The Best Desserts In London, According To Claire Ptak - London - The Infatuation

"“This restaurant…their tiramisu is so excellent. [Dalla is] this wonderful little place. The chef is Canadian and Italian, and he worked at this amazing pasta shop in Shoreditch and at P. Franco for a long time, and then opened his own place. It's just fresh pastas every day, a few sides, a few meats, a fish—very classic, but so excellent. It has a knowing, east London edge to it. His tiramisu is so perfect and soft and not too big. It’s just the right amount of coffee. It's boozy. It's really, really nice.”" - brennan carley

Wonderful, 5 star experience 🥰 A big thank you for Martina and her team for making a glutenfree and vegan tiramisu cake for my sister's birthday. It was just perfect and sooo delicious! 😍😍 Thank you very much again 🥰

I visited this store earlier and ordered a double espresso lungo and a maritozzo. The staff were kind and even cleaned my table before serving, which I appreciated. However, I was served a double espresso instead of a lungo (at least the coffee tasted good). The real disappointment was the maritozzo which was hard instead of fluffy, and the “freshly-whipped” cream was frozen in the middle, so I couldn’t eat it. The staff noticed I wasn’t very happy, but no one asked if everything was alright, which left me a bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to my order.

Had been really looking forward to going here, but the tiramisu was.....ok. A bit bland if I'm honest. £8+ for the small, £10+ slightly less small. (2x drinks, 2x tiramisu, one pre-made & a cannoli = £31) You choose the layers; type of biscuit, flavour of coffee and the 'cream'. Unlimited toppings was very limited to fruit or chocolate drops. Seating was awful, hard wooden patio chairs and tiny tables. My iced coffee was tiny. Staff were pleasant. Would I go again? No. Sainsbury's have a much nicer version for just £3.

Mediocre experience, low quality servis, very expensive (they also charge me 1,20 for make my coffe decaf). There is definitely better places where to have a break fast in this center

I’m leaving this review here but I’m not sure if it’s the same place, as it doesn’t seem to match the other photos. Today I visited the one in Westfield London and it was one of the worst experiences ever. I’m Italian and vegan; I know what tiramisu tastes like, and this “porridge & cream pot” can’t be called tiramisu. Don’t tell me it’s because it’s vegan; I make vegan tiramisu as well and my omnivore friends can’t taste the difference with the non-vegan one. This aside, I was baffled to be charged £9.90 for a small pot like that. I was expecting it to be dressed with fruit or something, but no, we were just given the pots and dismissed quite rudely. Because yes, the cherry on top was the “fantastic” customer service. A robotic, numb girl who treated us as we were bothering her and her coworker. She barely spoke and never smiled or did anything remotely aligned with good customer service. If you charge people £10 for a small pot of porridge and cream, at least try harder. All my excitement went down the drain very fast. Never again, sorry! UPDATE following the owner's reply: this review is absolutely intended for your business; it might be a different branch but the logo on the cup proves it's you, so my feedback remains valid. I must say, from your reply I understand many things, first of all the way you train your staff. How can you justify horrible and rude customer service with "shyness"?! These are two completely different things, and if someone's too shy to offer decent customer service, then it's not their cup of tea and should be doing something else. There are dozens of other less "shy" people who'd love to have a job that they'd do properly. Plus, on your website you say "Composed according to the customer’s tastes". Erm, where? We were given a pot, charged £10 and dismissed. No customisation offered. So I wonder. Do you customise only non-vegan pots? Because that should be specified. Otherwise, simply admit the girl who served us didn't do what the business promises. Secondly, you can use the finest oats in the world but the last time I checked, tiramisu is not made with oats. It's a fact. Do you make non-vegan tiramisu with oats as well? I'd be curious. You could bake vegan, gluten-free sponges, soaked them in coffee and add the cream. Being charged £10 for this "reinterpretation" of tiramisu, receiving bad customer service, and on top of that this response is the very definition of a joke. Never again, without being sorry this time. Don't bother reply, for me it ends here. SECOND UPDATE: I never saw the second reply from the business owner or manager, but here I am, 6 months later, coming across it by pure chance. I, very honestly, feel insulted on multiple levels. First, I never made any reference to the staff member's ethnicity, only to the poor customer service provided. And here you are, playing the race card, insinuating what, exactly? That I had a problem with the customer service offered because of their ethnicity? That "I don't accept it"? This is disgusting and petty. Secondly, what was my "real target", getting the money back? You're insulting me, again. Reviews exist to make businesses realise where they fail, and you failed from both product and customer service perspectives. That was my target. And guess what? I don't want your money, I never wanted your money, but I for sure will never want to have anything to do with you or your innovative takes on cakes. This review is here to stay and show the world how rude, arrogant, and terrible at dealing with customers you are, whoever you are. FAREWELL.

The food rating for this is particularly for the vegan version of the tiramisu, it was already prepared, it was a soy based with decaf coffee. The decaf coffee was lovely, and still flavourful, so much that I forgot that it was decaf, however I wish they did the same for soy, the taste wasn’t as muted as I would have liked it to be, perhaps an almond alternative (instead of soy) would work better? The service was lovely, she recommended adding pistachio on top, and I really enjoyed that.

Lovely service but £13.00 for a coffee and cheese & ham toastie is poor. Especially when the £8.00 toastie looks is this bad … Won’t eat here again.

I came to Stratford on vacation from New Zealand and decided to try this place TiramisU. Honestly, the way the managers treat the staff is disgusting. They were rude and dismissive the whole time, and it made the atmosphere really unpleasant. Hard to enjoy dessert when you’re watching people get treated so badly. Totally ruined the experience.
