal. Perhaps they would have been tastier with more dressing. I asked a waiter to give me a box to go and more dressing. The serving was generous. I never received either. I had another waiter take the leftovers away. I probably wouldn't have eaten them later. They were dry. The place is not cheap but I put into consideration that there's a band and no cover charge.

Google
What a disappointment. We waited over 5 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Took over an hour to get out food. Out waitress was extremely rude and I even caught her cursing with the other employees. Food was cold. Several guests were complaining about the wait time this restaurant is in an beautiful hotel but doesn't live is to its standards being in hotel Zaza. Would not recommend

Google
Ambiance is great, I loved the design, furniture etc, very ‘European’. But food is overpriced and we had to wait a lot to get it, and restaurant was almost empty. Service was a bit annoying. They brought us a check even though we haven’t asked for it, and again, it’s not like restaurant is full and there are people to be seated so they are trying to rush us. No, it was empty and they still brought us a check.

Nice brunch menu and great service from Levin. Recommend for ambiance, food and location.

Google
Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Food terrible. Avocado stack was purée avacado spread from a container on two frozen hash brown patties. And yes I asked my waiter and he said yes frozen. How hard is it to chop a fresh potato. I was appalled. The devil egg trio was just ok. Great mimosa.

Yelp
We went to Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace during a work conference at Hotel Zaza! It was beautiful. The food took a little time to come out but it might have been because of the time of day. My lamb was a bit overcooked (but it wasn't bad). The Brussels sprouts were HUGH! The flavor was good and the texture was crunchy. If I am ever in Houston, I would definitely go again earlier in the day.

Yelp
Went to a food tasting event recently and got to try a broad cross section of menu items and desserts. Star of the show was the spare ribs. Deep layers of flavor. Yum! Lots of misses. Chicken was a miss. Mashed potatoes were chunky. Grits were very nice as were the Brussels sprouts and brownie. Key lime and chocolate raspberry tart were a miss. Prices on the wine list were a miss. Crab linguine lacked a cohesive theme. Capers were more a distraction than an addition. Calamari was a miss. Bread and compound butters were a miss. The menu needs work but the service was on point.

Yelp
It was okay. Nothing crazy good. There something for everyone but its not exactly amazing food. The drink i got the mocktail pineapple one. It was extremely sour. I wouldve gave a 1 but the service was excellent. My serve she was had glasses and black hair she was amazing. She redid my drink and added sweetner, she also checked up on us and overall did amazing with service. The place also looked nice and modern

Yelp
So first of all, William took great care of us!! I had the shrimp and corn bisque and it was amazing. So many flavors and such a nice warm burn going down the throat. My wife then had the Snapper and I had the short ribs. Delicious!! We finished with some Crème Brûlée which was excellent and had a hint of citrus to it. Oh, our drinks were great! She had a Dark Chocolate Espresso Martini which was so good she licked the glass I had the Audrey Hepburn Timeless Rita which was more than just a twist on a classic. It was very tasty and my wife enjoyed the included slice of Dragon Fruit. It was a great night, William was a great server and our Stay-cation is off to a great start!!

Yelp
I know this place is only 3 stars, but some of the reviews must have been done by their friends because the quality of this place is quite poor and a few of the reviews make the food sound way better than it is. I'm staying at the hotel and had two meals here today. Both were pretty bad. The oatmeal for breakfast was watery and very low quality. For lunch, the Caesar salad looks like it came from a gas station. The lettuce was low quality and the tiny shrimp was either the cheapest frozen shrimp or the seafood buyer just didn't care. These are not complicated meals and they couldn't even get those right. That was my last meal here. They clearly just don't care about the quality of the food they are serving.

Yelp
So first and foremost Jodi in the bar is absolutely amazing! She's always got a great attitude and provides sensational service! Aria at the host stand is due for a promotion cause she's a rockstar as well! The interior design is very Norman Rockwell/20's Americana which is a vibe. The Caesar salad could have been much better in terms of dressing. I just felt like the dressing was really bland honestly. Will try something else next time but will TOTALLY BE BACK!

Yelp
Pro: The food was amazing at least the plate I ordered was deliciously made. The live band was lots of fun and played variety of tunes to everyone's liking. Cons: service was extremely slow and waited a good while to receive the drink I ordered. If your not trying to break the bank I wouldn't recommend coming here for drinks as I ordered 2 gin and tonics with one doubled up with the best gin which ended up costing $65 ( Yes you heard that right). Given the Occasion with my husband and we didn't mind. Also, it was very hot inside. Conclusion: would I go back? Most likely but in cooler weather.

Yelp
I met a few yelpers here after an event, as we were all having some late night hunger pangs. This restaurant/bar is located inside the Zaza hotel. While they have their guest parking at the hotel premises, be very careful not to park in other lots that belong to the restaurants in that area. Towing is strictly enforced. The service was fine and the food was better than I expected. I ordered the open face steak melt with french fries. The sandwich was very good with cheese melting away and the fries were golden brown and crispy. Another notable thing that we ordered was the lobster roll with french fries. It was really good. There was plenty of meat/lobster and the sandwich was packed and stacked. It also was accompanied with golden brown crispy French Fries. This was my first time having a lobster roll sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The bar was full and there was music playing in the lobby. It was loud and there was plenty of seating area. We should have a good time on our subsequent visits.

Pagal Mama ..

Yelp
Excellent go-to place for a quick breakfast or lunch meeting or even happy hour with colleagues. Great food, pleasant ambiance and friendly service. Almost always thrilled with their attentive hospitality!

Yelp
Let me first say that I'm a fan of Hotel Zaza, because it always seems to be the hot spot - the place to people watch and be seen! I was really excited to check out the new location, mainly the bar, but I was deeply disappointed. The valet and host were great, but that was about it. The hotel lobby didn't look inviting or lush, and the bar definitely wasn't poppin. It was hubby and I on a double date, so we tried to make the best of it, but the drinks were expensive and SUPER sweet! Keep in mind that we all ordered something different, too! Anyway, I told the bartender, and he asked me what else he could make me. I decided to stick to a traditional drink and not go with one of the house specials - a Moscow mule, and it was okay. Anyway, the reason for the 1 star rating is because the bartenders were rude. After the guy offered to make me something else, he and the other bartender started speaking in Spanish (I'm nowhere fluent, but I know they were complaining about me). In an establishment like that, I would expect they would have better manners than that. After my last review, I had the pleasure of returning to Tipping Point as a guest of Victor's, the Director of Food & Beverage. I have to say that he and his team were more than accommodating, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting - the live band definitely livened things up (pun intended)! I had the campachena, which was refreshing, but (I can't believe I'm saying this) the shrimp was a bit too big/chunky for this dish. It's like a ceviche, so I think it would be better with smaller chunks of shrimp, crab, etc... The filet was good, but I'd rather go to a steakhouse if I'm craving a steak, and the red snapper was a bit fishy and dry. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake, which looked like leftovers (sorry, but the presentation was lacking, for me), and it wasn't my favorite. Overall, the food was okay, but I can't say that there was any particular dish that left me looking forward to return. I wish I had a better review, because I really appreciated the chef for coming out and checking in with his customers.

Yelp
One of my birthday surprises from my husband this year was dinner at Tipping Point - he knows I love trying new places, and I like good food. So, when we drove out to Memorial on my birthday, I was confused thinking he was taking me to Memorial City Mall or our typical Anniversary place for my birthday. Needless to say, my furrow was beginning to form, but then we pulled into the drive way of the brand new Hotel Zaza! I was excited now (furrow released) - the Zaza in the Museum Heights is where we spent out wedding night, so the Zaza has a special place in our hearts. We arrive and the decor catches me by surprise -it's doesn't have the "sultry" vibe of the Zaza in the Museum District rather it has a Craftsman-type vibe - very reflective of the neighborhood. It's pleasing. We are seated and immediately order drinks: a Manhattan and a chardonnay - both are yum! We then opt for a salad as our appetizer and I'm pleasantly surprised to find Brazil nuts and cranberries in my salad, and I especially like that the dressing isn't creamy! For our main entrees, we had a TOUGH time choosing among the Filet, scallops, lamb, short-rib, chicken, and the salmon. Well, we have salmon often, so I opted for the scallops, and he opted for the lamb loin. The presentation and taste was nothing short of fulfilling! My scallops were accompanied by a lovely squash and apple puree with a bed of quinoa. My husband's lam was delicious - - it arrived with cauliflower rice and some yummy parsley-type yogurt. Writing this is making my mouth water! Then, it was time for dessert, and we opted for profiteroles, and I was fully expecting little puffs with small amounts of cream in them. That is not what showed up. What showed up were GIANT profiteroles with a scoop of ice-cream in between each shell! I'm not sure if there were lavender flavors/oils or something in it, but this dessert was somehow both delicious and calming - strange combo, I know. Just. Yum. I am considering returning just for dessert and a coffee (you know when I'm feeling the need for some awesome dessert). I know I'll be back - birthday or not. Glad there is a 2nd Zaza in town!

Yelp
Omg! This was a great place to drink and eat! Delicious martinis and appetizers! Be sure to order the roasted Brussel sprouts...they were so good! And the onion soup was such a yummy savory/sweet flavor! I highly recommend this restaurant as well as the hotel Zaza!

Sara N.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and ambiance at Tipping Point! Would recommend it to anyone whether celebrating an occasion or just want a chill vibe with great food! There was live music (not overly loud to take away from the atmosphere) and dimmed lighting making it relaxing. My family had cocktails, lamb chops, braised short ribs, mashed potatoes, carrots, and brownie a la mode for dessert. William is an excellent server!

Vickie W.

Yelp
My husband and I dined as an early Valentine outing! The service and food were great! The Valentine Cocktail looked better than it tasted.

Yelp
I have been wanting to visit the new hotel zaza in memorial city, when I finally did I decided to have lunch at the Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace which is inside the hotel on the ground floor. It has a lounge experience to it and a very lovely view overlooking the pool area . I am so happy I do not have to drive downtown again to the other hotel zaza location. A lovely new spot to the memorial city Restaurants in Houston. You will want to try almost everything on the menu. I had the buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The chicken was so tasteful, dry on the outside and juicy on the inside. So yummy. Awesome customer service.

Yelp
We love HOTEL ZAZA! So many unique and cool features. Fun candy options while checking in, unique pingpong table, awesome and unique decor, And a free room upgrade! We LOVE our room with a balcony! Supper Review: We purchased the eats package, so it was enjoyable to just go downstairs to eat. My husband and I shared the salad in the picture and the 16 ounce New York strip. The mashed potatoes were almost to puréed... A little bit strange appearance but good flavor. The salad was the best. The meal doesn't come with any bread or anything. The steak was OK... If you want a good steak you should just go to Saltgrass though. :)

Yelp
Got room service from this place today. Almost threw up when I started the eat it before noticing the rotted black top of the ketchup bottle.

Yelp
I came here with a big group of Yelper's after the Warehouse 72 elite event. We were able to get a big party table together for more drinks and food. I got the crab cake and shared the lobster roll with a fellow yelper. It was pretty good I wasn't expecting it. I will definitely be back it is a cute date night spot also.

Nicole D.

Yelp
My family and I have been living at Hotel Zaza for the past week so we have eaten at the Tipping Point for 3 lunches and 1 dinner and we love the food and service. All the food I have tried and I've tried a lot has been delicious! The seafood options are very fresh and light and the pizza, burger and fries are just perfect. Prices are higher than some of the neighboring restaurants but the food is worth the price. The hostess, waiters, waitresses, bartenders and even the General Manager have all been outstanding making each dining experience exceptional. We will finally be moving into our new home soon but we will be back to the Tipping Point for future lunches and dinners.

Yelp
I've been a staunch patron of Hotel ZaZa restaurant, primarily The Monarch, for many years. I decided to patron the Tipping Point. The ambiance is quite luxurious. The staff is stellar. My family truly enjoyed the ordered my usual Lamb Lollipops which for me is quite filling, usually. Unfortunately, this time the portions were far less than expected. It was by far the most paltry portions I have ever seen? The size reminded me utero lambs? Fortunately I ordered a really nice portion of vegetables to fortify me. If this is any indication of future visits I may need to consider ending my love for the chops.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in for a Valentine's day to explore the hh menu. Nice choices available as far as food but the drink options were limited, no cocktails just wine and beer honestly. The ambiance and decor is really nice however the server at the bar brought my ticket right away without asking if i wanted anything else, it just seemed unprofessional and not customer service friendly. I may check out the other location.

Anne B.

Yelp
Quality of food was mediocre. The prices were high. Spent 53.00 on a small wedge salad (no protein), a mediocre calamari appetizer, and a glass of wine. I came home hungry.

Maris W.

Yelp
Stopped in for a Friday drink to check out the bar, which is not separate from the restaurant. I fully expected a separate, plush bar in a property of this calibre, in fact I was envisioning the lobby bar of the Four Seasons downtown which is large, comfortable and plush. Alas, It was impossible to converse, the noise level was off the charts. I can't even say if there was music playing because the crowd noise is what made interaction impossible. Every surface is hard and there is no sound absorbing anything in the room. At 4:00 the bar area was populated by convention women carrying swag and carrying on. We ordered two martinis which were good size and served cold, though we left our table to order at the bar because no server appeared in 15 mins. We asked for a bar menu which never came. When the bill came, it said one martini was $10 and the other $11 and the total was $28. When I questioned the math, the server who took my card said there is an upcharge on martinis that doesn't appear on the bill. I'm not complaining about the price, it is an expected price, just can't figure out that computer billing system. I give it two stars because the martini was pretty darn good, they used Skyy vodka. Not enough reason to return though.

Yelp
We came for brunch and ended up ordering burgers. We had the west coast burger and the pimento cheese burger. Both were good but you need a huge appetite to tackle the pimento cheese burger as it has ground brisket, egg, and bacon. The candied jalapeño were a pleasant surprise. The Brussel sprouts were divine and to top it all off the lotus flower mock-tail is very refreshing. The entire staff was very friendly and complimentary. Overall great experience.

Yelp
I came here to hang out with some friends. Per usual it is nice. I wasn't aware ZaZa had another location as I was kinda pissed I went downtown first. Nonetheless, the staff was courteous and I ordered a chicken wrap I believe. I wasn't expecting much but IT WAS THE BOMB! I would come here again just for that. I like the location right off of I10. I have not checked out the rooms. I'm glad it has its own flair different from the other location. Nice spot overall.

Yelp
Had a weekend stay with $100 food credit so decided to try out the restaurant. The restaurant at museum district was good but man this place needs help. I don't know if this is a corporate type menu but the food was just terrible. The service was good however, our server was good but I don't know if I'll ever trust his judgement on food with that suggestion of mac and cheese It saddens me to say the best food on the menu are the fries. We had the the ahi tuna tacos for starters which were pretty good, nothing to write home about. I ordered the crispy skin red snapper. The fish was overcooked and bland My date ordered the roasted chicken. I don't think I've ever sent anything back but that plate was just good awful. It was sent back for the salmon which from what I was told just ok. Also the mac and cheese is more of a soup with noodles than anything resembling mac and cheese. I do hope that turn this around
google avatar

Todd S.

Yelp
We had our son's bar Mitzvah at Zaza- the food was good, as was the whole experience. So naturally we had high expectations of the Tipping Point. My Lord, we couldn't have been more disappointed. The food was clearly not the same level. And the service? After ordering a soda, should I not expect it to come in 20 mins? It did beat the food, however, which came out piecemeal to our table. Oh and of course they forgot the appetizer. I didn't have the stamina to ask for it at that point, as it my be breakfast by then.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a business dinner one evening. Interior is really nice and well done decor, definitely on the higher end so dress accordingly. Service was spot on, recommended a wonderful bottle of wine from Napa valley. Started with the Ahi Tuna tacos and then followed up with the Shaved Caesar Salad. Both were really tasty. Also shared the Artisanal Cheese Selection and enjoyed it. If you are looking for a place with good food, drinks, and even a romantic flare for a date this is a great choice.

Yelp
Great place, highly encourage anyone to come here. Not your normal hotel bar, league of its own!

Tatiana S.

Yelp
Made reservations for Mother's Day brunch and reconfirmed to make sure they could accommodate our party of 14. After waiting TWENTY FIVE minutes, we we're finally seated in the middle of a passage way. Very disappointing.

Ruth A.

Yelp
the restaurants employee named marukha is sooo nice! she helped me with booking my reservation and she a great help! ive never received such good service from someone before ! amazing restaurant

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Excellent food. Great live music and cool bar. Had the tuna tacos then the red curry scallops. Perfect service. Ignore the bad reviews and try it yourself!

Yelp
My spouse and I came here last night to meet a group and we ordered one alcoholic drink. We stayed at this establishment for about two hours. We asked the waitress for the check to pay and we paid cash. After we paid, we kept socializing with our group for about 30 minutes or so, and when we got up to leave, the hostess at the front (skinny, Hispanic looking young girl) stopped us and asked if we paid for our bill??? Seriously?? I told her YES! We paid the waitress a while ago. We will not be coming back to this place again. She was working the front on December 21st - Saturday night. This was so tacky of her to think we would bail out without paying for ONE drink.
google avatar

Allison M.

Yelp
Food excellent. Ambience wonderful and enjoyed live music. Service great. Prices reasonable. Definitely recommend checking out. We went on a Saturday night and the place filled through the evening. There was live musicians who took requests and were a delight. Couples were dancing and singing along. We enjoyed cocktails, mexican Paloma with extra spice and they were made with fresh jalapeños and lime. Next, we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and it was better than expected. It wasn't your typical spinach and artichoke dip-which made it delicious. The dip was served in a Ramekin where the top cheese had melted and had a light crust to it. Dig in and you are greeted with ooey, gooey, melted, bubbly goodness with artichoke and spinach. Accompanying the dip was a pico sauce and sour cream. To enjoy the dip it was served with homemade tortilla chips and toasted bread- all which made the dish great. The wine portions are generous and we enjoyed the selection! The food came out hot, big portions, and cooked to perfection. I ordered the shrimp and blue crab appetizer with avocado mouse. Absolutely wonderful! So fresh, perfect balance and tasted devine! Also recommend you order the volcano salt fries as a side- they won't disappoint. They are shoestring fries that are hot and served in a cone dish. My husband enjoyed the fried crispy chicken served with the cheeses mash and green beans with bacon. He was happy with his choice. The fried chicken had a honey pepper sauce that was a sweet and spicy accompaniment and was an elevated home style dish. This place is located in the first level of hotel zaza and has a view of the pool area. The restrooms were clean and the design fitting for the hotel.
google avatar

Lindsay R.

Yelp
The food is bad. Really bad. Really, really bad. It hurts my soul to have paid so much for such bad food. My group of three tried a handful of items all of which were so bland, we couldn't eat them. We asked for salt but the flavor profiles were so off, it didn't help. Service was sub par - multiple waitresses serving us and none really knew what was going on. You'll get better food, prices and service walking across the parking lot to Ciro's or Guadalajara.
google avatar

Leo N.

Yelp
The meat on my lobster roll was frozen and still stuck together. I ordered this with high hopes since it was a seasonal menu dish but when I got it, the whole dish was disappointing and cold: the fries, the toast, and especially the lobster. Half way through eating it, I found pieces of the meat crumpled and stuck together, still frozen. The only place this has going for them are their ambiance and service. Skip the food.
google avatar

Tracy N.

Yelp
Recommend for larger group, not date night or 2-3 people wanting to connect in conversation. Was pretty loud, house band playing inside. So sat outside by the pool to avoid the noise. Service wasn't that great, think it was bit out of the way for inside server so a delay. Drinks were ok and food was so-so. Nothing major to rave about. However if you're just hanging out and not wanting to talk too much then think this would be a good place. The inside is pretty nice and would have been fine for more of a larger group partying.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
Came here this past weekend for a bachelorette party since our party had a room at the hotel. I think our group was def underwhelmed especially for being in a nicer hotel. We had to flag down our waiter a few times and the restaurant was not busy at all. The food was average to say the least. I did enjoy the campechana as an appetizer but was underwhelmed with my entree along with my friend. When the bill came out, our waiter told us that he could not do separate bills. Something I feel like he should have informed our group At the beginning of our dinner. He told us the only thing he could do was take our payments but each card had to be split into equal amounts. Aside from that he charged the wrong entrees on the different tabs. It was just a lot of confusion going on and he was not helpful. Our group left unimpressed with the food and even more so the service. We expected a more welcoming experience and were all ready to just leave dinner.
google avatar

Maureen S.

Yelp
This is upbeat but loud. Hard to hear each other talk. The drinks were okay but have much better elsewhere. We got the cheese plate ($17) and it had 3 small pieces of cheese (almost embarrassing). The product needs to be improved. Wine prices are high but service is good.

Alexis P.

Yelp
Ordered a burger from here and the bread was burnt and seemed like it had been sitting out the whole day. Also the cheese was definitely expired it tasted sour. I had to spit it out immediately. The French fries were stuck together as well. Overall everything must've been frozen and nothing was fresh. I could give them zero stars. Do not recommend!!

Yelp
I recently moved to Houston, and while in transition wanted places nearby to dine and unwind. The Chicken Caesar salad is my go to dish, and it's delicious. Live music on the weekends, the outdoor pool bar and patio add to the ambiance. This place has become a favorite and frequent stop. Every staff member is professional, friendly and attentive; from valet to hostesses, to servers to bartenders. Whether visiting, or living in the area, I highly recommend and think you will enjoy your experience.

Yelp
The service was slow Our group waited one and a half hours to be served . The food was cold when it finally came . They were short handed .
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
Overpriced and a silly menu. My ribeye was undercooked and easy to fatty. My friends Mahi Mahi were both "fishy". The wedge salad was great though.
google avatar

Sandra B.

Yelp
The service was a excellent. We had the chicken piccata and the crispy snapper both were delicious. The manager came and asked how we were doing. The restaurant was set up very lovely!! We will be back!!

Tammy C.

Yelp
The hotel and apartments are lovely. Some apartment residents (including my husband and me) are part of the "Platinum VIP" program which includes a house charge account among other supposed perks. We have lived here for almost one year, have frequented the restaurant, and have even hosted a seminar at the hotel. Food quality and service at the restaurant has been steadily going downhill. On my most recent visit, the same server whom has taken care of me many times asked me and my guest for a credit card to start a tab to have dinner. I explained that I am a resident and that I have a house account. The server insisted and took the card of my guest. Very poor. I then spoke with Victor, the manager whom announced to me that this is policy, that people walk out, and that he works more than 60 hours a week in this hotel and doesn't know me. A recommendation...perhaps managers should take one of those 60 hours per week and use that time to familiarize themselves with the very few so called "platinum vip" residents, or spend some time in the kitchen that is clearly struggling, or take a customer service class.

Yelp
The food is good quality and fresh. Unfortunately the short menu has not been changed in the last 2 years. It makes impossible to become a continuous customer. Not all but Most of waiters are rude and slow. Another evening a female waiter forgot to bring the silverware. after waiting there for 10 minutes when asked she replied " I only have two hands". There is no bread or snacks , they will serve you only water While you are waiting for your order... disappointing for the price . Managers should consider a customer service training for the staff. I highly recommend the bartenders services . Stay away from the tables if you want a better experience in this place.

Yelp
Terrible service and bland food. We had a group of around 15 people (for whom we made reservations weeks in advance), and the restaurant was obviously not able to handle a group. It took 2.5 hours to get our food and the response when we kept asking, "you have a big group." Well, there was no one else in the restaurant. Literally not a single soul. We asked someone to to check on our food and we went back but never returned to our table with an update. Once we got our food it was gross. I ordered the ahi salad and didn't even finish it because my lettuce was wet and disgusting. I noticed many items around the table uneaten. Pitiful excuse for service and food.

Yelp
Hey all Foodies In Houston. Insane customer service from Front of House Ariana tonight! We were a large party for dinner and appreciate all you did to accommodate us and make us feel like VIP's! We will be back!
